Connor stumbled back, the blow to his arm significantly damaging. A large crack sound filled the air, followed by several pebbles and rubble of broken stone fell from his arm. Connor stared at it. There was a large, snaking crack located around his joints. It could do definitely hinder him, but right now wasn't the time to sit down and try to fix it.

"Augh.." Connor muttered, raising a hand to his arm, wincing as he felt the crumbling stone. "You hit hard." Connor threw another fist toward the bronze plated golem. However, the golem caught the attack, knowing what was coming, and threw another punch at Connor's own large chest, knocking him back. Connor slid through the forest, beige dust billowing up around him and felling any trees in his way, before sliding to a stop. The bronze golem's movements and actions were swift and precise, unlike his more loose, swinging attacks. He barely had time to regain himself before the golem charged Connor, it's bronze armor gleaming and shiny metal arms Conor's stone thudding against each other dully. Connor smashed a clenched fist into the bronze golem's lower abdomen. The golem buckled briefly, and Connor took his chance to smash another stone fist into the golem's face. The golem fell to it's knees, it's hands flying to it's face. When Connor's fist came back, large chunks of bronze metal came with it.

The bronze golem slowly rose again, dropping it's hands. Clearly, it's face was rather badly disfigured. Bronze plating was cracked and dented, and a large chunk of it's face was completely missing. The lower abdomen was clearly badly damaged a large plate dented inward. Out of no where, the bronze golem threw another fist at Connor, and a massive crack appeared in his arm. A swift kick to shin brought him down to his knees.

The bronze golem brought it's two fists together, raising it above his head, and brought it back down on Connor's back. "Stay.. down!" The golem uttered out, clearly fatigued from the battle. Connor fell to the floor, a massive crack in his back. The bronze golem gave a kick, and Connor gasped. Another. And another. It was a bit overkill for a golem who was half beaten to death. The bronze golem attempted to give another, but Connor caught it midway.

Connor grabbed the leg and pulled it down. Searing, white hot pain flared through his arm and back as the bronze golem came crashing down. Connor grabbed a nearby tree that hadn't yet been collapsed by the subsequent damage of the fight, still trying to get up. Trees seemed to be rather handy nowadays. Anything really in grabbing distance worked. Connor attempted to beat the golem, but the bronze one grabbed it before he could and threw it aside.

There went trees. Time for the usual way. Connor knocked his fist into the bronze golem's face, and yet again, and again. Pain was flaring up, but he ignored it. Adrenaline would've been pumping through his veins if he weren't a giant living rock. The bronze golem's movements became less swift and precise as Connor beat the golem's face in. Each hit, more damaged was caused. Bronze gave away, cracked, or simply dented. The golem threw some of it's own punches back, but most were weak. Eventually the golem just stopped moving in general.

Connor got up, panting for breath. The bronze golem lay on the ground, dust settling around the body, collapsed trees surrounding it. The battle took quite the toll on him. The bronze golem was strong, didn't hold back. And it didn't get away without doing some bad damage to him. Pain flared up on his back, the crack groaning as he moved. This is what happens when you give to charity, Connor. He thought, briefly reaching for his back.

The dragon was taking some abuse after attacking me with that dark bolt, both from Elena, and from some new guy who had Chance's sword.. who had cut a wing, resulting in a (somewhat hammy) roar of pain from the dragon. The new guy seemed to be... a sort of... um... black and red slime dragon? Honestly, if he hadn't attacked the enemy, I would have assumed he was in league with them, given that they both seemed to have just about the same colors... and so did the new guy. As Elena attacked the dragon with some sort of pressurized water attack, I noticed that the dragon seemed to be paying close attention, even if he was in pain. The dragon then surprised the both of us by attacking Chance, who was now using his talons to fight, with the same attack that Elena used, but dark. Oddly enough, it actually seemed to damage Chance, though, not all that much. What the heck? Is he actually copying our attacks? I ask myself as I watch the attack unfold. It seemed as though he copied anything that was thrown at him, but two cases is hardly evidence. For all I knew, he could just so happen to know how to pull off those attacks... which just so happen to look like ours. Chance then did something I didn't expect him to, fire just seemed to form around him and he just charged into the phoenix, like some sort of madman. A few attacks that were thrown his way didn't seem to do anything as he continued his mad dash towards the enemy. One leaping uppercut later, the phoenix was down on the ground, obviously hurt, and now on fire. I then look over to the dragon just in time to see him forming a sort of dark fire around himself, and then charge towards me... heck, he even had the same smirk that Chance had on his face when he was using the attack. I, however, was ready, and flew up just in time to dodge... at least, so I thought. He stopped his attack where I used to be, and slid back a ways, only to turn around and fire that dark water jet attack at me from behind. I didn't see it coming, and, much like the phoenix, I was down on the ground. Why is it that Chance can use fire, but I can't seem to? Hm... maybe I can? I mean, after all, I am a dragon, right?
[Tony]

