Ser Arton Velaryon(NPC)

Interacting with: Illysia Blackfyre @ViolentViolet

They say that all boys that are talented with the sword dream to one day become Knights of the Kingsguard. And Artons talent truly surfaced when he was only a child on his 9th nameday, defending his mother from one of the many drunken feats of his father. His uncle, the Lord of Driftmark, knowledgeable of the details concerning the abusive behavior of his brother had both his nephew and sister-in-law live with the main family in the Castle of High Tide, and made sure to give Arton proper education, fitting to every boy of noble birth. As a squire, he always seemed to be faster and stronger than his peers and an early knighthood was soon to follow. Only a few years later he would be called to the Capital of Kings Landing to see his uncle standing besides the King seated upon the Iron Throne, Daerys Targaryen. His uncle always dreamed of another member of his family joining the Kingsguard to relive the glories of old, like Ser Corlys Velaryon the first Lord-Commander of Aegon the Conqueror. And Antor accepted, for it was the least he could do to repay the debt he owned him.

He was never sure if he didn't want to have a wife, father children or rule over lands. But what he was sure of at the present moment was the lustful abandon he felt everytime he touched Illysias skin.

The now fully armed Whitecloak studied the dragon skull upon the fireplace mantle, reminiscing the stories his mother used to tell him, of the Dragons that the Velaryons used to ride during the catastrophic civil war between Rhaenyra and her brother. His gaze then returned to the bastard princess and for a moment, he felt as if he overtightened the straps of his breastplate. Before him stood a vision of pure Valyrian Blood and the formation of words became a momentary trial.

"You truly are a beauty my Lady...even the Maiden herself would pale before you." he said to Illysia as he tried to stand uptight.

Gabriel Martell

Interacting with Myriah and Toran (@Emma, @Obscene Symphony).

Tiras' response to Gabriel's question was slowly articulated, almost reticent. The boy knew that all highborn men and women have their secrets, even he had a skeleton or two. Knowing it would be unwise and rude to pry, he simply nodded once and went on petting Onyx.

A minute later, princess Myriah entered the room with a gleeful attitude that instantly brightened the atmosphere, and the sun seemed to fill the room once more with a radiance that reflected in her violet eyes. His cousin's very image was stunning, and were she not the princess, Gabriel would be absolutely smitten with her. Alas, she was also his cousin; though whether technically a third or fourth, or the Seven knows which, was beyond him sometimes. The Martell and Targaryen lineages were now intermingled with one another, making them all family. Historically speaking, it was a tad ironic, but it also seemed destined.

Gabriel was the last to stand on ceremony after she had entered the room. He had been there for three days already and had plenty of interactions with the princess up to that point, so there was no need for a repetition of extensive formalities. Instead of greeting her aloud, he quietly walked over to stand near his cousins. It was both to seek comfort for his introversion as well as a politically savvy move. If there was one thing he could borrow from his Martell heritage, it was that power can also come from multiplicity. Mors Martell and Princess Nymeria... and now the Martells and the Targaryens.

"Good morning, Princess," he said with feigned shyness in front of the others, ensuring he didn't push the "family" act too far, lest he come across as a cheeky brat. He glanced at Toran from the other side of Myriah with eyes and a devilish smirk that seemed to secretly convey that he was having fun now.

Interacting with Myriah Targaryen and Gabriel Martell @Emma @The Nebulous

Toran watched the chaos of the room with a grin, discarding his peach sometime along the way. Satisfied that his cousin was safe around the bear, he took to flicking his attention lazily between whomever happened to be bantering at the time. He couldn’t help but laugh at the ordeal, a low sound, barely noticeable if one weren’t looking to see his chest bouncing with each silent chuckle. Watching the wards, one after another, try to intimidate each other was a spectacle in itself; it seemed to him that they each wanted total control of a situation where there was none to be had. He had to admit, their devotion to making enemies was impressive - but he had to wonder, why expend the effort on violent first impressions?

At this, Toran was actually glad to have come as a guard and not a ward. He would not have had the energy to maintain such ferocity. Of course, this also meant he was not as free to voice his opinion on the matter as he would like; although, the Tyrell guard seemed to overlook that idea in favour of raising his hackles like a dog on a leash. This was the cycle of the room for a while: A snide remark, a poorly-veiled threat, and a ward or two trying to manage the situation, no doubt in an attempt to garner favour as the honourable one. And then the cycle would repeat, as sure as the tide. There was something poetic in it, Toran thought, perhaps something prophetic; in any case he couldn’t muster up the effort to find it.

Toran grinned wider when a girl, sea-worn and emanating a certain pride, reacted much like he would have on her way in. He had to laugh at her sent obscenity, and followed her with rusted eyes until she chose a seat. Glancing around the room now, Toran shifted his staff to lean against the wall and took to stroking Toruk, who wove himself around his master’s forearm and tested the air with a flicker of his tongue, tickling the sensitive skin he clutched so readily onto.

A knot formed in his brow when, with a swagger one could only learn in Dorne, in barged none other than the bastard Dog himself. Aeryn Sand, Toran remembered; Myriah had told him in her letters of the sellsword she’d taken on as a bodyguard. The man was a walking anomaly - Toran had to wonder how a Clegane had managed to lie with a woman of Dorne - and he’d be lying if he claimed not to be annoyed at his presence. Yet, Toran offered nothing more than a skeptical look before turning his attention away, toward the latest of newcomers: Princess Myriah Targaryen herself.

A familiar grin found itself on Toran’s face once again as Myriah came in, politely addressing the wards and positively beaming the excitement. Many of the wards greeted her stiffly, as was expected, but Myriah’s friendly expression never faltered. It was moments like these that she looked more to him like a violet-eyed Martell than any descendant of Old Valyria, with her swinging chocolate curls and skin that bore some copper echo, glowing in the torchlight. It warmed his heart to see her so happy; the last time he’d seen his dear friend (somehow he hadn’t since their arrival three days prior) she had been wrought with grief and terrorized by illusions, and the black she’d worn had turned her skin pallid and sickly in comparison. He remarked, with an inner frown, that the circles under her eyes had not faded, and through the plunging neckline of her dress, he thought he could see some ribs. Yet she walked upright with all the regal grace of a princess, and her face betrayed no hardship when she came to stand beside him.

