Spicy and I are likely going to work on a collaborative post. It should get both our characters to the classroom.

I think at this point most of us are waiting for you to take us to the next scene. I know I for one am not wanting to step on any plans you might have for the first day of classes.

"Well I guess we should get cracking." Devin said as he scooped the map up. He looked it over to double check and saw they were supposed to take a left outside the shop. Once he stepped outside he seemed almost instantly accosted by street vendors of every kind. Some were selling magical trinkets while others promised wishes (Though the winks they gave made it less than likely they would come true). Parting through them Devin finally got to the middle of the walkway and took a look around.

The heat of the sun could be felt in the air while the small street length meant the buildings cast a cooling shadow. Still with all the shine and glammer of the market Devin felt his eyes blink more than once as he got used to things. As soon as this happened a massive fireball erupted from a street performer who then seemed to cast a spell and turn the fire into different colors. Soon enough like a puppet master he made the fire turn into different shapes and dance around for the amusement of those watching.

More street vendor seem to crowd around the fire show though these carried with them goods for those hungry or thirsty. Not wanting to get lost he looked around at the others and then back at the map. As soon as he did this the vendors gathered around this time armed with a helpful hint to the best shops, all seemed to be ran by their cousin or family. The noise got louder and louder until Devin put the map away again. "I think we should save the map for only in times of great need..." He said to the group. I remember we go left out the shop. Anyone remember what was after that?"

I know my character is ready for class and seems like a few others are! Anyone have any guesses on what day one will bring?

CANCELLED.

I am willing to try and stay, but this is moving and is a little larger in post size then I was expecting. Would be happy to stay as a side character who comes in and out when people need him to. That said I know I can not be a full regular.

Not sure what is going on but thank you for the opportunity. Hope for the best with this role play!

So I wasn't sure how we wanted to do a time skip so I tried to let my post pull everyone into a single timeline moment aka the house time announcement.

Basically you can do whatever it is in your post; however, everyone in the house at 7:15 AM will hear the smart house alarm announce that it is 7:15 AM. Your post for what happens before that can go on a long as need be (perhaps your character has a very long conversation with their self?

Also if you want to have your character interact with Devin feel free to control him to a degree. I actually add in my post how he was interacting with people if they stopped by the kitchen. Feel free to add a little more if you want. I can review and let you know if it is anything odd or whatever. That said I am not that worried unless one of you know his deepest darkest secrets.

Devin was dripping sweat by the time they had returned to their building. In more than a few spots the cliff side was more mountainous than expected and the hills had given him and Jake a hard fought battle. The two never got competitive; however, neither gave an inch as normal male egos always crawl into the work out. Taking his water bottle which he had left by the door and his towel he gave Jack a good nod of the head and said "Good run man. Same time tomorrow?"

He then followed up with a goodbye and the two made their own way inside. After walking in Devin saw a few people were awake. He saw dishes thrown about the kitchen and several dirty coffee mugs. He then made his way to his room and then the shower. Coming out not 15 minutes later he felt completely refreshed and ready for whatever the day was going to throw his way. Walking back to his room and then to the kitchen he found some basic makings for a quick eat and started on it.

As everyone continued to wake up and get ready each of them could count on seeing Devin in the kitchen cooking or later consuming a bowl of oatmeal. He may have been a little too generous with the brown sugar, but all in all it was no different than the breakfast cereal he would have eaten if he was home. He would give them a simple friendly nod along with a "good morning" Those who he remembered he would toss a name in as well and those he didn't he would reintroduce himself.

While starting to clean up Devin found a small packet in one of the drawers. The packet seemed interesting enough as it looked to be some type of manual or walk through. A quick skim of the first page told Devin that he was holding the owners manual of the smart home system installed in the dormitory. A few pages in he started to get some fun ideas and began to play around with it.

Within minutes Devin was getting the smart house to tell him what the weather was going to be like (Cold and wet in the morning with possible sun in the afternoon.) Along with telling a few jokes and even singing. Finally he got a little bored and left the leaflet out for the others. He also set the house to start playing music in the Kitchen.

"The time is now 7:15 AM" the house suddenly spoke.

"Shit I thought I set it to only notify me in the kitchen!" Devin thought. Instead he had made the alarm a house wide announcement so it rang out in every room. Still the alarm did its job and Devin figured he should go back to his room and grab his books. He bounded up the stairs and into his room where he emerged a minute later with the school uniform on and his messenger bag full of his school supplies.
