Maddies mind was pulled out of his romantic wonderland as soon as he heard one of the kids mention a break in. His free hand gripped tightly as his anxiety began to bubble. What if Maleficent was more powerful? What if she could track them all here before they ever even had a fighting chance? "They broke into my place too. Nothing was stolen though, and there was no one inside when I arrived. Did they take anything from you?" Maddie felt Colby remove his hand as he told him to go pick out a sword. He didn’t know how to weild one either, nor did he think he had the courage to use it. He did however decide that it was best to has a sword and not need it, than to not have one and need it. Maddies nodded towards Merlin as he made his way to the chest, ears open and listening incase the curly haired girl decided to answer him, expecting more anger angst.

The chest seemed to be filled with a variety of swords. There were bastard swords whose designs had been warped in many shows and animes. The idea of weilding one seemed badass and Maddie went to reach for its hilt. The sheer weight of the blade insured that he never lifted it off the chest, his weak arms doing little in the struggle to brandish the weapon. Determined to gain some form of defense, he moved to the longswords. Another notable design yet no where near as used in the shows that he watched. Maddie lifted the sword, this time having one hand on the sheathed blade and another on the hilt as if presenting it to someone, his back still facing thr group as he looked up the chest. Unfortunately his strength and general lack of skill kicked in having him drop the weapon back into the chest with a loud clatter. "Sorry sorry." Finally he picked the last sword type within the chest. A sworr typically used as a secondary weapon by the samurais in his animes, though this one with a more European styling, a short sword. They weapon was hefty, and the blade was a third of his size; almost the length of his arm. He pulled the sword half a foot out of its sheath to see the blade before returning it back in and whispering to himself "Snicker snack" as if answering back to Colby earlier.

Max continued to sit and wait for the doctor in his chair. His symptoms seeming to get better in some regards while new ones began to present themselves. The fog in his mind was clearing and he was beginning to recall what he had just said to both Sunshine and Casper. It was as if he was trapped in a bad dream, lucid enough to be aware but still incapable of doing anything about it. This was his sleep paralysis demon come to life. Casper made a comment on how Max must be trying to get into a threesome. Maybe it was the anxiety, or the awkwardness, or perhaps it was the M-Pox, but his veins began to bulge as his stomach recoiled and tightened. He weakly stood up and made it halfway to Glimpses trash can as he threw up.

The good news was it was only vomit, no blood. The bad news was he was in a nightmare. Max wiped his mouth with the sleeve of his coat, as he spoke out weakly towards Casper. "Thats a bit of a jump...I...I haven't even had a first kiss..." He propped himself against the wall, allowing his legs to falter and have him slide down onto the ground as he clutched onto his stomach. He wanted to say more to Casper but couldn't find the words. How does someone day they want to be helpful when it can sound so bad? He turned away from the mutant medium and ignored what Sunshine had said. She was right, theyd never be friends and only a dammed disease would cloud his mind enough to allow such a thought. Though her outright avoidance meant he'd struck a cord, and most likely she was abandoned much like he was.

In the blink of an eye shit hit thr fan. There was tear gas pouring into the room and ofcourse sunshine was at the forefront of it. Max's eyes began to burn more than they ever did at his family's Indian Curry nights. He turned to face the door and kept his bloodshot eyes latched and focused. A pink industrial fan appeared before it, jacks face lining the blades before it spun and blew the gas away from the room. James told them all to leave and Max knew that might prove difficult for some especially with the tear gas in their eyes. If milk helped with curry it was no reason it shouldn't work on eyes...right? He conjured a gallon of milk, full glad the haze of his mind had lifted, and poured a bit onto his eyes, capping back shut. Max moved as fast as he could towards Jack, offering him the milk for his eyes. "Let me help you out of here, I feel a bit better, must be adrenaline."

Everything seemed to be happening so fast. Echo watched as three cowards teamed up to take on a single woman, Sapphire. Only one of which was even able to land a hit. His blood boiled and he wanted to make them pay. It was this hatred, this bigotry that caused the death of his love and he wasn't about to let it happen again. As soon as his skate lifted of the ground a bullet was shot towards his head. Echo allowed the blades to move as he performed a small split allowing the bullet to pass over him before he popped back up. Then a second shot was heard as he watched Cayden block it with his throat. Echo skated right towards him, spinning ok his heels and stopping as he looked at the wound. He was no doctor but he could tell that needed immediate attention and they had to wrap this up fast. He quickly brought out Barry, who took notice of the blood on Caydens neck and the wound left there. Barry placed one hand on the nape of Caydens neck and another over the wound, applying pressure to it in an attempt to help stop the bleeding until Sapphire or James could look at it.

