Hi there again, everyone.

After a nice night o' sleep, your lovely co-GM is back again with two and a half OOC pages and a few IC posts to deal with, so... where should I begin?

@TheWindel: Well, I didn't said that Fazzer should join us (I wouldn't dislike that, though), it was just commenting that, if he did our usual group would be reunited once again. You don't need to crush my heart just because I like being among friends.

@Lucius Cypher: I greatly appreciate the help you gave while I was in the World of Useful Dreams, I may be willing to ask Windel about promoting you, if you agree on sharing Yoshino on DGO, what do you think? Also, just between the two of us, you want that power just to have an excuse to torture @Spriggs27, right?

@Spriggs27: How can Abe kick ass with his fists? Ain't that a contradiction?

@BlueAjah & @Savo: It's nice to have you guys in this as well. As for my opinions about your characters:

- Lilian: I liked her very much, the moeness is highly addictive, in fact. You didn't need to have her wear a different set of clothes, a school uniform would do wonders to lift up the mood of this filth laden place.

- Omen: He's very nice too, however I must say that Maria will be highly unamused wen she finds out the name of that gun... Also, is his real name Drag? You said it was hidden in the personality section, so this is my bet.

@ClocktowerEchos: Ouch! You've seen through my plan. Basically, you ruined Maria's change of building a reverse harem for herself. Also, thank you for making me laugh with the comment about sausage fest, after watching the second season of Shakugan no Shana, that expression always makes me ROFL.

@Lugubrious: It's not bad, misunderstandings happen. I'm too prone for them, to say the truth. There's no need to chastise yourself this harshly and I don't think that Windel would go as far as expelling you for such a thing. We can always solve it, apologize and move forward, right?

@harinezumikouken: Sorry for not replying to the PM before, but know that my opinions are exactly those of Windel. Why bother with that kind of realism when there's snake-legged spiders prowling the countryside? For example, on Samurai Warriors, you never see Magoichi Saika having to reload his musket, despite using the same kind of weapon as the regular rifleman (who have to reload). It all lies on who are the heroes and who are not, IMHO. Now, for my opinions about your characters:

- Paul: I find him a reasonable chap, a proper gentle is always a sight to behold, though I gotta say that he's still missing that charm that comes with age. You know what I'm talking about. I'd say that he cold have made great use of a walking stick gunblade, BTW.

•••

Now that I have dealt with all issues here, let me set up a posting schedule before my inevitable laziness makes me don't do anything.

Sorry again for being away during the height of the discussion.

His Maw is a bolt-action rifle right? I'm not a gun expert <.<

Edit: Alright then. Are you editing his sheet further then?

The Maw was a six shot antique british pistol with a hammer. I'll be editing the character sheet later today after work.

So that's what it's. I haven't looked into it as well, I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions. Either way, I'd say that it's better to keep to single shot weapons, unless it's a pepper-box gun, in which case I'm fully supportive of you having it (cause they are antique and cool). A picture of said weapon could help us decide the way.

Name: Caval Avaine

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Appearance: Caval is by no means an opposing figure he often curls into himself and when talking to people he tries to avoid eye contact. Caval stands at 5ft 9" and has blue eyes that are more often then not bloodshot he has messy blond hair. His face is rugged with a five o'clock shadow. He wears rough leather armour with a long black hooded clock his boot are about 2 sizes to big and Caval often looks like a lost puppy.

Magic: Shadow

Weapon: longsword: Caval carries a sword made of steel, the hilt is adorned with shiny rocks. While the sword is cracked it is still sharp enough to draw blood.

One-handed crossbow: For places the sword cannot reach Caval uses a basic wooden crossbow, Caval doesn't use the crossbow often as it is clunky and time consuming to shoot.

Personality: Caval is not quite there, despite using his magic a handful of times his mind has been polluted by shadow, while still being able to make decision and hold conversations he still drifts off sometimes. He suffers from nightmares as a result of his magic and often only get 4-5 hours of sleep, if he sleeps at all.

Despite being a sandwhich short of a picnic Caval is very intelligent and intuitive when he is functioning correctly he can hold a conversation and can figure out riddles and puzzles. Caval is very childlike and has the same innocence as a child would have, being very naive in the process this however makes him a friend to everyone, this however is not always a good thing and people do take advantage of him due to his deteriorated mental state.

Bio: Caval doesn't remember anything other than him being is an pristine hospital room but he does remember feeling frightened, ither than that his mind is blank.
Other: (Anything the above didn't already cover.)

@Demarcus: I find your character kind of bland, to say the truth. Please don't take this personally, 'cause it's not meant in a harmful way. I can even offer help if you want to improve him.

However, I don't see any point that goes against the rules, so it falls under @TheWindel's decision, really.

@KoL I know exactly what you mean but I felt like doing a little twist on that. I've considered his cane being a hidden rifle myself, but I may save that for a future character upgrade. For now he'll have his crappy percussion cap.

So, what's the word on whether or not Kenji killed the poor old blind man before Maria shot at him?

Also wow I'm the biggest idiot for not realizing Kenji could have just untied himself like everyone else did.

@Zeroth I'd say it's nearly impossible for that to have happened. Simple falling over someone wouldn't kill them unless they were already on a precarious situation. Sure, it can be a big pain in the neck, but killing like this is just too silly.

I'll leave the final judgment to @TheWindel, though.

It was more of a jumping stomp, to be honest. And having someone's body weight come down heel-first on the back of your head is definitely enough to kill someone.

