Hello! I'm Yankee.
I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc.
I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic stories. I love fluff and whump in equal measure (well... maybe whump a lil more)
I enjoy creating original characters for RP, but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games!
On that note I like comic books, cartoons, and videogames. I'm also very into cosplay and art!

I am a very slow writer, so my preferred posting pace is once per week or less. I usually post on weekends.
I like to have fun while writing, so I prefer relaxed partners who don't take things too seriously.
Remember: fiction =/= reality.

Feel free to PM me if you like,
however I do not check PMs immediately. Might take me a day or two... or ten to get back to you.

Forward all complaints to @stone

With Frog's decisive strike, both enemies on their side of the Bismarck were down. With the much need breathing room, Cadet took a moment to regard Link and Frog. Altogether the three of them were stable, physically speaking at least. The hunter nodded to them both before looking across the patio to where the rest of the battle was taking place. It seemed like there were two Cia clones left - no, three? One was struggling, badly burned, but the others were tussling with Hatty and the swordsman... and another stranger, a woman this time. Where were these people coming from? Were they patrons at the restaurant that decided to jump in after realizing they were trapped or something? Regardless, more allies was never a bad thing - the whole crew had gone way over the magic number four a long time ago anyway.

With some of the restaurant's floor exploding into vertical columns of dark magic, getting a truly decent view was tough. There was something about the brawl on the other side hard to miss however, which was the red clone's ascent into the air and glowing with power. It more than likely heralded something bad.

The Cadet vaulted over the upended table, planting his feet solidly on the ground and throwing out his arm again. With the press of a button the slinger strapped to his forearm activated, shooting the cable and claw forward as magic began forming on the ground. With that much energy being gathered, the result would definitely be something bad! If he could get just one person out of the line of fire, it would be worth it. The Cadet aimed for the first ally he laid eyes on, which happened to be the largest target: the black coated swordsman. The claw snagged the silver haired man, and once attached it began reeling itself in quickly. It was not quick enough for the monster hunter's liking - some kind of resistance slowed the clutch claw down. A quick whip of his arm and shift of his grip and the Cadet snatched the cable with his hands, shredding the cloth lining of his kote and scraping the skin underneath. He yanked the cable himself, pulling Sephiroth and out of the mine field with a harsh jerk. What remained of the purple Cia clone came with him until she faded to ash, and once unburdened the claw's cable finished it's work. Now there were four persons on each side of the restaurant, for now. Surely it wouldn't remain that way for long.

Ace Cadet clapped a hand on Sephiroth's shoulder. "You alright?" he asked, hoping he'd grabbed the man in time and that if he'd been caught by any of the outer mines that at least it wasn't fatal. The explosions looked pretty nasty, he hoped that Hat Kid and the cat-like woman were alright.

Something else caught his eye that weren't the two friendlies - it was the blue Cia clone, having righted herself she was also preparing something big. The Cadet's eyes widened and he braced himself, on the verge of considering whether to run towards her to intercept or try and snatch someone else out of harm's way. At that moment an unmissable falling meteor in the shape of the Koopa King came crashing down. Unlike Sephiroth and Nadia, the two strangers, Cadet didn't even stop to wonder how he'd gotten there despite supposed to having been in the Dead Zone. He was just glad to see him, Kamek and Geralt right behind. In fact, beyond the barrier it looked like some of the others were there as well, and finding their own ways inside.

"Just in time!" The reinforcements would quickly turn the tide of battle completely in their favor, as it was already headed that way before they showed up. It was time to finish things with the sorceress.
Yeah, exactly what Ammokkx said. Pretty much everyone plays characters of different genders than themselves. There are also many, many people that like all kinds of gender pairings, I've seen no lack of other girls/fujoshi/fujin looking for MxM stories here. It's not so much you are "pretending to be" a male, but you are writing a male character. You aren't trying to dupe anyone into thinking you're male. Pretty different in my opinion.

I'm working on my next post now. Is it one secret per person, or one secret period? And if the latter, does anyone want to tell their secret, or should Laura take it?