To Myriah, Toran gave an exaggerated half-bow from his place against the wall, lowering his head and hunching his back, a sweep backward of his snake-bearing hand completing the gesture. “A pleasure, Your Highness,” his tone could have been serious, but a sideways grin and quirk from his eyebrow told his cousin that he was anything but sincere in his formalities. Straightening, he returned his gaze to Gabriel once more, though his grin never faded.

”What have I missed?” she whispered, and Toran found himself remembering all the times in his childhood he’d heard that whisper: In the kitchens when they explored the Red Keep as children; in tournament stands when she spoke hurriedly of all she’d heard of this knight or that; even in the dark, once or twice, her voice shivering and scared from some nightmare that had torn her from sleep. He tried to push the latter from his mind.

“It would seem they all came expecting enemies,” he muttered, leaning so she could hear him, “when they found none, I think they decided to make them.” His silent laugh resumed once more.

Soon, Gabriel had his fill of the bear and came to join them on the wall. He had rarely left Toran’s side since they’d lost sight of Sunspear, and he had figured it was only a matter of time before he returned once more to the relative safety of his cousin’s side. The relationship to the royal family, for Gabriel and Toran both, was certainly an advantage: Queen Nymeria would more likely die than see her family come to harm under her watch, not to mention under Westerosi Guest Right. Despite, Toran was almost happy to shadow the boy. He’d always been kind to him, if not a bit odd, and Toran wouldn’t see Gabriel harmed.

Gabriel greeted Myriah in his own way, and Toran could practically hear the satisfaction in his voice. The look he sent confirmed the notion, and Toran gave him a quick nod and a small thumbs-up under the body of the snake on his hand. Beyond that, he dared not give his cousin’s game away.

Daerys Targaryen woke up in the morning to an empty bed, as he so often did. His wife, Nymeria, was an early riser who liked to roam the gardens as the early morning sun shone down on the beautiful flowers. Daerys stepped out of bed and put an elegant black and red robe over his naked form. Two servants walked in just as he was clothed and bowed. He smiled. He still wasn't used to that, even after all these years as king.

"Draw me a bath. It won't do to be presented as a filthy man to the wards," he said, waving the two serving boys away. They scuttled into the adjoining bathing room, and Daerys heard them beginning to draw the bath. He shook his head. I wonder which one works for Samwell? Which one tells him all my little secrets? he thought, a worried look on his face. He rubbed his hands through his platinum-gold hair and sighed. He didn't have time to worry about such things. His plan for peace would speed up today, with the Wards arriving. He'd need to focus completely on that.

When the bath was ready he disrobed and stepped into the steaming water, where he remained for another hour, letting the heat soak in and relax him. He was stirred by his wife who entered the bathing room in a gown that she'd made herself, and he grinned. "It is time to get ready my love. The Wards have begun to arrive, she said, before sauntering back into the bedroom.

After drying himself off, he entered the bedroom where Nymeria waited for him, sitting on the bed next to his clothes for the day. His outfit was as regal as regal can be. Darkened armor with a blood red cloak, and the Targaryen sigil burned into the chest. He'd had it specially made for today, forged in Drogon's dragon fire. He hated it. It was too ostentatious, but the council had recommended it be ostentatious, and Nymeria agreed. He sighed and began dressing himself, Nymeria coming to help halfway through.

"Do you know what you are going to say my love?" she asked him, leaning her head on his shoulder. He nodded in confirmation before walking out into the hall. He was nervous. He'd organized one of the greatest peace plans in the history of Westeros, but it was a precarious one. It could all fall apart with one touch, and he knew that. He went up to one of the serving boys and began giving him instructions. "Fetch my children and bring them to the throne room, then the Wards. Be courteous to them. These children are the future of our realm, and don't forget it. And also, don't forget Illysia. He whispered the last part, lest his wife hear. Her view towards his bastard daughter was not a sunny one, but she had to be there. Some of the children here were bastards themselves, and he didn't want to offend them by hiding away his own.

He and his wife then made their way to the throne room, where he took his seat on the rather imposing Iron Throne. To the right of the throne, was another, for his queen. To the right of that throne, were three more seats, for his daughters, and to the left of his own, seats for his sons. He watched as his sons, Aenar and Viserys, came and took their seats. They sat quietly, and were soon joined by Shaena, who took her own seat.

And then they came. The Wards and their guards, in a line, led by the servant and Myriah, entered the throne room, a somber procession. He smiled and stood as they entered, each one kneeling before him. He chuckled and walked towards them. "Ohhh do away with these formalities! Everyone bowing and kneeling all day long it's rather exhausting. He could imagine that not all of them very much wanted to kneel, but he respected that they did so anyways. It meant they were smart he supposed. Had he been in the situation of his subjects he figured he'd kneel and bow and curtsy until he was blue in the face.

When the Wards and their guards had risen, He spoke again. "Some of you may see this as a hostage situation, this palace as a prison. I assure you that everything you are here to do is for the good of the realm. And while I guess it is a bit of a hostage situation, in the sense that I don't think I can just let you leave before being here for more than a day, I hope it is a comfortable one. He smiled at his joke before continuing.

"Jokes aside, I'll keep this brief. You are all here to promote peace between your families. While you are here I expect you all to work at being friends, and to obey my wishes. I promise that those will be few and far between. In return, you will all learn the workings of the country's politics, and other useful skills. I promise, your stay here will not be wasted time.

He clapped his hands together and took a deep breath. "There will be a tourney held in one weeks time, and I hope you all will at the very least, attend. Other than that I have nothing else to say, only a warning. King's Landing can be a pit of vipers for those who are inexperienced with it. You may see each other as strangers now, but you are in fact, each other's greatest friends. Don't forget that. And with that, I bid you all a good day. Feel free to get settled in to your new surroundings, and for those of you who are hungry, breakfast is being served in your quarter's as we speak." He stepped back, smiling. In his opinion, this had gone extremely well.

