@Remram derp, my bad, thanks for letting me know. Not sure how I confused that, but I'll edit my post.
David Wayne

@Sanguine Rose@CitrusArms

She hadn't seemed too interested in the Pidgey, but it was her loss. At least she introduced herself.

“Regan.” She’d been too caught off-guard by his display to offer more. Her Tyrunt nudged against her hand, “oh, and this is Kaebe. Isn’t he cute?” She smiled at her starter and knelt down to give him more pets.
Dinosaur Trainer

“Pretty cool, yeah!” David had offered in response. Not like the Pidgey though. Of course not. The dino didn't have the mental connection of oh right most people aren't psychics he just remembered. The man shrugged, then moved on figuratively and literally with the team towards the park.

It was a nice little place, with different Pokemon. The Machop was familiar - he had seen them at a place back home that always seemed to be under construction - but the others were new. The fountain itself was neat, and he helped Faye with pictures however she asked. He kind of wanted to splash around in it like he saw on a certain TV sitcom, but a certain Snubbull caught his attention. It didn't look wild like the other Pokemon he had seen. He wanted to ask something; another member of their group beat him to it though.

“Wanna see if we can get up on a roof, David?”
Roofer Regan

Having not heard the preceding parts of her statement, he didn't realize she was talking about a power outage.

“Great idea! We can probably find his owner from the high ground,” he said, referring to the pink Pokemon. Or was it a her? Whichever, really.

Turning back to the Snubbull, he asked it “are you lost? Would you like us to help you find your trainer?”

David would help the creature if it wanted help, otherwise he would simply follow Regan's lead in the building.

[Investigate power outage/help the Pokemon]
Hi! Unfortunately, a RP I was in ended, so I want to write more. Therefore, I am posting this to gauge interest in any of the ideas I have for writing. Please note that these should be considered "rough drafts" and therefore subject to change; heck, some of these I thought of as I was writing this. Also, I lost this when I was about to post it, so I had to rewrite it. Therefore, if anything is unclear, I would be happy to clarify it. Anyway, let me know what you think!

1) Search of the abandoned mansion - medieval fantasy RP

In this RP, people have started to disappear after they enter the small town's abandoned mansion. Therefore, the mayor assembles a squad of volunteers to investigate the problem. These are your character. These aren't epic sorcerers and warriors, but instead more "common" folk like a blacksmith, shopkeeper, or even a housewife concerned about her fellow citizens. Seeing how "average" people can be heroic is an interesting concept, and the prompt allows for a shorter or longer RP as needed.

2) Island survival - medieval fantasy RP

Your characters are your typical adventurer classes like Druids, Clerics, and so on just starting out. They have volunteered or been drafted to fight a war on another continent. On their way there, the ship they are on deals with a huge storm and everything blacks out. Waking up, your characters find they are the only(?) survivors of a shipwreck, and have very limited food and supplies. Now they must live, explore the island, and maybe even find a way out of there.

3) Superhero RP

The extent of my thoughts for this idea is "superheroes team up to fight bad guys." The tone here is less gritty and dark, more straight-up heroism. Maybe the writers can all take turns creating villains for everyone to fight. Maybe this could be more episodic at first, with a plot arising later. Who knows!

4) Collaborative writing - in theory, this could work with any genre

This is less a story idea and more of a different way to write a story. In this, all the writers take turn writing the story. Each poster will take turns writing; in the end what will result is cohesive and interesting story. All of the characters, settings and plot are made by all of the writers, each one building upon the work of the people who wrote before them. I've had fun and success with this in the past, so I figured it was worth mentioning.
Since the RP has ended, I guess I'll share some things that never got revealed in it:

-The plan was for Adam to destroy the bridge, thus covering the retreat. It was going to be a great scene, with some stuff I wrote and some stuff xenon was going to add to it.
-There was a whole piece of world building that never got revealed. The acid bomb plant was going to originate in the Crystal Islands, a massive archipelago of islands. I wrote a little lore about it in case it ever was relevant. There was also another plant I thought of that was like a coconut tree, except the water in the coconuts was poisonous. I hinted at it once or twice, if you feel like digging through the posts :P
-Second Chance was going to be arrested after the battle (post RP spoilers I guess lol); Adam specifically was going to be arrested at the orphanage. It was going to be a whole post consisting of Adam talking to Isabella and Eren, then the guards rudely arresting Adam. He would ask Eren to ask Areleth for help, leading to the orphanage people going to Capital City where Second Chance would be.
-Michael Fern was going to be revealed as the one who saved Adam's life when the latter almost killed himself while learning how to create the acid bomb. I hinted at that also; this one was more recent than the last one :P