It seemed as though our golem took down the other golem, and the phoenix seemed to have the gryphon handled pretty well, which meant that now, I only had to focus on the dragon. Okay, here I go... just me and this guy... I think as I sort of stare down the dragon for a bit. He was doing the same, and seemed to have an absolutely evil look in his eye while doing so. His red scales shined in the sun as he jumped towards me to attack, and I quickly put up another wall of stone... except... I had some sort of idea with this one. After a little bit, I sort of willed the wall to crack, and then break into a bunch of tiny shards, shards which I then had fly into the enemy. I thought I would be perfectly protected while I performed this makeshift attack, however, the dragon seemed to just run right through it and slash at my chest. He now had several rocks stuck in his scales, and below that, of course. Some of the rocks were now stained red thanks to the guy's blood, a testament to the fact that the attack actually worked, however, I wasn't able to move out of the way of his attack quickly enough, and ended up screaming in pain once that attack connected. I also ended up on my knees, gasping for breath from the attack. I did recover, but I don't think I should take another attack like that. The sick, twisted dragon who was my opponent smiled at that, apparently pleased that his attack did so much to me, it even almost seemed as if he was laughing at me for my failure to get out of the way.

Elena saw the dragon was going and actually attacking Robert and the gang with copy attacks from everyone. How was he even doing that? It was bad.... if he could use the same attack as them.... She suddenly had a small idea, and then rushed forwards to the dragon, before suddenly letting out a rather large black out from dark magic, and then moving to the side, and kicking the dragon... which did not do that much damage, as the dragon looked at her annoyed and then grabbed her leg. She suddenly let out a jet of water at his face and backs away quickly. Well... seems even with this transformation, she was not that strong physically. This was embarassing to say the least. She then saw the dragon letting out a large dark water attack towards her, only for her to concentrate and then move the water and the dark energy around, and sending it straight back at the dragon. She then landed, ready to continue to fight, hoping that the group could bring the dragon down... cause she could not contiune forever.

Ralph and the gryphon glared at each other until a scream of pain broke their concentration. They both turned to see the dragon-bird, who seemed to be losing the fight. He had a large scratch across his chest, and the dragon was standing over him, laughing. Ralph shot a fireball, hitting the dragon in the back of the head. The dragon turned around, growling. The gryphon, seeing that Ralph was occupied with the dragon, lunged at the dragon, only to be hit by another fireball from Ralph.
"Nope. Not letting you do that." Ralph said.
The dragon suddenly flew up at him, catching him completely off guard. In seconds, he was pinned on the ground.
The dragon laughed. "Take care of the other guy, Mike. I got this one."
"Got it." The gryphon said, walking over to the dragon-bird.
The dragon placed a claw on Ralph's throat. He was about to die if somebody didn't do something.

Oh damn.

'Oh damn,' as in this really is a video game... or something really broken. Blah, the point is that I thought severing half a wing would disable the dragon entirely, but no... there was something sinister brewing. Not really brewing, but something sinister in the air. Literally. We could all see (unless we were colourblind and couldn't see black for some reason (which for the record isn't a colour)), that there was this black aura emanating from the dragon and phoenix. Was it providing sexual healing? I didn't know, but by the looks of things, you did not want to be under the effects of this stuff. Several video games, common sense (partially based on video games), and Noivern's Awakening teaches you a lot, even if two and a half out of three things are fictional.

"Ah, hell." I said without moving my mouth, stumbling backwards from the sheer force of the dragon diving towards... that hybrid. I squinted at him landing pretty hard on the asphalt. Oh man. We went from a guy's driveway to onto the street. I felt this little itch. Not a real itch, but more of the one we'd get run over, despite knowing that car's clearly wouldn't work without electricity. I gripped the sword tightly as the dragon began eyeing me like a dog. Both sexually and hungrily. Otherwise known as 'lustily.' "Oh FOAD already. You've got a missing wing, for goodness sake!"