"My lady. I am Brandon of house Baratheon, and this, is my twin sister Lyanna and her bodyguard Robyn of house Greyjoy. I am looking forward to our stay in your home." - Lord Brandon said.

The princess smiled over at Lady Lyanna, and Dame Robyn. "This is now your home as much as it is mine." She said brightly. They would be staying here for quite some time and Myriah wanted them to be happy here, or at least comfortable. Her mood was light and cheerful at the moment, mainly due to the excitement and curiosity.

"Good morning to you as well my Lady" - Tiras bowed respectfully.

"I trust your journey here was safe and pleasant." She said politely to him. Though he had not introduced himself, she concluded he was the Tully heir based on his ring, and the gaggle of animals her father had told her about. Prince Aenor was the one who convinced father to allow the wards to bring their animal friends. When Aenor heard about request to bring direwolves, a bear, and a linx he just couldn't stop talking about it.

When the fluffy wolf trotted over to Myriah and gave her a sniff she froze in place, and her smile disappeared as she bit her bottom lip nervously. Dogs reaction to her always seemed to be negative. She was not scared of the dog, only the barking, growling, and biting that tended to come from them. She slowly moved the slightest bit closer to Toran. Interestingly enough the dog gave a friendly tail wag and didn't appear to be the least bit hostile. She looked over at Lord Tiras worried, but then she glanced back at the wolf. Myriah tentatively stretched out her hand to pet the pup. Her smile returned when the dog happily allowed her to touch him. She scratched behind his ears, and looked at Tiras. "He might just be the nicest dog I've ever met." She said sincerely to Tiras.

"Good morning, Princess," - Gabriel said.

She bent down a bit, and rubbed gently under the Dogs chin. She glanced at Gabriel who stood on the other side of Toran. "Myra" She silently insisted to him, as she rolled her eyes and stifled a laugh. It was her preferred nickname, and when it came to family and friends she liked to do away with titles, and formalities. Myriah stood up straight, as Toran preformed a grandiose bow.

“A pleasure, Your Highness,” - Toran said

She laughed quietly, and smiled radiantly at him. Her dear cousin Toran was someone she considered to be a best friend. She trusted him completely, and was so happy to see him again after two years apart. Many of her fondest memories from her childhood included him in them. Jumping around in rain puddles, pretending they were knights, chasing cats through the castle, playing make believe in the gardens, and sneaking honey cakes from the kitchen before dinner.

“It would seem they all came expecting enemies, when they found none, I think they decided to make them.” - Toran

"That's unfortunate." She said quietly to him. She looked around the room, and everyone did seem on edge, hopefully her father's welcome would help quell that. She looked down at the sweet dog, and smiled. At least the animals where being friendly.

The doors opened again and her handmaiden Roslin rushed in looking restless, until she spotted Myirah. "Thank the seven. Princess I've been looking for you everywhere. It's time. The queen sent me to fetch you." Roslin said sounding a tad out of breath. Myriah nodded, and looked apologetically at her two cousins. She really wanted to keep talking to them. She softly brushed her hand over the wolfs head, as she went to follow Roslin. "Time to meet the King." Myriah said as she walked out the door. After taking a few steps into the hall, she turned around to face the room. "Aren't you coming?" she asked to everyone.
--------------

She made her way to the throne room with the Wards in tow. Her father's speech was much shorter then she expected it to be.

Tiras Rivers

Interacting with: The king @smarty0114 The princess@Emma

As Moon trots over to Myriah he finds himself answering her question. "It was thank you" By the way she reacted to his canine he could tell that she either is scared of them or not fond. The biting of her lip made that obvious. As he watches the interaction between princess and canine he cannot help but wonder what she is like. As he drifts off somewhat her voice travels back to him reminding him where he is. "Thank you my lady." Taking the comment about moon as a compliment. His focus goes back to moon who seems more friendly then usual. Odd, but considering the reaction he does not question it too much.

"Time to meet the king"

He feels a knot of nervousness as the servant speaks those words, but manages to keep his face blank as always. As the others follow he waves over a servant. His voice is low as he whispers to them. "My quarters will most likely not fit Onyx....are there grounds close by where he can stay?" The servant nods and proceeds in telling him where the ward's private garden is. "Thank you. Also, would you kindly take my falcon to my room? The bird is not polite company" The servant nods and carefully takes the falcon to his room. Where the bird picks a bed post and tucks his face under his wing.

Tiras gives a nod of thanks and catches up with the others. His bear on his right and his canine on his left. He had a feeling that the king would want his bear removed and knowing that meant he wanted the bear as close as possible without causing any issues with them.

Once at the throne room Tiras kneels before the king. As he does so, both of his animal companions do their form of a bow with him. By the lack of changing eye color it is clear that Tiras trained this to both animals and it likely took quite awhile and quite a lot of patience to do so. Once risen, he remains silent listening to all the king has to say. With the options presented to him he decides to explore. With the idea to inspect the private garden and make sure his bear will be okay there when he is unable to join him. Though, he will have to make it quick as if he doesn't he will likely reach his quarters and find Atlas eating all of his food. He is half tempted to see what Myriah would be up to, but feels it would be inappropriate to act upon those feelings so he simply waits to be the last of the wards to leave so he could get a servant to show him the garden.

After making sure that Myriah was safe with the rest of the Wards, Leofric made haste to return to the Throne Room before the beginning of the audience. The rest of his Brothers and their Leader arrived behind the rest of the Royal Positions, although few words were exchanged as they took their positions. As the Great Doors were opened, the wards would see an opposing line standing at the foot of the Iron Throne. Their white enameled armors and cloaks made them appear similar to ivory statues, silent and unspoken unless spoken too by their King, their faces covered by their helmets, yet the weight of multiple eyes could be felt as they weighted upon each one of the young heirs. Six Whitecloaks stood before them, with only the She-Dragon herself, Rhaenys Targaryen standing firmly besides her brother. While unmoving for the most part, their reaction was vigilant when Tiras Rivers and his animals moved forward, although the potential danger ended up only being a surprisingly regal bow before their King.

