Dareen Kahina

above the base of the steps

Dareen tsked her tongue against her teeth. Yeah, he could kill her if he wanted too. Dareen decided to hold her tongue. It was frustrating though- usually those who posessed physical power believed that strength alone is what makes them righteous. Might makes right, the loser is evil and the winner is good kind of thing. A moral philosophy that seemed to prove itself correct time and time again. Her commander held these beliefs strongly aswell. But the Pruulish witch chose to believe there was more to life than just that. What it was, she couldn't tell.

It mattered not, for even though Xandar broke her nose Fatima seemed to want to protect Xandar, or have him be his subordinate. Ah, Dareen thought. Her initial reading was a little closer than she thought. Fatima was a queen. The caste system was truly a wonderful thing, was it not? It seemed Dareen's ribbing Xandar on Fatima's behalf was of no help or use to anyone and Dareen didn't want to piss of Xandar for no reason- dumb brute that he was. And Queen's were, well, queens. They spend their entire lives getting what they want. An upbringing like that makes it hard to maintain empathy, Dareen believed. Struggle is what bonds us all together.

Mikhail and Fatima were going at it in their boring monotone voices, and Dareen found it hard not to tune out. Faeril also mentioned a prophecy or something? The archer's thoughts we Dareen eyed the man she barely helped earlier, with the bow and arrow. He had given her a little wave, which was fun. It seemed he knew Fatima, and was carrying that corpse from earlier. It seemed he was another one of those Queen worshippers. It seemed the only people here to operate outside of this damn hierarchy were Mikhail and herself, and Mikhail was as unreadable as his hair was white. He had stuck up for her, but it seems as if the Dea Al Mon was a steadfast loner and isolationist.

"Well, whatever." Dareen complained to herself. Everyone was probably going back to the Eyrie. Shouldering her bow and re-quivering the arrow between her fingers, Dareen slowly made her way back up the steps. Whatever happened next, she would be here. Despite their various dysfunctionalities, these were the only people she had ever met that seemed displeased with the current structure of society. Leave, and Dareen would never see them again. Back to wandering. Something like this was what she was looking for- it wouldn't be easy but it was all she had. She could never face her commander again.

Dareen came to a stop outside the Eyrie. Xandar was chucking all the corpses off a cliff and had tied up some of the thugs that had attacked them earlier. Two of 'em. Faeril was probably somewhere inside. Dareen wasn't that tired. Her heart rate hadn't even increased that much- she was far away from the second fight and it was hardly one of the more stressful fights she's ever been in. That first skirmish was looking pretty grim before Xandar jumped in and murdered the shit out of everyone. No wonder he felt like he could get away with anything- he practically could. There was a hypothetical scenario where Xandar is humbled and learns his lesson, but unfortunately by the time Xandar is defeated Dareen is probably long dead. Unfortunate.

Dareen wanted to get out of the rain, so she walked inside, closing the door behind her. She took a moment to familiarize herself with the Eyrie. She ended up wandering back towards the room she had stayed in. Leaning against the wall outside the door of the bedroom, she paused and waited for whatever happens next.

@The Fated Fallen hell yes very cool force user

Akira Hanako

outside the pillar estate. student of Fushigi Yuu

Akira had followed her Pillar's instructions obediently, but clearly not happily. No questions? It was always no questions. Whatever it was, it was bad news, unless Fushigi reacted with "son of bitch" to good news, which Akira doubted. Still, Akira had a great deal of respect for Fushigi. Even though she could be a major bitch sometimes, like right now, making her stand out in the rain to fight some Wolf boy or whatever. Still, she wasn't a stiff or a pushover like all the other Pillars.

Then, after all that, it turned out she didn't even get to spar. Now they were doing something else. Perfect.

She tsked and crossed her arms when she was commanded to stay outside. "Fine, Fushigi-san. When have I ever made a fool of myself?" She asked faceciously, knowing that she had, infact, embarrassed herself many many times in one way or the other. Well, whatever bad news they were talking about, Akira was sure she would find out about it eventually. Fushigi had already vanished inside the confines of the building.

Leaning up against the wall, Akira's outfit was not at all appropriate for the weather, which most likely contributed to her abrasive mood (as if she needed any help in that). It was all black, her black hair was tied into a ponytail. Two large bangs hung down either side of her face. She was wearing a sleeveless crop-top and elbow-length fingerless gloves. Baggy, loose pants propped up a stiff belt that circled her bare abdomen. There were two long slits down the thighs of her pants, and they vanished into tall black boots. Grey, black, darker black.

"God, it's miserable out here. I wish they'd hurry up already." She commented aloud to the other students outside rubbing her face and then recrossing her arms.
Emily, or #2

Fort Hood, Texas, January 23rd.

2 caught the balaclava and frowned. These things were so stuffy, and messed up her hair. She'd probably have a rats nest by the time this was over...oh well. Rolling the soft material over her face, she took a moment to adjust it. Her eyes and mouth were bright in comparison to the black ski mask. Her brown hair smooshed against the back of her head and the ponytail drifted out from the bottom of the mask. No more glorious flowing hair, at least until this was over and done with.

2 smirked, glancing over at the creepy schoolgirl with the ominous face mask. It made her look pretty silly. Like she was pretending to be a bad guy. Without the mask, she could just be a creepy schoolgirl. "You look even more ridiculous than I do." She commented humorously. She used her index fingers to pull the mouth of the mask wide, sticking out her tongue. "Mleeeeh." Giggling, the mask wearing creature approached the window Akasha had motioned.

She smiled, looking at the flowers. Simple shrub roses. Easy to grow and maintain. Practical and efficient, and easy on the eye though unfriendly to unwanted visitors. They were being used at a barrier. Well, maybe they didn't want to be used as a defence anymore? She asked if they did, and like always, the flora agreed with her. They would much rather be used to open the window. Few windows are totally airtight. Common thieves tools would be unable to breach the small gaps that allow air to slip through, but obviously 2 was no ordinary burglar, and she certainly had extraordinary tools at her disposal. The roses grew, stretching and flourishing. They reached up to halfway up the window. Sprouting thin, wiry, almost invisible string-like thorns, the flowers went about their traitorous work.

It took a moment, but the organic strings worked their way inside. Carefully they slid, grasping fingers cloying for the plastic latches on the otherside. With two clicks, the latch became undone. The thorns receded and the flowers returned to their normal positions amongst the shrubbery. Like the red sea, the bush parted for the intruders to enter the house unobstructed.

"I'm in." 2 announced in a faux-serious hacker voice she learned from the movies. Thanking the roses, who assured her it was no issue, Number Two went to the newly unlocked window and peaked inside. No one in the immediate area. Quietly, she slid it open. Taking the initiative, the woman threw her leg over the edge of the window and stooped gracefully inside. Holding it open, she gestured for Akasha to follow her.

extremely interested...oh man.

but i'm already in so many other RP's. count me as a maybe, i guess. :(
@Vocab Since you're my character's Pillar/mentor, would you want to do a collab for some interaction between the two? If not, I understand. I thought I'd offer since I'll be online this friday-sunday
June and Mallory would probably want to go to the city, but they'd follow everyone else's opinion to stick with the group
