Hello! I'm Yankee.
I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc.
I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic stories. I love fluff and whump in equal measure (well... maybe whump a lil more)
I enjoy creating original characters for RP, but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games!
On that note I like comic books, cartoons, and videogames. I'm also very into cosplay and art!

I am a very slow writer, so my preferred posting pace is once per week or less. I usually post on weekends.
I like to have fun while writing, so I prefer relaxed partners who don't take things too seriously.
Remember: fiction =/= reality.

Feel free to PM me if you like,
however I do not check PMs immediately. Might take me a day or two... or ten to get back to you.

Forward all complaints to @stone

Oho a gauntlet user! Nice.

As for your question, Bel probably gonna have some introspection and maybe meet with the Prince, depending on what exactly the situation is when we all regroup.
Tiring but fun!

There was a noticeable pep in the Cadet's step as he made is way from the Guild Hall, a copy of the quest posting in hand. Capture wigglers, a classic! Not to mention, finally something he was familiar with. It didn't matter that someone else had already accepted the quest, he was just happy to take it - not to mention maybe they could split the reward! Or, he could finish it if this mystery other person failed.
He'd been weirdly calm since whatever happened... well, happened. In fact, most people hadn't seemed to care at all. The same went for Ace Cadet of course. He had spent the last few days doing whatever odd jobs he could find, building up his zenny stash from scratch. He wasn't usually a hoarder of wealth, but he needed to hold on to it until he could find a proper blacksmith that wouldn't give him a weird look when he dumped a pile of scales, bones, and internal organs on their table and said "make me a suit of armor from this, please!"
Really, he was so pleased today he hadn't even been bummed that the lovely Guildmarm had completely ignored him yet again. When he spotted that quest in the Coral Highlands, he absolutely jumped at the chance - and so, now found himself in the strange, aquatic looking environment. He spent a few minutes just basking in the sunlit areas of the place before getting to work. Wigglers... wigglers... The quest says South but I should remember exactly where... He scratched his head, staring at the quest posting. South. Really specific. Now that he looked more closely at the words, it mentioned a net. Agh, his slinger! He didn't have it. He was so eager to get out to the area he hadn't bothered to bring anything with him. His master would be so disappointed. Still, it was just some wiggler catching. He could probably just grab them with his bag. Stealth wasn't exactly his forte, but he'd be damned if he messed up a quest like this!

Ace Cadet moved on, headed South, sticking to the edges of the cliffs and peering down to spot anything of interest. Sometimes, there was a nasty smell that drifted up from the Rotten Vale directly below the area, but that wasn't the case now. The Vale probably wasn't even physically here, in this world. At least not yet. Eventually, the sound of someone's voice reached the Cadet's ears. The other quest taker, maybe? Curious, he jogged a little further ahead and peered down the cliff at the source of the noise. A human dressed in some pretty interesting clothes, with some kind of big bird-thing... and a Tzitzi-Ya-Ku! Score! Surely even the most inexperienced blacksmith could make something out of a proper monster! The Cadet grinned to himself and was about to jump down when he noticed the stranger approach the bird wyvern with something in his hand. That definitely wasn't the way to get a monster to eat some drugged meat.

Wait a minute. Those clothes, the weird way he was acting, his total lack of (visible) weapon... this guy... he was...!

...a total newb!

Ace Cadet held a hand up to his mouth to stifle his laughter. Yeah, this amateur was just asking to cart. He shouldn't laugh though, everyone had to start somewhere - hell, even he was a pretty poor excuse for a hunter before the Ace Hunters took him in. Something else came to his mind too: were there even felynes around to save hunters in the midst of battle? He thought back over the last few days, trying to remember if he'd seen any. He didn't think he had, besides the chef. Without those brave cats to run out into the fray and dump injured hunters onto their carts to bring them to safety, the danger-level of even weak monsters jumped up pretty high. I better help out then! Cadet thought, standing up straight and making sure all his gear was properly attached, preparing to jump from the cliff.

"Hey!" Cadet called out to the man below, trying to get his attention. "I'd cover my eyes, if I were you!" With that, the young hunter jumped from the cliff, rolling his body as soon as he landed and brandishing his weapon on the Tzitzi-Ya-Ku's flank.

Master: Mercedes

Workshop, City Outskirts, Tokyo | Night One

Mercedes nodded, her posture relaxing just a little bit at Archer's assurance that his lack of speech did not equate to a lack of power. "Good," she acknowledged, her placatory grin melting into a more genuine one. All in all, she felt pretty lucky to have summoned Archer. He was a nice guy, and it seemed their skill sets meshed well together. She jotted down the notes Archer had given her about potential bases, wholeheartedly agreeing. Though she supposed some pairs would avoid public transit, Tokyo was a big city - sometimes it was unavoidable if you needed to get somewhere quickly but unremarkably.

As Archer filled her on the progress and findings of his hounds, she also made mental notes of that information. Two servants battling in a park, both bulky blondes. One, unmistakably the Rider class servant of this war. By the tower, a servant with some kind of dangerous ranged ability, though they hadn't seen the spirit in question. The scent of a magus with many familiars... that seemed familiar.