Leofric listened through the entire speech, but with his attention turned alongside that of his brothers towards the rest of the Court rather than the man behind them. Sharp blues eyes went through any motion that seemed to be at the least suspicious, any expression that could prove to be the first step of a planned attack. Thankfully, the whole speech was concluded in calm fashion, with the wards being directed to their chambers. And if Myriah was going to be their Guide during these first days, then he would eventually come to meet all of them. They were the first step to a Dream of Peace that only rivaled the harmonious reign of Jaehaerys the Conciliator, and if Leofric the Loyal could assist his King any further, then ensuring the safety of every Ward alongside the royal family would be the way.

Brandon Baratheon

Brandon was very pleased with a chance to finally meet the King. His mind was racing with thoughts as to what the King would say to them, possibility after possibility running through his mind. Of course, there was always the possibility that we'd all die here, he thought grimly.

He shook that thought from his head, choosing instead to focus on Alyssa Arryn whom was being lead ahead of him. How her hair swayed as she walked, the dark circles under her eyes, and how she seemed to always fidget with her fingers. Brandon's study was meant to determine if he wanted to make an ally of her or not. To that, he had no answer. But he did find his eyes and mind wandering to other places, places he had to willfully pull himself from.

Eventually they arrived in the throne room. Brandon felt his breath, and all of his with and thoughts escape through his mouth as he took in the sheer magnitude of the Iron Throne's visage. Nevermind who sat upon it the Throne itself was a marvel, one Brandon was having a hard time looking away from.

Brandon hardly heard the King's speech, he was otherwise engaged. And he was sure Lyanna would be willing to summarize it for him later. Though he did catch the last part, the one about breakfast being served in their quarters. After they were informally dismissed, Brandon gave Lyanna a 'follow me' jerk of his head and upon passing Reed whispered. "Care to join us for breakfast?"

Willam Lannister

"A trifle, nothing but a fortnight." Willam said to Reed Stark. It was truth, his journey was very short and very uneventful. After that, the conversation tapered off to awkward silence, silence that the young lion was desperately trying to fill to no avail.

Finally an escape was had in their summons to the to see King. This at least would prove to be remarkably interesting. So he gave Talea a meaningful look and started following the rest of the wards. As they went, Willam was thinking about what awaited them in the throne room. Probably a speech about peace and friendship. That's what this exercise seemed to be about. Yes, he was content with that answer.

Though Willam was worried about Talea, particularly her mouth. With which she has unwittingly insulted quite a few nobles back in the Westerlands. No, that wouldn't do here. Here such and affront might cost her life. Or her tongue. And unfortunately the behavior of the Tyrell's bodyguard didn't help. Willam was afraid she'd take that display to mean she could do the same. He'd have to speak with her later, just in case.

They entered the throne room and Willam's eyes took it all in. All of it's magnificence and splendor. From the Iron Throne to the mighty hall, to the windows and tapestries. Works of art all of them. Finally he focused on the man sitting on the Iron Throne, King Daerys Targaryan. Willam had seen him before, even met him, but that was a long time ago.

Willam listened pointedly to the speech, taking the words very seriously. It was as he expected which was a good sign. Finally the speech concluded with a satisfied smirk from the King. Willam took that as a sign of dismissal, though he loitered a few seconds to ensure there wasn't anything else.

His brain shifted gears then, from Willam to Lord Lannister, time for his personal feelings to be locked and let his diplomatic personality and training kick in. To that he approached of all people, Iris Flowers from the Reach. He was very curious about her, though her volatile guard was a liability in his mind he couldn't let the thought of an alliance with the Reach go without trying for it. "Lady Flowers, would you please join us for breakfast?" He made a slight bow, exercising his knowledge of court manners.

Interacting With - Brandon and Lyanna @Lionheart@Kaalee and Manasa @ViolentViolet

Reed was just going to bow to the princess when the servant arrived and spirited them away to the throne room. Reed had been the last in line, behind Manasa, and he'd nearly tripped on his way out the door, just barely saving himself from the embarrassment of becoming close friends with the stone flooring of the Red Keep.

The walk to the throne room took them past numerous Targaryen banners, majestic stained glass windows, and more than a few dragon skulls. He figured it was all to show the might of the king, which Reed felt compelled to mention, didn't need showing. You'd think the giant fucking dragons would be enough but I guess not.

Upon their arrival in the throne room, Reed knelt with the others before standing back up, looking back at the king as he gave his speech. He couldn't help but let his eyes wander about the throne room, admiring the grandeur. Here, even more banners flew from the pillars, and the stained glass windows portrayed the story of Daenerys Targaryen, the first Targaryen queen after Rhaenyra. It showed her mothers flight from the Sack of King's Landing, her birth, her life as a beggar in Essos, her marriage to a Dothraki Khal, her birth of the dragons, her freeing the slaves of Astapor and Meereen, and finally, her conquering of Westeros. It was an exciting tale, one that Reed had been forced to learn by the Maester back in Winterfell.

After the king's speech, Brandon whispered an invitation to breakfast, which Reed accepted with a nod. He began to follow them out, tapping Manasa on the way and motioning for her to join them. He hadn't realized how hungry he'd been but as thoughts of food entered his mind, his stomach growled.

"That was an interesting speech, didn't you think?" Reed asked, turning to the Baratheons. He did like the king's idea of peace, although he saw it as slightly unattainable. But, the War of the Five Kings had plagued the Starks for far too long. Growing up, he'd been warned to be wary of three types of people. Freys, Boltons, and Lannisters. The tales of the Red Wedding and the dangers of the south came from everyone's mouth, and while he figured their fears were justified, he couldn't help but think that it seemed slightly excessive.