Echo pressed forward, skating past Sapphire "Sapphire, Moonwalker needs immediate medical attention. Go help him and I'll deal with these crétins." He sped off towards the one who'd shot Cayden, and was currently occupied with Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way. Instead of grinding to a halt, Echo used the moment to spin on one leg while the other attempted to kick the purifier, feigning the kick into a punch that was expertly dodged by the man. Echo kept moving, making himself a mobile target and harder to hit. His eyes glancing back at Cayden and knowing they were on borrowed time. "Its youre lucky day. You get to share in the spotlight." Echo caught his voice and shifted it into a beam of light, curving it so that it would hit both purifiers before him. The seemingly MMA adept man dodged the attack as the light continued and hit the other armed man knocking him unconscious.

"Riiiiiiiight. Well I guess I'll wait till later before I go and ask the two to contact Team kidna." Demetri clapped his hands together, clasping them as if to say that subject was over with. Luckily the pair had already moved onto the subject of dating and blood relations. It was definitely an interesting thought, the idea that the blood of gods ran through them yet none were related save those with the same parent. Sure it made it easier to date, but it still felt...off. Then again, so was dragging a mortal into the affairs of gods. Mary had left at this point leaving him alone with Alannah. "So if...I had a child with another demi-god... do they gain both our powers? Are they just human hows that work out?" He leaned against the wall once more, dropping his hands to his side as he awaited the answer. He quickly realized he had essentially asked her about the birds and the bees mythical being edition and his face ran red.

Propping himself off the wall he turned his back to the her as he waved her goodbye. "You know what? I'm fine, I'm gonna go patrol now. Seeyah!" Demetri took a full sprint out as he jumped into the air and became an eagle. He quickly flew about the top of the ship, looking for any enemies or incoming dangers that might lurk on the horizon. In the cloud line he could see some griffins promoting another slew of questions. They had wings like his, the same head and beak, and even talons. Yet its body, tail, and hind legs were of a lion. Was this an ancestor to eagles and lions? Was it a hybrid like a liger, crafted by the gods? Or something entirely different that just was.
He began to think about creationism vs evolution and how the gods may of changed the course of history or even created it. It'd been a while since he gave actual thought to what was happening, having it clash with his atheistic mindset as new evidence kept dismantling what he believed to be true. He quickly swooped down back onto the ship deck, landing next to a railing as his body shifted back and slammed against it. His hands were placed along its top as he leaned forward and hurled. Everything came crashing to him all at once and he could feel his breath quickening in between empty wretches.

Max gave Casper a loopy grin as he tried to wriggle his eyes brows and him and James. He snickered a bit, catching himself and stopping before speaking to the pair. "James did look good in that Red Guard uniform. Maybe later I can conjure you up a new one with handcuffs." His words were slurred as his tongue danced lazily in his mouth, trying its hardest to form words. Max's eyes widened as Casper posed the new question about the toy soldier. Not bothering to speak up and answer him as the words got caught in his throat. His mood began to sour as Capser told him that he wouldnt speak to him beyond the grave, showing Max that he would be just as lonely in the afterlife as he was here. James was sweet, but it was hard to form a good friendship when the one he loves was so adverse to even looking at Max in the eyes.

He turned his gaze away from the pair, staring off at a wall while Sunshine spoke up. His ears began to drip slightly as her words reached them, the sadness overwhelming his anger at her vitriol. "You know Sunny, in another world...another time line...I think we could've all been friends." Maxs words still slurred as the ending half of the word elongated and trailed off into thought. He clicked his tongue a few times before coming back to the subject. "I've been wondering Sun sun. Did your parents leave you like mine did?...: Blood dripped down onto his hand, Max barely noticing as he lifted it slowly, the weight of the world trying to hold it down, and wiped a tear from his eye as he accidentally smeared blood across his cheek.

