"Wah...big sis Luna ignored me." She poked her lip out, pouting a bit and puffing out her cheeks as she was pushed off of the girl. "I'm hurt." The mood didn't last long though, they were suddenly in the presence of something much more interesting then her playing around with Luna. Now, who was this man? Viktor? She didn't know him, but she knew of him, and he was someone Viola would be very interested in befriending. And then a lollipop was shoved in her face, and all thoughts of anything else was shoved out of her head.

Viola took the treat with a quiet, obviously delighted squeal. If there was one way to get on Violas good side - it was to to give her free sweets of any sort. She immediately stuffed the thing in her mouth, obviously greatly enjoying it. It tasted...just like a freshly picked strawberries - her favorite. She'd have to make sure to kiss up to Polyanna now. Free source of candy has been spotted, and she will fully exploit that.

Similarly, someone had asked if they could have a taste of hers. Well, Lee was cute and she wanted to get on her good side...she could sacrifice her sweets for the sake of her own personal goals without too much regret. She walked over to Lee, pulling the piece of candy out of her mouth, offering it to Lee.

"I certainly do." Viola replied with a bright giggle. "You can have a taste of mine, if you want! Though, considering I think they're supposed to taste like whatever the taster wants them too, it's not gonna taste any different." She then turned her head to Luna. "Luuuna~" She said in the sweetest voice she could. "If you don't want one you should give it to your adorable little sister."

Viktor

Drifting in and out of consciousness, Viktor heard a sweet voice, asking something. It was hard to hear exactly what, he was too weak and exhausted. A delicate hand touched his forehead, and he felt a very warm and comfortable magic enveloping him. It was a feeling that he wasn't very used to. A warmth in his heart, like someone embraced him.
Slowly opening his eyes, the first thing he saw was a beautiful girl, with long, golden eyes and a very worried expression. What was her name? He surely saw her around the campus, but he never looked directly to her, now that he did, she was amazing. Lee, wasn't it?
He tried to speak, to apologize, but his body failed him once more. It didn't matter how much he tried, words didn't came out of his mouth.

Suddenly, he saw her... Polyanna. He skipped a heartbeat. She was the last person he wanted to see now. Closing his eyes again as quick as he could, he held his breath, feigning still being unconscious. "She will surely kill me this time..." he thought to himself, the time seemed to crawl as he waited for her to go away.
Without any warning, he felt a lollipop being shoved in his mouth. It tasted like chocolate. Something he didn't tasted for a long time. A surge of energy passed through his body, revitalizing every cell. He felt a little better.

"An' tell 'im to get to my office afterwards. I want have a word with him about losing school property."

And now that feeling was gone. "Shit..." he could feel the enforcer's words piercing his ears. She was talking directly to him.
As he heard the enforcer's steps going away, he breathed a little easier. He would have some serious problems.
The moment he would drop the feigning act, he heard another girl coming. This one he knew. Luna. She had quite a... reputation around the campus. A light slap hit his face.

“Viktor! Come on, now. Not only does Polyanna want to see you, but we’re –late-.”

"Ok... ok, I am... awake, you don't need to hit me." he said, catching his breath.
"Is... she gone? I don't want to look into her eyes again... That woman is evil... She frightens me." he said, a chill ran down his spine.
"Anyways..." he said, getting up and cleaning his clothes with his hands. "I'm sorry for making you all see me in this sorry state. As Polyanna said to you, I was... eh... trapped for four months. Sealed between dimensions." he said awkwardly.
"I needed more space on my room for my studies, so... you know... I tried to transfer it to a pocked dimension. The problem is that... it is very, very hard to weave such complicated knots, specially messing with time and space... Those strings are tricky. And I pulled one that I shouldn't have... The result is that now that room is sealed in another dimension... I cant open it, the strings are too many, and are too tangled for me to try to touch them. That room is currently unreachable by any means. I don't know what is inside... Meh... It was just a tiny mistake." he said, smiling awkwardly.

