Maddie eyed at the hole left behind by the demonic rabbit. His gaze looked slowly back up towards Colby as he wondered why they ran from it if it was just an illusion. Matthew hadn't cared about whether or not it was supposed to be real, the look in its eyes was real enough to send a pang of fear through his body. He shuddered slightly as he thought about it again, finally relaxing a bit as he moved away from the door, eyeing the hole wearily before standing over by Colby.
"You didn't see the looks in its eye Colbs. It had murder on its mind and I was about to stick around to see if it could or couldn't go through with it."

Maddie was beginning to wonder if perhaps his heritage was mixing poorly with another story's magic. Or perhaps at the very least people from Wonderland were more unpredictable or wild when it came to magic. Having unknown side effects to common spells that may cause them to go awry or more mad. But as Colby asked to see the book, his hand outstretched to him, with that stupidly adorable face, Maddie couldn't help but say yes. A wickedly wide grin slowly spread across his face, rivaling that of a mischievous Ghibli character. "Let's go outside and test something out yeah?" Matthew ran back outside with excitement filling him, flipping through the pages looking for something that couldn't possibly go wrong in the event that people from Wonderland truly did have adverse reactions to magic.

It seemed as though things were beginning to wind up. Nancy opened the box, her jaw dropping at whatever was inside. Several people were expressing concern for her sudden want for privacy, and Cassian was eating it all up. Leaning forward on the table, but making sure his elbows were never placed on it, he ate his food slowly and watched with anticipation. Waiting to see it all go down in flames. His eyes glimmered, a mixture of purple and golden hues swirled in the irises of his eyes as he could practically feel his powers wishing to lurch out. He could hear a voice behind him, a small girl by the sounds of it, asking what Apollo was doing here.

Cassian raised one finger in the air towards the girl, not even looking in her direction, as if to say Sshhh my favorite part is about to happen. But it never came. Ezekiel stormed off towards his cabin, clearly having a bruised ego, Nancy walked away with her father, and everyone just kind of let it falter out. Cass's right eye twitched. This scene wasn't right, this wasn't how it should've ended. Annoyance ran through him as he ate another bit of food, poured some honeyed milk into his tea and tossed everything but the cup of tea into the offering for the gods. Cassian made his way towards Andy, having recalled seeing her near the lanky pale kid of Zeus.

"I was hoping he was here to stir up some trouble. Who knows, he very well may have but it's all offscreen now." Cassian answered with a shrug. "Apparently he had a gift for our lovely Roman friend over there, I'm sure the Apollo kids loved that. Other than that he mentioned he was in trouble with Zeus for a while, which Duh." He said as he pointed towards the sky. It was no secret the Big Three were fighting, and chances were gods would take the blame or join some sides. Cassian took a drink of his tea, eyeing Arthur and Andy, trying to figure out why they kept their distance instead of moving in closer to get the details.

Max gave a weak smile as Veil acknowledged an Agent that Sapphire had been talking about. For a moment it confused him, thinking about Sapphire liking anyone else besides Veil, Havok excluded he supposed, let alone some Agent that worked for S.H.E.I.L.D. He tried to imagine what it would be like for her to be in love, having previously thought that perhaps Veil was just an unrequited version of that that never moved past the best friend stage.

He figured it was a lot like what she had with Havok however, just insults and maybe some light hitting, but no real flirting. It was this train of thought that allowed Max to think further about Agent Flynn, when suddenly his eyes went wide at the realization he had just made. Agent Flynn was the Prince from WandaWorld. The selfsame Prince Max had tried flirting with in the alternate reality. He gave Sapphire a weird look, as if he couldn't believe that they liked the same guy. "I've actually met Agent Flynn before, I can contact him and tell him if you want." In truth he didn't care about helping her out, only about seeing him again.

As this all happened, Max couldn't shake the feeling someone was watching him. It was one of those weird sensations when you could tell someone was staring at you, even if you weren't looking at them, their eyes still bore holes into him. He didn't want to meet their gaze, afraid to see who it was until finally Sapphire disappeared and Max had to look to see if he was right. Unfortunately he was. Waverly had been giving him a strange look, but it lingered for what felt like hours until she finally decided to shift her gaze, in between that moment Max simply gave her a deadpan look as he spoke. "Do I have something on my face?"

