Max continued forward towards where the guards were headed, attempting to follow the two assailants that harmed the Queen. The whole time he was wondering to himself why he cared, why bother saving a fictional person from a fictional world. Then again, he wasn’t fictional, and chances are neither were these people; the knowledge of whether death in this timeline meant death in the regular one was unknown and as a decent person, he couldn’t abide by someone getting harmed while he stood idly by. Thoughts flashed through his mind, trying to sort out which memories belonged where, as well as why Wanda would lie about her knowledge of this world. Something was up.

All of that however, had to wait, Max had spotted one of the
Human Resistance members (funny, how were they any different than the Purifiers?) a man who seemed to be stopped at an exit by Pietro. Clearly these people didn’t plan too far ahead when crashing a large mutant soirée. ”Not another step further! Alucniv!” Anger rushed through Max as he faced against another bigot against mutants, his hands were covered in cosmic dust and energy, his eyes glowing like two nebulas staring straight at her. He moved his arms as if he was conducting a symphony. Thick metal chains began to appear and form from the walls and floor. One wrapped around the man’s left wrist, the other around his right, one managed to snag him neck and the final one gripped onto his waist. They held him down in place, locked to the floor. ”Why?! Why would you do this?”

Max ignored Sunshine for the most part, choosing to chalk it all up to her age and parents than to think more onto the fact that yet another person might dislike him. He grabbed what he deemed to be an appropriately sized box for the pieces that had been shown off so far, as well as for what he thought may be going into it later. Walking up towards Casper, he nudged him on the shoulders and smiled a bit. ”Nice National Treasure reference. It does kinda feel like this sort of thing would be up Nick Cages alley. Parts?”

After a bit, Max had moved over to where Jack was currently standing, holding the box up a bit higher as he said ”Please sir, may i have some more?” in a dreadful cockney accent. He turned to look towards James with a slight smile, attempting to make himself more pleasing, while also being happy that at least someone was sticking up for him. ”What more do we need? I can help search once I’m done gathering up the parts from everyone. I can also be muscle if needed for those who go up to the grab the generator, since their hands will be too full to fight if needed.:

Jinx was in high spirits as he left the yacht, literally cartwheeling away full of excitement to have something to do. Once on the docks he noticed that Requiem had stopped walking and began to tap his cane in an irratating fashion. Jinx quickly stopped his wheeling and landed before Requiem, giving him a childishly quizzical look. ”What’s the game plan man? You got the look about you like the wheels are just turnin’ away.” He blew a large bubble in front of Requiem, letting it pop naturally before continuing to chew his gum again. Once Requiem had given him the plan, Jinx looked at the man, cocked his head, and went ”Soooo you want me to cause a scene as usual? I knew you’d come around sooner or later pal! One ruckus coming up!’

As Jinx skipped down the street, heading towards Frost International, he began to sing Ta-ra-ra-Boom-deya to himself while wagging his fingers around as if conducting the piece. His spirits were high and that meant he wanted to cause more mischief than usual. Spotting a lady with an ice cream cone, Jinx grinned as he decided to send one of his specialty bad lucks to her, She went to lick the Ice cream and HA! It fell right off the cone!...and straight into Jinx’s face. Ok, not how that was meant to go but that’s fine. He kept on skipping ahead, wiping the treat onto his sleeve. A family of tourists were to his left trying to make some memories. But what better memory to have than a horrid photo. Another jinx was sent out to the family and he couldn’t be happier; this shall make up for the ice cream on him. Except, nothing happened, nothing at all. What rubbish! He headed straight towards Frost Internationals Lobby, now stomping his way there in a slight tinge of anger. When his luck continued to be sour, as he wasn’t being let up, he pulled out his phone and messaged Requiem ’They wont let me in, when will you get here so you can use that silver tongue?’

As Max stepped through the portal, he took his time looking around. Listening to Sunshine and James about what they saw as well as what was needed. The height of the shelves alone were easily more than twice his height. Boxes upon boxes of stuff not in use and ripe for the taking for those that need it. Sure Wrgs ideology was a bit skewed and wrong, but he was a man spurned by his own country twice over and it made sense to not want to join the fight and hide. Max watched as Jack casually stretched up towards the top shelf, immediately finding some of the pieces needed for these repairs. Suppose he was as good of a detective as he made himself out to be.

Max walked around the table. Running his gloved fingers down the edge and atop the surface. His eyes scanning it for any potential parts they may of left laying around. Nothing really seemed to grab his attention however. All this stuff looked about the same to him and although he knew what some of the pieces were and looked like, he wasnt quite sure how to find them in this massive warehouse. As Max neared the end of the table, he set his sights on a new target. There was a box right in front of him on one of the lower shelves. Figuring that climbing these things was more hazard than it was worth, he opted to go fro eye level and lower, however his prize was nothing more than a gag. Boxes within boxes within boxes of boxes. Nevertheless he took one and held it up stating "I may not have his keen eye but I found an empty box we can use to transport the smaller stuff easier."