"Viola, Xinhua, Luna, everyone, thank you for helping me." he said bowing. "Lee... eh... thank you..." he said, stumbling on his words.
"I... That spell you casted, it helped me very much. It was a beautiful spell." He said, hinting that it helped him more than only physically.
"Thank you." he said, extending his hands to her.
Looking down, he remembered the fact that his hands were... different. Quickly retracting and tucking them on one of the folds of his clothes, he said. "I'm sorry. Sometimes I forget that my body is rather... unique. Don't worry, i'm used to people getting scared, afraid or getting away from them." he said, looking down to his legs and arms. "I need to eat and drink something urgently. Its been four months, and I will need every single bit of energy I can get to help me facing that woman..." he said, with a nervous smile, regaining his composure. Giving a step forward, he fell on the ground again.
"I'm sorry... Can I ask one more favor? I'm still to weak and I don't know if I will be able to go to the ceremony by myself. If you help me though, you might get late, so I will understand if you chose to go ahead." he said. "Again, i'm deeply sorry for making you worry about me. I promise that you wont have to bother with me again." he said, smiling.

Noah Salik || Mess Hall

Noah flew in from above, he was just a spec to those below, but to Noah, the school was so big that it didn't even look the size had changed. Noah was above the Mess Hall now. He lowered his arms, his blood wings folded, dropping Noah at blinding speeds. The Mess Hall grew in size as he gradually sped towards the ground. People became identifiable, growing. Before he squished into the ground, he opened his arms, the blood wings took form and caught him. Noah landed on the ground safely and with grace. Why am I here... What's drawn me here...?

"I wonder what would happen if a Dragon God fought an Archetype . . . ?"

A simple sentence, muttered in private, and yet audible enough for a few to hear. It was enough. The question spread like wildfire, unquenchable and tantalizing. The strongest kind of god, against the strongest kind of mage - the very idea was enough to send the imagination flying!

People wondered at the outcome. Who would triumph? Which was superior? All they could do was wondered - for neither Dragon God nor Archetype were beings that could easily be seen, and even rarer would these beings come to blows - even more rare than that was for any creature between them surviving and retelling the clash.

But as always, when not able to grasp the real thing, humans were easily satisfied by substitutes, and there were two convenient ones standing right beside each other.

"Xinhua versus Meruin?"

"Yeah! The Dragon God's Disciple versus the Apprentice of an Archetype!"

"Is she even really the Apprentice of one though? No one's really confirmed it . . ."

"Then wouldn't this be the best chance?!"

More and more the gossip spread, until a literal mob had been formed. Something about the prospect of those two fighting had inflamed their hearts beyond the understanding of rationality.

In the midst of the storm, Meruin stood, her expression going from her usual blank one, to one of surprise, and then, steadily growing horror. Beside her, Xinhua looked nothing but confused at the pointlessness going on around her.

"Why don't you two fight then?" one of the crowd bravely called out to the two.

Xinhua glared at the boy. "I will not issue a challenge to someone who does not wish to!"

Meruin sighed with relief, until another one of the crowd spoke.

"What's the matter Meruin, are you scared?"

"Of course she is. The whole story about her being the Apprentice of an Archetype is total BS. I told you!"

The short mage, with each word that came out of their lips, looked more and more livid. If anyone was aware of her rapidly growing anger, they ignored it.

"That makes sense. No wonder she never participated in any duels."

"Maybe she really sucks at using magic? You know, she's one of those really book smart girls that knows all the theories but can't cast for shit."

"I'm telling you she's not really an Archetype's Apprentice!"

SNAP!

"SHUT. UP."

She didn't shout. She barely raised her voice. But the absolute loathing that seeped out of every syllable was enough to silence the crowd, at least temporarily.

The short girl raised her eyes to glare at the mob that had inexplicably formed around her and Xinhua.

