It all happened so fast. One moment he was heading towards the restroom to duck away for a while, the next there was an overwhelming amount of force placed onto his sleeve as he was flung into the womans restroom. Matthew immediately closed his eyes, not knowing what had caused it as well as wanting to respect the privacy of the others who might be in here. A voice spoke, demanding things of him and he slowly opened his eyes to see the fork that was now aimed at his throat. He winced slightly as he began to worry for his life. This was all becoming too real. It wasnt fantasy, or imagination, it was a real life situation in where he could die for simple actions. His legs began to quiver and shake as his bladder threatened to betray him. There was a knot in his throat that stopped him from speaking, coupled with a hot sensation of something threatening to climb up his esophagus.

Matthew had to think fast, how could he get himself out of this situation and in one where he could talk freely. His eyes began to lose focus as he felt a faint coming on. This was too much for his anxiety and he needed to move quickly. His hand made it's way towards the deck of cards he carried on him, in case he ever wanted to impress Colby. He carefully slid it out without her notice, in fear that she would drive the fork into him. His hands trembled as he attempted to make the cards fly at her in order to create a diversion. The trembling caused the cards to fall out and onto the floor beneath him where all he could think was RUN. So he did. He bolted towards the restroom and hid inside one of the stalls as his shaking voice finally spoke with tears welling up. "I-I-Im an o-orphan just like y-y-you. T-t-that woman k-knows our p-parents. Says the need h-h-hel..." the rest fell into mumbled tears as he began to grow more anxious and in fear of the situation.

The air seemed tense, or was that just him? It was scary how the family resemblance shined through, from the way the spoke to how they acted it was like looking at a mirror. Honestly he wouldnt be surprised if they each crossed their legs at the same time and folded their hands in unison. For now it appeared that they may have reached a difficult move on the metaphorical chess board. Someone would have to give in but it was only a matter of who. He agreed with Leighton, and understood why Emma couldnt divulge every secret to them. But she invited them, she asked them to give her a chance so now was her time to plead her best case it felt like.

Max neatly folded his hands in his lap as he saw that there was no further way to move this discussion than to join their society in full. He collected himself as his eyes scanned the mutants before him before going towards Leighton and finally landing on Reeva. "I can see where this is headed, and rather than muck about at a stalemate, I'd love to hear the opinions of those who work for you and with you. Do you mind leading me to the training room? It's been a while since I could stretch my powers and what better way to forge friendships than with healthy sparring." His voice was cool, calculated, and hoping that this was the right move.

Jinx could practically hear the sadness dripping through the anger filled scream of his friend. It was never his intention to hurt her. He would never hurt her. But somebody had, and somehow Pietro was a part of it. He didn't know who it was or what they did, but he'd make them pay. He clenched his fist tightly as he punched the wall with all his forces, breaking the skin on his middle knuckle and causing some blood to pool up. He then placed his forehead against the wall facing Wanda, his voice low but audible to her and full of regret and sincerity as he spoke. "I'm sorry Wanda I didn't know. I've missed so much since I left I...it was callous of me. But I'm going to get you out of here and I'll kick whoever's ass needs kicking to make sure you two are back together. I may only be able to alter luck, but I'd change the world for you." He slid down slowly, head still against the wall as he was now sitting on the floor.

There was a new sort of...conviction in Jinx. The same spark he had when moving towards D.C. He ignored Luminous for now, her comments meaning nothing in terms of their situation as she was also being detained. Doom however had his uses. His mind was still brilliant and his knowledge more valuable than any Jinx he could lay at the moment. "Doom you're gonna help me right some wrongs here, all of you are. Esme, Phoebe, Sophie, if you have nothing important to add then shut it for now. Luminous you may be the final whatever or another but you're still here, trapped, so dont act all high and mighty you cheap knock off. Now Doom, tell me what you can in as much detail about these callers, the guards, the weaponry, and the shift schedule here. If we play our cards right then we wont need Sage. You're the worlds most brilliant mind and it's not even an x-gene. " Hopefully stroking his ego would help with persuading him to help him out. Jinx may act like a buffoonish child most of the time, but he didnt get this far I'm life on good looks alone.