Everyone had seemed to make their way out of thr auditorium. A cold harsh breeze blowing past him as Sapphire created an ice slide out of there. "Man that is cool." Echo ran over to grab a can of ginger ale and stuffed a few in his bag before going back towards the exit. The door was now propped open by the chunk of ice between its frame. There was only three ways Echo was going to be able to leave, either he'd have to crawl under the slide, go to another door, or the most likely option, skate down the slide. Echo slid his designer bag in front of him so that he could reach the top pocket and into the bottom of his bag, pulling out a pair of clip on skates before climbing on top of the ice slide. "Let's boogie boys." Echo skated down the ice slide, turn and kicking up flecks of ice as he followed its path until inevitably going to the exit and having the transition from ice to road knock him flat on his ass.

Luckily for him he wore a pair of black designer jeans in the event he had to get dirty. He stood up and brushed himself off, skating into the scene as he heard Waverly shouting NO towards the purifiers. As the soundwaves resonated in the air Echo decided to pick up on their strong vibrations and condense the ones hitting empty air into lasers. The waves shifted on the spectrum creating dazzling beams of light that not only knocked out the weapons of five purifiers, but also melted them to that they couldn't be used anymore. He made a mental note to see about training the purple haired mutant, they may have had more in common than the recent deaths of a loved one it seemed. Veil seemed to be doing her best at sheilding the team while Waverly and Sapphire helped to get this girl out of thr situation. He watched in horror as she murdered a few purifiers and saw their trained guns.
"Shine, step into the light
Shine, so bright sometimes
Shine, I'm not ever going back"

Echo began to sing as he used his own voice as a tool to fight back. As the sound of his voice reached the purifiers it would once again condense and create dazzling beams to disarm another five brutes. He gave Waverly and Veil a wink as his finger remained pressed to his right ear and his singing continued.

Matthew tried to make sense of everything that was being said. He knew it made sense to minimilize contact with the others so that Maleficents gaze wouldn't be thryst upon any of the children, but if that was thr case had no one been keeping their eye on the msitress of evil to see that she was moving faster than had been previously anticipated? Something didn't quite add up to him and he felt as if there was a potential traitor amongst them, someone leaking information to her without the others notice. Matthews mind immediately went to her child. She couldn't be trusted and would clearly need to be watched as they moved forward, only question now was who she was.

Matthew's attention was snatched away as Merlin mentioned a weapons cache in the room. There was nothing magical or enchanted about them, just simple weapons for their use into Arcadia. One that Matthew would gladly accept. He went to go inspect them went he felt the slightest resistance. His heel had barely left the ground when he realized that Colby hadn't removed his hand yet. His heart began to race as he settled back into place, feeling the warmth in his ears as the blood rushed to his cheeks and head. He was glad that Colby seemed not to mind, it helped with his running theory that the two might be of the same mindset in terms of emotions. He ran his thumb over his, showing Colby he was there for him both physically and emotionally.

Max felt the van stop as his body jostled slightly. A slight groan of protest escaping him as he readjusted himself. He reached up towards his ears as he felt the stickiness of old blood begin to thicken before crusting over the dried portions. He sat up slowly, dropping some of his weight onto James, feeling bad for using him, but also thanking his stars that it appeared he wasn't infected even with the days worth of healing he was admistering to everyone. His brain felt muddled and it became hard to focus on what was being said around him, words failing to form in his mouth as his tongue lazily attempted to form them. "I'm'n...I'm'n." He cleared his throat, the taste of iron splashing on his tongue as he did. He didn't like the idea of Sunshine being their main line of defense against an attack. Max wouldn't use his powers so close to people in this condition. They had been proving to be unreliable and spotty since he became infected. The last thing mutants needed was another disaster headline if they went awry.

Max chuckled at Caspers anecdote, pointing lazily as his bum as he walked off. "Hey Casper, how big was the soldier?" He managed to snort out in a slur that was almost incomprehensible. He had his arm wrapped around James, using his free hand to nudge him in a playful manner. His stomach began to churn, a pain he knew all too well as a sign that he may be vomiting soon, though as to when it would happen was anyone's guess. Once he was sat in the chair, Max turned and faced Casper for a moment. Allowing his eyes to focus. "Hey Casp...Ca...Caspian? Prince Caspian heh that's funny. If I die, will you keep me company and talk to me?" He quickly turned away to cough into his arm, blood splattering on his shirt before he leaned back to wait and relax.

