The Wedding

collaboration with @dabombjk@caits

Kyle was in his room, brushing himself with his hands and trying to prepare himself the best way he could. The wedding was soon, and it was being held in front of the main building. There was to be food, drink, and as much enthusiasm as everyone could muster. While Obsidian was a joyful tribe, they rarely held parties. This wedding was something everyone was going to try to make memorable. Kyle looked himself over. He was wearing a black dress shirt and vest, with a black tie to match. He wore black dress pants but he wore his cleanest boots. Kyle pushed back his hair nervously. It hadnt helped that before he had gotten dressed he had gone to try to talk his close friends. Mabel had already started drinking, so she was of no help in calming his nerves. He had found Tokala with Alexis, which was a suprise to him. He had no idea that they....well.....were an item. He had found them mid kiss, with most of their clothing off. While he would have liked to have made a flashy entrance on any other day, today was not like any other day. So Kyle had went back to his room, to focus. He sat on his bed but absolutley unfocused.

Ranna finished in the shower and came out wrapped in a towel with a large comb in her hand. Seeing Kyle dressed she smiled but noticed he was just a little bit off. She sat on the bed near him. "Are you ok? Have you changed your mind about getting married?" She mentally hoped this was not the case but readied herself just in case. She worked the comb through her long hair and awaited his response.

Kyle chuckled slightly and looked at Ranna.

"Of course not babe, I am just.....anxious."

Kyle kissed Ranna on the cheek.

"Sorry for not leaving yet, I just had to grab a few things. I will get out of your hair."

Kyle got up to leave.

Ranna pulled him to her for just a moment. "He is right here. He is here with you in spirit." She smiled a little sadly knowing that he was missing his friend. She hugged him and said. "I'll see you soon, love."

Kyle hugged Ranna, and nearly teared up. He was not prone to crying, but he was missing his friend. He was suppose to have his best friend be his best man, but now.........he was not sure what to do.Kyle got up and walked out of his room and examined how the wedding decorations were proceeding. The guards had placed an altar in front of the main buidling, surrounded by a ring of flowers. Small colorful stones were laid carefully, placed in lines to signal where people would stand for the ceremony. Food and drink was placed all around on tables surrounding the ceremony area.

After Kyle was given status reports on the remaining guards who were on patrol around the tribe, Kyle tried his best to stay clean. As he passed people, they congratulated him, and cheered him. Kyle went to the near back of the tribe where the elders lived, and knocked softly on their door. An elderly asian man opened the door and embraced Kyle warmly. He offered Kyle a seat inside, at a table where other elders sat at. Kyle joined them and drank the refreshment they offered him. Kyle asked them their opinion of how he was doing, and any advice they had for him. Kyle did this quite often.

It was only moments after Kyle left that the ladies brought dresses for the bride to try and choose from. Ranna chose a close fitting lacy white dress that was trimmed in a white rose pattern. It fit her slender waist perfectly. Her long hair was twirled up and had a falling effect that made it look elegant and whimsical at the same time.

Zach knew they would be getting ready to start so he went back to the library to get his date. He had to walk the Princess down the aisle so he was dressed up too. Truth be told he was as excited for himself as he was the princess. Her wedding Kyle meant he got to stay too. He entered the library and this time he made sure to let her know he was there so she didn't get startled. "Niesha are you ready to go? The wedding will be starting in just a few moments."

Niesha was just putting the books away she had been reading, setting them behind a counter so she could continue to read them later when Zach called out. Niesha looked over and there may have been the barest hint of a smile. She assumed he had called out to not startle her again, and she found it a tad amusing. Yet it was gone so quick, and instead there was a worried expression. Zach seemed so dressed up, and she wasn't exactly dressed that well. "Oh" she reached up, thinking maybe she could at least do something with her hair, "I should have dressed in better clothes...but I'm ready"

Zach smiled at her and offered his arm to her, "I think you look perfect. I feel overdressed but as I have to give the princess away I kinda have to be. Most will be dressed in everyday clothing so I wouldn't worry. You will undoubtedly outshine them all."

That did nothing to calm the sudden nerves Niesha felt. She had never done anything like this before, and she felt like she stood on shaky ground. No one has even shown interest in her, and suddenly there was Zach. "Okay" she said, taking his arm, "I've never been to a wedding before, so I just chose my best clothes...but let's go"

Zach walked Niesha to the front of the main building and he seated her up front where he would be shortly. After checking on the holy man and everything else he looked around for Kyle.