Fine with me

It was a sound strategy, and the only one they had at the moment. Going on the defensive was just about all they could do while magic was being flung at them from every direction. "Got it," the Cadet said, giving a quick nod of his head while he fended off as many orbs as he could. He sped his swings up, forgoing the traditional techniques of using a long sword in order to just strike out as many times as possible, slicing and dispelling orbs - but still, more came. He held fast, gritting his teeth when the sorceress' dark magic made it past his blade and struck him. The hunter covered for Link as he set up their impromptu barrier, As soon as he and Frog were behind it Cadet made one final swing of his blade, then let it slip quickly back into it's holster, the sheathe clinking against his hip as he jumped behind the table to join them.

"If we're gonna focus on defense then we gotta keep our health up," the Cadet informed, dropping to his knees and already digging into his pack as soon as he was behind cover. He had his potions, and the healing grenade Kamek had gifted him, but in this situation? Lifepowders were really a hunter's best friend. He didn't know how injured Hat Kid or the swordsman might be, but in this small of an area the spores would reach them either way.

"Here—" he'd just produced the powder from his bag when Link's scream sent a chill down his spine. Ace Cadet whipped his head around, getting a good view of someone trying to run his friend through. Argh, that shadow?! I thought he was done for! He'd certainly looked defeated after taking an axe straight on, but that was decidedly not the case - and now the shadow's sword was aiming for him.

With no time to bring a weapon about, Cadet groped blindly through his possessions and grabbed something sturdy, bringing it up to block. Dark steel collided with the object, making a harsh metallic clank. Weary, the Cadet only just managed to stay the shadow's blade, the both of them in a deadlock pushing weapon against makeshift shield. The hunter's eyes flickered between Dark Link and the item he had in hand, struggling to remember what the heck it even was. Then, Dark Link disengaged, somersaulting backwards and already preparing to leap in and strike again. A perfect mimicry of their own Link's acrobatics. It dawned on Cadet just what he was holding, the memory of their first meeting with Link and the battle that ensued flooding his mind.

The shadow moved with a mighty jump, it's sword raised high over it's head ready to bring down on his counterpart. The Cadet rose to one knee and pulled his arm back, throwing the golden disc with all the force he could muster, all the strength he used to fight giant beasts propelling the trophy base through the air until it struck the shadow square in the chest. There was a brilliant flash of light, and when it dissipated Dark Link was gone, and something smaller clattered to the ground.

"Ha - it actually worked?!" Cadet was relieved, but it was only one enemy down. There were still four Cias to take care of.

An explosion shook the area, nearly robbing the Cadet of his already shaky footing. After it, the barrage of magic seemed to stop. Now they could move more freely while they had the chance - and it looked like Link was right, the green colored Cia already having closed in on Frog while Dark Link had engaged them from the other side. Taking advantage of the moment to breathe, the Cadet sprang up and waved the lifepowder in the air. It's soothing spores spread through the Bismarck quickly, healing all of their allies slightly. With their actual healer trapped outside of the magic barrier, it would have to do.

There, not so bad. Primrose lowered her spell casting arm, watching Fox finish off the roaders, and the rest of the group swiftly deal with the remaining enemies. All were turned to ash now, save one. Hearing the lamia speak was surprising, but then she did have the upper half of a human. If they could speak the whole time, why did the lamias jump right into attacking them? Or, perhaps, the snake woman's demeanor had only changed thanks to that strange energy coming from the Thieves' leader? Really, the Phantom Thieves had this strange mystery surrounding them, Primrose had felt it in the Pyramid and she felt it again now. That the group had some information they didn't feel like sharing. A bond they didn't feel like sharing either, considering they were about to strike off on their own again.

It was a little disappointing to see after their stint in the pharaoh's tomb, but Primrose had been like that herself not too long ago. Wanting to do everything on her own. Not trusting anyone, after she'd lost everyone. Even now, she had some trouble with it. She could trust the people here with some things, sure, but where it counted? With her life...? No, not yet anyway. She was willing to try though, her adventure as part of a certain group of eight taught her anything was possible after all. Including having putting her trust in other people again. Primrose's hand drifted inside her cloak, her fingers dancing along the hilt of her dagger, it's blade inscribed with the words she tried to live by.