Harry watched his twin closely as she took in what was happening. The emotions swirling about her face as she finally tried to land on one and figure out exactly how she felt about her best friend's death. He was about to cross his arms before his chest when suddenly Veil began to softly cry. Instinctively his hand reached out halfway, about to touch her and try to comfort her, when suddenly the crying was mixed in with laughter. Harry really hoped she hadn't cracked and just gone crazy from all the pressure and bad news.

But when she spoke he understood what had happened. It was something he'd seen before with his late fiancé. Sometimes, even in the harshest of times, one could find laughter to help lighten the load. Whether it was Harry forgetting to place a timer on the oven and making an accidentally blackened chicken. Or when she'd tried to bake him cupcakes and he came home to her on the ground crying with the kitchen so messy you'd have thought a bomb of frosting went off, and both times the other couldn't help but laugh and cause a reaction. Harry smiled at his sister as she turned to tell him about how obsessed Sapphire was with this agent. "I can't imagine" He said, shaking his head slightly with a bit of a chuckle.

Kwassi watched as T'Challa picked up one of the eggs to examine it. There was a natural inclination to trust his king, to believe that the Bkack Panther was capable of such care with the fragility of life that he would know the best way to inspect the alien egg in a manner that wouldn't hurt it. He watched carefully himself, noting the way the lights shone on the egg, seeing whether or not it could pass through, if it could show the process inside, and how far along they may be. He watched for any sign of movement, unsure as to how quickly they may hatch after having been laid. "Hardy eggs, that's good to know. I haven't had much experience with such things, with the exception of gator eggs when I was younger. I was taught that when they needed to be moved, they had to be careful picked up and placed exactly as they were on the ground into the bin. Turning them or shifting the position could lead to a death." He noted outloud as he studied the egg.

Kwassi's attention then turned towards Mar-Vell, an inquisitive look coloring his face. "Are you aware of how quickly they may hatch after being laid? Is there a period in which the parent must be with them? Are they left out to fend for themselves until they hatch?" Truly this was New territory, or at the very least for him, and he wished to know more. So many other creatures on Earth could lay eggs, and for each the parenting style and safety varied from species to species. Kwassi wondered as to which one Flerken may relate to more, if any at all. He was curious as to how they evolved to adapt a limitless stomach? What caused the need for it, and the tentacles as well. The whole species seemed odd to him, then again the concept was quite literally alien.

Maddie's eyes darted towards Colby as he asked him what had happened, and why he was so afraid of an illusion. Maddie wasn't exactly sure himself, but the rabbit's eyes had shot so much fear in him that he had forgotten about its properties. Could an illusion become reality? Or were they always some holographic projection that couldn't actually affect the real world? Before he could continue to consider the question, Colby pointed out that Red was still out there with the demonic ball of fluff. His pupils widened to the size of dinner plates as he began to realize the gravity of what he may have just done.

Matthew was about to turn and open the door, but as soon as he stepped away from the door, there began sounds of clawing and scraping. The wood began to break and splinter, causing Matthew to freeze in fear. He couldn't tell if it was his imagination or if the illusion was actually snarling in such an infernal matter he was sure it could summon a lovecraftian horror. But just as soon as it all started, it ended, Red opening the door and going to grab a drink as if this was simply another day. "I thought that was a simple spell. I...I d-d-didn't think that an illusion c-could become r-real! Besides, M-merlin isn't here so I'm on m-my own to learn."

Demetri watched in amazement as Lauryn simply cut the barrel open and had the liquid just spit right in. There was a dopey smile and childlike wonder in his eye, as if he'd just seen a pirate stab open a barrel of rum to have it pour him a pint. "Wicked" Demi went back to the matters at hand, pulling his attention away from the barrel and back towards Lauryn. "Sure thing, I'll see if I can get me mum to send em over. They're a good read with great art by an Ace artist. Been following them since they were just doing fanart and now they got deals up the wazoo with DC."

