Belrigger tapped his fingers on the marble table as he digested the words. Surely everything said just now was a fanciful delusion or some other folly of a lie to lure him from hiding but there was a nagging doubt in his usual confident demeanor. A child brought from the heavens.. Could they be trusted to speak truth when it did not suit them? Surely the attempt at a lie was expected, and the guards poised at every way out were nothing compared to the boys skill.
Skill that Belrigger had trusted himself to give, freely.

"I will not presume to say i understand. It has been a long time since there was a cause that could rouse me from my place. My people. My home. All that you see is all there is left, and you will put your faith in the testament of a curse you cannot explain."

Rising from his seat as he stretched his arms and neck, Belrigger descended the stairs with heavy footfalls. Unarmored, unarmed, and unquestionably dangerous, he took to the floor just a few feet from Asthon and stared down at the boy with a mixture of pride and shame, as to what was uncertain.

"Every emotion you feel is a candle guttering in the wind when compared to my shame. Ths city abandoned me, Asthon. It took what I held with honor and dragged it through the mud, erased my deeds, and destroyed my name. Fighting for what you believe.." He almost spat those words, such eas his apparent disgust. "You have at least earned a warriors chance."

This city could burn to cinders and Belrigger, former Knight Captain, wouldn't have even bothered to piss on its ashes. The rulers and nobles were corrupted and dishonorable, destined to destroy their own holdings through arrogance. But his heart would not allow the idea of witches doing the job for them. Against such a foe, the Master of the Arena would die in defiance before facing his final judgement.
It would take a stronger leader than him to save this city.

"You will be rememberer, Ashton Brooks. Your name will be carved in the hearts and minds of every person who witnessed your defeat today."

Charging ahead, Belrigger bellowed a warcry as he rushed to crush the boys skull with a heavy right, coming in with a furious uppercut from his left. The strikes were devilishly fast for a man of his size as he threw an endless wave of strikes to test Ashtons defense.

Daizos reflection staree back at him in the mirror. Hair uncombed, skin pale, eyes sunken into his face like black orbs of endless night. The only thing that stood out were the red of his eyes staring back in disappointment. Against the odds he had gotten in and proved he had the makings of a hero but it felt like a lie. It was hollow and fake, like himself.

The knock at the bathroom door broke his concentration as he mumbled for them to come in, and despite his mood cracked a smile for his mothers shining face. She was in her late forties with graying hair and wrinkled cheeks but time hadn't robbed her of that infectious positivity she and her husband had.

"Ohh, my little raven. You look so handsome today! Mommy made you a special lunch yo celebrate the big day and- and-." There were tears in her eyes as she shuffled forward to wrap Daizo in a big hug. "My baby is going away! You'll call every day right? You'll eat healthy? I'll make sure to send you fresh food since I know its hard for you sometimes." Elissa wiped away her tears but refused to surrender her smile.

Daizo could only smile and nod. "Yeah Mom. I'll take care of myself.. You know I cant stay still for long.." his words sounded empty even to him but Elissa, bless her heart, saw through the emotions behind them and only squeezed tighter. "Just leaving for a few months, Mom. No need to be so cling- EEP!" She pinched his neck and gave a soft laugh at his high pitch as Daizo squirmed and flushed his face beet red. "Maaaaa. I have to go! I love you, ok? I'll.. be safe. I'll be kind.. I'll make you proud." Now it was his turn to tear up a little as they broke the embrace, Elissa holding him at arms length. "My sweet Raven could never do anything else!"

Daizo swept her up in another big hug, lifting her clear off the ground for a moment as he pulled her close. Mom never failed to put purpose back in his heart when the tank ran empty.
The two went about their tasks as he prepared, putting on his uniform and combing his hair, brushing teeth, and grabbing his two most prized possessions: The notebook containing every poetic scrap he had ever written, and the prickly cactus that was the only plant he knew that could survive through his care.

