Alex North

Alex's frustration and anger were nearly out of control until Claudia stepped in front of him. "I know it is but not THIS WOLF!" Alex was staring at Lukas who wasn't budging no matter the effort Piper put into budging him.

Piper glared at Alex and said "Come on Alex that was 75 years ago!" "I know how long it was dammit! He is not good enough for you!" Piper felt tears well up in her eyes as she turned away from Alex and took Lukas by the hand and dragged him outside with her.

Once they got outside of town on the east side Lukas sat down and pulled her to him. "Okay, who is Alex to you and what is this past that I don't know about?" Piper sat on his lap and put her arms around his neck. "This might bother you a little." "I figured that was a possibility."

"I'm a little over 200 years old. Lucinda turned me when I was dying from the wolf change. It's how I became a hybrid. Lucinda and I were no where near her coven and when we got back there she introduced me to one of her other vampire children and that's how I met Alex."

"He was a little over 650 years old back then and I fell head over heels for him and he for me. It was one of those love at first sight kind of things you know?" Lukas watched as Piper remembered hers and Alex's old love and it made him a little unnerved. He held her tighter to him as he listened. "We were pretty much inseparable. Lucinda loved that we worked so well together. She would say we were her perfect team. Anyway things were going really well for the first 85 or so years. Things slowly started to erode and I wanted to join a pack. Alex freaked out of course. You know how packs can be. I waited until I couldn't stand not being a part of one and I left him a note."

Lukas made a face. "I know! I know! It was a judgement call and I ...it was cold ok. I couldn't face him. So I just left. I left the coven for 25 years. When I came back he was with Sookie. So we just slipped into a brother sister thing. We've never spoken of it til now." Piper felt so heavy, like there were a ton of weights on her. She cuddled up in his arms. "Don't worry, I won't leave you and if something happened where there was no choice I wouldn't leave you a note. I'd stick around and speak to you."

Alex North

Alex's laughter turned to throaty moans as his lady turned her attentions to his pleasure. Just before his mind succumbed to her completely he thought to remind himself later to ask about her twin later. They didn't surface from the bedroom for several hours.

When they did Alex saw Shade walk into the house and his eyes got wide seeing Claudia there. He smiled slightly and went into the living room to watch tv. "Where is Kitty Cat?" "I told you to watch her." Shade got up and came back into the doorway. "She left club right after you did, I thought she went with you." "She was here but she didn't come here with me. I have no idea where she is." Shade gave him a frustrated look. "Go find her Shade." Alex commanded gently. "Son of a bitch, I'm gonna strangle her!" When the door banged shut Alex chuckled.

Shade Nightwalker

Shade sped into town. Kitty Cat liked to eat fresh as he called it. Problems arose because she was not good at covering her tracks. She had gotten into trouble with the police because of her antics. Alex and Shade had had to glamour them several times already. When he caught her she was shouting at some skanky vamp who oddly was drinking from a drug addict. That kind of blood was not going to be good for her. Kitty kicked the other vamp girl in the back and then she ripped her head off by climbing on her back and yanking. About this time Shade ran up and grabbed her. "Kitty! Damnit Alex said you aren't supposed to be out here on your own."

Kitty Kitchell

Kitty was still kicking and screaming at Shade when he threw her on the ground outside of the city. "You stupid bitch! You are going to get us all in trouble. You can't go on a feeding frenzy or help your little druggy vamp friend do it. One of these times Alex will not send me for you and you'll get staked." Kitty walked away from him and back towards the house. Charlie came back outside to her and licked her face and growled facing the woods again. "You'd be the only one to notice if I were gone huh Charlie." Kitty lay on her back and looked up at the stars and wondered how many times she would be doing this very thing. Now that Alex had a serious mate she wasn't going to have attention from anyone but Charlie. He wasn't going to have time for her, and Shade... he was like the pissy older brother who didn't like babysitting. She closed her eyes when Charlie growled. "Charlie be quiet. There is no one out here but us and Shade the asshole."

Day 360 7am

Nikki Hishamie

15 days after the meeting

Nikki put her sweet baby boy in blankets and on top of a pillow. He was too small to go anywhere on his own. Ingrid was watching him sleep while his mama got herself back into shape fast. Nikki had started a revised workout routine two days after having Josh. She had to be ready for going back out there. She had to keep him safe. She knew that once upon a time Indians taught their babies not to cry but she had no idea how to do that other than to anticipate his needs as quickly as she could. Nikki was working the bag, not the one her brother had destroyed but another one. She was kicking it hard and then switched legs and then she went into an aerial kick and almost landed on the ground as she missed her landing. "Wow! Ingrid my hips are not in the same place that they used to be. That makes this harder." She said while breathing hard.