"I. Am. The. Apprentice of the one and only Archetype, The Witch of Creation, The Silver Brush herself!" she said through ground teeth. Something in her pride stung, something that had never managed to touch her before now, despite the prevalence of rumors. Only now did the accusations whispered behind her back truly reach her.

There was silence as her words were processed. Faced with this anger, this sheer loathing, they could no longer deny to her face that she was the Apprentice of an Archetype.

Things seemed to calm down, until, one girl with strawberry-blond curls and blue eyes said:

"The maybe that means that her Master isn't to impressive . . . ?"

Once again, silence dominated as her words were processed. No one said anything at first - such was how, quite frankly, blasphemous, the statement was. Her words implied that an Archetype was a failure as a Master, that not even one as almighty as they were exempt from such flaws. It also implied something far more sinister - that beside the Disciple of the Dragon God, the Apprentice of an Archetype meant nothing.

Once again, chaos spread through the mob of students, more subdued, silent, but no less destructive.

"So I guess an Archetype really isn't much, huh?"

SNAP

"Well, if the apprentice is anything to go by . . ."

SNAP SNAP

"Guess that answers that question. If an Archetype and a Dragon God fought . . ."

SNAP SNAP SNAP

"Looks like the Archetype would lose pretty badly."

"If an Archetype and Dragon God fought, the Dragon God would disappear from the very face of existence," snapped Meruin. "A Dragon God is nothing more than a lizard in the face of an Archetype!"

For the third time, the crowd was hushed into silence from sheer shock. Now, no one made any attempt to say anything, any attempt to weigh in on the "discussion" - no, instead, they took the smartest course of action, and backed away slowly.

Electricity shot out in small sparks from her skin, and the storm that was ever-present in her eyes had intensified greatly, the full weight of which was thrown directly towards Meruin Hazy.

"What was that, little girl?"

To the surprise of everyone involved, Meruin did not back down. Staring directly back at the storm, grey-green eyes flashed a brilliant emerald, matching it's gaze and strength.

"If a Dragon, and an Archetype fought, the Dragon would lose."

"That's a big assumption, from a mage who can't fight."

They glared at one another, daring the other to prove them wrong. A tense silence formed between them as it seemed imminent that a fight would break out at anytime.

The one to break the silence would be Xinhua.

"A duel in my Patrons honor. Meruin Hazy, was it? In a week, we face each other representing our respective teachers."

Meruin blanched in surprise. The small girl stared at the tall beauty in silence, pursing her lips.

"What, don't tell me you're afraid? Not after your ridiculous claims."

"A week, then," replied Meruin through grit teeth. "A week, and we Duel."

Xinhua smiled. Feral, predatory, and vindicated, as though that was exactly what she wanted to hear.

"Agreed."

And pandemonium erupted across the Mess Hall.

Charles would listen to Leo and nod some "I see.." he says before turning back to Sergei as he spoke. "Al-" Charles would be cut off by the commotion and turn his head sideways at the direction of the voices, he would turn back to Sergei when he spoke again. He would slowly nod "...alright... lets... go" he would say. He would pat his golem with a slight smile, showing slight emotion. He would be wishing to figure out what this stuff Leo spoke about was, he had a feeling he heard of something in his past but he doesn't remember, so he started to think this may be the first step at recovering his memories.

Enjoying a moment of peace as he was eating, Allen was humming a song he had heard when he was still but a child in his early days as an apprentice. He was in a particularly good mood today, despite all the weird stuff that happened just earlier. First being his failed experiments with his elemental merging, second being that Leo guy claimed he was his long-lost brother. However, today was a day to celebrate new prospects into the university. While they were few in numbers compared to some years, Strauss enjoyed the small talks he had with some of them. Most seemed like good kids, still needing guidance. What he felt alarming though was the fact that more and more of those kids were orphans. Every year, the number of abandoned children joining this academy at a very young age always seemed to increase.

Lost in his thoughts, the elemental scholar nearly missed the change in the air around him. Raising his head, he raised an eyebrow in curiosity at the gathering crowd around a table. He couldn’t quite make what was being said, nor the people that the mob surrounded, but with the ever-increasing excitement of the crowd, he could clearly hear now what was being spoken.

