Jocelyn is one of the sweetest, most gentle girls one could ever meet. At first, she's very shy, quiet and reserved. Once you dig deeper, however, you find an outgoing, friendly and fun girl whose loyal to you until the very end. She always sees the good in everyone and everything, and tries her hardest to make those around her happy. She's excellent at listening and giving advice even when she hasn't faced the situation first-hand. Apart from all the qualities mentioned above, Josie has a very caring nature that makes her perfect for her babysitting job, which she does with incredible pride. Jocelyn Jade Thompson was born on February 18 of 1996; the third child of businessman Henry Thompson and nurse Judith Thompson. She grew up in a high-middle class neighborhood in the outskirts of a small New Jersey town around her twin brothers Jonathan and James. The three shared incredible times together, and grew up to be inseparable. Eventually, Henry and Judith added little Julia to the family when Josie was 4, and she was over the moon about having a sister to play with. And to finalize the family, Julius made his entrance to the world when Josie was 6. All was well in the family until Jocelyn started high school. Henry, who spent a fair time away from his family because of his line of work, began to slowly start drifting away from them. This caused many arguments throughout the years, until by the time Jocelyn was in her sophomore year they had separated and were working on getting divorced. This caused Jocelyn to become very sad, seeing as she hadn't wanted things between them to end like this. Of course, it didn't take long for her to realize that sometimes things work better apart than together, and she eventually accepted the news.
A month after finishing her sophomore year of high school, Henry and Judith's divorce had been finalized. Henry was moving to Toronto, where he'd gotten an excellent job position, and Judith was left with custody of all five siblings. As a parting gift to his children, Henry gave them the
small California beach house in which they used to spend their holidays in. Since they couldn't afford to live in their old place due to Judith not having enough income on her own, they were forced to relocate from New Jersey to California during the summer before Jocelyn's junior year. Judith quickly found a job in the local hospital, and the twins did the same. Jocelyn took onto babysitting to help her family and be able to look after her younger siblings while her mother works. This was a big change for the Thompsons, but they managed to quickly adapt to these changes like troopers.
This bumps on the road only made the Thompson kids stronger and more thankful for everything they have. James and Jonathan are super protective of their first baby sister, and Jocelyn's the same regarding all of them. She also looks up to her mother for her hard work and all the love she continues to give them even after these difficult times. She has no hard feelings towards her father, and keeps constant communication with him. After all, she's his first little girl.