Nikki was in a hurry because they only had a few days worth of the mainstay of supplies. They would have to ration at that point. It was then that they had to be moving.

Piper Lance

Piper walked into Bitten. She saw Alex's head pop up when they stepped through the door. His eyes narrowed and he started moving towards them. "Piper, what are you doing with this bastard?" Alex snarled while staring at Lukas. "Alex? why are you acting like this?" Piper asked as Lukas emmitted a low growl. Piper moved between them and put up a hand holding each at bay. "What the fuck is wrong with you two?"

Alex held himself in check, barely. "That is Lukas Liekos, we met in Alabama a few years ago. He is a killer Piper." Piper glared right back at him and said, "Yeah, aren't we all! I need more than that Alex. I've imprinted on him and he on me!" This news angered Alex so bad that he screamed and slammed his hand right though the bar upending it and sending glasses shattering on the floor. "You did WHAT?" Piper actually stepped back and ran into Lukas who didn't move an inch. Customers were fleeing out the door in a hurry. Soon there were very few in the bar and they were in awe of the scene unfolding in front of them.

Lukas watched and couldn't figure out why Alex was so angry. There seemed to be more to the past between Piper and Alex than either had let on about yet. "You know we have no choice in who we imprint on. Why are you so angry with her?" "YOU DON'T GET TO SPEAK!" Lukas went to step forwards and Piper blocked him. "Please Lukas don't!"

"Claudia! I could really use your help!" Piper yelled.

Kitty Kitchell

Kitty was about to ask him to wait when he disappeared into the woods. She turned back to the house. She had given out more information than she probably should have but there were very few who could even compare to Alex when it came down to his age and strength. She stomped into the house she would have liked to have continued speaking to... hell she hadn't gotten his name. "Fuck" she mumbled irritated with herself.

Kitty knocked on Alex's bedroom door. "Mr. and Mrs. North! Someone was here asking about you Claudia." Alex threw the covers over them and yelled."Open the door Kitty." She opened it and stood in the doorway. "Some wolf with a scar on his face showed up to check on Claudia. He never said his name but I told him she would be safe because if you brought her here she must mean something to you since you never bring girls here. I probably shouldn't have told him that part. I thought you should know. So Daddy? Is this my new Mommy?" She laughed and closed the door as Alex threw a shoe at her.

Alex had a small smile on his face at the Mrs and the Mommy part. He chuckled and turned back to Claudia. "I'm sorry she can be a real handful. I don't know if that guy is trustworthy or not. If he is looking out for you that is fine but if he tries to take you away from me I'll kill him." Alex lay on his side looking at her. "You are simply beautiful. I need to let you know that I'm not a nice guy. You are my lady so to you and those I've sired I am but to others it is rare that I open up."

Lukas Liekos, werewolf

Lukas shifted back into his human form on the edge of town along with some of Samuel's other wolves. He had gotten there just a couple of days ago and some of the new guys were giving him a hard time but he could take care of them. He dressed in the woods. He always left clothes somewhere near where he went in so he wouldn't get arrested for indecent exposure. That had happened once when he was a teenager and he was not about to go through that fiasco again.

He nodded at some of the guys and he left and headed into town. He wanted food and a beer. It didn't take him long until he ran across a quaint little pub. He walked in and saw a group up at the bar and he caught the scent of vamps and something he couldn't quite figure out. He walked in and sat down at a small table.

Piper had been facing the bar but she turned away from Holly and said, "I'll be right back." She walked past Lukas' table and his breath disappeared as it felt like he was hit with a wall of emotions. He had heard about what it felt like but it had never happened to him. He looked up at the young woman and he got up and followed her. When she got to the jukebox and started scrolling through it he said, "hey" Piper looked up, he reached for her, pulled her to him and started kissing her. Piper shoved him back from her and a sanctuary spell sent her flying out of the building to the sidewalk outside. Piper landed with a thud and grabbed her wrist in pain. It took a moment to heal. She stood up and shook everything off and she looked up as he was coming out of the door. She swung her fist and he blocked her punch.

Infuriated Piper screamed at him "What the fuck do you think you're-" Lukas picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder. Piper was yelling and hitting him and she bit him in the back. No one helped her because they thought it was just a silly spat between lovers since Lukas was grinning and calm. As soon as they got out of sight of the city streets he took her into the woods and she was immediately quieter knowing she could change anytime she wanted or needed if in the woods. She looked at him for the first time and when her eyes locked onto his he kissed her again. This time she didn't fight him.