Tonight was certainly full of surprises, most notably having to agree with Aaron and now having to side with Max. He had a point as to the potential for Nox coming towards his dorm as well, it wouldnt be much safer than Salems. Honestly, it might be better if Salem asked Victor to stand guard during the night as he was probably the only vampire brutish enough to stand up to Nox, let alone take her in a fight. His eyes darted between the pair as tensions rose and Eris quickly displayed his aura of Master and Mage. He'd been fairly coy with Max up until now, seemingly tolerating the metal mages stubbornness and unwillingness to bend, but in just a moment he showed that he was like most other Vampires. When things didn't turn out their way, they showed dominance over their mage in order to take back the reigns and show who is truly in control.

Salem had seen this with his families own Vampires once or twice. It was always a frightening display that caused the room to fall silent and air to still. All friendly pretenses melted away and the kind smiles turned to still, frigid, pursed lips. For a split second Eris embodied that same dominance, and it brought Salem back to childhood, seeing a ghost of his vampires in the face of Eris. After a few seconds of silence he coughed to break it as he pulled out his phone. "Right. I'll make sure to stay around back so as to not draw attention, and so that I dont bother you sir." He sent a quick message to Aaron as he began to make his way down the dark tunnel.

"Hey, sorry it took so long to respond. It's been a...crazy night to say the least. I can't speak over message but meet me at Eris's and we can talk there. Don't tell anyone where I am, or that you've spoken to me, and try not to be seen by anyone. I'll explain it all when you get here."

Salem stood there, fist shaking in anger at what had just transpired. This was the second time that he had been manipulated by the royals using a mage as a tool. The more he was surrounded by these royals the more he began to understand how Aaron acted. How he would survive this break surrounded by them? If it was for the strong emotion of anger and betrayal running through him he would have sighed at the thought of having to spend more time around them. Unfortunately for him, strong emotions have the tendency to affect ones magic, it's more so with primary affinities, but this may have been an exception. As he nodded towards him. "I will definitely not be staying. I appreciate the offer and would be more than delighted to take you up on that. Would you mind if I invited someone else there as well? I need to speak to someone if possible." He spoke through gritted teeth, trying to remain calm as his tattoos began to glow faintly. The roots in his mask crept further and further into the mask, small cracks beginning to form in the porcelain on the surface.

Matthew began to blush as Tinker joked about the pair of them oogling each other. Keeping his head a bit low as he bit his lip and looked over the menu for a moment. His leg shook in nerves as Tinker waved at the two girls, ducking his head further into the menu feeling embarrassed. He recognized the pair as either the children of Rapunzel and Flynn, or Robin Hood, or both. It was rather hard to tell by images alone but he knew he was close on the mark with these two. "Can you order me a green tea, sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, and some xiao long Bao please? I'll be back in just a moment ok?. Maddy pulled out his sketchbook, colored pencils, and pencils and drew a rough sketch of Tinker , colored it in, and wrote 'I believe she needs to speak to you two' on the bottom. He carefully tore out the page, folding in in quarters and placing it to the side.

After that he grabbed his straw and tore the wrapper into two pieces, rolling each up into a ball and holding them all in his left hand. Maddy got up slowly and made his way towards the girls, note in his right hand ready to slip it into Cassiopas hand before she had a chance to leave. Being a practiced magician meant knowing how to Sleight of hand things from one hand to another, including the participants. As he made his way past her he slid the note carefully into the palm of her hand and took three more steps, turning to shoot the two balls through the straw at the girls. First it was Cassiopa, missing her widely. Then came Layla, the girl on her phone. Matthew hit the mark, square in her head the small paper beemed her as he turned back and made his way towards the restroom. Hopefully now shed pay attention to more than her phone.

Demetri wasnt sure what to do. Everything seemed to be moving so fast that he couldnt keep up. His mind kept playing the scenes over and over again, thinking of Thanatos, Tartarus, and how this would all come to be. Andy and Arthur seemed to be well taken care of by the campers around them. It was clear that this was more common than some wished to admit, but the numbness to it all hadnt been instilled in him yet. He watched as another camper was also standing, looking lost on what to do or say or where to go. He decided to walk up to Mona, and see if they could keep each other company in these times. His hands were in his pants pockets as he stood near her, staring forward not focusing on anything in particular.