At the door he hugged his mother one last time and marched off to the waiting taxi, determined to continue overcoming his own quirk.

The gates of UA were packed with protesters, screaming their fears to the whole town, but Daizo largely ignored them. His quirk wasn't fancy or flashy so you could never know who was using one like his. Gliding past the front gate with slow shuffling steps he recited his poetic verses in a whisper as he passed, the negative emotiond it sparked in people was a miasma of invisible force dancing among protesters as they briefly ceased their shouting to grasp their signs tighter and whispwr their own tragedies. By the time anyone realized why he was gone, flashing his ID at the gate and mustering at with the others.

The first thing he noticed was the cactus. A massive one. It moved, talked, it even went to pet the dog person! Moving.. uncomfortably close to Seri, Daizo was looking between his own cactus, labeled 'stubs', and Seri with a mixture of surprise and excitement.

"Stubs! You've got family!" He whispered excitedly, having talked to his only friend so long he didnt even realize he talked out loud anymore.
What? I made a character for your RP and intended to play them with all seriousness. The very fact that you are attempting to silence me and my attempt at making a strong female role model is nothing short of a sexist attack on all women. Furthermore.

That is your very first post in your OOC. No information given on how you want me to submit my sheets. What did you expect me to do, mate, read your mind? Please understand that if you would like me to continue with my interest in your roleplay I expect civility and understanding from you instead of blatant threats. Please conduct yourself in a manner befitting a gentleman.
If you have any qUwUestions just let me know!
I put my CS in the character tab and told them to do it too. Hope its ok ^^
I don't understand. My friend can't join the RP with me too?

Wendigo hovered close to its handler Devora, moving about on all fours to avoid hitting the ceiling with its considerable bulk. The dozens of bloody symbols tempted the creature to reach out and taste the succulent red but ignored that baser impulse in favor of further protecting Devora. Its curiosity would have to wait. Lacking the investigative skills the others possessed it bent its every effort to watching corners and hallways for signs of hostility. Every shadow was an enemy, every doorway was a threat, and every being in the room could mean doom for Devora and thus Wendigo by extension. Even as a slave, a pet, however they called it, it would live on and fulfill a purpose.
Even if that purpose was to die for a human whos kind had burned its grove and corrupted its soil, thus its soul.

Purpose.

The stairway was cramped and pitch black but Wendigo showed no concern for itself, snuffing out the light with a grasping hand. The forest cared nothing for lights and darkness was the time of predators. Now was surely no different. Unable to lead the way, Wendy followed along in the center of the group till they hit the basement floor. Something foul was in the air. It was a horrible stench like rot but unfathomable to its sensibilities, at first believing it to be the smell from above. When Serene moved the staircase before it could, it pounced on the opening to fill the frame with its considerable bulk and act as the bulwark between the group and the others. If something meant to strike it would be now and its armor of petrified wood and bone would see it through any meager assault. Protect Devora.
@Elite Gamer My char is gonna be paired with someone elses. Is that ok?
Ito Kenji | Haruto Kaito | Takeda Suzaku

@Jojo@EnterTheHero

Kaito smiled along with his classmates, eager but nervous to the task presented, and had taken the liberty of getting his teams' purple ribbons and maps for the exercise. Each one was tied to their right arm and the maps were tucked away. With the brief explanation given, he was already sitting on the grass with his messenger bag by his side.

"I.. guess we should plan this out. If you dont mind me starting?" Seeing no objections he jumped right in, map laid out on the grass in front of him. "Kenji, first things first you need to hydrate. I've got some food in my bag, please eat something. Your little nap is clearly a sign of exhaustion so its precautionary."

Kaito took out a container of fried rice and a utensil and slid it to the bug boy, along with a small bottle of water to go with it. Another bottle was passed to Suzaku. While they topped up he detailed his course of action. Suzaku nodded his thanks for the bottle of water, sipping at it contentedly.