Rising from his chair and leaving his almost-finished breakfast, Allen joined the gathering of students and checked for himself what the big deal was about. But as he went towards the crowd, he could figure just how bad the situation was when he heard the words “Dragon God” and “Archetype”. Only two names popped into his mind when he heard that.

As he arrived on the scene, it was a bit too late. He had heard the goading from a few students, provoking the Archetype Disciple into spiting her opinion on who would win in a fight between the two godly beings. As such, it brought the Disciple of the Dragon to challenge the former to a duel.

It was such a gods be damned shame. From the beginning, Allen felt like Meruin had no intention of dueling Xinhua, but eventually her frustration got the better of her and it turned out this way. All this because of the students probing the Storm Mage until she would snap out.

And just when the duel was being confirmed, chaos erupted into the hall. People were disagreeing with each other, turning into yells and some even into fist fights. It didn’t take long for a large squad of Enforcers to jump into the fray and try to bring back order into this mess.

However, there was one thing Allen despised about the Enforcers, and it was their brutality and their habit of jumping the guns and bring physical punishment to everyone disobeying the university’s laws, instead of trying to take a more peaceful approach. Granted, this situation was perhaps too chaotic to be resolved peacefully, but trying to solve this issue with more violence was definitively not the way to go, at least that’s what Strauss always believed.

Walking into the crowd, dodging people getting thrown out of nowhere or fists being thrown randomly, Allen reached the place where Xinhua and Meruin were, glaring at each other. While he felt pretty much angsty by the situation, the Elementalist could not bring himself to disfigure the girls with a frown. Instead, he smiled, as he always did.

While he wanted to stop people around him from fighting, he could not do so. Even if his voice would be able to reach everyone, he didn’t have the authority, nor the power to stop both students and Enforcers alike.

“For shame, ladies. Just look at what you did now. Was that really necessary?” Allen questioned the now two rivals.

"yeah that would be great" he said with a nod. Alexander was fine taking the tour on his own but to be accompanied by a peer would be nice too. @TheHangedMan "but first I gotta ask who in the world that is? " he asked pointing to the winged blood mage@Hippo AF. "he literally flew in here. That is freaking insane". Alexander was pumped by the scene it was an insane spectical to see. He coulding stop thinking about it.

Nodding to the woman he gave a small smile. "so would you care to tell or shall we start the tour? Not in a rude way ma'am my apologies for any mistaken tones

Leo twitched at hearing the other students try and get two of them to start a fight. Schoolyard duels were omnipresent in his life; he'd even pariticipated in a few fights himself, but fighting between two very powerful students? Yeah...that was going to be a pain. Thankfully, Charles didn't seem like he wanted to watch the two girls fight, which was sensible; Leo was impressed. But at the same time, there was a look of...sadness in the boy, a look of sadness that was much like what Leo showed when his abandonment issues got the better of him.

He would then say to Sergei:

"Let's start the tour; I hope we give a good impression!"

Noah Salik || Mess Hall

The pain was intense in Noah's head, he walked with visible signs of distress. His face squished, his vision was all but a blur, he moved through The Mess Hall, guided only by confusion, something drew him here. In his blur, something stood out, strawberry red hair. He shifted through the crowd, the more he focused on the strawberry hair, the more his vision became clear. He was next to her, a voice, distant but ever booming echoed throughout his head.

"Gold..."

Noah spoke, his voice of confusion, but he had to know, what was happening to him?
"Gold...?"

Britney Chambers || Mess Hall

Britney had entered The Mess Hall, a bit battered and sore from her previous fight. A massive uproar was booming throughout the Hall, a fight between Dragon Gods and Archtypes. Britney wasn't going to egg this on, they shouldn't fight because of peer preasure, they should fight to prove who's got the will to win. Britney walked through the Hall and shift through the people, she was always watching. She saw her old friend Noah stumble through the crowd, but she chose not to focus too much on him, too much bad blood. She could see all the new comers, so many. She smiled to herself, oh how fun it is going to be this year, but... The gravity was tense in here, someone has so much power. Only someone who can feel the gravity could tell, but it felt... evil.