Illysia had stood, Freya brushing the ruffles out of the smooth fabric while Daniella cleaned up after them, though the Princess seemed relatively bored. There would be nothing for her to do until it was time for the Wards to meet the royal family. As the bastard daughter she actually had no place being part of the royal family, though after discovering she was here, Daerys had refused to allow her to live as a commoner. She was a Dragon, and she would live as one. She could still lay claims to the throne, assuming that her half siblings died or were unsuited to become King or Queen. Myriah would never be suited to hold a throne or lands of her own, not with the Targaryen Madness eating away at her mind, growing and progressing further, faster than expected every year. Aenar might, assuming he was not more interested in becoming a knight, though his wife may rule for him in the future. Poor little Shaena, the little brat always using her mothers skirts as a reason to be rude to everyone. She didn't know what 'No' meant, and sometimes, Illysia thought she would be better off as a Lannister.

What she had not been expecting though, was for the Kingsguard to speak up, his voice nearly failing him as he floundered for something to say. Naturally, it ended up being a compliment; more beautiful than even the Maiden. She turned her violet gaze to him, full lips curving up in a smile very similar to that of the artistic depictions of the Maiden. "I am sure she would be offended by that, assuming she watched over me as she does the Southern people." She gave an almost angelic laugh, amused to be compared to a Goddess that she did not believe in. All Gods were just faces used by that of the Faceless One after all, though the people raised here believe that they were all different. Over the course of the years she had been here though, she had learned that it was easier to humor the foolish people of the South, allowing them to believe in their poultry Gods without much of a statement from her. It was often too much work to convince them otherwise, and wasted time she could have used doing otherwise.

The young Princess had been about to suggest leaving for the DragonPit when there was a soft knock on the door, one of her fathers servants calling for her to be in attendance. "How exciting! We finally get to meet our guests Arton!" She clapped her hands together, smiling in true excitement, though one could never be sure if she was looking forward to meeting the Wards, or learning their secrets. Looking toward her two handmaidens, they nodded and bowed before leaving, though one of them would stay to watch Tatyanna while she was away. Illysia had already fed her daughter, and with the girl reaching four name days, she wouldn't need her mother as much anymore. With a hand on the door, she looked back at the man before pulling open the large oakwood painted black. The iron fastenings, reinforcements, were a polished white, stark against the black door. It represented her difference from the Targaryen family. She was a Blackfyre, not by birth, but by legacy.

Having left the room, Illysia walked through the halls, making barely a sound on the stone flooring, though when she passed by one of the common corridors leading toward the dungeons, she called out in High Valyrian. Her dragons responded only to her voice, and she had trained them in a language that few people knew, though she had spent her time learning each different dialect of Valyrian. "Exolan! Vrash!" Her voice echoed down the corridor, with no movement immediately she continued walking on her way, knowing that they would follow her scent when they were done eating whatever it was they had managed to find. They were only the size of large horses, so with the amount of space in the Red Keep, they had been able to stick around here instead of going to the Dragon Pit with the other three, larger dragons. It wasn't long until she reached the Throne Room, coming to find her father and half siblings already all there. The only one lacking in attendance was Myriah, who had most likely gone to meet the Wards early. Such a kind soul.

"Father! It's finally time I see. I've been waiting for the last of the Wards since I saw the Stark twins from the tower. With Toran already here the weeks flew by." She spoke openly, unafraid of the Queen Nymeria. Shaena hadn't enjoyed her company, though that was just because Nymeria often spoke ill of the bastard, claiming that she was no good for anything but fucking. She shouldn't be here, though, with so many bastards in the court, there was nothing Nymeria could do to argue for Illysia to leave. If the Blackfyre had to, then so would all the Wards who were also loved bastard children. And that, just simple, would not do for their peace would it? Illysia cast a look toward the Queen, giving her a rather kind-looking smile. Of course, it was fake and rubbing it in, though when she turned her momentary greetings to Aenar she gave a small gesture to the rafters where the two dragons were perched, waiting. The young Prince had often come to visit her in the Dungeons when she was with the young dragons, fascinated by the legendary creatures. Perhaps this boy would marry her daughter one day, and make her mother to a Queen.

It was not long before the Wards arrived, each of the royal children watching them silently, though Illysia's gaze scanned the crowd finding both the strong and the weak. The Arryn child refused to bow for a time, finally kneeling, as even the bear had done it's best to shown some level of respect. Of course, the River's change of eye colour did not no unnoticed by her, indeed her interest peeked by such a thing. A Warg and a Skinchanger in attendance, with a Red Priest. An intriguing array of characters displayed themselves, though the Baratheon children and the Starks soon excused themselves without so much of a word to anyone else. How rude. Illysia could practically hear Shaena pouting at the lack of attention she had gotten from the Wards. She was the spoiled bratty Princess, everyone must love her; or so she was taught by her mother.

Standing from her own throne, she took a step forward, lifting her skirts slightly to remove the hem from her feet as she stepped down from the dais. "Tiras Rivers." Her voice called out, finding the final Ward in the room seeming lost. His bear remained with him, though as she neared it, Vrash dropped from the rafters, using her wings to slow her fall before landing on the stone floor not far from them, it's head dropping as it watched the bear. Her tail tip flicked, spikes brushing the ground in her amusement. Of course, with a glance at the creature, Illysia let it know that the bear was not a prey-animal. Predators should be given respect, since few predators were prey to another. Mostly just dragons in these times.

"You seem lost."

Tiras Rivers

Interacting with: Illysia Blackfyre @ViolentViolet

Tiras was just about to go to a servant to give him directions when Illysia Blackfyre called his name. He freezes and nods to her. He begins to walk forward to meet her halfway when the relatively large dragon drops from the rafters. Tiras does not show fear or awe, but rather a mix of curiosity and respect for the creature. He does not even brush against its mind, knowing that another's animal, let alone a dragon, is not something his mind needs to be in. Tiras does glance at his bear to see how the large animal reacts to something looking at him like that.

Onyx snorts at the dragon, the bear's calmness almost oddly not natural. As if the bear knew that it would not be harmed...either that or the fact that the bear is almost as large as the dragon..being that both are about horse sized with the dragon being a bit larger. Moon decided to sit and look rather himself..with his tongue lolling out the side of the blonde canine's mouth. Seeing Onyx's reaction Tiras gives a shadow of a smile before it disappears from his face.

