Miyu grinned thoughtfully at Aiden's joke about ghost girlfriends. "That actually sounds like a good idea, but instead of just girlfriends I'd love to have a nice ghostly maid team." A quick glance at Artemis' face that clearly spelled disbelief and anger, only to make him returned her with an evil smirk, amused that the Gryffindor girl actually took his words too seriously.

He pushed away his finished fourth butterbeer and reached out for the fifth one while watching Noelle sending a bottle cork flying towards the trainee Healer at the jibe of a tarantula farm at the pure-blood witch's mansion. Miyu couldn't help but chipped in with, "Oh, and I wonder if she also rides on those huge tarantula she has bred with all her heart. Tarantula racing sounds kinda fun." He wouldn't be surprised if the Ravenclaw sent a flying cork in his way too just like with Aiden.

When Aiden suggested about a flying get-together since this was the first time they met each other after graduating from Hogwarts, Miyu had expected Artemis to protest because of her phobia with heights, but Noelle declined also. "On second thought, I don't feel like it. I need to go to Gringotts."

"Gringotts for me too. Besides, I don't have my broomstick with me now. I came here by the Underground."

Artemis raised her eyebrows. "Hey, I took the Underground here also. How come I didn't see you?"

Miyu let out a sigh and patted the top of the Gryffindor's head. "How do you expect to find someone in an overcrowded train on a weekend?" He dodged swiftly when Artemis raised her hand to give him a hard smack.

"You!"

~ ARTEMIS ~

Artemis forced the rest of her butterbeer down her throat before she slammed down the empty bottle on the wooden table and glowered at former Hufflepuff. She could still keep her fear in check if it was just a few feet above the ground, but that wouldn't be fun for the other three seasoned fliers, especially those two energetic boys.

She could still vividly remember how Miyu actually saved her in their first year from falling to her death when she was bullied by two of her enemies from Slytherin during one of their flying class, but the memories of all the naughty tricks that he had played on her throughout her Hogwarts life far surpassed the little graditude she had for him. She had felt a little smug when she heard that Moaning Myrtle was quite fond of him and Aiden's joke about the possibility of him getting ghostly girlfriends, though now when she thought of it that guy probably also used Myrtle for his pranks as much as he had used Peeves, and she felt a little sorry for the poor, moaning ghost girl.

She was glad that Noelle turned Aiden's offer down and suggested that they should be going to Gringotts - all of them had already finished their drinks, and Miyu in particular had five empty bottles before him. (That jerk, she thought darkly.)

After they paid for their bills (and she felt annoyed again when she saw that Miyu was making Aiden to pay for him), the foursome went to the back of the Leaky Cauldron where the stone brick wall that would lead to Diagon Alley. Artemis did the honor of tapping the bricks before the wall shifted and revealed the archway to the busy magical street.

The Gryffindor girl noticed that the blond witch seemed to be getting increasingly nervous as they were moving closer and closer to the wizarding bank at the end of the road. She wasn't sure what the usually cool and composed Noelle was afraid about in Gringotts, but she grabbed the Ravenclaw girl's free hand and squeezed reassuringly.

~ MIYU ~

Miyu had been eyeing at how oddly close Artemis and Noelle were - he knew very well that those two weren't exactly the best of friends, more like friendly rivals - but it didn't take him long to put the clues together. As the entrance to Gringotts came into clear view, he left Aiden to take the lead while he shuffled next to the former Ravenclaw.

"Say, are you actually scared of goblins?"
~ ARTEMIS ~

Artemis' recollection of her two former schoolmates were as colorful as Noelle's rainbow-dyed hair that she remembered from their final year at Hogwarts. The dark and brooding Ravenclaw bookworm was her greatest rival - not just in terms of academics, but she actually looked up to Noelle in secret. Noelle seemed perfect in almost everything: grades, Quidditch, appearance and her mannerism. She had all that Artemis strived for, but there was one aspect that made the Gryffindor reluctant towards Noelle: she was into the use of Dark Magic, something that Artemis detested.

On the other hand, she wasn't fond of Aiden at first. She always felt a tinge of suspicion when he was being overly friendly towards her - she felt wary whenever he was around, sometimes even wondered if he was a stalker (she had an uneasy feeling that he was by her side all the time). It took her quite some time to finally acknowledge that he was a genuinely nice person. A small sense of guilt rose in her chest, from the occasions she remembered her throwing tempers at him.