Demi continued to lean against the barrel, now resting his head onto his arms folded beneath his chin. "As for 'special features' if it's possible I'd like to have it be able to collapse. Be cool if it can go from a wristwatch to an acoustic guitar with a click of a button. Aside from that, just some cool designs, something along the lines of art like the old grecian vases where there were depictions of heros and what not. Think it's all possible?" When it came to things like this, Hephaestus cabin was the sure fire way to go. Demetri was convinced that they could make a pen into a 20 ton tank if they wanted too. Nothing was out of reach for their imagination, but he still liked to ask incase his head was too high into the clouds.

Cassian Rudenko

Cassian had a bit of a late start that day. Rolling over in his bed before finally opening an eye and seeing that his cabin mates were gone. He slid out of bed and grabbed his clothes, getting dressed in his soft attire, finishing off the look as he reached down and cuffed his pants ever so slightly above the ankle. He pinched his cheeks, letting them naturally rouge more than they usually did, and ran a hand through his curly brown hair to ensure none of it was frizzing out of place. He stared at his box of tea and contemplated making himself a pot, before finally deciding he could easily have one at the dining pavilion.

So Cassian slid on his white low cut converse, tapping his toes onto the cabin floor to ensure they were on all the way, before finally making it out the door. His sweater helped a little in the way of keeping him warm, though it was mainly a floridian sweater, thin and meant to be used in the sun for aesthetics more than practicality. His fingers ran across the metallic reeds of his pan flute as he walked towards the pavilion, deciding what it is that he should do today. All of that went out the window however as he slowed his steps, seeing the expensive sports car, and the scene that was unfurling before him.

Cassian hardly needed to hazard the guess, he could think of only one god that was a tool enough to have decided to appear like this. That and there was a massive spot on the ground now missing snow and who better to melt it than the sun god himself. He didn't want to meddle in whatever affair was happening, instead opting to grab two glasses and thinking of honeyed milk for one and a nice Earl Grey for the other. His food materialized before him, a lovely breakfast salad consisting of Greek yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, granola, and a drizzle of honey right on top.

Cassian arched a delicate brow as Apollo placed a present onto the table by one of the Roman girls. Eating his food slowly, almost artfully, as he continued to enjoy his new Soap. His hand fell absentmindedly onto his gift that Dionysus had given to him. One he'd learned to cherish everyday since having it. He took another bite of his food, turning his attention to Zeke, the camp asshole from what he'd been told, and wondered if he was just stupid enough to his a god in the face. He certainly didn't seem wise enough not to run his mouth, but then again it could be a familial thing.

At any rate, Cassian found his hand slowly moving his instrument off of his lap. Placing the celestial bronze onto the table with a small ping and drawing his attention towards them. He then realized the sudden itch that he had to play them. He didn't think that this scene needed any help, but just imagine how much better it could be with a little chaos. His lip curled into a devilish grin as he thought about it. After all his grandmother had started a war with a simple apple in the presence of the gods. How bad could a simple note do in a room full of demi-gods with Apollo right by, his children already irritated by his visit. But no, Dionysus would most likely disapprove of this love, especially when the Big Three were already fighting one another. And so Cassian remained there eating his food, tapping onto his flute with his free hand.

Max watched Waverly closely after her attack on Nemesis. His eyes slowly darting back and forth between her and Nemesis, to see how he would react towards the sudden assault. They occasionally glanced at the others who spoke, but only for a minute second before focusing back to his main two interests. He didn't know Nemesis, but with a name like that, he could very well be trusted to take the hit lightly. Almost as if to confirm all of Max's suspicions, the good doctor began to laugh a maniacal laugh. It practically screamed villain, and if he wasn't then it was a very unfortunate laugh to have.

Max watched as Waverly flexed her hand, much the same way he did when he was feeling out his powers moments ago. He wondered if she would be going in for another hit, but then noticed the bruising forming on her hand. He figured if Nemesis' eye was robotic, then perhaps there was a metal casing surrounding it that Waverly had hit. Max didn't trust her not to punch him if he got too close, so from his distance he decided to try and do something he hadn't done in months.