As Illysia speaks to him, his focus goes back to her. "I have to admit that yes...I am rather lost" He gives a slight head tilt. "I was just about to ask a servant to show me where the private gardens for the wards are, would you like to accompany me Lady Blackfyre?" His tone of that of politeness, as in if she did not want to she simply could refuse him. Seeing as he would find himself living here, he should at least know the other occupants of the castle somewhat even if that required talking. That, and he did need to know where those gardens are. He finds it odd that he is being so talkative, this is the most he has ever spoken and this is just day one. He almost shudders to think about how much more talking he might do...ah well...as long as no feelings are involved he will be fine.

Talea Derlys

Interacting with: Aeryn Sand @Musoka(Briefly), William Lannister @Lionheart, Iris Flowers @Sherlolly, Elden Rowan @Xtreme

Talea patted Aeryn's shoulder.
"We'll talk later. It seems we have to go and meet the king," She said, turning away from him to find William.
She spotted the boy trying to make conversation with Reed, smiling a little to herself.
'Clever. If you can make friend's with the person who probably hates you the most, you can make friends with anyone,' She thought, making her way over to William as they were summoned, making sure to stick close to him.
They headed through to the throne room, the king and the royal family standing in front of them. Talea knelt down, knowing at least that one piece of court tradition. She smirked a little at that King’s joke about hostages. She didn’t feel trapped here by any stretch of the animation. This whole trip was just a different setting for her job, nothing else. She perked up a little at the idea of a tourney. She wondered if there would be a sword fighting contest. If so, maybe she could enter?

Once the king had finished his speech, Talea once again made her way over to William. She was in full bodyguard mode now, her eyes rolling over everyone. If you looked at her, you would say she wasn’t focused at all, when the exact opposite was the truth. She followed William as he made his way over to Iris, glancing at Elden for a second before focusing on her. Though he was the one with the weapons and the strength, she was the real danger here. A good brain was worth one hundred strong warriors. She bit her lip as William asked the girl to dine with them. She didn’t trust the Tyrell. But if William wished, very well.

Lyanna Baratheon

Lyanna had stood up the instant the Princess had entered the room, and curtsied low, nearly jabbing her brother in the side at his slowness to follow. It had not mattered, though, as they were leaving within seconds. She followed her brother, with Manasa and Reed behind her. Once they had entered, she again swept into a low curtsy. She listened to the King with an attentive ear, knowing her brother more than likely was not, and would ask her to recapitulate for him later.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Lyanna smiled warmly at the King and Queen, and her tone sounded no different but her insides had turned colder than the forests surrounding Winterfell. She caught her brother's nod and curtsied once more before following him, Robyn grabbing her arm as they exited the main room and Lyanna took a few deep breaths composing herself. She gently extracted herself from Robyn's grip, confident she wouldn't fall over at this point.

"I cannot help but feel as if this was a terrible decision." Lyanna explained to Robyn and Brandon as she waited for Reed and Manasa. How, Lyanna wondered, did the King expect them to make friends in this self described viper pit? Lyanna listened to Reed's words and let out a harsh breath.

"That's one way to describe it, I suppose. I can't help but wonder if the King knows what danger he actually put us in. The future of the entirity of Westeros in one place. I know for a fact that if my father had more aspirations than the bottom of his cup, he wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of that situation. So who else will?" Lyanna hadn't quite realized the ramifications of this until now, but it was too late. She didn't think the King would be too happy if they decided to duck out now. She blew out another breath before looking around her once more.

"Shall we make our way to breakfast?" Lyanna said, noticing the other wards slowly streaming out of the room. She didn't want to share her fears with those she didn't trust and her trust didn't extend beyond the four people surrounding her now.

"Elden Rowan"

Interacting with: Iris – @Sherlolly, Brandon - @Lionheart, Robyn @Kaalee

Seeing how Iris was looking at him, Elden took a step back from the situation. He didn’t really enjoy the feeling when his beloved was disappointed in him. He knew it was his own fault, he was an honest man to everyone and himself. The Brute Built from Oak had a temper, a fever that grew into a rage in the time it took to flip a coin. It had gotten him in trouble for years but at least back in the Reach they would not hang him for it, they would simply scolder him and lecture him. He had tried with all his might to take the lessons on board but the anger had been with him since he could remember, it would be difficult to shake it now.

Elden stayed silent as the Wards were led to the main chamber to be greeted by the King. He took a knee as was the custom before allowing his cold blue eyes to narrow and gaze upon the Dragon himself. The man was strange in his manner, he did not give off an air of being a liege. Folding his arms, the bodyguard of the Flower listened intently. The idea of a tourney was interesting, Elden wouldn’t mind watching one, possibly even participating. Breakfast too was a good idea, the Axethrower was as hungry as he was tall and broad.

As the king finished his speech, Elden scanned the room once more. If there was one thing that he did not like it was politics but in times such as these, he knew that he would to begin to learn the game if he and Iris were going to survive. Making a brief detour to the Baratheon and his bodyguard, Elden bowed his head in apology. ”Allow me to apologize for words earlier. I understand that tension will occur knowing the histories of our world and I should not have reacted in such an ugly manner. Forgive my temper, my lord and lady. It is something that brings me deep shame”

Taking a step back from the action, Elden fell silent. This was a place for lords and ladies, he was neither.

Aeryn’s light brown eyes looked Talea up and down at her question. He smiled when she suddenly patted his shoulder, the wards needing to enter the king’s throne room and bow and kneel, scrape and kiss immense amounts of ass. Aeryn wished that he were able leave and perhaps go on another contract at times like these. But he enjoyed this cushy job and it did give him chances to be an incorrigibleass to some people. Sand rolled his eyes and shoulders, almost in unison. A tick he had developed that showed when he was bored. He stepped in line with Myriah as the wards followed the Targaryen Princess.

-

Aeryn could not help but sigh at the Kings speech. His hand was on the hilt of Mongrel, the bastard sword that his father had helped him forge as he began his work as a sellsword. The leather grip under him scarred fingers was a calming sensation. The lazy eyes of the Dornish Sellsword flicked from wards, to the Whitecloaks that lined the front of the dias that held the Iron Throne. He could not help but smirk at the stuffy and righteous Knights, especially at the one that he knew one of those oh so virtuous knights was sleeping with the absolutely not virtuous Blackfyre. He had seen the two, enjoying each others company, more time than he cared to admit. Partially because the sellsword wished Illysia for himself. No, not partially. Absolutely. His teeth ground together slightly as he watched the Blackfyre sit idly near her father. He couldn’t help watch her. He shook his head, as if attempting to get rid of the attraction and clear his head.