As the night continued, Mercedes felt herself drifting off much earlier than she had planned. Were Archer's hounds that much of a mana drain for her? Are my magic circuits really so out of shape? she thought to herself, making light of it. The man had manifested twenty huge dogs, and sent them running all over the city to collect information. Supporting them - and a servant on top of that - might prove a little more difficult than she'd first thought. I'll live, she thought, her last before drifting off to sleep at the table. Whether this was true remained to be seen.

Workshop -> Around Tokyo | Day Two

Mercedes awoke much later than she normally did, blinking her eyes open and furrowing her brows. She had no issue recalling the events of the last night - summoning a servant, Archer, planning strategies with him, and dispersing his hounds - but she really hadn't expected to be so tuckered out by them. The long sleep had recovered most of her mana, especially after Archer had dismissed the hounds at some point in the night, but she knew she would have to take it a little easier tonight. Today, though, they had work to do.

The young woman stood, stretching her arms over her head and looking about for her ancient partner. Today they'd be traveling into the city while she arranged for some new places to operate out of. She was fond of the workshop they were currently in, and particularly glad they'd used it last night when the other pairs had seemed to jump at their eagerness and all met for battle. They'd learned a lot of information in relative safety thanks to Archer's noble phantasm. Although, they'd also let some know about the existence of the hounds. Someone, presumably a servant, had even managed to kill one without being seen - most likely the Assassin class.

"Archer," she addressed, somewhat sheepishly, "Look at me, worrying about whether you could use your noble phantasm properly last night when the real issue is gonna be me." It had taken it's toll on her, but she was confident she could bear it. "But don't worry about me. Use it to your heart's content." After all, they would need to use it if they wanted any serious chance at winning this war.

With that, Mercedes got to preparing to leave. She gathered anything particularly important, including her notes about potential masters. Just before she fell asleep last night, one had come to the forefront of her mind during Archer's reports. Nakahara Daisuke, a master of familiarcraft, though familial reject. Well, it only made sense that someone with a magic so focused on familiars would want to acquire a servant. Mercedes communicated this to Archer as she went about the room doing her final sweep, drawing runes on the walls and on the back of the door. One set of runes served as a very weak bounded field, visible to even the most junior magus. The second set were explosive in nature, crafted to resonate only with Mercedes' (and by extension, her familiar Archer) mana. They would detonate should someone that wasn't their creator walk into the room. It probably wouldn't do very much damage to a servant, but a cocky master? They'd be obliterated. The runes outside she reworked, making the small shed looks completely uninviting to any layperson. This way, if any mage had sensed the mana hole that was this workshop and came snooping... well.

With that, they were off into the city proper. Mercedes very much doubted that any of the masters would be doing a lot of moving during the day, especially those whose servants had been fighting. She found it more difficult to move herself after last night. Still, she had a pretty good pain tolerance, and found herself consuming a lot of food and bitter drink throughout the day. She visited the site of Laelaps' death, taking care to mask not only her presence as much as possible, but also her facial features - with a small rune physically drawn on her cheek that could easily be mistaken for a tattoo to the untrained eye. Inside, she placed her magic cards in the crook of doors, warding people away. She made the visit quick, making a circle with her hand and drawing a rune inside with her other, holding the circle up to her eye as a means to see the vestiges of mana leftover from last night. It was easy to distinguish the mana of different magi. Two mages, just as the hound had reported, though it had seen neither. Hm hm, if we play our cards right, we might be able to find both, she thought, letting the words drift to Archer through their telepathic bond. We can't confirm it just yet, but I'm sure one of these mages was Nakahara. There are no signs of a fight here, so they both left alive. If they meet up again tonight... she trailed off, though there wasn't any need to finish her thought. With Archer's help, it would be possible to track Nakahara through his familiars.

Base by the petshop, Tokyo | Night Two

The delay in waking had pushed back her plans a bit, but ultimately she had acquired two new bases. One was in view of Tokyo Tower, the site of most of the activity. It was a fallen leyline, and even though last night had drawn so much activity, she surmised that the temptation for traditional magi to claim such a source of power would be too strong to keep all of them away. The base was about a mile away, though with a servant's superior senses, Archer would have no problem seeing the area from the base. The new safehouse wasn't the most well fortified, as Mercedes had to compromise given her lessened amount of time during the day. She would have chosen one a bit closer to the tower, but the room was just nearby to the train station serving as access to the area - travel hub, as Archer had suggested. Barely. Really though, it was the best she could do for the day.

The second new base was a little hole in the wall, unassuming, and drawn up with concealment runes and bounded fields from the inside out. If her assumption that the familiarcraft magus was one of the masters in this war, then this - the largest animal seller in the immediate area, just down the block - would be the best place for him to hole up. If her hunch was wrong, then she and Archer could just move to the base closer to the station, gather more info and all in all have a boring night. If it was right, though... well, there were a lot of possibilities.

And so, Team Archer found themselves in the small room tonight, waiting. Most of hunting involved waiting, and she didn't mind it. She idly infused her deck of cards with new spells, and on a whim flipped on over for a reading: Ten of Hearts.