While Fox talked with the teenagers and the newest stranger introduced himself, Primrose took it upon herself to collect the fallen spirits, doing her best to avoid stepping in the sand. This meant some awkward jumps from stone patch to toppled pillar, but with some effort she brought them back in time to hear the end of the conversation between two headstrong personalities. Honestly, being volunteered for something without so much as her input irked the young woman, but she would have helped Anne out anyway, so she kept her thoughts to herself. Well, verbally at least. She did give Fox a particularly pointed stare. It only lasted until the Phantom Thieves left, and with a sigh and a small wave Primrose saw them off.

"Try to stay out of trouble," she said after them, though it was unlikely they'd hear it from this distance. She stayed put to watched them go on ahead for a little while, but soon enough she rejoined the rest of the group, which had dwindled even more with Sectonia and Poppi descending the barrier again. The dancer stepped close to it herself, joining Fox and peering over it. It was hard to make out any real details, but if the "dragon" hunting group was in any danger, surely Midna would have flown up to them.

A moment passed and Primrose looked between her few companions, suddenly realizing that the atmosphere was a bit... tense. Fox, in the short time she'd known him, seemed all business - the serious type. However, Tora seemed the opposite. Something bothering him though, maybe the conversation they'd been privy to just a few moments ago? The others too seemed to be at a loss, milling around the area or making forced conversation with each other.

"..." Unfortunately, Primrose wasn't the kind of person to try and lighten the mood. And so the people already above the area waited awkwardly for the rest of their team to be ferried up.

Well it seemed luck was not on their side today. Ari had run away and Lew had, effectively, also run away. At least Magpie, who Ames had initially pegged as one to go and do their own thing and the consequences be damned, was still around. The warrior stumbled forward slightly at the girl's heavy greeting, but she did give her a grin in return, even if it was tinted by annoyance at the whole killing herself thing be brought up again.

"Yeah, thanks," she sighed, but she was over it now. Mostly. Mags' words helped, because it was true that just the two of them had gotten a lot done the other day. Add Amulak joining them later and they'd made a pretty good team. Now today they had four, still plenty even without Lew and Ari.

Make that five, as Klein appeared shortly after to give his opinion about the coming war. "It's not four months, it's like in a week," Ames corrected, although she paused just after speaking, gears clearly turning in her head. "Um, a week in-game time, I think?

Anyway, I agree with all of you. Definitely don't wanna get caught in the middle and griefed."
If Ames looked a little proud of herself about using some terminology she'd recently picked up, well, who could say. "I'm good with doing quests and leveling up. For the clans or whatever... to be honest I don't know that much info about them, only basic stuff. I kind of like Mora-Sho too, they're like underdogs, even if necromancers are kind of creepy... no offense," she smiled at Amulak.

"But! For now, grinding. I wanna work towards another class connected to that temple, but no rush. Also, since one of the other requirements I'm looking to do is go to the Blooming Springs, maybe we could head there are at the end of the night? It's a hot spring, might be nice to end on a relaxing note like that."

She hoped they agreed to that plan, it sounded like a fun time and a good note to end on if they were going to be busy fighting stuff all day first. "Oh, yeah. Here are the extra items from last time if anyone is interested in these too." Ames presented the helm and wig to those that hadn't been with them, and as usual they'd be pawned if no one wanted them.

So he missed - no, that wasn't quite right. It wasn't that Rider had missed, but that the spear hadn't hit her. How could that be so? With the mist disbursed for that brief moment and Rider's eyes unobstructed, he drank in everything he could see. The water, dark and stirring, and across it on the other bank the crater his spear had left as it tore through trees and smashed into the icy road running parallel to the river. The other servant's fair features, tousled hair, and her inconvenienced expression. The revelation of just how the attack hadn't connected.

The hint of a smile graced Rider's face. He didn't need to say aloud what he'd learned this time. She already knew.

Now how to proceed? Those that wielded magecraft could be tricky indeed, but surely she would be no match for him in a contest of strength. In that case the correct answer was to move in close. Rider took barely a step forward before the ground at his feet sprang into new life, catching him at the ankles and growing higher.

Ah... yes, tricky indeed. When he wrenched a leg free of the plants more quickly grew in to reclaim their grip on him. They were growing large, squeezing, but ultimately it was another defense tactic, not something truly meant to harm.

"Do you always play around like this?" Rider muttered, tearing himself free of the wood and vines with his bear hands and hopping back a few feet, watching them curl and continue reaching for him. By then the fog had rolled back in, and Caster was obscured again, hiding herself just as she hid her experimental intentions. It wouldn't help her. Rider narrowed his eyes, expanded his lungs, and...