Rather than silly I wanted it to come off as the panicked, but determined thrashing of someone who was completely in the "kill or be killed" mindset.

So I'm looking at the current weapons we have for characters and am noticing a few trends:
Maria: Whip / Break-action pistol
Kenji: Spear / Knife
Lazar: One-handed sword / Crossbow
Bishop: Claws
Hayden: One-handed sword / Break-action pistol
Highball: Cane / Rake / Flail
Sinthe: Punchu
Donny: Axe
Paul: Cane / One-handed sword
Lillian: One-handed sword / Bow
Omen: One-handed sword / Break-action pistol
Caval: One-handed sword / Crossbow

There are some trends, obviously, but what struck me is that comparatively few people opted to go for Bloodborne-esque trick weapons. If anyone is at all interested in swapping out a current weapon for something else, or if anyone wanting to join newly would like an idea, I happen to have a few lying around for anyone to use:

Hideous, a triple-barreled, beast-themed break-action pistol with an axehead bayonet.
Labolas, triple-barreled crossbow. An agonizing reload time balances out its mighty attack power.
Beluga, a handheld break-action shotgun that fires a single, enormous shell with incredible power and recoil, enough to tear through the strongest defense and even blast down thin walls.
Lanternflail, exactly what it says on the tin. A lightsource usable for ranged bludgeoning, with the capacity to facilitate a fire user's chosen magic.
Silverlight, a large and deadly-sharp twinblade, capable of splitting into dual swords. A perfect weapon for a master of dexterity with a keen eye for flashiness and inspiring ambiance.
Fleshreaver - a trick weapon that transforms between a gruesome, giant pair of scissors and a twinscythe. More than a little ridiculous-looking, this is a niche but in the right hands grotesquely powerful weapon, perhaps best suited to a mind already half-drunk with shadow.
Ignis, a simple mace with a furnace in the head, perfect for the novice fire user who finds himself wanted to liquidize the appalling creatures he encounters. As a fight goes on, the furnace only continues to heat up, turning Ignis from a slab of metal into a miniature meteor.
Bone of Morius, a shield cobbled together from the pitiable remains of the giant Morius. When stretched, it becomes a shield capable of defending even the most passive coward, but compacted it serves as a brutal fist, a sort of bone knuckle fitted over the wielder's own fist to augment their punches.
Malice, a masterfully-crafted trick weapon capable of shifting between a high-power, two-handed crossbow and a razor-edged hook blade, though it must be restrung each time.
Sand Hunter's Claw, hailing from a foreign land, this cunning weapon fits over the user's arm and gives them fingers of steel, array-able as a single blade or three-pronged claw. Within the mechanism lies a long, thin chain that allows the claw segment to extend, turning the Claw into a deadly whip and grappling hook.
Morning Sun, a diminutive but skull-crushingly potent cudgel capable of extending into a flail. A miniature furnace within sets the flail-head alight, giving whatever unfortunate soul whose bones have been broken by the Morning Sun nasty burns as well.
The Cure - the strongest hunters in the World of Wasted Dreams find solace in weapons such as these. The Cure is a halberd, capable of cleaving through flesh and bone, with a musket tucked away in the handle to punish any who attempt to preserve their lives by fleeing beyond the halberd's effective maiming range.

Well where are crypts usually ? Graveyards or usually under churches.

@Lugubrious Who's to say Sinthe doesn't have a trick weapon ? He can hold his hands together and smash people harder with his hands, trick weapons don't have to transform, it just depends on how you use them in another way really, everyone's weapon can be a trick weapon really, Sheath a sword and you have a blunt object, turn around a rifle or grab a pistol by it's barrel and you got a club. See what I mean ?

@Lugubrious

Well, I appreciate your suggestions, but Maria clearly follows a Castlevania theme (of having the Belmonts' famed whip didn't give it put, I don't know what will) that's the reason behind my choices.

@Spriggs27

Your comment is highly misinterpretable, rebel on the fact that I'm not home now, or else I would punish you with an appropriate GIF.

@KoL

My reasons are my own. Whatever motives I have, be they benevolent or malice, though shall never know.

@Spriggs27

Do what you will mortal. But until power has been invested within me your desire of the flesh will be a goal shared by you only. However if you can convince Windel to grant me hlthat power, I may be merciful....

@Lugubrious

Donny's weapons are fairly simple because they're just his starter weapons. I certainly want a trick weapon of course, but I'd rather earn those through the IC then start with them staight it the wazoo. Plus i feel It'd be more impressive as a Character if donny created his own weapons, rather then rely on someone elses.

That being said those weapon s you suggested are cool as shite, so I might have donny work towards developing them. The Hideous inboarticular fits my astetics.

Working toward awesome weapons is fine by me. Though I was going to give Highball the Ravenclaw pretty quickly, there's absolutely no way she'd be a master of it for no apparent reason, so she'd start with the cane form and slowly work her way up to the other forms.

KOL, I did not intend this list for you really, it's clear you put some creativity, theming, and effort into your weapons.

No. You can use any weapon in a way it's not intended to be used. That doesn't make them trick weapons. By your logic my calculator could be a trick weapon. A trick weapon is something specifically designed to have more than one combat function.

If I were using all of them, perhaps, but I'm actually using only one. I don't see anyone else giving credits for the people who made their character images or weapon images.

Whatever, though: Deviant User Daemonstar made all of the really cool ones. He also does League of Legends stuff. Great work dude.