Lee watched Xinhua carry Viktor with ease, almost as though the man had weighted nothing. She gave Viktor a bright smile, one that very much resembled the sun that brought her plants life, as she gently pried his hands from where he'd hidden them. "Unique," she repeated his earlier word. Of course his hand was unique, but she had no idea why any would cringe or run from it. It was beautiful and, in a way, mesmerizing. She barely kept herself from poking a finger through one of them, and gave Viktor a sheepish smile.

"Does it hurt? Or when it was created? Did it hurt?" She watched him intently, determined to get an answer for her prying questions... That was, until she caught sight of the train. It was always such a thrill riding it. And oh. Was that Meruin? Lee had heard both Tarsus and Ophelia speak about the young mage, about the great capabilities of her magic. Then again, she'd also heard the student body. Much as they admired Xinhua, their views on Meruin had been quite the opposite. As such, Lee had never had much of a chance to speak to Meruin except for a few words, and it was as if the gods themselves (or should she even thank them? Wasn't she a god too?) had heard some unsung prayer of hers and sat Meruin in front of them.

At least, until Karen spoke up. Lee had to admit that she felt the girl's energy die down a bit, and she wondered if perhaps she'd pushed her too far with her teasing regarding Xinhua. That was, after all, why she'd began to keep a healthy distance between her and the Dragon Gods disciple. She didn't want to alienate herself from Karen even more, so when the girl requested they change seats, she reluctantly agreed. She gave Meruin a small smile, and apologized to the gods. Next time, she supposed.

She'd try to humour Karen for now.

"I wonder what would happen if a Dragon God fought an Archetype?"

Lee whirled around to look at Karen, then at Xinhua, and finally at Meruin. She could've called it intuition, knowing that chaos would happen next, but any person with common sense knew that.

She watched warily as the people egged on Meruin, and despite not knowing much about the girl, she'd heard enough from her Master and her guardian to not poke a sleeping dragon with a stick. The others, it seemed, hadn't been taught that particular lesson.

She tried pushing back Xinhua, to at least pull her away from what fight would ensue, but more statements were thrown insulting each of their masters. Electricity shot through her arm and she had to let go of her raging roommate, cursing in a language she didn't even know under her breath.

Then there were talks of a duel, and no matter how powerful Meruin may be, she doubted she'd be able to handle her own against Xinhua in a head-on battle. To say that she was disappointed at her roommate's actions was an understatement.

She pushed Xinhua towards a chair, not even caring if the girl sat or remained unmoveable as stone. "That was the most idiotic thing you have ever done," was stated in an even tone, though the undercurrent of fear and worry resonated within. "Do you think it would be a fair fight? You think your victory will be satisfying?"

Of course, that wasn't to say that she thought little of Meruin's abilities. From what the professors had told her, the sixteen year old was immensely powerful. Perhaps not as physically as Xinhua was, but in her own level. Magic, and whatever secrets the Archetype had showered upon her. It was safe to say that some of the worry and fear in Lee had to do with how her roommate and friend would manage in a fight against Meruin should pure combat tactics not work due to the sheer capability of illusion magic.

"I do not approve of this," she stated, not really knowing if her words would have any effect on her roommate.

Without sparing Xinhua another look, she turned her eyes to Karen. No words were spoken, just a heavy look that she had only given the plague magi once - when she'd accidentally ruined her garden.

With a sigh, Lee turned from her friends and walked over to Meruin, not sure if the girl's roommate would come to her aid. She settled next to Meruin, and placed a calming hand on her shoulder.