Now this was getting sweeter and sweeter. Not only are they gaining access to Frost Internationals headquarters, but they also get special bracelets to help them bypass all the anti mutant devices ser in place. Jinx took his bracelet and admired it for a moment, noting its design before finally placing it on his wrist and then pulling down his long sleeve to attempt to hide it. Sure it was horrible that they were being betrayed by one of their own kind but, how bad can it be when he gets to gain so many new allies and toys along the way. Jinx waved down another server, raising his hand up like a kid in school. "Heyo boy, hows about you get me a nice flask and fill it with that drink you made me earlier. I'd like one for the road."

It appeared Requim was out of questions and the mission could finally begin. Good. Jinx stood up, bending backwards to try and crack his back, chairs were great and all but he preferred a pillow top bed or soft sofa that he could sink into. "Finally we can take this show on the road. Not that I don't love your company Mr.Shaw but I much prefer the action over words." Finishing his stretching, Jinx propped his hands upwards and began to cartwheel away from Shaw. "Toodles! Dont fall behind Requim! We got work to do! Whoo hoo!"

Max heard Wanda speak back to him, telling him how she was oblivious to what it was that ge was talking about. Of course she was, why wouldnt she be? It's so much easier to lie about being in a false world when you're right at the top, she was somebody and clearly had what she wanted in this new universe, reality? Timeline? Not that he could complain either, his life was equally amazing here. Fans adored him, people didnt dispose him or find him to be more of a liability than he was worth. Moments later a small girl approached him with Wanda in tow. He began to wonder if it was worth setting the world back into order. "An interesting way for an interesting man. My names -" suddenly someone began screaming that the Queen had been attacked, the selfsame one who threw him into this new adventure.

"Introductions can wait, suppose I should make myself useful and catch those bastards." Max stepped off from the group and began to search the crowd, looking for the ones responsible. He may not know if he would fix reality yet, but he owed it to this realities Queen to capture her assailants. However the commotion worked for the oposers as there was hardly any trace for him to follow, that is except for the guards tailing after them. Perfect Max placed his hands down by his side and his eyes began to glow their cosmic glow "Aguf" the swirls manifested into nothing. Great, now his powers didnt want to work either? On foot then. He began to run towards the direction that the guards were running, in hopes to help out in some way.

As time ticked, and his nerves began to get the better of him, Max had decided he needed to take action. His eyes slowly moved across the room from left to right, right hand gently pressed beneath his lower lip in a thoughtful pose. Too many people around. Of all places why did it have to happen at the kings party? Magneto's party. Max thought to himself while he attempted to examine the situation his was in, contemplating a series of ways to go about this predicament he was presented with. I could spotlight her and then me? No, too flashy and would draw everyones attention. Maybe I could make tiny wooden penguins around her? Ugh stupid, what would that even mean? Ok, what if I just attempt to telepo- no, that may be seen as an attempt or threat.

Max snapped his fingers as an idea finally clicked that he may be able to work with. Shrugging his shoulders back to propel him off the wall he was leaning on, he now stood straight, eyes on the target. He cupped one hand over his mouth as if he was whispering a secret to someone, yet no sound came out. After about a minute he was finally able to finish it off, wishing that some of his powers wouldnt take so long, but still happy they worked better in this new world. A whisper was now present in Wanda's ear, one only she could hear.
It would appear I'm not the only one who knows this world is false Wanda Maximoff. I would very much appreciate a chat.
As soon as he felt she had heard his message, Max began to create a long scarlet chiffon ribbon. It started at Wanda's position and began to stretch and flow towards Max, leading her to him if she cared to follow it.

Max turned and looked at Blink, her too huh? "Its not what I meant by 'her victims.'" Max flipped the faux fur collar up a bit to mask his face briefly as he turned to have his back face the group. Fixing his jacket a bit before pulling the collar back down. He could feel the portal open up behind him, its light faintly glowing from behind. Max turned to face the group once more, sunglasses still on as his eyes scanned the people before him, his face stoic. It appeared that Leighton, Jack, Erg, and Blink were all upset with him in some fashion or another. While James, the hobo (Casper?), and Sunshine seemed to barely notice his existence at all. One mistake, that's all it was, but one mistake is all it takes for a purifier to put a bullet between their eyes.