Echo was sitting to the left of his twin, listening intently as the two doctors grabbed away on stage. He knew why they were there but couldn't help but wonder if they could've just saved everyone the time and came after the lecture had ended. Once the conversation turned to M-Pox however, he leaned forward in his chair almost mirroring his twin. It appeared that Dr. Hansen believed that some test drug known as Extremis was the answer. A cure all to any problem, and by their words, a cure to the X-gene. Echo tensed his hand, his leg shaking nervously at the turn in the discussions. "Can you believe Hansen? A cure for the X-gene? We aren't a disease and we don't need to be cured. Sure as hell don't need to have it forced upon us in the city water supply. If Hansen's super drug really can cure anything, then perhaps it can cure the racist bigots outside who believe we are a plague." He spoke in hushed tones so only those near him could hear.

The alarms began to blare, as if perhaps the good doctor was hiding something. Either that or it was a perfect coincidence. Echo looked around at Veil and the others, watching a depressingly dressed emo kid make for the exit like a sane person would. Harry thought to use the Soundwaves of the alarms to help locate the fire or hazard around them. But there was so many sources, bodies, and noise that the chances of him seeing anything would be difficult. He got up out of his seat and held the exit door open for others to follow out as he looked towards Veil. "Whats the plan here sis? We don't exactly have a way to locate the fire, and it'll be hard to put it out with all these people stampeding to safety." Sapphire still seemed to be up with her friend conversing, even with all the alarms sounding around them.

Demetri nodded along as they answered his questions. It was nice to know he could at least try to make friends with some Romans. After all, building a bridge could serve to boon both parties if future doomsdays were to occur. He was full glad to see he hit it spot on with the toga, cocking his head slightly as Leda mentioned something about quaking at the sun. Demetri rolled his eyes at her as he crossed his arms "Ha ha. Very funny. I'm not that daft, just making sure we're all polite and following customs if we really are in dire straights with them." He gave the girl a reverse peace sign as she walked away. Looking over to the other two in the room now and seeing that hed be stuck with them for a while.

"Welp, I suppose out of the gingers on this ship I could do worse. Don't need a kid of Ares throwing a tantrum inside a control room ya know?" Demetri wore a warm smile towards the pair, having it slowly fade as his eyes drifted towards the floor. He was worried about the other three, how they were doing, and if they were even alive. It was nerve wracking having absolutely no information about the ones risking their lives while they play sky pirate's and embassadors. "Hey...you think they're alright? Kristin, Zeke, and the new girl? I know they're Demi-gods and all but...shes blind, Zekes reckless, and I'm sure Kristin's pulling her hairs out by now. Is there any chance to you know...Iris message them or something? Make sure they're fine? They are our Siblings and Cousins after all."

Apollo sat and listened as Dumbledore and the others gave their speeches. Catching glances at his brother and noting that he was much more chuffed than he had previously been. The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher was a sight yk behold. Regalness pouring over her with every movement she made, and every word spoken. This term it appeared they would learn wandless magic, a talent that would no doubt come in handy both in the far future of being a curse breaker, as well as the immediate future of dealing with the Basiliks. To say he was ecstatic was an understatement. His smile faded as she insulted the food, calling it flavorless. It may not be to her liking, but even she should be ale to see how extravagant meals such as these are more than enough for students barely scraping by at home. His parents had sunk quite a bit of money into this career path and the meals at home were by far no where near in comparison to Hogwarts.

As he loaded his plate with meat pies, bangers, and mash, he noticed his brother’s eyeline following something just before they linked up and spoke. Apparently Merula was already up to her antics being a real Betty. He shifted his gaze to follow her, delving into her thoughts to find out what got her knickers so twisted. He could hear her complaining about the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, having an issue to do with her ethnicity, as well as a fellow Slytherin girl who seemed to be pestering her for both race and speaking up. It was enough to put anyone off their meal. There was a wonder as to why she wasn't picked for Dumbledores new class, and quite frankly it was ironically obvious as she tyraded across the dining table and away from her 'assailants'. "Womans mental i tell ya! Apparently she has an issue with the new teacher being someone of colour, and she wonders why Dumbledore didn't chose her. Ask me shes buggin' but maybe that's something a cheeky little hex can solve. Whaddya say? Think Mary and the teachers would find out?"

Salem rolled his eyes at Victor’s comment. He was as calm as anyone could be in a forest with a murderer as their partner, magics surrounding them, and time ticking them closer to potential failure. He let out a long controlled breath before speaking. "I've already searched for anything out of the ordinary, it’s how I found the prints and came to my conclusion. But so long as we're on the same page about this lantern starting the test…" Salem placed the lantern in its spot, watching the magic begin to take form and reveal the test that stood before him.