Time passed, Aeryn watched all the wards file out towards the promise of breakfast. He remained in the throne room, an effort to return the missed conversation with Talea. Tiras Rivers and Illysia had began talking by him.

The Sellsword cleared his throat “Illy” he smiled at the Blackfyre, using the name he had given her at the moment they had met in absolute disregard for any and all concepts of social constructs “I should be able to show Rivers to the garden, I suspect you have other people to please” his brown eyes flicked from Illysia’s purple back towards the line of Whitecloaks and the King.

Now that the conflict had died down and the tension had been more of less diffused, Iris kept to herself as she usually did, her crystalline gaze tracing the room and analysing each and every being. She kept to Elden's side, a stab of guilt causing her to bite her lip as she darted a glance at him. The feeling was unfamiliar to her, so she paid little attention to it after a few seconds.

She stuck to the back of the procession as they were led to the throne room. Her eyes immediately sought the Iron Throne, an object of which she had only seen illustrations of. It took a lot of effort for her not to raise an eyebrow, the first thought she had was how uncomfortable it looked. The Queen's throne, however, seemed far more suitable and a hidden smile played at the corner of her lips. A part of her, the part with the blood of the Tyrell house, yearned to sit upon it, looking down upon her subjects and have her way. Yet, another mystery part of herself wanted nothing more than adventure, some freedom from this regal stiffness. She was pulled out from her thoughts as the other Wards either knelt or bowed or curtseyed to the man before them and, a second after everyone else, she swept low in a practised curtsey.

Iris' eyes stayed fixed on the proclaimed Dragon who proceeded to greet them with a dismissal comment towards their formality. The statement would normally inspire a warm liking to the man if it wasn't for the fact that he was a Targaryen. She remained upright and proper, her head tilted slightly upwards to display her interest, but not so much so that she seemed disrespectful. The conclusion to the introduction from the King came as a great relief, as Iris felt her jaw ache from the tension in her mouth.

Her gaze briefly followed Elden as he approached the Baratheon boy, but was dragged away by the words of none other than William Lannister himself. Her lips curled upwards in a polite smile at his offer, and she inclined her head as he bowed as a sign of respect. The Tyrells had always been civil with the Lannisters, yet their alliances were somewhat lacking despite their common ground in their view towards the throne. "It would be an honour, my Lord." Her smile widened, revealing youthful dimples.

For a moment, she glanced at the female bodyguard. It was not difficult to sense the girl's unease, and a mischievous part of Iris longed to agitate her further. However, remaining composed, her gaze softened slightly and, unusually so for a woman, she offered out her hand to be taken in escort. It was such a Tyrell gesture, the open friendliness and forward manner of her actions, that it would be hard to believe that she was not of pure blood. "Shall we?"

Willam Lannister

Willam gave a polite smile of his own, taking the offered arm. Ever the picture of courtesy and grace Willam took to a slow stroll.
"So, tell me my lady, how do you find King's Landing thus far? I can't imagine it even competing with Highgarden in terms of beauty, of course. Still, if I may, the dragon iconography at least is remarkably interesting wouldn't you say?"
He would stick to small talk, for a time. Until they were in a safer place. The conversation he really wanted to get to would have to wait until a more opportune moment. Willam was positive that Iris would figure out his intentions, if she hadn't already. The Westerlands and the Reach have historically enjoyed very profitable alliances in the past, and forging a new one certainly wouldn't hurt. Especially since allies were in short supply for a Lannister.

Eventually they reached what Willam guessed were his chambers. They had already been decorated, crimson and gold with Lions all over the place. Truthfully it was a bit garish but somehow he'd live with it. Willam pulled out a chair for Iris, expecting her to sit then taking a seat himself. "Lady Flowers tell me, what do you like to do in your spare time?"

Brandon Baratheon

Brandon's jaw clenched as Lyanna expressed her concerns, after Reed approached Lyanna further elaborated, causing Brandon stand to his full height and crack his knuckles. "I'm sure we'll be fine. After all, none of us are exactly weak. We can kill anyone who comes after us.

He froze at the mention of his father, giving Lyanna a hard look. He felt the familiar swirl of the storms in his blood as his mind dwelt on that despicable man. He could feel every muscle in his body twitching, begging him to hit something, anything. He tried to calm the storm, really he did. But nothing was working. That is, until he gazed at Manasa, or more specifically her bright green eyes. He couldn't place it but there was something about them that fascinated him. He felt every bone in his body drain of tension and strife, like the storm was being sucked out of him. It felt strangely hollow.

Brandon had a hard time tearing himself from her gaze to look on the Tyrell's bodyguard who'd come with an apology. It sounded sincere enough and at the least it didn't sound like he'd make a threat against them again s that was something. "No harm, no foul lad. Just remember what I said, some aren't as lenient as I and would take your tongue for less." With that he turned back to his companions, motioning out of the room.

The young woman had been about to speak to her friend, to calm the older girl. She understood her irritation, from how her brother had been insulted. Manasa would also become hostile in respnse to such an insult, though, thinking quietly, she touched her fingertips to Lyanna's arm, trying to convery the calm she felt. Of course, Manasa was feeling rather overwhelmed herself, with the mass amount of raw emotion being thrown around the room, radiating off the people as if they were fires barely contained. When she had finally parted her lips, quietly about to breathe out her words, the large male had burst into the room. Who?

Her distress flared, fingers retracting from Lyanna as the Lynx pushed up against her legs, catching onto her nervousness. The animal had always been in tune with her, though there was little that she could do about it, since Manasa was often the one in charge. As the door swung closed and the man spoke to the group, Manasa moved slightly closer to her twin, so that their shoulders were touching and he could feel the tension in her posture. New people were always difficult for her to speak with, and with how crowded the room was becoming, another added to it would only crowd it even more. The Princess nonetheless.