"This is all mad right? I cant be the only one who sees how fucked it is that everyone seems to be acting like this death is just another typical week right?" He looked down on the ground and kicked a pebble away from himself. Watching it as it tumbled away leaving small divots in the ground as it skidded away. "Not really sure what to expect tonight...nor do I know what lays before us tomorrow. All I know is what has been told to me and what news was brought to the campers. But this is bigger than Ash,I can see that now. They dont seem to want to say it out loud but I think this is all connected. Our mission, Ash, and the vision. All of it. We need this Roman mission to go well..."

Max watched as Leighton took in the room. This was her first time here, and Max's first time welcomed in. He knew of the stark differences between this immaculate penthouse, the sewer dwelling Morlocks, and the ruins of the underground. It was enough to wonder why they couldnt all work together. As he looked about the room himself, there was no sign of a struggle. The bar was replaced, no scorchmarks seen from his flames, and the glass leading outside showed no sign of him being tossed out. He stepped further into the room, noting the new face who wasnt present the day of his mission. Reeva Page. What were her strengths? Weaknesses? Powers?

He hadn't extended a hand to her, electing to pet his new cat that was cradled in his arms. "The pleasure is all mine I'm sure. I'm with Leighton, wondering what the next steps are as well as where the rest of this club is." This couldnt have been their only room in a building of this size. Would they allow the pair to wander the halls of the Hellfire Club to figure out what they had to offer? Or would they be condemned to remain in the main room until they had proven their loyalty. "The names Maximillian by the way. Doesn't seem as if you do code names here."

Jinx looked around the cells, noting the translucent walls, collars placed on everyone, and who was kept close to him. The Three in One were still in unison, but for how long that was to remain unseen. There was Wanda...no, a twin? Well...triplet? He didn't recognize her but she looked so much like her and Pietro that it was borderline creepy. Between Bonnie and her he'd swear someone was making clones of every powerful mutant out there which could only mean...He had a clone too! His eyes scanned the area and fell short of any evidence that there was any of a clone of him here.He huffed as he leaned against a wall and looked onwards towards his new roommates. Noting the real Wanda was here as well.

He examined the collar of the mutant next to him and noticed there was a code input in the back. Something to help remove the collars and deactivate the function of dampening. He knew however that touching your own resulted in an immediate shock. He looked around and noted the six heavily armed guard, sighing for a bit as he wondered just how he was going to get out of this one. Chances were he could use his natural skills to swipe a gun and hope each shot landed in their skills before they could alert or pull any triggers. But that wasn't a way out, just a pleasant distraction for the moment.

"Aye, Wanda! Glad to see a familiar face around...well I guess not here but hey familiarity is nice right? Where's Piet?" There was genuine concern in his voice as he asked. If they were able to capture her, he was sure her brother wouldve gotten her out by now right? How long had he been gone from the Brotherhood? How long has she been in here? He hated to bother her while she meditated but was more than enthused to see her. His eyes darted back towards the other her. " Who are you supposed to be anyways? You're not Wanda and I dont recall ever meeting you so what gives?"

As he spoke he began to pace about the room, looking for who best to try and Jinx. Naturally he'd want to free his friend and mentor, however he didn't want to risk shocking her in the process. He settled for one of the Three in One, feeling his power well before a long shock went coursing through his body and shot him down. "Man today's just been shocking huh? What all do you know of these collars Doom?"

Salem watched as the Princess tapped her nail against the desk, sharp and harsh movements yielding almost no sound. His vision wasn't as sharp as a vampires, he couldnt tell if she was actually hitting the desk or merely stopping millimeters before its surface in what could only be years of muscle memory stopping her from ruining several desks. He watched as she tapped a few more times, noting that there was no damage to that area, not a single mark, scratch, or indent that could've come from there mere strength they're race tended to have. He was almost lost in the tapping itself, wondering if there was some code behind it, a message she was trying to convey to others outside this room? But he couldn't gain any further understanding of the noise as it didnt match any coding he knew.