Afterwards, breathless and sated Piper had questions. Lukas was happy and had his arm protectively around her as she lay on him on the forest floor. She sat up on top of him and smiled at him a little embarrassed to ask, "I need to know who you are, what the hell and WHAT THE HELL!" Lukas laughed at her demands. She grinned at his expression.

"I'm serious!" Piper said playfully, crossing her arms and demanding answers she might have seemed fierce if they were not both naked in the woods. She shifted while sitting atop him and he groaned a little. Grabbing her hands in his he splayed his fingers apart and wrapped them around hers and pulled her down on him. He put both arms around her.

With a smile he said, "I imprinted on you. You couldn't tell?" Piper's eyes got big and horrified she escaped his arms. "NO, NO you didn't!" Piper started getting dressed and fell over in her hurry. She wiggled into her jeans and then put her top on. "The fucking HELL YOU DID! Sometimes I hate this hybrid shit! How the hell can I imprint on a vampire and a wolf at the same time?" Lukas was getting dressed also and he grabbed her by the arms and pulled her to him to calm her.

"Tell me what you mean, imprinted on a vampire." Piper looked at him in frustration and said, "I am both vampire and werewolf. A day or so ago I think I imprinted on a vampire and it's really messed up! I'm not supposed to be able to do that!" Lukas looked at her and said, "You didn't. Were you here in these woods the other day?" Piper nodded.

"Yes, I was and then I was overwhelmed and ...were you here in these woods the other day?" Lukas nodded. "Nearly all afternoon. As soon as I felt you nearby I looked everywhere for you but the only place I didn't look for you was the place I smelled the vampire." Piper laughed and then tears started down her face. "Oh thank god!" She let him hug her to him and her relief was overwhelming. She explained what had happened with Grant but didn't tell him who anyone was. Piper was shaking with the enormity of what it meant.

"I'm Piper Lance. I'm part of the Prescott coven." Lukas' expression changed to one of anguish. "What's wrong?" He pulled her to him. How was he supposed to tell her that he was her enemy? "Piper, I'm Lukas Liekos of the eastern Elyria pack, led by Samuel." Piper's face changed and she started to push away from him. "No, NO! You can't be with Samuel. He is evil and he wants to kill my family!"

Lukas pulled her back to him. "I'm not letting you go. You're mine now. We'll figure out the rest." Piper nodded her head as it lay against his chest.

"I'm sure that you will meet her rather soon too." Lucinda stopped at the remark about updating the security. "I think updating the security would be a wonderful idea. Oh and can you keep the fridge stocked up? Piper still eats regular food. We all drink alcohol though. It gives us a buzz but that is about it"

Lucinda left the house.

Lucinda Elloise Prescott

Lucinda smiled and wiped her mouth. "I hope you don't mind if I ask you to feed others in my line or my lover occasionally. I will also need you to keep track of and pay the bills and household repairs as needed. I have an account set up for you to use. I will put money in it as needed. Just keep a ledger with receipts and all will be well."

Lucinda went to her desk and showed her where everything is. "We will be having a lot of trouble with some of the werewolves in the area and we need to protect the witches. Oh! I have a hybrid daughter named Piper. She is the only wolf I can think of that is allowed in the house without question, so if no one is home don't allow them inside."

Alex saw Claudia raise her neck to him and pull her hair over so he could feed. It took so much self control not to just rip into her but he managed to hold himself back long enough to be gentle and carefully glide his teeth into her neck and then he fed on her sating his hunger. This just drove his need for her deeper and deeper until he lost control completely and gave in to his body's demands. He bit his lip and kissed her bite marks healing them. As he drove them both to the edge of heaven and back his eyes locked with the passion in hers. Once they were spent they lay in each other's arms and he kissed her gently and continuously. Alex was in love and he knew that could be dangerous in his line of work but he also knew that he couldn't let her go.

Kitty Kitchell

Kitty watched as the wolf man came out of the trees. He was very handsome and his muscles were well defined and she felt an attraction instantly but she didn't want to be attracted to him because he was her enemy. "Yes, Alex is my sire. I think the lady wolf will be well cared for. He has never brought a woman to our home before so she must be special to him." Kitty inspected him and asked, "If you are here to fight him for her you will lose. I don't see him giving her up if he cares enough to bring her here." Realizing that what she said might sound insulting she backtracked and stammered a little. "I..I didn't mean you couldn't win, just that he would be even more fierce than usual if you tried to take her from him." She blushed a little.