He blinked, finding only the scent of flowers. Strong petal and pollen wafted around the area. Clever. It was only natural she'd learned something of him too, after all. However, his strategy hadn't changed at all. Advance. Close the distance... even if he was, currently, at a disadvantage. He couldn't easily locate Caster anymore, and she was waiting for him in the river, her element as it seemed. If he dove in blindly she would have even more of an upper hand now. Then again... wasn't that what heroes did? Walk boldly into the traps laid for them?

He moved, shooting past the rapidly growing vegetation. It lashed out to seize him again but was too slow, only scraping his legs as he propelled himself towards the river, and the last place he'd seen his opponent. He would reach her in an instant. He'd be in deep if she'd moved, or otherwise prepared a counter for him, but he could fight his way out of a predicament like that, he had to believe that. He could win, even in the worst of situations, and this was far from that. He was Bellerophon, a mighty hero.

He brought his arms up, his hands poised as claws to take Caster on directly - or perhaps in position to summon another weapon to aid him, but he didn't get the chance.

Another scent reached him, cutting through the frost and floral smells that surrounded the area. Sharp, stinging. Blood.

Rider cut his dash short, grinding to a halt and all but ruining the river's bank. Where he stopped at the water's edge fell apart with the force of his reversal, collapsing into the river. He'd wanted to face Caster a little longer, see what she could really do, but if his master died that wouldn't be possible. Now, the battle was over in one way or another. He was between her and their masters, and by changing course towards them she would have to leave her safe haven of the river, or risk her master's life.

In the next moment Rider was beside the dueling masters. Or, the once-dueling masters. That fight had come to a close, the Eastern woman coming out on top. He took in the state of Lauchme, the wounded and ruined hand that hand summoned Rider there, even if indirectly. "Already, master?"

Did he feel sympathy for his master? ...not really, no. The man had made a great fuss about how weak he was, and yet he was participating in this dangerous game. In the future, Rider would have to keep a better eye on him. Rider spared his master's opponent just a simple glance, but his hands were still tensed and battle ready. Compared to the man she'd just been fighting, Rider could rip her apart in seconds. But... it seemed she'd chosen not to be an immediate danger, and slaughtering a woman in any other circumstance... where was the decorum in that?

Success. The shadow clone was off balance and - Did he just explode? The Cadet was caught off guard by the Hat Kid's flashy move, thinking for a moment that the forge sisters added some kind of crazy element to this weapon and had neglected to mention it. Any disappointment about that not being the case was greatly overshadowed by the hunter's relief to see that the girl was alright, and that it seemed with all of them fighting together they had quite the upper hand here. There was no way that Cia and her dark minion could face off against the four of them - five counting the latest swordsman. With Link bringing his axe down heavy on his doppelganger, the Cadet could watch the aftermath of Sephiroth's attack and Hat Kid's follow up... and subsequently, Cia's rebound and the raising of a magic barrier around the area.

"Of course," the Cadet remarked, an uneasy grin coming to his face. Speak of the Deviljo, when the numbers were in their favor the sorceress had to split herself into four. None of the other colored clones of Cia were any less menacing. They shifted, and the Cadet brought his blade up in anticipation. Although hard to prepare for, especially without any real personal experience, he'd expected some kind of magical attack. However, the barrage of spells proved more than he could handle at that point. Despite it's longer reach and higher damage potential, the long sword had no defenses whatsoever to fall back on. A parry or counter would be of no use when the caster was across the restaurant. When the dark magic orbs happened to fly his way, the Cadet swiped at them with the sword, but for every one he dispersed, one or two more came flying right at him again. When the orbs made contact they were surprisingly forceful, stinging and pushing the hunter back. If they were the type of attack to leave bruises, he'd probably be looking pretty battered in a few hours.

The Cadet was forced back towards Link and Frog, losing ground as he slashed as many orbs as he could. He was deaf to the commotion going on outside the barrier, attention focused on keeping up with the multi-colored Cia's positions, as well as those of his allies.

