"It was definitely a long one alright, but it was full of friends and fun so all together worth it." Rivers expression changed with the subject as he watched Reylan carefully as if looking for a clue.
"So how went the talks on our mining deal? Did you and Xenos strike an accord or something? Was he offensive? I'm sorry if he was, he can be...a handful at times" he said as his eyes darted over towards Xenos who was currently speaking to the quest giver.
Reylan looked at him with a small bit of confusion but suddenly realized what he was talking about
"Oh it went well I think. I managed to talk to the council after about actually getting the iron secured but they want us to clear 'The Ravine' dungeon and clear out the mines before they would bee willing to give us it." The only way to offend Reylan would be to directly insult him in some way.
Chari decided to chime in after River
"I went monster slaying around the outskirts of the city. In fact, it was only a bit ago that I actually came back into the city." She said with a grin, looking proud of how she spent the day
"So tonight we're gonna tell spooky stories and spread delicious rumors right?" Her voice took on a sinister tone that matched the smirk on her lips.
"Chari?!"Xenos whirled around with a gasp, clutching his chest tightly.
"Spreading rumors and gossiping?! I'm disappointed! Disappointed I didn't suggest it first!"Xenos laughed and walked over to her, keeping a bit if space between them.
"So Reylan, they suggested the dungeon clear? How many dungeons are on this floor again?"Aster stood quietly but contentedly, idly tapping her fingers against the pommel of her katana. It looked like a companionable group, so she was happy enough to stand quietly. Chari and Xenos were loud enough, she felt no need to add to it.
"Four, there are four dungeons on this floor Xenos. Three of which are area dungeons and the fourth being the floor dungeon that will allow us to move onto the next area and get one step closer to beating Talrae." River turned to face Aster and smiled giving her a thumbs up
"Perfect! This'll give us a chance to practice what we spoke about on the way here. As for tackling this new dungeon...I was hoping we could get a group together tomorrow anyways. Scout it out before actually attempting it. I could attempt to use my Monster knowledge skill to gain information on what lays in wait for in so when we do tackle it head on we can have some form of strategy. I was thinking midday tomorrow we all go the the area and delve slightly in, see how far we can go and how much info we can gather at once. Between Monster Knowledge, Gathering Nodes, Dungeon Mapping and who knows what else I'm sure we could get a pretty penny for it all and that could help us get even stronger gear to really tackle that dungeon after the festival." he said as he turned to face the entire group hoping they liked his plan.
Reylan listened to River was considerably impressed with his line of thinking
"I agree, gathering some information ourselves would help a lot when we finally take it on in force. We could also complete the mines quest either on the way there or on the way back. It has been up for some time so we best do it quick as possible." He of course would be going. Reylan was in charge of these people now and he wouldn't let them go into a dungeon without him. His attention turned to Xenos and Chari, their two mischief makers
"They did." A small glare in his eyes, disapproving of gossip spreading.
She looked at Xenos with a smug grin
"I'm sure everyone here has got some juicy information to spill..." The only information she really listened to from Rey Rey and River was about going to a dungeon though the look she and Xenos were getting from the guild-master suggested he wasn't too enthused about their gossiping
"Don't worry about it Rey Rey, it won't get too spicy." Her grin turning more devilish.
Xenos rolled his eyes at Reylan.
"Jeez, calm down Rey Rey. Cute nickname by the way. Anyways, Chari's right, harmless gossip only. Cross my heart and hope to die!~" he sang. He looked around.
"Who else we waiting on at this point?" He looked around and when no one said anything otherwise he shrugged and whirled back around to Watchmaster Loran.
"Well, I guess that's it then sir. Do what you wish with us Watchmaster!"