"Are you okay?" she asked, a small smile on her lips. Not really knowing what else to say, she engulfed the girl in a hug. "Want to go sit there with me?" She was pointing towards an unoccupied table, a respectable distance from where she was just talking with Xinhua.

Was...was she throwing that perfectly good lollipop away!? Blasphemy! Heretical blasphemy! A thousand curses upon Karen! She was nowhere near agile enough to be able to save the precious and delicious treat, but she could settle with glaring at Karen from a distance. She had to remind herself that sicking the poltergeists onto her roommates, would likely make Luna quite upset and her on the receiving end of 'discipline'....not that she particularly minded that, but she had better things to do than be lectured. So she swallowed her anger for now, sucking on her own and following after the group silently.

Arriving at the train, Viola spotted one Meruin Hazy. She didn't know the girl all that well, however, she had heard the unkind rumors about her. She had never talked to her herself, but she Viola being who she was...was quite interested in getting to know Meruin quite well. She had to wonder how she should go about it, but for the most part she didn't say anything as they loaded onto the train, too distracted by the quickly dwindling sweet in her mouth. She did make a point to at least sit somewhat close to Meruin though, and perhaps the other mage would have seen Viola give her a quizzical look or two.

And then they reached the mess hall.

And a delightful game started in front of her.

Viola watched the scene unfold in front of her, quietly finishing off her sweet as Meruin and Xinhua exchanged insults and the student body egged them on with insults. Truthfully, it irked her that everyone was so intent on making a scene out of this, but there was nothing to be done...so she might as well enjoy the oh so delightful chaos. It wasn't every day when one got to see an apprentice of a dragon and the apprentice of an Archetype fight so this was certain to be a grand spectacle. Not that she particularly thought Meruin could beat the dragon on her own, of course. She was pretty certain of the dragons strength...that said. It would certainly be fun if Meruin was capable of defeating her in some manner, wouldn't it?

She pulled the last remnant of the sweet out of her mouth, a playful grin forming on her lips as it often did when she was planning something.

"Now now, Allen." She giggled towards her friend as he scolded the ladies. "Don't dampen the delightful mood with your reasonableness. What is done is done, and what has happened has happened. So we might as well enjoy the festivities, no?~" This was interesting enough to put her own plans on hold for now. Just for a bit. She had something she wanted to do tonight anyways in the graveyard, something she wanted Strauss' help with, in fact. Just for a little bit of insurance.

but for now, she walked over to where Meruin had sauntered off to, as well as Lee.

"I hope you don't mind the intrusion, Miss Meruin." She said, giving a small smile to Lee. "It is a pleasure to finally be able to speak with you. Viola Reifi, at your service."

Viktor

There was something in Lee's smile, something in that girl that he hadn't perceived earlier. Gentle like the soft breeze, her smile shone as bright as the sun. It was a beautiful smile. Without any trace of malice, without corruption, only that beautiful and innocent smile.

He got really surprised when she held his hands.

"Unique."

Many people turned their faces when they saw his hands, but that was the first time that someone actually said that they were interested on them. Genuinely interested, talking and looking them without disgust.

"Does it hurt? Or when it was created? Did it hurt?"

That sweet and innocent question made him think. He didn't wanted to ruin that wonderful smile telling her about what happened to his body.
The only thing that he could remember about that time was an agonizing pain. Every inch of his body and mind burning with an unbearable pain. That thought made him lower his face, with a sad expression.

He was about to give her an excuse when he heard the fuss about someone fighting someone. He watched, hopelessly as Xinhua without perceiving, worsened the situation. Everyone boasting and cheering for the two to fight. A Dragon God's Disciple against the Apprentice of an Archetype, both incredibly dangerous individuals. Why they wanted to see that badly a display of mindless violence? Couldn't they see that it was dangerous not only for the two girls who they wanted to pit against each other, but for them as well?

The cheering and the provocations continued. Xinhua was losing its patience, and Meruin visibly snapping.
The two girls were at their limit, the gossips continued.

