Enyo watched the doc and she became hopeful as the man started to glow as if he was healing. As she watched him glow the doc got dimmer. "TIA! Hurry out back. I think the doc just died." As she looked down at the man he started to get dimmer too. "No!" When he drew his last breath Enyo held him to her and grieved for her friend.

Shiver appeared next to Enyo and the doc. She looks at Evergreen and takes her hand and Enyo's too. She teleported them to the entrance of the Mountain. Shiver put the doc in the magical water while Enyo opened the door and went to get her uncle Hades. Hades walked through the gate to the waterfall and looked at the beautiful doctor. In his typical fashion he said, "You want me to give her soul back so she can live again." Enyo nodded, "Please uncle, it was the cursed blade that took another and she tried to heal him and it took her too. She is the one who heals us all on the team." "I'll do it but for a price." "Whatever it is I'll pay." Enyo said.

Hades looked at her and said,"Enyo you can not give me what I want." Enyo's brows furrowed. "I want her." He pointed at Shiver. "Whoa, what?" "Uncle that's not-" "Not all the time Enyo, just for the six months of the year that Persephone is not here." Enyo looked fit to be tied but she looked to Shiver. "I understand if you don't want to do this Shiv. He is being unreasonable." Shiver thought about her responsibilities as co lead and that plainly meant that she needed to save anyone she could and their doctor was even more important in some ways. She looked at Hades and nodded. "How long til I would have to come here?" "Persephone leaves in three months." Shiver nodded, "Okay, I'll do it, now please bring her back!"

Hades placed his hand over the doc and she took a deep life reafirming breath and sat up slowly. Hades took Shiver's hand and pulled one of his rings off of his hand and as he put it on her hand it shrank to fit. "There it's done. I'll see you in a few months." He turned and nodded at Enyo and he left and the portal closed.

Shiver teleported them back to the HQ. Tia was there and she was confused. "What happened?" Enyo explained everything from the beginning and the Doc was surprised as well as Tia. Shiver walked off across the field in her own thoughts.

Enyo realized how dangerous today was. The government scientists had some serious pull and they were not going to go away or that they wouldn't just take supers without permission. They might pull from their supply of evil metas first but they would be back. This is what led to her training out on the field with swordsmen wearing full battle gear. With the government against them they were going to have to step up their game. There was no room for screw ups. Enyo was a little concerned about Tia leaving the HQ full time. She wondered how Miles was going to take that.

Her thoughts went to Roman and she wondered how he was handling all of this information. They had spent a nice evening talking and laughing and watching a movie. Today she had only seen him for a few minutes and nothing after that. She wondered why she hadn't seen him today. That thought bothered her as she swung her blade and it cut through the swordsman's suit and cut his arm. Enyo jumped and laid both of the swords on the ground yelling "Evergreen I need you out in the field NOW." She was not sure it would work. The blades were cursed. To her knowledge he couldn't be saved. "I am so sorry! I would never hurt you on purpose." Enyo's eye's teared up and blurred as she held the dying man. The other swordsman had taken his helmet off and was looking at her oddly.

Shiver heard Cal enter her room and he walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. She reached for him and He lay there on the bed with her and held her while she cried. "I'm sorry, I never realized how vulnerable we are til now. I lost control over everything in my life for about an hour. I almost died and I'm afraid that if it happens again that I won't be saved. At least Enyo can go back to the mountain and she would be fine." Shiver kept wiping her tears away. "Cal could you just stay here for a while?"

"Maybe doing this Today was a bad idea." Shiver thought that presenting a united front for the team would be the right thing to do. "Maybe we are better off looking at what we need to focus on first. We need our suits to reject all meta killing bullets and other weapons that they could use on us. I can tell you one thing for certain. The deck is stacked in their favor. They pulled back today not because they were scared. They are re-strategising.

Let me tell you something else. When I was wearing those cuffs and the doctor couldn't heal me and Tia couldn't phase me out of them. I've never been so scared, not in my entire life. I felt like I was really going to die for the first time ever." Shiver looked at Omega and Sigma. "I'm sorry, I've had too much crazy today. I was going to go and show a United front with you for the team but since they aren't coming I'm going to go lie down."

Shiver left the garage and headed back into the HQ and down the hall to her room. She went into her room and lay on the bed and began to cry softly.

Maren looked at her and smiled. "I understand he is cute too!" Maren smirked at her and nodded. "I guess I'll find out." She smiled and put all of her personal stuff into a box and went up to the office and set up in the assistant's desk outside of the office.

The young man was in the office with one of the other scientists. She was changing out the sign on the door when it opened. She moved back so Mr. Right exited the room. She saw Charlie, smiled and offered her hand. "Hello, Mr. Novak. I'm your secretary, Maren. Maren Matthews." She let him go by and put the sign on the door. Maren looked at him as he walked down the hall. Maren mumbled, "Trish was right, he is good looking."

Maren had to be careful at work, she wore witchy clothes and called herself a witch and when asked if she had supernatural powers she laughed. She always answered honestly. "Of course! That is why I work here and wear obvious clothing. Get real. I study Wicca and followers of Wicca are called witches and this is how we dress." Everyone laughed and shrugged it off that she was one of the more colorful people who worked here. She had no supernatural markers to be sensed so she was comfortable with telling them the truth.

Maren wondered about this Charlie Novak. Was he 100% a scientist? Did he have a conscious? She had to get to know him. She looked up at the camera in the corner and waved and blew it a kiss. She knew people were paid to watch them all day so she had to be careful about using her powers at work. She sat down at her desk and she closed her eyes as if to sneeze. In her mind she pictured the cell doors in the laboratory. At the same time Maren pretended to have a seriously hard sneeze the doors popped open and she grabbed a tissue and blew her nose for effect. The doors came open because the molecules on the locks had disappeared then reappeared and anyone in them that was not drugged could escape and had a fighting chance.

Maren heard the alarm go off and she looked up surprised and hurried to the stairs. This is what they did everytime this happened. The scientists assumed one of the 'patients' was doing it.

Personality: Maren is a bit of a wildcard. She loves her magical powers and she loves to use them. She has always been open about her powers. Mostly because they scare people and she feels safe because she doesn't need to use them. She loves animals, nature, men and strawberries. She is kindhearted. She can be quite aggressive to anyone who tries to hurt her or those she loves.

History: When Maren was a a small child she saw the leader of her mother's coven get kidnapped by the scientists and she also saw the same thing happen to each witch in the coven over the years. None of them ever returned. When they took her mom Maren had just come into her powers so they weren't strong enough to take the scientists on.

Maren has been waiting for the day that they might try to take her and her powers. She is all set and is fine with it being an all or nothing fight. She might be hard to stop when she gets started. She is hoping they will come looking for her.

Abilities:
1.Molecular Speed Manipulation-The user can control the speed of which molecules travel. They can accelerate molecules, decelerate molecules and even halt or displace molecules altogether (phasing). Advanced users can speed up molecules until they combust, slow down molecules until they lose energy, stop them completely, or revert them to an earlier state.

Weakness/weaknesses: Her body is human and is able to be hurt just like other people. She needs to use her hands unless she is phasing or teleporting those are mental only.