Kyle sat with his tribes elders, listening to them carefully. He had many doubts, and much pain in his mind, and while usually coming to the elders would bring him some form of peace nothing of the sort happened this visit. They warned him of the error in this marriage, and how foolish he was being. The leader of Obisidian, in their minds, should not allow a pretty face and the loss of someone close to him make him act out of emotion. After listening to the elders babble, Kyle politely excused himself.

Kyle walked back to where the ceremony was being held, and walked to the very back. He examined everyone, how they were acting, how much they were drinking, the laughter. Kyle tried his best to smile, and chuckled. He was being foolish. Kyle walked forward, surprising everyone who did not know he was there yet, and walked to the right of the altar. Kyle saw Zach, and their new librarian and motioned for them to come over to him.

Zach went up to Kyle. He was still holding Niesha's hand. "Is everything okay Kyle? Are you ready for me to go get Ranna?"

Kyle shook his head.

"Nah make her wait. Lets make her wait until the moon comes out, and have everyone be naked to suprise her. Then we commence a blood sacrifice to the creator, and start a harem that will make the heavens shake."

Zach looked at Kyle and wondered how much he had been drinking. He turned to Niesha and asked her if she could wait for him in seating. "Did someone slip you some loco weed or a bad batch of liquor? What the hell are you talking about?"

Kyle laughed softly. He put his hand on Zachs shoulder.

"Dude im kidding. Ranna isnt really the harem type anyways. Lets get this show on the road already."

Zach looked up thanking whatever god might be watching as he turned and went to go get Ranna. He knocked on the door and a couple of the ladies came out and Zach went in and he didn't know what to say when she turned around. Ranna was stunning. Her gown fitted her as if it had been made for her. It was her. Zach hadn't even realized he had been holding his breath til she asked,

"Well? How do I look? Do you think Kyle will like it?" Zach smiled at her. "If he doesn't marry you looking like that I will." Ranna blushed and playfully punched him in the arm and hugged him. "Okay let's go." She happily took Zach's arm and let him lead her to the alter. Along the way there were many admiring looks from both men and women. Even the messenger smiled on his way out of town as he caught sight of her. When Ranna turned onto the walk where Kyle could see her she blushed but her eyes never wavered or left his.

Zach stood next to her until the holy man asked him to give her to the groom. Zach dutifully gave his princess over to her soon to be husband and then he went to sit next to Niesha.

Kyle took in an eyeful of Ranna, and nearly lost his breath. She was more than stunning, no words in any language could adequately describe how amazing Ranna looked. Kyle took Ranna's hands in his own and poured into her eyes.

"Ranna...you look amazing," Kyle said softly to Ranna.

Kyle was shushed by the holy man, who began the wedding ceremony.

Ranna barely caught some of the words and she followed her cues and recited her vows but she was so caught up in Kyle's eyes that all she cared about was the you are man and wife part.'

As soon as the holy man said those words Kyle and Ranna were inseparable. There was a lot of laughter and congratulations.

As soon as the final words were spoken, and it was decreed they were husband and wife, Kyle held Ranna in his arms, kissed her, and just in general tried to connect with her on a physical level as much as possible. He felt such pride and love at the inseparable bond he now had with Ranna, all of his other problems seemed to float away. During the song and dance, Kyle took a small break and dragged Ranna off to the side, laughing.

"So Mrs. Hishamie, how are you liking the festivities? When Obsidian's party we party hard."

Ranna smiled, "I see that. Mrs. Hishamie has a nice ring to it." She looked into his eyes and leaned in and said, "I love you my husband." She felt so close to him and just over his shoulder she spied something that she thought was a long time coming. "Babe look at Zach."

Zach was dancing with Niesha. He looked like he was having a good time for once. Ranna smiled and nodded at him when he glanced up and saw her.

Kyle looked at Zach and the librarian. He realized he did not even know her name. He felt like an ass when he realized this. Maybe her name was....Kalinda? Kyle turned to Ranna and laughed softly. He was glad though that Zach was enjoying himself. He knew Zach still had feelings for Ranna, so maybe library book over there could get him to check out of the Ranna section.

Kyle watched Zach, Library book, and his tribe laugh and enjoy themselves. This could not be a better day.

Niesha had absolutely no idea how she had gone from being in the library, to witnesses a wedding ceremony and now dancing of all things. She knew she was a hopeless dancer, so she had no idea how she had even agreed to it. She just didn't know how to place her feet, or what to do, and she probably looked foolish.

She was really surprised she hadn't fallen on her butt yet. "This is dangerous, you know. I could fall and take who knows how many people out."

