Ashe went on to search for the valuables and after some quick searching found a banner. A horse in running position.

Taking a moment to recall if she ever saw something akin to it :

She wasn't sure. Something sparked in her mind about it but nothing clear.

Rolling it back to make it easy to carry, she went back to the group to ask if anyone else has a clue when Gwyneria asked the questions that she, once upon a time, asked the magical group that taught her. They gave her the answer in the form of one word, luck.

" I can answer all your questions with one word. Luck but I assume that won't satisfy you. So, let's take the questions one by one. Yes, I was here before but only briefly before the attack. No, I didn't know where the valuables were otherwise I wouldn't have used my lucky dice to find them. No, it wasn't a summoning spell. That sounds complicated and if I could've simple summoned stuff, why would would I not just summon the stuff at our feet? I don't know how to scry for things either. I was simply lucky. I roll my dice and if the dice roll is high, stuff that I said, thought or intended to do happen. If the dice roll is low then bad things happen. So, as I said, I was just lucky for things to work out my way, this time. Now we can pursue the attacker faster without having to look around the whole camp. " said Ashe, a playful smile on her face.

@Cyrania

" Now, does anyone know what this is? "

She rolled the banner for all of the group can see and inspect.
Ashe looked at the suprised or simply friendly faces of the people gathered, even as more would drive or walk towards the mansion. As she stepped out of her portal, it would soon close leaving small traces of, what she called magic wisps that flew up in the air and disappeared.

Some of the others started talking to each other describing their powers. "Seeing the dead" was the sentence that drew Ashe's attention the most. That was clearly a necromancer to be. A good friend to have or a very fun enemy. All the books she read indicated that necromancy was bad but those were books and real life...real life doesn't usually follow the rules set by books.

One of the women moved her hand and flowers grew around Ashe's feet. Stepping on them to prove to herself that those are actual flowers and some sort of illusion magic, Ashe nodded to herself. A druid of sorts. This group of theirs proved to be very interesting, each with different magic types.

An educated guess would be that this benefactor of theirs either understands all types of magic, which would be hard to believe for a mere human to be able to learn in such a small period of time or that their benefactor was not human. One of the creatures the letters spoke about.

As one of the gathered mages approached the door and tried to open it something strange happened. A feeling. Something magical. Ashe's attention was fixated on the house and no matter how much she tried to look away or summon her powers, she couldn't and then the mansion started repairing itself.

Suddenly they were put on the ground as the spell that captured them faded. Ashe felt drained, as if her magic and the other's magic was drained of them to allow the house to awaken.

Once more, the door was opened and this time, something akin to breathing from the house could be felt. Magic was in the air and it was thick. A house cannot breathe unless, if the books were true, it was possessed and if a mansion this big would be possessed then her second hypothesis was confirmed. The benefactor wasn't human.

Soon Ashe found herself imobile and lifted in the air. Herself and 3 more, were being drawn to the mansion. "Put me down you pile of wooden shit! Put me down this instant or I'll make sure to burn you down after I free myself! " shouted Ashe at the mansion. Nothing happened and she was being pulled even faster towards it. With a deep breath, Ashe opened a portal right in front of her and another behind the group. As she was pulled towards it, she went through, appeared on the other side and felt jerked back to the mansion. Stronger this time.

The battle lost with the magic that pulled her inside, Ashe let herself be carried. Saving her strength for later. Eventually, the group that was floated inside was placed on a couch. Drinks floating in front of them. Picking something alcoholic from the selection, Ashe looked around. Drink in hand.

" Chill down princess. It's magic. Haven't you seen any movies? Someone is flexing their magic muscles to show us they're the boss. Think about it, if they wanted us dead, we would be already. Have a drink and wait for it. Worst case scenario, hold tight to the couch. I can't promise where we'll end up but it'll be better than here. " said Ashe to Alora (@MagratheanWhale) as she shouted.

@Dark Cloud He explained somewhere in the thread. Easier for him to keep track of character developments, inventory etc but I'm sure he'll explain better.
@Lucky Understood. Eloquence it is then. Thank you for the help! I'm sure I'll have more questions later on but that's all for now.
Not really to be honest. Both work with my idea of character but Eloquence has that silver tongue talent which combined with expertise would make my changeling get a massive boost to Deception/Persuasion rolls. Add to that the infections inspiration and the bardic inspiration ability gets "buffed" properly.

It would work better than creation but if the campaign is leaning more towards full-on combat, creation is technically better as I could animate objects to fight for me / create different items when needed.
What do you recommend, @Lucky, in terms of bardic college? I know some of them only work well with certain campaigns (College of Intrigue for example).

Currently thinking about Creation or Eloquence.
@Lucky No, no. It's fine. I won't go the monk path as I cannot say I remember how to play one.

Due to Cami-Cat (Life of a Bard) and "1 for All", I'll try a bard. Last time I played one the campaign got out of control (we all died by angering the DM, long story) before I could even reach level 5. I've also got a background story half-thought out for her/him/them, so, there's that.
@Lucky I'd say 40% familiar. I've played one ages ago.

Had a thought about it and I think it would be better for me to stick to what I know than try to explore for now. I'll go to my usual go-to and then if needed, branch out.
@Lucky It is done actually, if you want to look to see I chose the right bits and pieces. Haven't done a character on DnD:B in a while. Milestone, point buy, equipment.
@Lucky Making a character now as well but will leave somethings blank until OCC is done, if that's alright.
