@Eviledd1984 that works for me!

@Redking0380 I was terrible with both of those classes, so more power to you lol
@Redking0380 cool, would be glad to see what ideas you have! TF2 is a fun game, btw. Pyro is my second main, after the Engineer.

@Cyrania and @Scarifar - right, I've been there. No pressure either way!

@Silver Carrot sounds good, no rush though! It's the Christmas and New Years season, so I'm not sure if it would make sense to start until the 2nd at the earliest. I can start sooner if everyone wants though.

I'll probably have the OOC up soonish, just brainstorming how much I need to include there vs. what can just play out in the RP.

@Eviledd1984 I like Maggie's CS and it's a nice concept, but yeah she does need more work. Just things I've noticed offhand:

1) "and other magical abilities" is really broad. I don't mind her (or any other PC) gaining new powers over time, but I would like her powers to be limited to a set list and defined at the start of the RP so that there are real stakes in the writing and some "unknown until now spell" doesn't save the day every time. The balance of the spells impacting her mind and body seems like a fun thing to explore though, so I don't think she's necessarily OP.
2) Why is her family stigmatized? Do people know she is from a family of witches? The background is intriguing, it just perhaps needs to be fleshed out more. If there are details you want to save to be revealed IC, that's fine.
3) Maggie is of course a shortened form of Magdalene; so she doesn't have a separate identity as a hero? That's fine if so, just want to clarify that.

Not trying to pick on you of course, just my thoughts on the CS as a GM. I appreciate you submitting the CS!
I appreciate the interest, everyone! The way I'd imagine the "rotating GM" part working is that I GM the RP as a whole, but when specific villain battles occur, the person who conceptualized that evildoer will GM that fight. They would be in control of them and their hero character; in advance of the battle, I would coordinate with them on ideas they had for the fight and so on.

Since we have a few folks interested, I'll get to work on an OOC thread. If anyone wants to get started on their CS, here's a template that I totally didn't take from another RP :P The setting is rather loose so far, but in case people need to know, Lafayette City is a large city in the American Midwest.

And of course, if anyone else is interested, feel free to throw your hat in the ring. And if you have ideas for villains, send me a PM so that the reveal can be a surprise for everyone else. The first battle will be ran by myself based off of an idea I have; the rest is yet to be determined!
You just got off the phone and have accepted a new job! Starting soon, you will be a superhero for the Lafayette City division of the League of Good, helping to bring evildoers to justice. Maybe you've lived here all your life and are excited about defending your hometown, maybe you transferred here for this job or perhaps you went to college here and wound up getting recommended to the League by your superhero internship program. Whatever the case, this will be a great opportunity!

Like the blurb above indicates, this is a superhero RP. I've been rereading an old one I was involved in and it made me want to write in that genre again, so here I am. To expand on it a bit, you will be on a team fighting crime - pretty typical stuff so far. I thought to make things interesting, we could take turns creating villains for the team to fight - a rotating GM sort of thing. I could create a larger plot within these battles, but I have nothing in mind yet beyond the initial battle, so input from my fellow writers would be cool. I figure this would be a cool way to create some fun fights, and if people end up having to leave the RP it won't derail it entirely. Or if nobody wants to write for the bad guys, I can just be a more conventional GM. Whatever works!

For powers, I'd say somewhere "middle of the road" in terms of "power level" - strong enough to let people do what they want creatively, not so strong that there aren't stakes entirely, yet not so weak they get overpowered entirely. These should be heroes that are accepted into a crimefighting organization, after all!

Let me know what you think, please - I don't have all the details of course, but am curious if anyone would be interested in this sort of thing. Thanks!

EDIT: here is the link to the OOC! roleplayerguild.com/posts/5643565
I can't think of any character ideas so I'll bow out of this, but thank you for including me and good luck with the RP!
I might be interested in this! If there's too many people though, I understand.
Hi, I really can't think of any good CS ideas, so I'll have to bow out of this RP. Looks like you have some great writers and characters here though. I hope everyone here has fun writing!
Very extensive OOC! I am still interested, I'd just need to think of a good character and weapon for this.
@Lyla nice to see all the interest, sorry about the food poisoning. Hope you feel better soon!
Intriguing. Not sure I'd be able to think of an idea for this, I'll keep an eye on it though!
