Either RolePlayerGuild.com is glitching, or everyone is studiously ignoring my PMs.

Come on guys, it's been a week. I gave you all the benefit of the doubt. Maybe you all went drinking Monday, got hung over Tuesday, began your posts Wednesday, and ran into writer's block Thursday. But it's Friday now, and there's nothing. Come on, guys. We can't wait forever.
I'll post a new round tonight. Anyone who doesn't take their turn forfeits it.
Saturday thru Monday are no-posting days, especially around the holidays, so maybe I'm just paranoid.

Have a good holiday, everyone! Let posting resume Tuesday.
I wasn't being sarcastic at all. I know that tone of voice can be difficult to read on the internet, though. I don't want to force anyone to post anything. As was noted, that's how we lose players. I just wanted to collect information. I'm not omniscient; I don't know whether the absence of a story post for several days in a row is due to business, disinterest, difficulty, or whatnot. Because of that, I don't know how long to wait before asking why the holdup.

Should I wait 3 business days? 3 calendar days? A week? Because on the one hand, I totally get where you're coming from, but on the other hand, I know for a fact that players tend (not always, mind you) to lose interest after 3-4 days of inactivity. The creative spark vanishes, writing becomes work, and the RP gradually dies as people just stop posting.

Put yourself in my shoes. If it has been 2-3 days since the last post, RPs begin death throes after 3 days, you don't want to piss off the players who have a life outside of RP, and you have no idea why we're waiting, what would you do in my shoes?

EDIT: Look at me, digging more holes for myself. You're right, I'll lay off. Enjoy the holiday. :)

Are you guys waiting for something before posting?

For the record, my posts mark the beginning and end of each round of posting, unless otherwise noted. Though you may only post once per round, you may post in any order you like until my next post marking the next round.

To help identifying when each round begins and ends, the post will open with the following title: {ROUND}
Any post not marked with {ROUND} does not restart the posting round.
So what does the curse ending entail?

Also can Vert keep the sword?

The curse ending means they can cast magic again. It also means their strength will no longer be sapped.

As for keeping the sword...what do you think, @Darkwatck01?
No pressure. I've been working my bee-hind off lately too, so I haven't been able to give as much attention to my RPs as I'd like. Write when you're able. :-)

While everyone else's rings were activating, the Storyteller's ring did not. It wasn't until Tiberius, Ivan, and Kaite began their violent clash with the Warlock when the ring began to grow hot on the Storyteller's finger. It trembled with magic power and spilled blinding light from all sides. The mana of frustration poured out into his fingers and exploded, sending a blazing fireball hurtling toward the Warlock.

More mana poured into his fingertips. Erudessa's message was clear.

"Not one of us here would ever bend their knees for you, demon," Tiberius began. "Loyalty is earned, not asked for. Now, how about we have a fair fight? Eru, please help me in this fight!" At that moment, strength poured from the ring into every fiber of his being. His mind felt sharper and clearer, like he could dodge arrows without breaking a sweat. His arms twitched with newfound power such as rivaled orcs. Now more than ever, he was ready to face the Warlock.

And he was not alone, for Ivan and Kaite joined the duel, themselves empowered by the rings. The Warlock was a mighty foe, but with the might of a high elf at his back and the strength of friends at his side, they would challenge their enemy yet.

@Rekaigan
As the Warlock closed in on Zenovia, three figures suddenly shot in and clashed with him. Even in the darkness, the three seemed to radiate with courage, utterly unafraid of the monster that had paralyzed her. In a few moments, she recognized them as Tiberius, Ivan, and Kaite. One of them uttered Zenovia's name - Ivan was fighting for her.

A voice penetrated her mind.

"Why do you tarry, Zenovia? The day may come when your feet shall tread the earth unaccompanied by others, but it is not this day. This day, you have friends at your side. Rise, and take heart, for victory is near at hand, and you have only to reach out and grab it."

Her tone took a humorous note. "After all, I'd be remiss if we let a couple of swashbucklers have all the fun. Go get 'em, girl."

Laina and Vert took hold of the sword and pulled with all their might. Sweat poured from their palms and loosened their grip on the sword, but they did not falter. It seemed to be held down by magic, for any other weapon would have torn out of the ground in the blink of an eye. Yet, there was no magic in the world that could have held the sword against these two women. Inch by inch, the blade came out of the earth.

Suddenly, the point drew free, and a moment of utter darkness filled their vision. The magic energy settled and dispersed, and they could see the forest again.

They had broken the curse!
Sorry guys, got on an Elsword kik recently. Levelled up Erudesse and Karesu something fierce. I think I got most of it out of my system. I'll post soon.

I was thinking about how to handle RP combat situations while I was at work today. I decided on a semi-rapid posting schedule, where we can post as often as we want within about five seconds of in-game time. That adds up to about 2-4 posts per player, depending on how they're written. Opinions?

I'm waiting for the wish I made in my last IC post to be granted 1st.

Oops, goong to take care of that next post.