"Ready to go on the hunt tonight, Archer?"

Night | Storm Pillar Estate | with: Gerard @ERode

Maria listened politely as the other two pillars said their piece, though she felt a head ache begin to surface when the Spirit Pillar opened her mouth. This wasn't unusual, it had some to the point that Maria almost expected to leave such meetings with a dull pain in her temple from listening to the young woman's foul mouth - and worse, if she and the Storm Pillar got into a shouting match. Speaking of, as the elder man was wrapping up the meeting, the Sister swiftly stood to leave before it completely erupted into an argument between them. She nodded to Arashii as he tasked each of them with certain duties.

"With pleasure," she replied softly. Oh yes, she and her group would continue to flush out and exterminate demonkind with zeal. What the Storm Pillar said was true, if there were another demon that could spawn more of their ilk... if they couldn't root it out... No, such thoughts were useless. Humans would eventually prevail, there was no other option.

As the slayers under the Storm Pillar stood, Maria took this chance to look over them - and the room's other occupants as well - once more. Though she chose to believe in the good in people, anyone of them could be a traitor, willing or otherwise. The River Pillar's public defection could serve as a diversion for spies to move about during the chaos, especially considering the situation with the kasugai crows would take a few days to get under control. Though she studied them, she didn't come to any conclusion. Really, they looked the same as ever - little more than human dolls. It was a shame. Her eyes made their way over to the Storm Pillar's young tsuguko. The boy was shaping up to be just the same as Arashii. Also a shame. Though there was time yet, and the current situation would prove more than anything what kind of leader he may become.

"I will take my leave, then. Send word if you have need of me ♥" the sister told the room at large, making a short and shallow bow and going to the door. She as she did so, her large companion walked in. Her eyes flickered from his face to his feet, where his outdoor shoes were still clearly on. Really not making any friends, huh Gerard?

"Something like that, yes," she told him in Japanese, taking care to speak a little more slowly than she normally would. She moved past him and stood under the overhang, smiling at the gathered slayers outside. She glanced back at Gerard and spoke. "We have a long trek back, I will explain everything in detail on the way." After a beat she said, in English, "<<Since you came inside, make sure to greet the master of the house~♥ It's only polite.>>"

She left Gerard to do just that, walking to the other end of the eve and holding her arm out into the rain. After a few moments, her personal crow alighted onto it. She took the scroll reel attached to it's leg jotting down a message intended to reach her estate far faster than she herself would. As she wrote, she thought again of the other pillars. Her feelings about Arashii and Yuu were clear to all, and though she wasn't particularly fond of either one, she would never think them as traitors to their cause - but then again, she hadn't considered Tamagawa capable of it either. If anything, she figured that Kikumi was the most likely of any of them to betray the Corps, what with the mask she always wore and her tendency to avoid the sister.

She sighed and rolled the message up, letting the crow fly off.

Night | Itoshi Estate | Message for: Jun @SilverPaw

The beef up in security had some staff and residents of the estate worried, but for the most part this remained unchanged. Little whispers between low ranking slayers were mostly about Jun's bossiness while the estate's master was away, as per usual. They knew she did a good job of things on top of being a talented slayer, but most of them had heard stories or had personal experience with the Breath of Flames user that was less than pleasant. Some were simply rubbed the wrong way by her arrogance, but it was a well earned arrogance.

One such person who didn't quite care for Jun was the former tsuguko of the estate, who approached the gate and looked up at Jun. The rain didn't seem to bother her as she called up to the other girl, her voice barely carrying above the rain.

"What's going on, Sakai?" Aiko's lack of honorific was not from familiarity, a fact they both knew. "The foreigners are getting worried." Aiko's eyes were then drawn away from Jun's face to some spot behind it, as she spied a crow making it's way straight for the redhead. The young woman sighed and crossed her arms, correctly assuming the Love Pillar had sent word to Jun. The crow squawked loudly, flapping it's wings around Jun's face before perching and sticking it's leg out. The bird looked miserable and like it wanted to get this message thing over with as quickly as possible.

The Love Pillar did not take into account the red headed woman's knowledge of the good book or lack thereof, but there were plenty of places in the estate she could decipher the message's meaning if needed.

Actually, we've already encountered the Guildmarm in Lumbridge, so that's probably a wasted slot. Plus, I allow players to edit their kindred spirits until one of them appears in the story, so that would mean you couldn't even change the other two. Feel free to replace that kindred with another, and I'll go ahead and PM you in the meantime.

Oops! I'm still not quite caught up with the story (but am reading through it)! In that case I'll just drop it back down to two and if I ever think of another before either one is encountered, I'll talk it over with you!
Rad-alos! Thank you! I've moved it over. Just letting you know I tacked on a 3rd kindred spirit in the form of the Guildmarm.

Hope you don't mind another potential new-comer so soon! I just read Oasis' sheet and kiiiiinda reconsidering my character since they fill pretty much the same role, but... maybe they might make a fun team? Let me know if there are any errors or things I should change! I tried condensing the background down as much as possible while still covering all the bases.
