Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

The Immature and Explosive Mage Girl Looking to Make the Most of This

"... Just don't go knocking me around too much. Hmph," replied Miyu, leaving herself seated on the large man's shoulder. He... sounded hispanic. Miyu wasn't exactly familiar with people from that far west, but the language he kept dipping into sounded like it at least. It was all she could guess. However, when he sudden;y lept into the air, and then did it several more times, she let out a panicked yelp and latched onto anything she could grab to keep from falling. That was even more scary! It wasn't long, at least, until they safely came to rest on a rooftop. At the very least, he had a point. They looked like they were far out of reach of anything nasty.

The winged man... a tengu? He seemed like a tengu, soon reappeared. Miyu folded her arms as she looked him over quickly. He didn't look like a pervert, at least. "... You'll still have to get me some candy to make up for grabbing me like some airborne pervert.

She wasn't going to pass up the chance to get some candy, even if he didn't fit the bill for some really creepy guy or something. Miyu looked away and frowned as she glanced off the side of the building for a moment.

"I didn't even get to enjoy this..." she continued, her cheeks puffing up in a pout, "Hmph, I'll just have to get more candy, then..."

Part of her hoped most of the people below got out okay, but it wasn't as if she was in the position to do anything to help, was it? It wasn't. She didn't exactly know how to use any of those things she'd tried to put in her character sheet or... whatever. So hope was all she could do.

"... I'm Miyu," she added, introducing herself, "... And you're definitely not much of a guardian angel or whatever, just swooping out of no where and scaring a little girl in an already pretty scary situation."

She let out an exaggerated sigh, "You might have saved me, but that didn't make it any less scary. Hmm... double the candy once we get out of here sounds fair, doesn't it? Fufufu~"
Miyu has never piggybacked on a luchador before. This place is full of new experiences.
Throughout the interrogation, Torako watched. She didn't say anything, not a single thing, nor did she display the slightest reaction to any of the motions that Liu went through. She was simply dead silent as it occurred. She waited until the end, until he had suffered profuse injury. His legs, as Liu had stated, were now useless. Torako approached the bleeding bandit in silence, placing one hand on the hilt of her blade. Indeed, the tigers would be on him quickly, wouldn't they?

And he was a bandit, someone who robbed and murdered others for his own gain.

Taketori flashed in an instant. The bandit was surely in pain, but there wouldn't be any pain. It happened far too fast for there to even be any comprehension of what had occurred in that instant. Torako solemnly flicked her blade clean, as the bandit's head fell to the side with a thud. Her eyes drifted to Liu, and locked on the injured fighter. For a few tense moments, she simply stared at him in silence.

"... I never want to see that again."

With that, she sheathed her katana, and quietly looked away.

Torako was half intending on simply walking away, and dealing with the bandits herself.
"I killed one of the bandits," Torako replied, simply, one hand remaining on Taketori's hilt. Her eyes traveled quickly to Liu's injury. She had not attempted to tend to it largely because the preservation of the lives of others, at least when it came to medicine, was not her area of expertise. In fact, her skillset lent itself to quite the opposite far more readily. Instead, she remained silent. The only thing she could suggest was that Liu quickly receive some form of medical treatment, but it wasn't as if he didn't already know that. Quite simply, it would be redundant for her to do such a thing.

Instead, Torako turned to the bandit and stared, her eyes fixing on him. She wouldn't say anything to him. She felt that she would do poorly attempting an interrogation herself. Instead, she simply watched his every movement. Every single tiny motion. After all, if he attempted to flee in any way, her response would have to be quick.

Hmph. This jacket was really nice, but it was making her lag a lot! The big crowd of panicky people was way too close for comfort... And they probably wouldn't notice her... This was getting a bit more scary, so Miyu tried to look for a path she could break off into to run off to the side. At least, until someone suddenly scooped her up and into the air out of no-where. For a few moments, the rather tiny, young-looking girl was stunned, even letting out a small yelp of surprise as she was abruptly lifted off the ground. It was hardly something she was used to, and after a few moments the tiny blonde began to squirm.

"H-hey! The only people who grab little girls like this a-are perverts!" Miyu cried, trying to get a good look over her shoulder at the one who'd picked her up. All the same, it did seem like she was getting away from the crowds a bit faster like this, but... that didn't change that suddenly being grabbed as just plain weird, even as she was transferred to another man's shoulder, legs still kicking. Even his explanation, especially referring to it as an abduction, did little to make Miyu feel better about the situation.

... Well, not that she actually believed being a pervert was the reasoning behind this, but it sure seemed like it was the right thing to say right now!