Zach chuckled at her, "You are in no danger milady. I had to dance with Ranna more times than I can count. Just follow my lead and you will look like we are gliding." It really did look like that. He even lifted her off of the ground on some of the spins. He chuckled at her excitement.

Niesha still couldn't help but worry about her clumsiness, but it seemed that Zach wouldn't let her fall. She was startled as he lifted her, and gave a small, surprised sound the first time. She soon expected them, but it was still shocking. Surprising herself, she gave a laugh, and then seemed shocked that such a sound would come from her. "Oh. Um." She didn't know what to say, sure she was behaving weird.

Ranna watched Zach and Niesha for a few more moments until Kyle stole her attention away. She didn't mind at all. He was the one person she could look at happily for the rest of her life. She turned and kissed him deeply before anyone could drag him off.

Kyle had watched until he could watch no more, and when he turned his attention back to Ranna, she was the most beautiful women he had ever laid eyes on. Kyle kissed Ranna back deeply, and held her closely to him. Kyle suddenly stood up and picked up Ranna, bride in grooms arms style, and nearly ran back to their room. Kyle could barely get the door closed before he started to lose himself with Ranna.

Zach watched as Kyle jumped up and ran off carrying his much surprised and somewhat embarrassed bride back to their room. Zach and most of the others there laughed really hard at his enthusiasm.

Zach was still holding Niesha's hand. He stood and pulled her to her feet and he gently tugged her to come with him. The moon had risen and it was a beautiful evening. He pulled her towards the lake. The moon was shining on it and he loved that. He stood behind Niesha and wrapped his arms loosely around her looking at the lights in the sky.

Niesha found herself surprisingly comfortable, which made her worry. She rarely was comfortable with anyone, thats why she hid in the library as much as she could. Which was suddenly seeming like a bad idea, becoming the new librarian. She ended up talking with a lot of people.

Looking up at the moon, as if she could find the answer to her questions there. After a minute, she said softly "There's a book in the library, that says the stars are so far away, their light a great distance, just to brighten up the sky at night. It kind of makes anything seem possible, doesn't it?"

Zach smiled to himself in the dark he nodded and said, "I think just about anything is possible. Don't you?" Zach was really enjoying her company. He really liked her sense of humor. Zach walked her the rest of the way back to the library. "Where are you living now?"

"Mostly I live in the library, it's better then my place, but I have a little place nearby" Niesha said softly, "It's not far. Thank you, for taking me out, and...well, it was fun" She said, suddenly feeling awkward, not sure what to do or say now.

Zach could tell she felt a little awkward and he decided to ask her something. "Niesha, may I kiss you goodnight?"

Surprised at the question, Niesha had absolutely no idea how to answer. Maybe it wasn't something you could answer, but merely...merely something you wanted. How you felt. And she was overthinking. She had to wonder if there was smoke coming out her ears, as her brain went into overdrive.

She very nearly yelled at her brain to shut up. After what seemed like an eternity to her, she gave a nod, not trusting her voice.

Zach watched her intently and he could see the second her brain went crazy. At her slight nod he picked her up and leaned into the wall with her and he kissed her til she couldn't think. When he pulled back he was a bit surprised at the response that he had gotten from her. He wanted to kiss her again but he waited to see into her eyes.

A little dazed at the effectiveness of the kiss, Niesha drew in a deep shaky breath, sure she would have slid down the wall if Zach hadn't a hold on her. She looked to him, sure her cheeks were bright red, yet she seemed unable to look away.

"wow"

Zach hated to tear himself away but he knew he must or they both might regret it later. "That's how I'd describe it." He sighed and hugged her to him and kissed her on the lips softly and set her on her feet. Then he watched her go into the library and he walked back to the lake and lay on the grass to watch the moon.

When the car pulled up to Nora's house the sun was still up and the others appeared to be resting. Piper carefully climbed over Grant and slipped out the door. She ran into the house and yelled. "Rick! Ben! Barkley! Ophelia?" She ran into the kitchen and found all things running smoothly. Ophelia jumped from her screaming. Barkley looked up and scolded her. "Miss Piper....whatever are you screaming about?" "Where is Rick? Hurry up Dracula is here and I need to talk to Rick!" Barkley pointed upstairs. He pushed Ophelia into the secret passageway and told her to wait there. Piper took the stairs in one leap and barged into Rick's room. He was laying across Nora's bed on his stomach. "Rick! Dracula is here. He wants to kill you so you have to go right now!" Piper said shaking Rick and grabbing his shoes. "Come on! I don't want to see you killed or Nora for that matter."