As soon as he began looking behind himself and ignoring his burning companion, I started to run up towards him. I hadn't really exercised all these years, because I was confined to my room. If anything, my fingers were stronger than the average human's. I did the occasional jog inside my room, but otherwise I DID NOT expect myself to become rather fast and strong. Back on topic: he shrieked. Before he could finish off his death stare, I ended up tripping on the berm and bitch-slapping his snout with the side of the sword. I fell and splat onto the cracked asphalt, but at least I didn't go down as hard as him - he just comically fell onto his side, as if a 'KO' sign just appeared above him and ordered him to follow physics.

"Phew. Good thing I'm indestructible." I quipped. Not original (heck, it came from one of my video games), but it would definitely fit this situation. I wonder why Richard gave me all those donations, knowing I would just spend it all on pretty much useless games...

Connor stood, the bronze golem lying at his feet, breathing heavily. However, the battle was not over yet. Dragons and gryphons and various forms of creatures still fought at the opposing force. It was not a great battle, however. There were few participators, and the ones that were at each other's throats were not at all great or massive in size.

It was like watching two small ants go at each other. He was not completely sure which ones he should've been fighting for, or who was allied with another. He didn't have quite the time to simply ask which side he should have been fighting for, so instead, took a seat on the bronze golem's body, watching them fight it out. It was quite entertaining, actually, like sitting down to watch TV.

They were quite occupied with each other at the moment, and didn't seem to really notice the hulking brute looming over them, his shadow overtaking the both of them. The emerald plume of the Dracoavian was speckled with blood as he fought the dragon in a battle. The Phoenix attempted to help the Dracoavian with a rolling ball of flames at the dragon's back, who became angered and attacked the Phoenix, leaving only the Gryphon to attack the Dracoavian once more. Connor stared at the small creatures fighting by his feet, calling out in tiny voices with interest.

The Dragon had a clawed hand against the Gryphon's throat, a threatening grin on it's face. Connor stared at the dragon briefly, who seemed to be having quite the time. So, I guess I hit the dragon? Connor thought to himself, looking down at the pair. He flinched, his back screeching in pain, but stood up, brushing dust off of his knees and lap.

He walked over to the battling pair, bended down, and wrapped his stone, clumsy fingers around the dragon. He pulled up his fist slowly. The dragon fought and bear at him, roaring obscenities to him as Connor held him. The dragon just barely fit his fist; luckily, it probably wouldn't have if his fist was actually in proportion to his body.

He tightened his grip, but inadvertently created several large slits between his knuckles, and the dragon's wings were released from his grip. The dragon beat at the air with it's wingspan. Clearly, it was strong, as Connor could actually feel the air shoving against him, trying to pull him down and take him out. Another strong gust came from the dragon as it beat it's wings once again, even more air being dispersed.

The dragon's wings were massive, and even while his body was restricted, they could easily beat at the air with full strength. One more gust, and Connor's hands came loose, the dragon freeing itself and flying into the air, it's red scales twirling. The dragon grimaced at him, staring at the golem, before suddenly launching itself at it. It swooped by him, claws outstretched, and left behind long, etching claw marks across his side. Connor's groaned in pain, feeling the marks left behind from the attack.

The dragons stared at him from behind, laughing before turning back to the Phoenix. Connor hoped that the thing got away while he was wrestling with the dragon.

Eventually, both the phoenix and I got up. I quickly assessed the situation, and took note that the dragon was down, and hopefully for the rest of the fight. This allowed me to focus mainly on the phoenix, who was glaring at me as if he could kill me that way, and out of nowhere, he flew up into the air, and started spinning around as if he was some sort of drill. He then added some of his dark magic into the mix, and, despite what I might have thought given that he's spinning at the moment, he headed towards me with all of the accuracy of a heat-seeking missile, and with just about the speed of one, as well. I had almost no time to think, and that attack looked pretty strong. Well, looks like this is it... no, wait, perhaps if I copied that attack... I think as I take a deep breath, and fly up to mimic his weird, flying drill attack, except, instead of dark magic, I added in fire, and with the same accuracy that he showed me, I flew right into him, and in no time after my attack started, the two clashed. The sound was almost enough to knock me out, let alone the attack itself. Thankfully, however, before I gave up, he did. He was down on the ground again, and I, after finishing my attack, was ready to end it all for him. My claws ready, I take the plate and then... stop... my hands faltered, as if some invisible force was keeping me from actually killing them. "I... can't do it. I just can't kill them." I end up announcing to everyone. The plate then disappears, and a portal forms in front of me. Inside, I could see an almost endless cave system, with, unfortunately, spiders about half as big as I was. Where... is that? I ask myself as I edge closer to the portal, disregarding the fact that it seems to lead to a dangerous place, and could very well be dangerous, itself.
[Tony]

