The Explosion and collapse of the school

"THERE ARE WALKERS IN THE BUILDING REPEAT THERE ARE WALKERS IN THE BUILDING ON THE RESIDENCE END." Nikki got back downstairs and she ran to hers and Kyle's room and grabbed her coat and sword and a bag she started tossing stuff into. She wasn't sure what was going to happen. She got out of their room and another quake hit.
This time Nikki saw part of the ceiling in the hallway coming down and over by the stairs to go up also. She yelled into the walkie.
"EVACUATE THE SCHOOL NOW!" She ran back towards the cafeteria.
"MATT! KAT!!" She looked in the cafeteria where she saw that the gas main was broken and the fire was raging again. She turned around and started to run back towards the stairs.
People were screaming and running everywhere. Kyle grabbed her and she struggled and he tossed her over his shoulder and ran out the front doors. When they were halfway across the parking lot the building blew up. The force of the explosion threw her and Kyle to the ground about 15 feet further away. Nikki looked up and jumped to her feet and she was caught by Kyle as she tried to run passed him.
"No! No! I've got to find Matt! and Gracie and Kat!" He held her tight and wouldn't let her go back into the building.
Jon was already running to the second floor, grabbing his walkie talkie from his belt he yelled into it.
"Guards get everyone from the ground floor out of here. Nick stop Nikki and Kyle from Re-entering. Tell them ill get Matt and his family out." As he reached the second floor the flames from the ground floor began to rise higher and make their way up the stairs causing his cloak to catch fire. He quickly lost the cloak and ran down the second floor corridor shouting at the top of his lungs.
"MATT. KAT. INGRID. SOMEBODY ANSWER PLEASE!"Ingrid was just about to Kat's room when part of the floor she was on collapsed and she went dropping between two floors. She felt part of her side was cut and she was holding onto a piece of iron rebar and she was hanging by a one hand. She pulled herself up a little bit and yelled when she realized it was at least 15 feet to the ground below and it was cluttered with debris. Ingrid heard a large blast and saw the floor that was the third floor falling towards her. She screamed and ducked her head as she began falling.
Jon noticed Ingrid about to enter Kats room when the floor gave way and she fell through being smothered in debris.
"NOOOOOOOO" he screamed as he ran at full pelt towards the gaping hole. He grabbed his walkie talkie off his belt.
"Nick, i need you to go and check for Matt and Kat, Ingrid fell through the floor and i need to go help her. I'm sorry to do this to you but i need to do this." he said as he attempted to drop into the same position Ingrid had fell into.
Meanwhile Nick took a shot at a walker as it stumbled out of the building, before taking off back into the building in search of Matt, Kat and Grace.
Matt had gone to the second floor looking for Kat and he had heard screaming and had to move debris off of one of the older men. Matt had pushed on and then the explosion had happened and most of the third floor came down on the second pushing all of it towards the first floor. Everything was collapsing.
"KAT! Gracie!" Matt could see their room up ahead but he wasn't even sure they were in there. Matt lifted a boulder sized piece of building and threw it out of his way. And then everything went black as Matt was hit on the head by part of the third floor.
Jon began to shout Ingrids name as soon as he hit the floor. He had cut a gash in his leg which to anyone in a normal situation should have rendered him unable to walk but the adrenaline surging through his body willed him to continue.
"INGRID, WHERE ARE YOU?"Ingrid started to come to, she could hear the sizzling of electricity, the fire blazing and the creeks of the building as it was trying to stay up but was failing and then she heard the most wonderful thing. She heard her name on the lips of the man she loved. She was buried under debris and she started coughing.
"I'm 'ere! Jon!" She pushed her arm through the debris until it felt like it was free.
Jon saw the arm and heard his name called out.
"I swear to god your one lucky bitch." He said gripping the rubble and attempting to move it. His hands, which should have been in immense pain were numb as he hoisted a burning beam off of Ingrid before grabbing her and cradling her in his arms looking for the nearest exit from the building.
Ingrid had inhaled so much into her lungs she couldn't stop coughing but as more of the building started falling she put her feet down and grabbed Jon's hand and ran with him out of the building. As soon as she got outside she started coughing so hard she collapsed onto the pavement.
Nikki saw Ingrid and Jon coming out and she ran towards Ingrid and she grabbed her in a tight hug.
"Did you see Kat or Matt?" Ingrid shook her head.
"I never got to their room." She said wheezing. She looked up at Jon,
"Did you see them?" "I'm sorry, I tried to reach them but then i saw Ingrid fall and... OH SHIT. Nick went in to look for Matt." He said as he finally had time to assess the situation. He looked down at his burnt hand and looked at the gash in his leg. The pain had finally got to him as he collapsed to the floor.
Ingrid held tight to Jon's hand and when he collapsed she helped him.
"Yer na goin' anywhere without me." The fence was starting to collapse under the weight of all the walkers pushing on it. Nikki ran to the truck and opened the door.
"Get him in here!" Ingrid got to her feet and she and Kyle dragged Jon over and put him inside it. She grabbed a crowbar out of it and she shut the door on him.
Nikki, Kyle and Ingrid were soon joined by some of the guards and Darius and they battled the walkers outside the school hoping there would be more survivors shortly.