"If an Archetype and Dragon God fought, the Dragon God would disappear from the very face of existence,"
"A Dragon God is nothing more than a lizard in the face of an Archetype!"

"Oh no..." Viktor said to himself, after hearing those words. "Now things will get very, very ugly..." he said, watching dumbfounded as the two girls traded insults, their eyes bristling with rage. He quickly stood up, the tension growing even more, it looked like a fight would start right there.

Lucky for them, Xinhua proposed a duel. Breathing a little easier, Viktor relaxed. At least the other students stopped talking, or at least it was what he thought... A second later, a pandemonium started on the mess hall.

Viktor was Worried about the two girls, worried that they could fight right now.
Joining his hands and then opening them, a myriad of strings appeared, passing through the holes in his hand. Innumerable strings could be seen, moving, coiling around each other, in a chaotic dance.
"This may help to calm things down." he thought to himself, as he delicately started pulling the strings, the ones he selected coiling around others he moved near them.
It was a simple knot, but it would really help on that situation. Thanks to Lee's magic, he had the idea of doing something similar.
A light string was the first one, as he selected others, which coiled and tangled in it. First a green one, then a blue one, a brown one.
The strings began to coil around each other forming beautiful patterns as he joined his hands again, making the knot disappear.

Looking up, he waited for the result. A faint smell of wet soil was the first one. Very faint at first, it grew stronger, after a while, a smell of chamomile, lavender, lemon balm and other herbs filled the room. He inhaled it deeply, smiling, still looking up with his eyes closed.

Walking towards Meruin and Xinhua, he said, loud enough to both girls hear.
"There is no need to useless violence. Being a mage is more than just fighting." he said calmly.
"Viola, please don't get things worse than they already are." he said, with a disapproving look in his face.
Nodding to Allen as a sign of approval after he questioned the girls' actions
Turning his face to Xinhua, he said to her after hearing Lee scolding the girl.
"It wasn't only your fault Xinhua. Just be careful with your words. I know that you have your pride as a Dragon God's disciple, but you shouldn't act harshly. Remember that no one likes the wild fire, that burns and destroys everything that it touches, but everyone likes the warm bonfire." he said to her.
"As one thing, allow me to ask you an important question: What are your plans for your life? What to you plan to do with your powers? Will you be the wild fire, or the gentle bonfire?" he asked, holding her hand and looking to her eyes.

Walking over to Meruin, he said to her.
"Meruin, you are a very intelligent girl. You know that just like Xinhua, you also have your pride as a Archetype's disciple, don't you?" he asked, kneeling near her.
"I understand that you lost your calm after all that. And that wasn't your fault. You are proud to be who you are and there is nothing wrong with that. Besides being the disciple of the The Witch of Creation, you are a very dedicated mage. Certainly people will get jealous over that, and mistreat you. But you shouldn't treat them badly in return, or just isolate yourself. if someone threats you, give them a smile and a hug." he said, smiling.
"Be yourself. You still are a young girl. Even if being an archetype disciple is a very big responsibility, you shouldn't stop to live your life because of it. Be happy, make friends, have fun!" he said calmly.
"The world is already a dark place, if you stop smiling, the darkness will engulf you. So smile, ok?" he said, gently touching her nose.

Luna had casually offered the lollipop to Viola back at the dorm, though the disposal of Karen’s lollipop seemed to grab her attention. Just so, Luna did not react much upon the request of Karen, when she discreetly asked to sit somewhere else than next to Meruin. That girl was… despised by the majority of the students, to say it mildly. Whether it was because of jealousy of her, or due to her personality, Luna had not figured out. Perhaps it was a mix of both. Perhaps. She was not about to pretend to be innocent herself. Luna was not about to share a bag of her best tea with Meruin, at least not with that moody attitude of hers. The two briefly shared a gaze, Luna simply wrinkling her nose.