As for the Slytherin hypocrite Miyu...

To her, he was literally her living nightmare: not once was she spared from the misery of being his constant prank target, which was worse when Peeves became his greatest worshipper. He might be an innocent-looking guy with a cute face that didn't seem to have aged at all, but after seven years she couldn't miss the cunning sparkle in his seductive dark eyes. If she had to compare him with Aiden... Well, Aiden didn't seem to be quite truthful with himself and would sometimes respond in ways to just to please people, but Miyu was a complete mystery to her - she could never tell when he was actually serious or simply a cheery sadist through and through.

She noticed that Noelle stiffened at the sight of Miyu - she wouldn't be surprised that he probably also had tricked her too many times to count. She felt a pang of sympathy towards the Ravenclaw girl.

"It's been so long, Artemis. How're you doing?"

"I'm good," she replied coolly. She raised an eyebrow at the remnants of multicolors still left among the mass of gold in Noelle's hair. "Still can't get those off?" She shot Miyu a stern glare and then ignored him just like the Ravenclaw did, turning her attention to Aiden instead.

"Are you still afraid of heights?"

Aiden's casual but unexpected question towards her made Artemis choked on her butterbeer. "I-It's none of your business!"

~ MIYU ~

Miyu helped himself to another round of free butterbeer - well, since it was ordered and would be paid by the blue-robed wizard anyway - while he plastered on his trademark grin on his face to welcome the Healer and the blond witch. If it wasn't for Artemis, he could barely recall their names (he could only remember faces - remembering names was too much trouble for him). He didn't react when Noelle slammed her heavy volumes on the table forcefully, missing his arm by inches; however, he had to swallow down the urge to burst out laughing at the title on the book cover. Any normal person who saw it would question Noelle's sanity, and Aiden's expression when he bumped into her had already proven that.

Spotting the few strands of rainbow-colored ones in the Ravenclaw girl's hair, Miyu couldn't help but feel smug about it: he had nicked a few phials of Rainbow Potion that Artemis was experimenting on and jinxed them with a weak Permanent-Sticking Charm. He then dropped a hint to Peeves and the poltergeist actually did the setup - it just so happened that Noelle was the one who walked right into the trap. He secretly liked Noelle with multicolored highlights among her gold, and he didn't feel sorry at all when Peeves dropped the balloons filled with the paint-like potion on her while cackling "wee Rainbowclaw" down the corridor.

Artemis was pretty much the complete opposite of Noelle: while the Ravenclaw was rather stoical and would usually just issue him an icy death threat, the Gryffindor would waste no time to give him a piece of her mind and chase him to the ends of the school corridors for a burning payback. It only added more entertainment to Miyu's remaining school life when Artemis became a Prefect in their fifth year - she was so fired up to catch him in his joke acts red-handed to make sure he would get the punishment he so deserved, but he was too sly for that and would send her running around in circles with his shikigami dolls.

Unlike the love-hate relationship he had with the two girls (he was well aware that he himself was the main cause of all the drama but he just couldn't resist getting amusing reactions from them), he was on rather friendly terms with the Hufflepuff, Aiden. Miyu found him a bit of a bore sometimes but pretty easy to get along with. They didn't share a lot of classes together, but on the Quidditch field the half-British half-Korean was a formidable opponent - he was the only Beater who was close to throwing Miyu off his broom, and Miyu did pride himself as the fastest flier of their time. The horrible incident that happened in the Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw match in their sixth year nearly killed Aiden and Quidditch was suspended for the rest of that year, but luckily he managed to recover fully. However, that did not deter the students from joining the tryouts to be on the house team - in fact, for the Slytherin tryout, the crowd was probably the worst that Miyu had ever encountered. He even had to resort to setting off the flash-bang fireworks that he modified from one of the joke stuffs he got from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes to disperse the mob of angry students who weren't picked for the team, but not without throwing in some fire-breathing dragon puppets to singe their hair for a bit of personal entertainment.

"You haven't changed much, Kisaragi. How's life without Peeves to do your dirty work?"

"Boring, of course. I kinda miss that dude," Miyu laughed in response. "But I don't want to go back to face Moaning Myrtle again. I swear she has hots for me." He let out an exaggerated sigh at the thought of dating a ghost girl. When Aiden asked Artemis about her acrophobia, he raised his eyebrows at her flustered reaction. He could vaguely remember the time the Slytherins had flying lessons with the Gryffindors and Artemis refused to get anywhere near the brooms, jabbing her wand at anyone who tried to taunt her about it. Two girls from his house grabbed her both sides and lifted her off the ground when the teacher wasn't looking; Miyu was the only nearest one to save her from getting broken limbs later.