Matt had gone up on the roof to get some air. One of the men downstairs grabbed a mop and started cleaning up the blood off of the floors. It was a putrid smell and luckily they had a couple fans to get a breeze through the front door. Matt had assumed somebody took the head out since the scent had diminished considerably. He climbed up and sat on the ledge, one leg hanging on the inside and one on the outside.

He was positive that Ingrid gave him several huge bruises. That girl fought with her entire body. Every part of the body. Now that Nikki had been teaching her how to use Martial Arts she was even more dangerous. Matt grinned at the memory of Jon tackling her to take her down a notch. Matt actually chuckled. If he ever thought of tackling Kat...well he couldn't even picture a reason that would ever happen.

It was almost dinner time now. He got up and looked out on the horizon. Nothing to look at out there. He went down wondering what the menu was for dinner. Matt was really missing Jenna's cooking. Some of the ladies couldn't cook very well or they didn't work well together whatever it was Matt's stomach missed Jenna's cooking.

@Belle@Demonic angel
@josephb Go ahead, move it over and you are clear to post.
@Demonic Angel

Oh cool! I was beginning to wonder what I did. :P
@Demonic Angel

Okay so why are the kids all trying to leave the school? Is it because they don't like Kyle's leadership?

Oh BTW @Josephb is back and joining the rp with Ethan. :)
@Demonic Angel

There is no one living on the third floor. It is used to get to the roof and when they were up there fighting from the roof they used the floor for storing and making weapons but those rooms are locked up.
@alexfangtalon

No, actually Raven's head is still in the office. With all the fighting I forgot to have it removed.
@alexfangtalon@Demonic Angel

Well like i said the last time i was asked...there is no basement.
Day 65 4:30pm

Jon, Ingrid, Matt, Nikki and Kyle

collaboration with @kurai assassin

Matt carried Ingrid to the medical room and closed the door. She was kicking and screaming about killing Erin and she came close to rupturing his manhood at least once. "Ingrid STOP KICKING ME!"

Matt grabbed his walkie. "Jon get to medical stat it's Ingrid!"

Jon got the call from Matt while he was on the roof with Nick trying to sort out next weeks guard assignments. "God damnit, Im on my way Matt, word of advice id create as much distance between yourself and her as possible." Jon passed his plans over to Nick. "Just post the assignments over the tanoid, Ok?" with a quick nod from Nick, Jon made his way to the medical room.

"Matt, get away from the door. I'm gonna kill that little bitch. First I'm gonna torture her then I'm gonna make her pay for what she did to 'er." Matt had noticed that the angrier Ingrid got the thicker her irish brogue was. At this point he had to really try to understand what she was saying.

"Ingrid I can't let you do that." "Why the fuck not? If it had been one of yours you'd 'elp me do it!"

Matt nodded, "You're probably right but two wrongs don't make a right."

Visibly agitated Ingrid charged him. "Don' gimme that shit Matt!"

Jon got to the door as he heard Ingrid screaming at Matt. He entered the room as he saw her charge Matt. He lept into action quite quick and kinda rugby tackled her and held her on the floor. "Matt, i'd take your leave if i were you. And you need to calm the fuck down."

Matt left the room and let Jon handle his woman. Ingrid held onto Jon and the feelings of sadness finally bubbled to the surface and she cried. "Tha' little Erin bitch killed Raven and cut 'er 'ead off and brought it in like it was a trophy 'er somethin'." She couldn't get past the shock of seeing her severed head toted around like it was a purse.

"I'm gonna kill tha' little bitch fer it."

Jon lowered his head. "Im sorry. i know she was like family to you. I promise ill find a way to bring justice for her but right now you need to look past this. Ok? There is an entire school needing you to show that you are above what that bitch did. You need to show them that your strong but not insane. You need to show them the woman i know. Which reminds me we really should stop starting conversations where one of us is on top of the other." Jon kissed her forehead and stood up offering her his hand.

Ingrid took his hand and let him pull her to her feet. "I don't know Jon I like it when you are on top." She said mischievously. She moved into his arms and kissed him and let him hold her. "Now what do we do and I'm giving ya fair warnin' if I see her I'm no' gonna lie, I'll kill 'er."

About this time Nikki, Kyle and Matt walked in to get something. Nikki walked over and hugged Ingrid. "I'm so sorry, I know she was your friend." "Aye she was and Erin killed her because of that piece o' shit bruther o' ers. If I see Vincent or Erin again I'll kill 'em Nikki. Ya won' fault me fer it will ya'?" Nikki shook her head. "No, I wouldn't Ingrid."