They stood in a clearing, Salem taking in the scenery to see what he could use to his advantage when met with their assailants. A cabin stood in the distance, unrecognizable to him save for the man before it under the light. Lord Pieron Astorio. His reputation preceded him, and his stature alone was an imitating wall of suppressed aggression and savagery. He saw the mage and what he could only assume was a vampire before them, faces hidden behind theatre masks. Salem may of been naive to a few things, but he wasn't stupid enough to take on thr Astorio, opting instead to focus on the mage.

He stood there as he watched his prey, battered and malnourished, hardly a fight of that was any indicator. However a mage was still a powerful asset and one that needed to be eliminated quickly. He wasted no time, kicking up the glaive into his hand and silently running headlong towards the mage. The spear was tucked under his left arm, held in place as his right began to glow and the grass surrounding the mages feet grew and twisted around their feet and ankles making it harder to dodge.

Salem grabbed the glaive with his right hand, digging the pommel into the ground and lifting himself into the air as he launched towards the mage, going in for a swift kick to the mask in an attempt to break it. He'd have to thank Victor later for all the lessons and exercises working on his core, making it easier for him to engage in battle for this trial.

Both the vampire and the mage watched Salem’s antics. The frowning faced opponent brought its wand up, the tip lighting a faint green and purple, and whipped it around in a tight circle above its head before bringing it down vertically as Salem launched himself. However, the frowning face made no move to handle the impatient mage as the smiling face caught the brunt of the attack with the flat of his sword and twisted around the frowning face, letting Salem’s own momentum continue carrying him past the pair. The mage made a quick motion and the grass root system burst out of the ground and wove itself tightly around Salem’s glaive.

Salem let out a deep breath as he landed past the pair. They were working in perfect unison it seemed, the mage having hardly flinched as he knew his vampire would defend him as he cast. He watched the pair intently, knowing full well that he and Victor were not at that level yet. He left arm began to glow as Salem slowly lowered it, palm down, releasing his glaive from the ensnarement. A plant mage, he'd have to study carefully in order to use his own magic against them.

Apollo yelped as his twin brother forcibly pushed him out of thr room. He really wanted to witness his memory again, see if he could pour over some tomes and learn of there was any tie between what he'd experienced on the train and this new group The Basiliks Guild that Dumbledore wanted them to look into. He'd heard thr mention of Chimera, and that was enough of a lead to see if later tonight Apollo could get into a bit of trouble and break out that disillusionment charm. If there was going to be any information to be found, it would be in the restricted section of the library. Perhaps a book on old dark 2izards, or ancient cults revolving around the mythical beast, or rituals that may invoke its name. There were a lot of unknowns that he would need to figure out. Until then, he was beinf promptly shoved by his loving brother out the door and towards Ravenclaw tower. "Awright Awright. Don't get your knickers in a bunch. Watch that arm of yours and I'll make my way to the tower to get ready for the feast."

As Apollo approached the doorway to his dormitory, he was met with a very familiar door. It was wooden and plain with handle save for the bronze eagle knocker on the door. "Here we go." He took a step forward and the bromze figure came to life, asking its riddle. I have cities, but no houses; mountains, but no trees; water, but no fish. What am I? He stood there silentlynfor a moment, knowing he only had one chance as solving this riddle. "C'mon Harrington you've got this." He cleared his throat before finally speaking again. "Its a map. The answer is map." The eagle rested and the door swung open, allowimg him to step inside. He paid no mind to the others, going straight towards his portion of the room and unpacking his suitcase to pull out his school uniform as well as his robes.

He held them up into the air, inspecting his robes to make sure all the patches and colors stayed on, having a more eccentric look rather than the plain black with blue lining. He folded them and placed it on his bed as he carefully pulled out some new records and began to play 'Come on Eileen' to liven the room and give him a bit of juice as he unpacked. His crystals were all meticulously placed on his nightstand, crystal ball in the center with a blue and bronze cloth draped over it. He continued on, dancing along as he placrd his belongings about, stopping when his hands hit his deck of cards. He called back on the three he'd pulled that morning, and felt the dread creeping in, the chorus of Dexy's song distracting him long enough to pull him from wallowing too deep. Getting changed to the beat of the song and awaiting the feast.