Max curled his fingers as if he was holding an invisible wine glass, and then turned his hand and extended it towards Waves. His magic flowed from the palm of his hand, towards his fingertips, and finally it glided through the air and surrounded Waverlys hand, settling down on the bruised patches and beginning to heal her until it was all gone and the pain was nothing more than a phantom. He stared at his hand once more, almost afraid at how easy this had all been so far. A knot forming in his throat.

Before Max could think anymore of it, Sapphire had appeared, and was back to her usual self. Well with a more spectral self than usual but her attitude had hardly changed. Veil was clearly broken over the news, Javon following suit. One by one members began to thank Sapphire or express their sorrow for her passing in one way or another. The knot in Max's throat only grew larger and tighter and for a moment he thought he felt sorrow. But instantly he realized what the emotion was…guilt. Not for surviving, but because he didn't feel anything about Sapphires passing. He wasn't as sad as everyone else was, even Kristina, someone who recently joined, had more nice things to say than Max could think of. Casper was the only one who seemed to want to brush it all off, and Max was with him on that front. Sapphire did what anyone in the Underground would've done if they had the chance, and he wasn't going to feel bad about it.

Sapphire had pointed out the issue with having frozen Jack, and Max began to wonder about that as well now. There were so many things that had changed with that man in such a short span of time that Max was getting worried all over again about the incident with Sunshine. He looked over towards her and wondered if Jack had tried to do anything while everyone else was gone, he doubted James would let anything happen to her but the thought still clung to him.

Max only came back as Waverly brought up the missing possessions, something that Max hadn't fully considered with all the new information that was being thrown their way. He worried about two items in particular that he hadn't wanted anyone to see. The black book that Dr. Strange had given him, and the spellbook he had found on Magneto's Island. "I would also like to know where our stuff is."

Harry held onto his sister as long as he could. Frustrated at how some of the others were acting and wondering how some of them could be so callous. He didn't care for everyone who practically cheered Waverly on for hitting someone, as if violence was anything to be rewarded when others were grieving. He knew that everyone showed grief in their own ways, and if Waverlys was violence then that was one thing, but for others to publicly applaud her while his sister was breaking down before him and had asked for a simple temporary truce? It made his stomach churn.

Harry looked up at Casper as he began to glow blue, something he'd only seen him do a few times before when summoning Ben. He wasn't sure if now was the time or place for his sassy gay ghost friend, but if there was one thing Harry learned it was the impossibility to stop Casper unless you were a sweet caring man named James. When Sapphire appeared his heart almost stopped. The melody he was humming was caught in his throat as he looked on and wondered how Veil would react to this. On one hand Harry was glad she could get closer, on the other he worried it could create a decency on Casper to see her more often.

Harry let go of his sister slowly, allowing her to move forward if she needed to, to hug his sister's friends spectral form if that's what she needed to close this chapter in her life. He was glad to see she didn't seem to mind her death too much, happy that she was telling others to move on from the grief. It was one thing to hear it from family, it was all another to hear it from the one who had passed away. Harry gave Veil a nod, as if telling her it'll be OK and that he'd be here for her when she's ready, and with that he let her go completely.

The yowling took Kwassi completely by surprise as he squatted before her. He didn't know if he had done something wrong, or triggered some sort of parental panic, the sound and shock causing him to fall back onto the floor and stare at the scene before him. Mar-Vell had mentioned they were pregnant, but Kwassi hadn't expected one to start laying eggs while he was face to face with them. He looked back towards where they came from, hoping the clerk was too preoccupied with the children to hear the sound the flerken was making. His attention moved towards Oli as he began to come up with a solid plan. "I believe speeding them back is our best option right now but..." Kwassi trailed off as he looked at the few eggs that had already come out, turning to face Mar-Vell, their resident expert on alien cats.

"How delicate are these eggs? Do they need to remain in the position their laid? Or can they be moved and placed in others pockets so that we can bring them back to Bartons and reunite them with their mother?" This wasn't exactly the kind of work that Kwassi had expected when he signed up for S.H.E.I.L.D. Sure he anticipated some alien things here and there, but the live birth of an alien race of cats in some middle of nowhere town with horrid sense in naming conventions? Thst wasn't exactly on his bingo card. Still, he got up waiting for instructions on how to proceed.