Matt handed Nikki a pregnacy test and Ingrid saw it. "Oh my god you think you are?...already?" Nikki held it up and said, "We'll see." She walked into the bathroom and came out a few minutes later with a somber look on her face. "Matt? How dangerous is a pregnancy this soon after a miscarriage?" She turned the test around to show them the results was positive.

Nikki showed Kyle, "Okay Daddy. We are going to have to be extremely careful."
Matt nodded. "Yes you are, VERY careful." Matt confirmed.

Jon looked astonished. "Jesus, Congratulations to the both of you. Kyle ill keep a guard posted with Nikki at all times to avoid any problems like last time. Infact..." Jon turned to Ingrid. "It might be smarter if you looked after Nikki, i mean you guys have that kinda connection if you get what i mean. But we can worry about that later. I think now is the time for celebrations." He said looking back at Nikki, Matt and Kyle. "I confiscated some vodka, jack daniels and some non-alcohoholic cider from a couple of my guards while they were on duty, sounds like now is a better time than any to crack them open eh?"

Nikki smiled and took Kyle's hand. She looked up at him and saw the look in his eyes and she reached up and kissed him lightly.

Ingrid was watching and smiled so big she couldn't help it, she laughed. "How much irony is it? God took the baby spawned by the devil and gave you a new baby with a clean spirit. Nikki, I would be thrilled to be your guard." Nikki turned and hugged her. "I'd love that too Ingrid."

Nikki gave Kyle a look because she knew what he was thinking. She knew he was skeptical of Ingrid but that was because of location not anything with any proof or even suspicion. Nikki and Kyle went next door and Matt went with her to go over the rules.

Ingrid looked at Jon and wondered if they would have a family one day. She took his hand and said.... "What would you say if I came to you one day and said I was having a baby?"

"I need'nt say a thing. Cause for you to come and tell me that would make my face light up. But i dont think its a smart idea at the minute. with everything thats going off. Maybe one day when the world is a better place, or when Nikki eventually decides to abandon this place and head further north like i keep suggesting." Jon smiled and took her hand and led her away. "For now though, what says me and you go get some pre-celebration drinks ay?"

Ingrid smiled and nodded her head. "Aye, right now I'll have to keep Nikki safe and ..." Ingrid laughed. "I'm probably the only female here more stubborn than she is...well maybe Kat but it would be close."

She let Jon lead her upstairs to their room and while he poured alcohol Ingrid was thinking about their future at the school.

"Why would you think Nikki should have us move up north? With the bad weather there is less chance of having electricity or working heat and with the cold up there.....those are necessary."

"I can be certain that the electricity and heating should be fine. The only bad weather there is the snow and that is more of an advantage. See, im not sure if youve seen them but in the more central areas that have a decent tempreature ive seen zombies that can run. In the north their flesh stiffens meaning they cant run and are slower than usual so our only problem would be other survivors. Ive thought about this enough to have a plan B if shit hits the fan." Jon said smirking as he poured himself and Ingrid two rather large glasses of jack daniels whiskey.

Ingrid grinned, "Walkers running? I've not seen that since watching World War Z before the outbreak. Snow also means ya can't bury the dead for months because the ground is frozen. That leads to more airborne illnesses because of the dead rotting. People are going to be a problem no matter where we are. I still think it's better here than up north."

Ingrid accepted her rather large glass of jack daniels and took a gulp of it. "Jack always has that bite to it." She put her glass down and her arms around his waist. "Promise me that you;ll not go north without me. I don't want to go there but if you said we were going I'd go with you."

"What we cant bury, we burn. Should be doing that anyways. Less chance of them coming back to bite ya. but i promise you i wont go north without you. ill take you with me if i need to leave. Im gonna speak to Nikki about it anyways first. " he said looking down and then downing the entire glass in one.

"Theres nothing of strategic interest here, we need to be somewhere with higher temperatures or lower temperatures. The heat will speed up the state of decay and the cold will cause walkers to move slower."

Ingrid tipped her glass back and guzzled it down. "So, you think that if we went north that the electricity wouldn't be a problem. Even though the power grids were knocked out due to terrible storms last year and it took a long time to get them back up. That the cold would make the walkers slower and we could burn them rather than bury 'em....But what about the walkers that would be attracted by the fires? There are more dead up north than there were in the south. Weather kept them from getting out. I know, I was up there. I got out fast but not many did."

Ingrid sat down and smirked at him.

"Okay, Then we go south towards Arizona. The heat will mean theres less walkers cause their bodies decay quicker." Jon said. He sat down beside Ingrid and started to kiss her neck. "But we can worry about it later."

Ingrid giggled and kissed him back and let him push her back onto the bed.