While I was preoccupied with 'Mike', apparently, the dragon somehow got his grubby mitts on the phoenix. I was going to do something, however, our golem, who seemed to be in pretty bad shape, picked up the dragon and saved the phoenix's life. That, of course, had me distracted enough to take another lightning attack from Mike, who still seemed to boast amazing accuracy despite missing an eye. He laughed at that, and, though it hurt, and I could smell my feathers burning from that, I struck right back by forming a rock from the dirt below me, and forcing it to fly towards Mike, who took the attack like a chump. Of course, I don't know anybody who could take a beach basketball-sized rock to the face and not get severely damaged from it, he wasn't quite down yet. Well, okay, he was down on the ground, but he didn't seem knocked out from the attack. With all the speed of a cheetah, he rushed right at me, and slashed away at me with his powerful, sharp talons. I was hanging on by a thread, now, and I had only one option left... I took advantage of the fact that he was on the ground, and formed a rock spear underneath him. It pierced right through him, however, it somehow missed his heart as well as the rest of his organs... he was knocked out and bleeding, but not dead. I then walked over towards the golem, and, seeing that he was made of rocks, I thought to use my own rock-based powers to repair the cracks that have formed all over his body, even forming and using other rocks to repair those missing chunks. He aided us well, and he certainly doesn't deserve to not be healed. I then climbed closer to his ear, where he should be able to hear me, and said "Thanks... oh, and, by the way, my name's Tony. I actually don't know who the phoenix is, but, would you mind helping him out? I can't do it, not in the condition that I'm in." I said this calmly, and tried to keep myself from passing out from the lack of blood... oh... right... almost forgot about myself in the heat of all of this... whoops.

Ralph felt the weight of the dragon lift off of him, and the clawed hand was no longer around his throat. He looked up to see the dragon struggling to release himself from a massive stone fist. He flew away from them, towards where the dragon-bird and Mike were fighting. The dragon-bird formed a rock and threw it at Mike, who wasn't quite down yet. He lunged at the dragon-bird, but ended up getting impaled on a stone spear that came out of the ground. This didn't seem to kill him, surprisingly. He was knocked out, though, which was good enough.

The sound of wings flapping caught Ralph's attention, and he turned to the source of it. The dragon had somehow released himself from the golem's grasp, and was now flying at him. He flew in the other direction, trying to get away. He went up above the trees, and when the dragon followed him, he shot a fireball back at him. This slowed him down, allowing Ralph to get a little further ahead, but the dragon was still gaining on him. Seeing the golem and dragon-bird down below, he flew towards them. He missed the golem's head by a few inches, and seconds later, the dragon did the same.

Flight was a curious thing; for one, Sandy felt that he'd been flying all his life, as though his body hadn't been swapped for that of some unknown creature the night before. For another, it was obviously connected to some sense that he hadn't really explored yet. It was like he knew everything about the air around him; where the best currents and eddies and thermals lie; to a degree it was like dancing; he simply had to follow the lead of the wind. In some instances, he felt like he had taken the lead steps, as though the air itself were at his beck and call, though he had no idea how.

It helped him forget how bleak the city looked below him.

He's already noted several collapsed buildings, and though the rioting in general had for the most part ceased, there were still several isolated incidents of violence within his line of site. When he got back to Marie, he decided, they would leave the city at least for a while. Sandy still had no idea what had driven these people to this madness; he imagined if he could ever return to his studies, he would eventually find out. That day seemed a long way off, though....

In that instant, he heard a loud pop from below him... He'd never spent any time around guns, but it certainly sounded like gunfire. Apparently firearms still work while existing electronic equipment does not... Moments later, there was a whizzing by his ear; the bullet! Whatever it was was shooting at him. He glanced around, quickly finding the reptile that had fired at him, the barrel of the rifle still smoking; he noted that it had cobbled together what looked like a suit of armour, but there wasn't time for anything more. He saw the muzzle flash, heard a second pop. This one was closer, grazing his talon before puncturing one of his wings. Oddly enough, there was a lot less pain than there should have been, but the shock of the hit made his senses falter. No longer able to feel the wind, Sandy started to fall.