Before them, upon the Iron Throne, sat the grandson of Daenerys Targaryen; Daerys. His wife beside them, with his daughters, his sons on his side. The Kingsguard had arranged themselves so there was one behind each memeber of the royal family. The skinchanger recognized them only through brief visions, from glimpses of their past though she had never gone seeking them out before her brother told her he was coming here. Then, she had spent days in the Godswood, sleeping with the trees, seeing through the eyes of any she could get her hands on. It had become a part of her, and she knew well that she would be seeking out the Godswood here quite often.

The King spoke of peace, though she had to wonder if bringing them all here was a good idea. If one of them died it would cause a war, if several of them were injured or threatened, the Targaryen House might once again fall to the might of their people. Her brother touched her arm, beckoning her with him and the twin Baratheon's, and she did not hesitate. Shiva padded by her side, careful to always brush against her leg, worried for the young woman. Manasa reached down to touch her companions head, calming the feline before she turned her gaze upward. Lyanna had spoken of the current Baratheon Lord, a man much like the late King Robert Baratheon, though she wondered why it mattered. Her own parents would find a good marriage for her back home, and a wife for Reed. They aspired to little more than ruling the North.

Of course, if the chance arose, the King in the North would reign again.

The young greenseer felt a wave of tension, anger and an uncontrollable thirst for violence. Brandon. The boy had always had trouble controlling the Storm within him, ever since she had met him she had known about it. She turned soft green orbs toward him, catching his own infuriated gaze, watching him silently. A soft smile curled up the corner of her lips, attempting to calm him without using her powers. If she had been standing next to him she would have touched his arm to catch his attention, draw his mind away from what it was that angered him. Thankfully, holding his gaze did help. She felt the tension drain out of him, sucked away, like a tornado moving on. He tore his eyes from hers, and she knew that it was time to cease watching him for now. Lowering her hood, she left black tendrils of silk waves tumble around her face, framing pale skin and bright eyes.

"Breakfast would be wonderful."

Interacted with: Aeryn Sand | Tiras Rivers
Mentioned: @Musoka | @BlackPanther

It seemed to the Bastard Princess that Tiras was not exactly the most excited to speak with her. Of course, she had noticed him standing apart from the others in the group, isolating himself from the young Lords and Ladies. Perhaps it was the fact that he was a Beast Tamer that set him apart from them, though she had seen Manasa Stark with her own animals before. The Tully bastard and the Stark Twin should get along well, perhaps even forming a political marriage between their Houses eventually, though Illysia would rather turn them against one another. Two Tamers facing off would be the most entertaining thing she had seen here in months.

"Lovely, I'm sure your companions will need space to roam outdoors." Illysia had not problem with the two animals, though with a stern look toward the white dragon, Vrash spread her wings and prepared to leap back into the air. It was the interruption from the Sand mercenary that kept the reptile on the stone floor. Vrash had always been fond of Aeryn Sand, though only when Illysia was around. Of course, none of the dragons were overly fond of strangers, preferring to eat those not of Valyrian blood. "Ryn, a pleasure as always." There was no venom in her voice, though no affection or seduction this time. Usually she would speak with a teasing flare, though she disliked his possessiveness of her even though she did not belong to him. In fact; Illysia Blackfyre would never belong to anyone.

She saw his gaze dart back to the line of Whitecloaks, his jealousy of Arton barely concealed. It would be rather foolish of her to think that Aeryn had not seen her with the Kingsguard before, since Arton had often seeked her out when he was on patrol. Usually he was assigned to one of the younger girls, since Nymeria would rarely tolerate the bastard being assigned a guard. The Queen wanted her dead, she knew, though thus far there had been no successful attempts on her life. Not with both her mother and father holding more power than the Martell Queen. Daerys didn't hate her, surprisingly, and she found it strange for her birth father to love her still after all the years of her life that he missed. Perhaps he was trying to make up for it.

"Do you not have a Princess under your guard?" She asked him, looking at him with the violet eyes that seemed to drill into his very being, taking hold of him and keeping him there. Of anyway, Aeryn would know both her sharp temper and her sweet seductiveness, though she had gone out of her way to avoid fucking him or letting him see her daughter. Few people in the castle even knew that Tatyanna existed, let alone seen her. It was the bastards bastard daughter, the heir to House Blackfyre now. Of course, Illysia intended to give land to her daughter and future husband, whoever it was that she found good enough for her child. Illysia on the other hand, would find a way to sink her teeth into the Iron Throne. Even if she had to kill Nymeria to do it. "Father would prefer I make friends with the Wards, since they will be staying here in my home and the Princes and Princesses are a little young to understand." Illysia smiled, full lips curling softly, her gaze still directed at the mercenary.

"Of course, we may come with us if you wish."

Reed awoke to the sound of steel on steel clanging outside his window. He slowly got out of bed and made his way to look out. There, down below the Wards' tower, the tournament ground was nearly complete, and knights were already practicing. The past five days had been nothing but arriving knights, and preparing for the tourney. The day of arrival had been the only day of rest the Wards had truly had. The others had been spent greeting arriving lords and ladies, and being taught by the Grand Maester. He couldn't help but smile, knowing that the next few days would be spent watching everybody hit each other. While Reed wouldn't be participating, he did look forward to watching the event.

He dressed himself, putting on clothes that fit the warmer climate of the south, but still showed his roots as Stark. His overcoat was grey, and adorned with white embroidering, with a direwolf pin near his heart. He stepped out of his room and into the common room, where it appeared he was the first to enter. He strode out into the private garden, where he was quickly greeted by Winter, who seemed to have been waiting just for him.

Grinning, he petted the direwolf, receiving a lick on his face for his efforts. He'd been worried about how she'd handle being out in the garden but it was plenty big enough for her, and she seemed to have adapted to the climate well enough. After spending sufficient time with his pet, he went back inside. He took a seat at the table, which was now adorned with all manners of food, and waited for the others. It was rude to begin eating before everyone was at the table after all.
