Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@Slendy: Oh, I'm sorry, I missed your post.

You could, but I've been talking to someone already planning on something similar.
@Raineh Daze: Right, okays. Just need to figure out her backstory then.
Accepted.
  • Name: Tsubaki Koyomi
  • Age: 23
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "... D-don't just st-stare!"
  • Role: Mission Control Crew(Bridge Bunny!)
  • Personality: Koyomi is can be kind of a of a klutz at times, and rather embarrassed about this fact. She's not good on her feet and tends to drop papers or accidentally lose things quite easily. One may think, from this information, that Koyomi might be the shy, cute type. They would be entirely wrong. Koyomi is highly intelligent and highly sarcastic, and ends to be rather irritable towards anyone who points out her failings in terms of coordination. She's proud of being highly reliable as a member of SAGA's mission control crew, and has proven herself highly knowledgeable about most matters relating to her position. She enjoys sweets a great deal, possibly a little too much at times, and is rather proud of her position.
  • Abilities: N/A
  • Skills: Koyomi's not exactly one possessed of impressive abilities. She's quite knowledgeable and skilled at her job, however.
  • Background: Originally an IT student, Koyomi eventually discovered her interest did not lie in the maintenance of computers but rather the usage of them in support of various operations. She proved herself quite skilled in this endeavor, but it was by pure chance and luck that she became part of SAGA.

Suddenly ran out of inspiration when I hit her backstory. ^^;
@Rakurai: Honestly it's more that the bio is so unfitting tonally and doesn't make sense in-universe that's the issue. There's nothing that would make it acceptable and I'm kind of baffled it was applied in the first place.

... Anyway you basically worked out what I meant by effectiveness. That all seems fine, accepted.
Accepted.
Maria stared blankly at the merchant girl who was trying to pitch what was, once more, literally a lump of coal on a string. As some kind of time manipulating pendulum. That... was not how anything worked. At all. Oh, she could buy that a magical artifact could seem unimpressive, but this was just ridiculous. 'Advancing time by one second'? 'Something bad would happen if the string were to break'? That was one of the most nonsense things she had ever heard. Who even did this? What kind of desperate con artist woke up one morning and thought this was a great plan?

She swung it back and fourth, faster then the seconds past, staring blankly at the tophat-wearing girl. She had a feeling that wasn't going to prove anything, though.

And so, instead of attempting to display how stupid what the girl said was with that method, she carefully took the charcoal, untied the string(it was barely even tied at all, it was like a four-year-old had done it) and laid both pieces of the... 'pendulum' down.

"It's a lump of charcoal and some string. You are trying to sell a lump of charcoal and some string."
@Damiann47: I do have to point out that 5'5 is actually fairly tall for a Japanese girl, but nothing looks bad.

@sassy1085: When they're done I'll look them over.

@Rakurai: I'd like to know how effective his ability to enchant is, but other then that he looks fine.

@IncredibleBee: No.

@ProjectOdin: When he's done I'll take a serious look at him.
@Fabricant451: Oh right, character accepted in case you missed the edit. ^^;

I'll be getting up a teacher... probably tomorrow since I'm likely done GMing for tonight. ^^;
Accepted.