His wings flailed as he ineffectually attempted to right himself. The ground drew ever nearer, alarmingly quickly. Wow, just how high up was I? Eventually, his wings stiffened, allowing him to turn his free-fall into a controlled dive, but he was far too close to the ground for comfort's sake. He thought he saw a cave as he pulled up in such a way that he wouldn't break his neck against the ground or a nearby building. Wait... What? He had no clue what a cave would have been doing in the middle of the city; he knew about the mines that it was built on top of, but the nearest entrances to that were miles away.... It was just one more impossibility in the middle of an already impossible day.

But this impossibility intrigued him. he landed hard on the pavement, but he'd pulled up just enough that a bit of a run would let him land without breaking a few bones. Only when he'd stumbled to a stop did he notice the creatures around what he now saw to be a hole in the air; there was a creature much like himself, though larger and bipedal. It was wearing more of that black armour he'd seen previously, making him step back cautiously. The others included another creature like Marie, blue instead of red, nother reptile creature - he supposed he'd have to put a name to these eventually - that was unconscious - but not dead, interestingly enough; perhaps it meant these people were sane - on the ground beside what looked like an odd fusion of all three. Sandy found himself reminded of exactly how small and vulnerable he'd become, now that he was this close to these things.

Everything he saw was a mockery of every law of nature he'd ever known. If that were the case, though, then maybe it was time to write new ones. "Forgive my intrusion," he said loudly, calmly, and most of all, politely while lifting a talon to point towards the door in the air through which giant spiders seemed to be anxious to pour out, "But what on earth am I looking at?"

Elena looked at the pheonix and dragon with a look of disgust as she pass by them. Guess that Robert still had his head on his shoulder at least. Not like those guys that tried to kill them. She growl a bit, before fallowing and seeing the portal. What the heck was that portal anyway? It seemed really strange. She looked at it, and saw the spiders. Great.... more creepy beasts.... She looked at Robert that was going closer and closer to the portal. Something seemed wrong a bit at this... but she could not just let someone that actually helped her just walk into danger. She walked close to him.
"I don't think... it is safe... but if you really want to go in... we need to be very careful. I have a bad feeling about this." she then says, looking at the beasts in the other side. She breath deeply. She looked back at the slime dragon thing, and breath deeply.
"Thanks back there for the help... Names Elena by the way." she then says to him.

I made sounds like a flopping fish as I got up. I wasn't used to being a blob, let alone a dragon. Did I really do all of this by simply typing out a few words?

Well. Better not mention NA. I'd get myself killed, or even laughed at. So anyway, I shone in the sunlight that happened to give everything it's colour. It was probably around 9 am, considering how high the sun was; enough to annoy people if they were tall. "Agh. I feel like a fish." I sighed shortly afterwards, shaking my head briefly to keep awake. The sun did just that, beaming onto a sword that happen to be on the asphalt. "Oh. Cool."

I picked up the sword, noting it's weight. It was rather plain, but it probably took a week or two to work on. (What? Swords aren't created within the time span of a montage. Go view real life, and then you'll find out why weapon shortages in the feudal period were as serious as running out of ammunition.) Nevertheless, it was better than nothing. Or at least slapping people with my floppy arm. Knowing how this reflected my... wait, it wasn't like NA anymore. Nevermind. But, I thought I knew the basic layout of what was to come, so I may as well come to help.

And then one thing led to another. Speaking of feudal ages, a phoenix clad in armour like a knight tried to swipe the thing from my hands, while I was inspecting the thing and pointing it away from me. "Hey! Let go! It's my sword!" Ah bloody hell. I couldn't let go. "I said let go! What's with you!?"

After he spaghetti my arms, we both realised he needed lighter armour, preferably Kevlar. Well, actually... "I'm trying! This thing's stuck to me now!" The knight decided to go medieval on my ass and prove science wrong. (I know that's not science, but I was going with a theme here.) And then, Galileo began rolling in his grave, laughing at the knight trying to disagree with observation.

"Fine! You win! I'll just craft myself another sword within a week, thank you very much!" Without doing anything, I had gotten myself a weapon. I should really start doing this to everyone. The knight stormed off into his garage which was filled with all sorts of machinery, dismissing everyone. Including the newcomer who had probably jumped through the hybrid's portal.