Max turned his face to look at Leighton for a moment. "I'd help you with your training, but I don't know how much help I can actually be. If you want to...after the supply run, I have a few ideas for how you can potentially utilize your powers and train them essentially." a smile flashed across his face and he watched as James and Jack entered the portal. Max may have had a lot to apologize for but from what he could see Jack hadnt even thanked Leighton for essentially sacrificing herself to save him. Granted that wouldnt of been needed had he himself not messed up. Leaving him to wonder if he had any room to speak to Jack about this matter. He mouthed a 'thank you're to Leighton before turning back around and stepping through th portal.

Holy cheeseballs! A sentinel? An actual prototype sentinel was stolen and they waited nine days to speak about this? Well well well, it appears things arent always perfect for the Black King. Ofcourse this wasnt Jinxs handiwork, no, he wouldnt dream of using his bad luck to benefit another...then again, this actually benefitted him? ([i]sigh[/]) If only he could actually take credit for this one, such a brilliant display. Peej quickly downed his drink and placed it on the floor for a servant to come by and take, picking off his gum from the rim and chewing it once more. He was as ready as any to get cracking on the case, that is until Requim spoke up.

The suited man of many questions. Jinx would be annoyed if not for the fact that everything he asked was actually important and perti-perta-peppermint? Whatever word those smart guys use to say very crucial. His left leg began to shake a bit, the back heel lifting and falling repeatedly as his excitement began to brew. "I'm with Requim on this, nine days is an awful lot of time to fiddle around with such a dangerous toy. Now you've got me interested in who it would be too. I presume some tech genius, but we do need to have more information. As much as it annoys me to say it Requim is right on the money with what he asks everytime."

So much had changed in such a short while since he was gone. Not only did he now have a new reality to consider, but now there were penguins wobbling about, THE Scarlet Witch was interacting with others and then suddenly the penguins vanished. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and acting quite normal, then again, so was he before he was given this new life. Max leaned the back of his head against the wall, eyes closed, as he began to think on the new developments. "What's if this is all a test? A way to prove my loyalty to the court?" That didnt make sense, he used his powers and found out there were indeed others like him. He tapped his finger against his arm, as they lay crossed on his chest. What to do, what to do.

Max opened his eyes once more and began to look about the room. Searching for his target to see if they were free, as well as how they were currently acting. It wasnt too difficult to find them again, having not strayed too far from where they previously were. Max watched them like a hawk, yet attempted to seem as if he was just observing the party from afar. It would appear that his target was being accompanied at the present time, making it more difficult for him to approach. Max began to think of what the possible odds were that of all the people in the world, all those that were awoken, he found one at the same party he was at, then again, his powers were always efficient. He decided to wait a bit longer before introducing himself, perhaps an opening would form, if not he would have to make one.

Salem listened to the professor with rapt attention. This subject was definitely more his speed, and piqued his interest far more than the previous class with Aaron. His pencil was flying across his paper as the professor spoke, jotting down ever crucial detail that he needed to help him further his place in magic. It appeared that even the highly educated weren't sure as to exactly why vampires were incapable of weilding these forces, what's more why it caused mages to die in the process of a turning. Though, the reasoning that their kind weren't allowed to be studied was well enough to blockade any advances on this subject. Such a shame too, but that could only make one wonder...did they have an even larger glaring weakness that they didnt want found out?

Salem's thoughts were interrupted as Max ended up speaking up, asking about the tertiary elements and the hassles that come with them. All Salem could think was That's rough buddy. It was no wonder Max was such an ornery guy, constantly callous towards those around him and just visibly upset. If Salem couldnt even spark up a measly bolt of magic, well, hed be just as upset as Maxwell was. You never really do know what someones going through huh? Salem wrote down in the margins of his notes "Find focuses and elements for tertiary magics to help Max." Salem tapped his pencil against his lower lip as he begun to think of the materials he has at his disposal...had at his disposal. Ok, a new plan was needed.

Thankfully the professor shook Salem out of train of thought when he switched subjects and began a slideshow of sorts. Images of horror and warnings to those who boasted their power too much. Engorged veins, extreme hives and so much worse was there for all to see. Luckily, Salem has seen some grotesque things himself, yet that didnt stop him from finding even a few of them to be disturbing to say the least. He spoke of foci and their importance, showing a clip of a water who simply ceased to be. His mind quickly raced to Lilie as she mentioned her affinity at lunch, then it danced over to her fiery partner, a thought of her catching in flames as she turned to ash and crumbled. Then, Salems phone vibrated against his leg. He flicked it out under his seat and saw a message preview from Aaron.

> Hey, your tattoos are your focus right? Are they done in enchanted ink or something?