Wouldn't have posted again but mentions don't go through without it. ^^;

Are you all still here and waiting? Want to confirm before I do anything else.
I don't like triple-posting, but anyone else? ^^;

I mean, I can start now, I suppose, but I really wanted to have a few more people.
So there's Mimori and Miyu introduced.
The Noble Swordswoman who does not Tolerate Evil

The grass felt soft on her skin. The girl with the dark, blue-ish hair slowly opened her eyes, blinking several times as she slunk up and back into her knees. For a few moments, all she could really perceive was that she was outside, and that there were people around her, who were similarly strewn about on the grass in a rather haphazard fashion. The last thing she remembered was... making her character? Like it was some kind of role-playing game or something... That's right. The man with the gun, she hadn't had a choice. She had to stop him no matter what. And then he'd shot her as she brought him down...

Mimori had died with the knowledge that she'd saved so many people. And yet... she hadn't really died, had she? Because she was here. Very much breathing and alive. ... In... in...

What was this embarrassing outfit?! Who... who would ever make her wear something like this?! She couldn't have woken up in something more respectable?!

It seemed like an odd thing to be concerned about after suddenly reviving from the dead in a completely new place(hadn't she been falling or something as well?) but the young woman's cheeks colored mildly in embarrassment as she looked down at herself. But after a few moments, she firmly shook her head. No, it wasn't the time to be worrying about that, now, was it? It absolutely wasn't. First she had to check on the well-being of the other people here.

Methodically, she went from each unconscious form, checking them for injuries. Satisfied that the seemed unharmed, she came to a stop near one and gently shook them.

"Are you okay? You haven't been harmed, have you?" she asked. Attempting to wake them seemed like the next logical step, after all.

But then she heard... a scream?!

Was someone in danger?!

One of the others had already awakened, and already guessed at the same outcome...! Unable to stop herself from pursuing(what if the girl was running into danger? And they had to help whoever else was in trouble...) Mimori followed the hooded girl.

... Well.

This was... new. There were people. And... things that looked like people but looked like someone had bolted animal bits onto them. A lot of them. It was some kind of big party, insofar as she could tell, where everyone was having a good time. The tiny blonde girl pushed up her oversized hat and peered deeper into the crowds. There sure was a lot of commotion, here. She was surrounded on all sides by a bunch of people and weird animal thingies. But it looked like a festival, didn't it...?

... Miyu's sweet tooth flared to life. Right after reviving, she'd been dropped into a festival! She didn't care how that worked, she just knew it meant candy. And eating candy for the first time in her new form would be great, wouldn't it?! Wouldn't it?! Of course it would be! Sporting a rather excited smile, her far too long coat dragging on the ground behind her, the girl shuffled forward... and promptly stopped when she heard a scream. Up until then she'd just be filled with a flurry of excitement, but then... that was not right. And now there was... people were definitely scared rather then excited.

Well.

"... Hmph, I'm not reviving just to be caught by some losers calling themselves something lame like that," Miyu commented. Oh, it was scary, but... 'The Wild Hunt'? Hmph! With that, the tiny girl turned tail and immediately broke into a highly unimpressive sprint.

It seemed she was about as athletic as you'd expect from a tiny, harmless-looking nine-year-old in oversized clothing.

  • Character Concept: The Noble Swordswoman Who does not Tolerate Evil
  • Name: Takahashi Mimori(A serious person, Mimori saw no need to change her name)
  • Gender: Female
  • Background: He'd injured her hand already. He was going to shoot innocent people. The only thing Mimori could do was dive for him, and try to use the training she'd received. It was only after she slammed his head into the concrete hard enough to knock him out cold until backup got there that she realized she had been shot in the chest, and that adrenaline was the only thing that had kept her going. She knew people had been trying to help her, but she slipped away too quickly for them to do anything. A former police officer for the Tokyo PD, Takahashi Mimori gave her life to stop a madman who had planned to spill innocent blood. She died with this knowledge, that her actions had saved lives, and yet, she did not find herself anywhere she expected. No, she received a new life instead. A serious and stern young woman, Mimori has a dedication to protecting the innocent at all costs. She is very polite and respectful towards others, and feels that in any life it is her duty to serve the common good. However, she is easily flustered(not at all happy with the outfit her new life has dropped her in, to say the least) and embarrassed. She is also quite adept at working out how to fight on the fly, such as how to utilize spells to increase the power of her weapon. Mimori loves food. A lot. Possibly a bit too much. Possibly far too much. Possibly more then literally anyone else who has recently went through this reincarnation process.
  • Level: 2
  • Class: Spellsword
  • Race: Human
  • Attribute: Finesse
  • Thaumaturgy:
    • Soul Blade: A blade formed of magical energy forms in Mimori's hands. It can only survive a few strikes before shattering, but is just as sharp as a real sword.
    • Impact Enhance: The striking power of Mimori's weapon becomes extreme, letting her pierce heavy armor with a single blow with a sturdy sword. This can only be applied to a physically existent weapon, and thus is useless with Soul Blade.
    • Burst Enhance: The impact of Mimori's weapon becomes mildly explosive, knocking foes struck with it back. Like Impact Enhance, it is useless with Soul Blade.
  • Equipment: Plain Broadsword