Salem's attention was drawn away as she addressed Max and Eris' whispers. Ofcourse she could hear them, they were known for their hearing. He was sure Eris wouldve known that, well might've known that if he paid attention in his classes, but even then Salem believed that most all would know about a vampires ability to heighten their senses. His families partners may play hosts and show what Salem now considered to be extreme kindness, but he also knew of the fear one could strike in another. He listened to what she said, mentioning they didnt have to defend themselves, and it made him wonder all the more what those two were up to. Salem's magic was no where near where it needed to be to fight off a vampiric attack, and he doubted Max had any useful skill in that matter either.

What perhaps struck him the most was Ryners ability to kneel down before another. Her words were kind, and comforting, leaving Salem to wonder where all of this was during dinner. How could the house be so divided? A small knot began to form in his stomach as he thought of Aaron and the circumstances that he had to grow up in. It helped to explain him in some light, yet it left for more to be desired. Salem felt relief in knowing that the investigation wouldnt be affected by this unfortunate series and he began to relax a bit more. He may not have said it outright, but a Princess should be able to read her councils intentions on their face, it would make sense that she could feel Salems worries.

Salem looked towards Eris and dared not to look back at Ryner as he spoke. An enchantment in place? Of what kind and why? Everything seemed to be going civilly so why worry now about such things? What made him think about the room having some form of magic placed on it? Salems eyes finally turned and landed on the Princess almost as if they were waiting for the answer themselves.

Max heard Sunshines tantrum about the mutants immortality, cursing in some other language hes heard her use once before before tears welled up in her eyes. It was hard to tell if they were from sadness, frustration, or anger. Knowing her it could be any one of those and in any combination. If not for a moment, his heart broke for her, she was clearly struggling and he wanted to offer her a new life. He's seen what the Hellfire Club can offer, he's heard what they have planned, and it might even interest Sunshine; but the damage had been done, erg was killed by one of their members, even if it was a rogue one. His feign seemed to work, Sunshine thought he was under someones controll, granted she wasn't the brightest bulb but it worked. As she proclaimed her enjoyment for fighting him, a part of him just thought "No you won't." As she tossed her Yo-Yo at him and hit the button to keep the doors open. Damn.

Callie, Veil, and Glimpse showed up as Veil barked orders to the others. Max couldnt let Glimpse gain into his mind, but he had no way of blocking her out. He looked around, his pupiless eyes scanning the room for something to distract hr, or knock her out to avoid any form of fight. Suddenly a word flashed inside his mind. "Munmos" He whispered under his breath as dust formed around his palm and flew over to Glimpse. Her eyes began to look weary but she wasnt asleep yet. He tried once more, finally knocking her out as he looked towards Veil and Callie. "Someone might want to catch her so she doesnt hit her head." Max hit the door close button on the elevator and then picked up Sunshines yo-yo, keeping it in his pocket as a reminder of where this all started.

Max picked up the cat, giving it a few pets before nuzzling it into his arms. "Let's go." He wasnt sure if this was the right choice, but he did know that he needed more information on both sides to make that decision. Being promised the freedom to leave if desired was definitely a high motivator to allow him to choose this side...for now. There was still the matter of what Emma was hiding, whether she was doing so because of his presence or because she was keeping a crucial bit of information that may sway their minds away from her. But for now she had a plan, she had an idea that went beyond tomorrow, it was a future for mutants. Not a smuggling route for them. As he made his way down the hall he began to make his eyes glow in an attempt to feign some sort of mind control being forced upon him.

The entrance was now at hand, its same creepy decor littering the hall as he made his way through. Max could see Sunshine atop another mutant, no doubt fighting another revenge filled battle. He looked at Jack and there was a brief pause, a twinge in his heart as he felt guilt for leaving them behind, but this seemed right. So Max turned his head away, coldly, and made his way for the elevator. He didn't want to fight anyone, there was no sense in joining Sunshines brawl. All he wanted to do was to tell them to stop, tell them there was no sense in fighting with their own kind, ask them to join and help shape the future for mutants. But he knew Sunshine, all she wanted was vengeance, death, destruction, and pancakes.