"Who is this lady?!" Ace Cadet asked, voice rising above the din of battle. The obsessive sorceress was powerful, and seemed well accustomed to taking on multiple foes at once. He glanced back at the Hylian, the target of her twisted affections. "Do you actually know her, Link? What's the play here?" If they should focus on the unmasked Cia, then they should move up to help that white haired man, if then even could. Taking down her doubles one at a time posed the same problems, with the other clones able to engage them from afar. Cadet's focus moved to the green colored Cia, the one closest, deciding whether to brace himself against the onslaught of magic orbs and go on the offensive, or make a stand there and hope to bait her into coming closer.

It was no surprise that the rescue operation couldn't be as simple as interrupting the date. With Link now as still as a statue and just about as easy to move (as in, not at all), the Cadet turned his eyes onto Cia. Pretenses were dropped, and a sharp frown sat on the hunter's face.

"I'm his friend!" Ace Cadet answered the sorceress' most likely rhetorical question. Despite not knowing the Hylian for very long, the Cadet did consider everyone he'd traveled with so far to be a friend. Every one of them were good people and definitely didn't deserve this kind of "special occasion." The scepter Cia revealed was as sinister looking as her words sounded, but the hunter didn't back down.

"Over your -?!" He did falter slightly at her wording, maybe his cheeks even reddened slightly, but he stayed put. "You can't go around kidnapping people," he hissed at her, "Just stop this before somebody really does get hurt!"

Completely focused on Cia, Cadet didn't notice at all how strange Link's shadow appeared. He was concerned about the Hylian and the rest of the restaurant's patrons, he didn't even consider that the 'somebody' that gets hurt could have very easily been himself if not for Hat Kid and Frog's quick thinking. He barely felt the cart as it rolled into him. When he mirrored Cia's confused glance towards it, the amphibian burst into action, his tactic knocking the scepter from the mage's hand and freeing Link from the enchantment.

"Frog!" Cadet did have much time for anything besides acknowledging there newest comrade and providing a name for Link before Cia retaliated, drawing a deadly shadow from the ground. What is that?! The living shadow was quick and Link-shaped, and it was quickly joined by a second. With one sword shield user on his left and another on his right, the Cadet's hands instinctively went for the handle of his own Master Bang - however, he didn't draw it. Another weapon on his back practically sang to be unsheathed, and the hunter's hand drifted over to that one's hilt instead.

The Bismarck was in a flurry as customers and staff fled the scene of violence, and what appeared to be a random do-gooder jumped into the fray as well. The Cadet didn't see Hat Kid, but knew she must be nearby, and with the new arrival engaging one shadow and it's master herself, Cadet focused on the remaining enemy quickly spinning towards them. The Nightsky Ripper was not to be outdone by the long haired swordman's blade, and so the monster hunter unleashed it.

He took a step towards the initial Dark Link, pulling the long sword's sheathe around to his hip before wrenching the blade from it's resting spot, swinging it in an upward arc at the shadow in one motion. He hoped to use the blade's superior range and his own punishing draw to stop the shadow's assault and leave it open for his comrades to take advantage of.

Tora and the stranger came flying in her direction, and Primrose brought a hand up to begin channeling her magic, knowing the monsters would be close behind them. She spared the stranger a quick glance to make sure he was alright, trusting Tora was fine if not because of his own bulkiness but because she knew the benefits of her dancing. Plus, the nopon was up in no time, moving forward to taunt the creature again.

"You don't think it's angry enough?" She quipped with a sidelong look at Tora. She backed up a few steps, giving the nopon and their new friend room to engage. She didn't have any idea what a "Nue" was, but apparently the man was confident enough to take on the horned creature. That was fine enough. With Sectonia overhead and a pair of thieves nearby, Primrose thought they were in good shape. One of the snake monsters was even reduced to a spirit. Mona blew the reinforcements on wheels away, but when they landed they just came speeding back towards the group once more.

With spell already in hand, Primrose spun around with the intent to take on the roaders. She raised her arm towards the group, and bolstered by Mona's display of sweeping them all away at once, dark magic began to curl around all three of them. The hand wreathed in magic flickered slightly, empowered a boost from the caster, before the shadows began converging on the group of roaders with a whoosh and a roar.

"Night Ode, bring your shade," Primrose said as the attack crashed into the group of them, dark damage powered up. Even the brilliant sun didn't pierce the shadowy spell, the darkness only fading once the spell came to a close.