There might be other things also - I can't think of them now though. This was a fun RP and I'm glad to have been a part of it.
@xenon that is unfortunate. That said, I understand why you're doing this; real life is more important than RP and I wouldn't want you to neglect the former. This has been a lot of fun to write and I wish you all the best with your life.
@Zapdos

Hey I should've clarified and for this instance you don't need to change anything because what you did was a legit thing you could do, but quick catching typically is just telling me what strategy you are going to use to catch a Pokemon and we see if it works or not. Again, don't change the post. It's just something to keep in mind in the future!

Right, no problem, that's why I asked you about it in the PM before I did it. I mainly did that for character reasons. David won't be automatically catching a Mew or something lol
@Shazamrock yeah, I got your drift. Whatever works! I kept my post pretty flexible. And the timing there was funny, yeah.
I think I will wait a little for Zapdos and Crusader before starting. And I like even parties when possible so I think Nils will join the sewer squad assuming Zapdos' earlier plan doesn't change! Then it will be three in the park, three sight seeing at the fountain, three underground, two out in the streets playing hero, and one Steph playing nice with the professor if I didn't miss anything.

Yup, my plan didn't change! Three is an odd number, though :P
@Sanguine Rose@Shazamrock@CitrusArms

After taking the picture - fun, of course - it was time for part of why they were here. Of course, that's not how David interpreted it.

Oh cool, free stuff! These people are nice.

That was what went through his mind as he got the Pokedex and Pokeballs. Truthfully, he was too distracted by a certain text message to pay very close attention. Hee hee, Nils has rabbit ears. Something about getting paid to catch Pokemon? Okay, he could do that. Beyond that, something else had appeared: a challenge.

"You came here with your pokemon already. Oh, and you, too, David-" Nils looked over at the enthusiastic older boy, beckoning him over with a nod of his head. He hadn't missed the fact that David hadn't claimed a pokeball. To the both of them who had that in common (and one other surprising thing that others were unaware of), Nils said, "I'm curious how long you've been with your partner pokemon. And... I was wondering if you more experienced trainers were interested in a little competition? I want to see how strong this guy is."
Batniling Trainer

Yes, this was way more interesting than a phone. David grinned, intending to accept the challenge. But then, Faye spoke up.

"Hey! So, we were going to head out. David, Nils, did you guys want to tag along with me and...-" she quickly checked her phone when she realized she hadn't caught the other girl's name before looking back up at the group - "Regan? Or were you going to set out with these two? Or with each other...? There's this cool fountain in the center of Grand Glory that I've been dying to get a picture of. So -" She looked at Regan. "That's our first stop, if you don't mind. But we'll head elsewhere where we can see if we can add to our team pretty shortly after that."
Picture Planner

Aaaaand he forgot all about the Pokemon fight.

“That sounds cool! We can do tourist stuff, yeah. Come on, Nils!” David gave the long-haired man a friendly slap on the back, as if he had already agreed to it. Either way, the psychic trainer cared more about experiencing the new parts of the world than taking pictures of them, but the latter was cool too. And even he could tell Faye was really passionate about this. Her interest interested him; people who were excited by their interests were usually interesting to be around.

When the new group of four left, the Kanto native took the time to thank everyone in the lab - from the typical workers all the way up to the head honchos there - in his own way, of course.

“Good bye, everyone! Thanks for everything!” he yelled as they exited the building.

On the walk to the fountain, wherever it was (he would trust Faye on this), David would look around the city. His eyes darted in random directions, until eventually they settled on a random Pidgey perched on a lamp post.

“Dibs,” the muscular man said to Regan (who probably hadn't even seen it), and he threw a Pokeball at the creature. The bird didn't realize that the sphere was heading its way until it was too late, so it was unable to avoid the object. And after a few shakes, the Pokemon was officially caught.

After this, David smiled and floated the Pokeball back into his hand with his powers.

“Got it!” He excitedly declared, then remembered “I'm David, by the way. Who are you?”
@Remram makes sense! I was asleep until now so I wouldn't have been able to.