That was probably the first interaction he ever had with Artemis.
~ ARTEMIS ~

The streets of London was as busy as ever - it took almost all of Artemis' willpower not to make a scene in public as she tried to squeeze herself through throngs of people but only to receive angry glares from them. She bit her lower lip with growing irritation - it was stupid of her to come here on a weekend where the road would be filled with muggle shoppers. She wouldn't even bother to come all the way here if it wasn't for the fact that she was running out of pocket money and still hadn't get a job to really get settled down with her life yet. The thought of her nagging parents' voice in her head only made her more annoyed than she already was.

After numerous shoulder-knocking, foot-trodden and umbrella-scrapping moments, she was very glad to have finally arrived at the front door of Leaky Cauldron and began to fill her lungs with some fresh rain-scented air, while the muggle jam behind her continued to inch forward, completely oblivious to the small, grimy-looking pub wedged between a big bookstore and a record label shop.

She could still remember the first time she came here with her mother, and the kind barman showed them to the wall that would reveal an archway, the entrance to Diagon Alley (not to mention how her mother's eyes were so close to literally popping out of their sockets while trying to digest the magical world that was probably beyond what her muggle mind could comprehend). The interior was very much the same as what she had seen in her first visit: a dimly-lit and shabby-looking place but this time with it was rather packed and livelier than usual. She quickly ducked down as a barn owl swooped dangerously low and almost hit her straight in the face. She shuddered at the thought of having to spit out a mouthful of feathers later.

However, one of the seated customers caught her eye - there was no way she could ever forget about that person. The one who gave her a lot of headache back during their Hogwarts days. One of the greatest troublemakers in Hogwarts history after James Potter and Sirius Black duo, and also the Weasley twins. Him.

Miyu.

She moved towards his table and sat down opposite of him; the Asian boy looked up from his butterbeer and seemed pleasantly surprised to see her. "Oh, hey---"

"What brings you here?"

~ MIYU ~

The butterbeer in Leaky Cauldron wasn't as tasty as the one in Three Broomsticks, but to Miyu, who hadn't drink it ever since he graduated from Hogwarts and was forced to help out in his parents' cafe day in and out for months, it was good enough to remind him that he was still a wizard and not a muggle slave of his family business. He wanted to try a firewhiskey, but the barman, Tom, was pretty reluctant about it - Miyu's babyface feature would put him in a difficult position if people around started to question why a seemingly-underaged boy was sipping on alcohol.

His thoughts then drifted to the huge pile of gold in his Gringotts vault - not even his parents knew how much he had inside, the money he won (or rather, blackmailed) in bets during his Hogwarts days. He had no need for so much gold - he had decided that he would probably donate most of them off to the Hogwarts Needy Fund anonymously.

He raised his head in time to see a very familiar face before him - he would never mistake that cute angry look for someone else. He smirked inwardly at the number of times he sent her chasing after him around the corridors for all sorts of pranks he had played on her. He enjoyed watching the blur of changing expressions on her face, which was every bit as interesting as her fiery temper.

"Oh, hey---"

"What brings you here?" It was just so like Artemis to cut off him abruptly and with such fierceness. He shrugged. "Nothing. I'm just taking a break from my family. What about y--- Whoa, look who else are here."

~ ARTEMIS ~

Artemis turned around in time to see a blond witch tumbling out of the green flame in the fireplace who bumped into a wizard in light blue robes and sending the heavy volumes in her arms spilling on the dirt floor. She watched as the witch hurriedly snatched the book off the ground and giving eye daggers at the guy, whose facial expression suggested that he had a personal opinion about her reading choice.

She then returned her attention back to Miyu. "What about them?" Then it suddenly dawned upon her. Her memories from her days at Hogwarts came flooding into her mind.

"Noelle from Ravenclaw? And Aiden from Hufflepuff?" She said their names out loud, earning an amused look from Miyu. "What, you actually remembered their names?"

Can wizards and witches continue to coexist with non-magical humans? Or will this balance be broken just like the witch-hunt back in the old times, but much much worse?

The story will revolve around four seemingly unrelated Hogwarts graduates - each from one of the Houses - who will eventually set aside their fears and differences, and unite together to fight to the ultimate end...