"Uh... hi... ya?" I'll be honest - I didn't like greetings. I took steps closer to the little group that had formed, going from threesome to foursome (don't get any ideas). "What in the blazin' heck is that?" I said, peering over someone's shoulder and flinching at the cave. I didn't have a fear of spiders; it was the amount of spiders that got to me.

"...I've got a million more questions, so can we can please not go through yet?" I asked, rather timidly.

"Hrmph." Connor grunted, the growing pain in his body fading. "I'll see what I can do."

Connor raised a long, thick arm to his back, feeling over the wound with his fingers. It seemed to have completely disappeared. There were still some faults located around his arms and legs, but the Dracoavian had done a great patch up job on him. He might as well return the favor before it gets shot or bleeds out. It's speech pattern already seemed to be slightly slurred, it's rather eyes heavy and milky. Connor stared at the dragon and the Phoenix fighting in midair.

Connor tread toward the two, who quickly soared past his head, an aerial battle. The Phoenix sent a broiling fireball toward the dragon. The sphere of glowing white flames exploded upon contact with the dragon's head, singing it's and burn marks already appearing. You're already in too deep. His subconscious whispered to him. Just leave now. You're in the forest already, you're safer now Han in the city, you have to go East now. Connor hesitated.

Usually, Connor wouldn't quite be the one to hesitate. He would usually quickly agree, as long as what he had to do was fair and he had the time for it. But that was before the damn apocalypse of walking blobs of jello. Connor held back, but soon decided that his subconscious could go right ahead and screw itself. He picked up a small, young pine tree, feeling the rough bark cracking and groaning under his grip. He raised it, gripping it tight with both hands.

The dragon swooped by again, and he swung at the air. However, he missed, and the dragon soared past him, trailing after the Phoenix. The phoenix's fiery orange plume and the dragon's rouge scales made the pair look like a flickering flame flying from an even hotter ember. Connor readied the pine tree again. Trees were always handy when trying to hit something. They were tough, thick, and durable, and always helped to extend the arm.

He swung the pillar of wood again, and this time, he felt the prickly leaves of the evergreen bending to the dragon. He managed to just barely damage one wing, and the dragon seemed to momentarily lose control of it's speed. It did a couple of lazy loops on the air before returning to it's more regular flying. However, it decided to get back at Connor by swooping by his hip, leaving a long claw mark across it before returning to it's chase for the Phoenix,

"Ugh, fine, what do you want to ask?" I ask the blob guy. I then realize that there are two things here whose name I don't know. Some sort of falcon-cheetah gryphon, and the blobby guy. "Um... if you were going to ask my name, I'm Robert. Oh, and, new guy, don't worry, I won't attack you unless you attack me." I said that last part because it looked as though the new guy was scared of us. Given that he was about half my height, that was fairly reasonable. Man, if Chance didn't storm off earlier, I'm sure he'd be jealous. peregrine falcons are his favorite bird, and cheetahs are his favorite big cat. I kinda wonder what's up with his wing... maybe I should bandage that, or something. I think as I look around in my bag to check for any bandages. Luckily, I still had the first aid kit that my mother gave to me on my first day of school... what a worrywart, but, at least it came in handy, as it seemed to have some bandages in it. No, not the usual 'band aid' kind, but the kind that's actually used in hospitals. There was some tape in there, as well. I took the roll of bandages, and the tape out of the box, and, as per usual for wounds that a band-aid wouldn't cover, wrapped a bit of it around the torn part of the wing, and taped the end so it wouldn't fall off so easily. "So, before we go, if anyone has any questions, just ask away... though, I'm not entirely sure if I can answer them," I say to everyone as I wait next to the portal, ready for any questions.
[Tony]

I tried to stay seated as the golem moved from his spot, and smashed the dragon with a tree. During the short period during which he wasn't moving, I tried to heal my own wounds with that weird light magic. Somehow, it seemed to actually be working, heck, I even got a shot off on the dragon's good wing... though, that didn't seem to be enough to ground the thing, unfortunately. He then decided it was best to breathe fire all over me, which actually hurt quite a bit, with my flammable feathers only helping my enemy's attack. I could have sworn I was bald by the time the attack was finished, and might have been done for had I not healed myself. "Agh... I know fire usually hurts, but enough to nearly kill me? That doesn't seem right." I think out loud as I try to not attack as much, just to make sure I don't take another one of those attacks again. I then started to heal myself again, though, it was a much slower process than it was last time. I hoped that it wasn't due to my strength depleting, which, due to the attack, might very well be true. The dragon, seeing that I was weak at the moment, then started to fly in for the kill. This wasn't good, and I knew I was too tired to dodge... thankfully, I was still sitting on a giant golem... perhaps he'd help me out here? I certainly hoped, but even if he was going to help, my life still flashed before my eyes as that dragon flew towards me, teeth gleaming in the sunlight, and eyes that matched its actions in their evil look... this wouldn't end well if I was still on my own.