Salem smiled a bit at the idea of it. Then put his phone away without answering. Enchanted ink? Well that all depends on your definition of "enchanted" Was the ink specially made and prepared? Yes. Was it costly? Not as costly as the previous iteration of the ink was. But enchanted? That's definitely something he may need to look into a bit more. One of those subjects you just know about but never really thought twice on. But why would he want to know? Surely he could've asked at any point since Affinity Mastery, so why now?.

"Huh, a combination of both plans. Very handy and very cool Blink. Also thanks for the heads up, now I know to to touch Sunshines victims in the future. Hopefully that information wont be needed but...its good to have." Max said to Blink as he watched the portal open up then close before his eyes. If it wasn't for the fact that the portal wouldve led him inside a volcano, he wouldnt of minded jumping in, seeing a more tropical sight. He wanted to ask about how she knew this place, and why she'd dumped corpses there before, but her posture told him it was best not to ask.

Max turned and saw Jack hugging Sunshine, Leighton and Sunshine being praised by Erg, and the hobo and James getting along. He took a few steps back, distancing himself from the group. It was clear to him that they didnt really need him, and why would they? After all he most likely caused that mess up above by carelessly using his powers out in public and then darting off. He was a long ways away from being a Hero like the X-men. Max cleared his throat, loud enough to gather their attentions he hoped. "So, the supply mission. How do we want to do this?"

Jinx took the glass from the server with a Chesire smile, mouthing a thank you as he sat upright. He took out his gum and plopped it on the rim of the cup, turned the cup slightly so that the wad now lay on the other side before he took a sip. It was truly uncanny what people could do with alcohol these days, capable of masking that horrid taste with an array of sugary sweet flavors to tantalize the palette. He let the adults talk for a moment while he sat back and enjoyed his drink, happy he brought sunglasses as the high noon sun beat down upon them with its harsh light.

The conversation, it seemed, began to stray for a moment. Speaking about gin and juniper, vermouth and gods knows what. A lot of big words were being thrown around that Jinx could luckily piece together based on what they sounded like. When the conversation finally went back to this asset Jinx sat forward in his chair, holding the drink with both hands, both annoyed that Requim had asked what he was about to, but also happy to see that he was just as curious as he was about this missing piece. "If you dont mind me tacking onto that. Are you wanting it found and returned?"

A puzzled look took over Max as Miranda spoke riddles to him. Something about knowing this world wasnt his? He was a mutant, ofcourse this world belonged to him, well after the king ofcourse. Miranda gripped his wrists and the last thing he saw was a flash if purple in her eyes. All of a sudden images and thoughts began to flood his mind, people he'd never seen before suddenly being known, his parents love and support ripped and torn apart by a group of anti-mutant people, a whole new reality suddenly bursting into his head as his eyes held wide and a single tear rolled down his cheek for a moment before the 18 years of another life suddenly halted. Max blinked for a few seconds, his breath unknowingly held, and then finally released in a long slow exhalation. He held his hand up to his eye and wipes the tear away, composing himself once more as Miranda told him to blend in and remain calm. But...was this world really so bad?

With another bow to the Queen he said "Thank you for your time, now, if you'll excuse me for a moment." Max began to walk away from her, his father now close behind him. Right, how could he forget that his father was now his servant and that he'd follow him around, or...do as he's told. "Why are you following me? Why can't you read my mind? Go, find another servant of the Royal family and deliver the presents to them. The king is not to be disturbed and I need a moment alone. Now begone." Max quickly turned around and headed to the mens restroom, surely he may find some piece in there without seeming too suspicious. Max swung the door open and began to look and see if there were any others inside there. Ofcourse, to his luck, there were several people. Since when is a guys bathroom full? Max waited for a moment and the large stall freed up, he quickly took its place and waited for the rest of the people to clear out before going to the door and locking it.

"Ok Gray, you got this. Etativel Ihim." Max gingerly jumped up, crossing his legs crisp cross as he levitated there staring at the mirrors that lined the wall. "Tixere Es Teinevni." His eyes began to glow they're typical cosmic color as his hands flipped through the mirrors like pages in a book, constantly swiping until finally two images appeared, extremely blurred out, as if this universe was fighting back at him, hiding it secrets. His left hand swiped left as his right went right, the images now split between two mirrors, two potential candidates that are awoken like himself. Max moved the left image before him into the mirror right in front of him, focusing on it until the image shattered and blew away like dust. "Damn it. Ok. You got this, one more shot." He moved the right image to his forefront, closing his eyes and focusing on making it clearer, sharper. His eyes opened and there stood his potential ally. "Holy..." Max quickly dismissed all powers and landed back on his feet. Max slowly made his way back out into the party, and began to look around as he leaned against a wall alone.