"The p-path, it loops around a large body of water. Most incidents occur around lakes and streams so it should be the first place we check thoroughly, barring anything abnormal along the trail leading up. We should stick in a line with Kenji leading, Suzaku-san pulls up the rear, with me in the middle. Can either of you swim well?"

"I can swim pretty well. And my wings can be used for propulsion, if need be," said Suzaku, looking a little proud of himself for this fact. "They're not physical, so they don't get all wet and useless- they can be used in just about any environment."

"Oh, thankz!" Kenji's eyes themselves looked like they were about to absorb the food Kaito had on him. He couldn't believe someone had something so tasty on them without him noticing until now. His antennae moved themselves to thoroughly probe each bite of rice Kenji took. He probably looked most like a bug when he was eating but couldn't help himself while he was hungry. He would apologize later for his mutation, but there were more pressing matters to think about first. The path they had chosen was circling a lake. He just knew that their rescue dummies would be a water rescue scenario. He had to break the news to his team somehow. He took one big swig of water, nearly emptying the whole bottle in one go, he felt much better now.

"Actually, about that." Kenji said shortly after swallowing his last remaining food. "I can't zzzwim at all. My exoskeleton has no bouyanzy. I zzink like a rock. I uhh don't go near deep water a lot becauze of that."

"You'll.. uhh.." Kaito sat cross armed in thought, trying to think of a solution. "I got it! Kenji-san, we need to get a big rope before we go. Even if we can get a big log. You can pull me back to shore quickly."

Suzaku nodded at the plan, wincing with sympathy at Kenji's buoyancy issue, or lack thereof. He pondered for a moment. "If this is anything like the Entrance Exam, the rescue won't be the only thing we'll be dealing with. One of us should be on the defense, in case anyone or anything tries to come for us while you and I are performing the rescue operations, Kaito. Since Kenji can't swim, it's only logical that he perform the role."

He looked at Kaito, eyes curious. "Now, if you don't mind, before we go on, I'd like some specifics on your Quirk, Kaito. How long does it last, how many can you boost at once, that sort of thing."

"About.. 15 minutes per use. As long as I can keep playing uninterrupted I can get a double boost chained on you both the entire time, but.. multiple uses in short order leaves you exhausted. Kenji had two hits of power chord by the time we were done the displays. You could probably get 3 boosts in a row before you can't move so I'll be saving it. Situational usage only."

Suzaku pondered this information- it was a damned useful Quirk, to be sure, if a little limited. "Hm. I see. Can you use your Quirk on yourself, perchance?"

"Sorry but.. no. It only works on people I touch." Kaito was scratching his masked chin as he considered Suzakus winged quirk. If Kenji lead the way and took point, and any subsequent threats that entailed, Suzaku would be perfect for a boosted retrieval of the dummies in question. Kaito, however, was basically just an ordinary person along for the ride. His usefulness was as a booster or look out at best.

Kenji listened quietly while the other two boys did all of the planning for him, looking quite impressed and admittedly nervous at the same time. So, like he always pictured, he would lead the group without actually leading the group. It made sense, even to him, for the bulkiest guy to take up the defenses and support the faster heroes in their rescue op. He only hoped that he could truly do this important role up to their expectations.

His antennae continued to probe the area on their own, not that they could pick up much in a big open area like this. Still he could catch a few whifs of the other students depending on how... assertive their smell was.

"So, we're decided, then? Does anyone have any objections or other concerns? I'd like us to be as prepared as possible for this scenario."

The explosion in the distance and the subsequent fire had Kaito on his feet in an instant, no doubt the others following suit. The test had begun. Based on the direction of the explosion and the red on the sky, their path was close to a fire. The announcement that whoever solved the problem would automatically pass was an interesting concept. Initially he thought that meant they just had to put out the fires but that would be next to impossible without equipment.

"Lets get a move on!" *Kaitos eyes were the only indication he was smiling. There was a reckless look to them. "If we're lucky, we can take down whatever caused that roar while we're at it."