Elena sits down slowly, and breath deeply.
"Names Elena. And ya... we won't attack unless attacked.... finally a bit of time to rest... dang freaken flying for so long really got me tired." she then says calmly, before looking at the sky, and then at her necklace, praying a bit. Whatever happen in this world... she prayed that her brother was still alive. Maybe one day... one day she would meet him... but with everything that happened. How will she even find him.... how will she know it is him... it was so much.... It was really a lot. She looked at Robert, then the portal. Maybe... maybe they could figure out how everything happened... how the world changed... and why. It was a lot to think about. She just hoped that in the end everyone would stop fighting and start respecting each other, even if they were different. She then think about it...
"Uhm... maybe I could have 1 question.... any of you seen someone with a necklace like mine? Probably not... but worth to ask." she then says. It would surprise her if someone did.

"How about names? My name's Miles Hall, but I really don't want to stick around..."

...let's forget I said the latter half of that.

"How about names? My name's Miles Hall." I felt as if my sentence got suddenly cut off.... "I... well, first we're no longer human, second we all fought off some insane bird and dragon, third we're apparently going to enter a portal and get ourselves killed. I don't really think this is a good idea..." I usually come off as a hesitant person. Sometimes, I get pretty euphoric or serious (as seen earlier), but confusion was the best way to deal with the world at the moment. "I just stumbled here from the hospital, since I had nowhere else to go and... well, nobody likes the north, and East Metropolis seems to be burning. I mean, you can make out that cloud of smoke..." I squinted my eyes as I began pointing at our cityscape, cursing the presence of high-rises with broken windows and yelling dragons as I looked back at everyone.

"Frickin' buildings blocking our view." Time passes by quickly. First we're talking, second we're into healing and rest. Sounds like my hospital room for the first year, before getting used to all the hair loss and false news of recovery. "Hm?" That blue hybrid got my attention. I was just looking around the place and spying on everything until I heard a sentence from him. A twitch occurred somewhere in my body, while I carefully watched his claws that could've shocked the bird. "Oh yeah. I think I've asked a few already, though." Then, I had to deal with someone known as Elena, a... er, unicor... rhin... just a plain dragon with dark colourations. I tried turning on my heels, but... I didn't have any. As said earlier, we weren't human anymore... oh well, turning with feet worked. Although it was a bit hard, considering how I was a blob. "Uh, no. Not while walking all the way here, sorry."

Then, I had to- wait. That's all I needed to do for now. That, and ensuring my own survivability in a world where society collapsed within a minute.

The golem had pulled a tree out of the ground, and swung it at the dragon. He missed the first time around, but when Ralph and the dragon soared above him a second time, the tree made contact, damaging one of the dragon's wings. He was still able to fly, though, and kept pursuing Ralph.

There was another gunshot as the dragon-bird put a bullet in the dragon's good wing. The dragon retaliated by breathing fire at him, which seemed to really damage him. Seeing that he was weak, the dragon went in to finish him off.

Ralph, who was currently flying above them, took advantage of the moment where the dragon wasn't chasing him. A well-aimed fireball was all it took to interrupt his attack and knock him to the ground, right in front of the golem. Now, all the golem had to do was finish off the dragon and this fight would be over.

"Heh, heh." Connor stared at the dragon, grinning ear to ear. The barrel chested golem reached his stone, boulder arms over his head, clutching his two fists together. A feeling of happiness rushed through him, through his shoulders, and into his two fists. This was beginning to get easier and easier as time passed. He could deal with violence more easily.

Connor swung his fists down onto the dragon's body. It's body's muscles convulsed, it's massive wingspan opening with a sudden gasp of air. A satisfying crunch came from the dragon. The breaking of ribs, he guessed. Connor stared down at it for a moment. The dragon's claw twitched slightly. It still had a slight spark of life in him, a small bit of hope.

He raised his arms over his head yet again, his hands closed together tightly, and brought it down. Another loud thud, and another loud crack. The dragon's scales got some significant damage done, the royal red scales shattering and cracking. Connor stared it down yet again, holding his fists together. The dragon lay down, not a movement within it.

Not a twitch, not another breath. Connor breathed heavily, waiting a couple of minutes. Looks like the dragon had been finally finished off. "Alright. That's that." Connor brushed his hands off on his legs. His hands were peppered with dried blood, and most of his body was covered in long scratches and bruises. The corpses of the the others lay flat on the ground.

"I suppose that's it for you two." Connor said, staring between the Dracoavian and the Phoenix. "

[Tony]

"Yeah, guess so..." I start to say, eventually adding "Wait, no. You know how society's all messed up right now? How people no longer thing rules apply? Well... I was thinking why don't we try to rebuild it? Why don't we try to make things at least as peaceful as they were before the averted apocalypse?" I, of course, continue to sit on the golem's right shoulder as I say this, and I try to keep my eye on the phoenix as I say this, and realize that nobody knows anybody here. I chuckle, and say "So, before we do this, it might be beneficial if we knew each other's names. My name is Tony, and you all are?" I then wondered, somehow, if these guys will be okay.... well, the dragon was certainly dead, but the others? Wait, why did I even care? Maybe it was simply because they may not have deserved death, and were still basically human? Whatever happens to them next will simply happen... I won't interfere, and I hope nobody else would, either. After all, if we were to restore order to the city, state, nation, or planet, we're going to have to move on from this, and probably never speak of it again. I wonder if I'll have to tell Mr. Golem over here that we shouldn't kill anyone we meet... nah, I'm sure this was just an isolated incident... though, I'll have to keep in mind to never get on this guy's bad side. Two and a half tons of rock falling onto your body isn't good for anyone. I think as I wait for the others to tell me their names, and possibly answer to whether or not they'd join me in trying to restore peace and order to the planet, and maybe, just maybe we could do something... heck, who knows, maybe in as short of a span as a year, this anarchy will just be a distant, bitter memory,

"Thanks for that. I probably wouldn't have made it if you two hadn't shown up." Ralph said, perching on the golem's shoulder - the one that wasn't already occupied by Tony. "I'm Ralph, by the way. Ralph Ivey."
It seemed that Tony wanted to rebuild society. As much as Ralph wanted to go along with that plan, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to pull it off with just the three of them. "I don't know. After seeing all that's going on in the city, I don't think that's possible at this point." He thought about it for a moment. There was obviously no way to take control of the city in its current state. He did have another idea, though. "How about we lay for a while, and try to find more people like us. You know, people who haven't completely lost their minds. Once we have more people in our group, that'll make it a lot easier."
He thought this was a good plan. He hoped Tony and the golem would agree with him.

[Robert]

The blob who had recently joined us, who apparently went by the name of Miles just suddenly started asking some questions, and I answered all of them as best as I could, starting with "My name's Robert, and I have no idea who this guy is," I then point to the gryphon who just randomly joined, but seemed to have suddenly gone silent, or possibly in a coma-like state. I then hear the next question from Miles, which came after he gave his report on the situation, and add "Well... wherever it leads, it's gotta be better than here... and that thing that teleported through the portal looked familiar... no, wait, that might have been a piece to the same plate thing that was launched at that planetoid." After a bit, I then continue with "And who knows? We might need that thing in one piece to save humanity again... er, wait, to save the planet again... hm... I'll work on that one," I stumble over what the plate actually saved, given that now humanity's extinct and the planet has gone a little.... well, nutty might be a word to use, though, there are far stronger words I could have used, I'd prefer not to. I then hear Elena ask about a necklace, and say "Yeah, I've never seen anything quite like that," I then get an idea to make the portal somewhat safer, and breathe fire into it. The fire goes right through the portal and scares off whatever giant spiders were hanging around the place. I then think Well, we're not getting anywhere by just standing around, and it seems like I'll have to be the test subject this time around... ugh, that's not my favorite job. I then dive right into the portal, coming out on the other side within a minute... what's weird, though, is that it felt as though I was simply flying through the air rather than through dimensions, worlds, or whatever it is I just flew through. The other side was, as expected, some sort of giant cave system... and I couldn't find the exit anywhere. There were torches lining the walls, however, it seemed as though they only really served to ruin one's night vision or something, as they didn't give off much light at all.