The mess hall was a welcomed sight. The small sigil on Luna’s arm finally halted its golden glow, as they arrived on their location. There was so many new students, and while the group seemed to head off to somewhere specific, Luna’s attention was caught by food. Without a word she wandered off, on the brink of getting lost in this absolutely magnificent sea of glorious and spectacular food. And that was not even considered overestimating in her own opinion. Nonetheless, she barely managed to grab a bag of peanuts before a donnybrook was on the brink of breaking out. Naturally, she did not want to miss a thing.

As she reached the gathered mob, the topic quickly became clear. Meruin and Xinhua was going off about the topic of a clash of titans; an Archtype against the Dragon God. Luna shrugged to herself, considering the scenario quite the sight, as she passively ate away at her peanuts. Her gaze quickly went to the little Karen, who seemed to stand there with a look of guilt. Perhaps she had sparked the conversation. Luna could not help but smile lightly at that. Poor Karen, who did her best not to get on anyone’s bad side. And just as it seemed Xinhua and Meruin was about to create another dimension in anger, a few individuals stepped up. Well, after the idea of a duel was brought up. Both Viola, Lee, Viktor and the newly arrived Allen Strauss came to calm the situation. As was most likely the for the best, entertaining as it might have been.

Allen Strauss was quite the man. Around the campus he had gained the attention of admiring girls, and boys. Some simply enjoyed watching his failing (and sometimes successful) experiments, and some girls had fallen into an endless pit of admiration and love for the silver-colored man. He came off as arrogant to some, but as it was with most people, one simply needed to spend time with the individual to discover their true nature. Luna herself had had a few encounters with him over the years, and she would be a liar if she claimed she had never cracked a smile at the sound of explosions in the distance. And so she offered her familiar discreet wave as he approached.
At almost the same instant Viktor began his preaching to the two angered tigers, trying to calm them. All of this happening while Luna was still just eating the peanuts. But by the time the talking had dulled down, she decided to speak up.

“Well, you lot certainly managed to make an impression on the newly arrived students.” Her voice hinted neither of approval or disapproval, simply of the plain tone Luna could speak in at times. She eyed Allen up and down for a brief second, before speaking again.

“You and Alec had an eventful morning?” Luna offered a teasing grin. While she had not spend much time speaking to Allen on his own, she had certainly developed a friendship with his roommate, Alec. The liveliness of the boy was a rather grand feature, and one Luna enjoyed spending time with every now and then. That was also her main source of Allen and Alec’s adventures, Alec always being so eager to tell of what Allen had gotten up to now, never holding back a jest.

Luna’s gaze shifted away from Allen again, and back to the little Karen. She wet her lips, before gesturing the girl over. ”Karen, come here and try these. They’re fantastic.” Luna of course knew what Karen’s mind was going off about, and did her best at pulling her away from the spotlight. She could grow uncomfortable so very quickly.

”Lee. I know you aren’t fond of this. But, don’t you reckon they’ll be able to … uh.” She chose her next words wisely, in company of the apprentice of an Archtype, and the Dragon God disciple. ”To let off some steam? Might be stress relieving, and all that. I am sure I read that somewhere. And besides, if it’s within the grounds, no one will get hurt, mhm?” . She ended the sentence with grabbing another peanut, before observing the outcome of the scene.

At first, Allen did not notice because of the crowd that had gathered all around them, but after he had spoken, a few familiar faces popped out from the crowd. Friendlier people than the people that had poked the dragons to fight each other, or the Enforcers trying to beat the students back into a calmer state. Most had come to try and ease the tension that was much like surge of electricity preceding a storm.

First was one of Xinhua’s friends, who was voicing her disapproval of the situation to her friend and went to see Meruin next to check up on her. The Elemental Mage believed he had seen her a few times around the campus, but never spoken to her in person. From the looks of it, her smell and just how close she always seemed to be to the forest and its denizens, Allen thought she was a druid, or at least someone connected to the natural world. There was even that one time Kyuu, Allen’s pet fox, ditched him in the middle of an evening walk to join her.

"Now now, Allen. Don't dampen the delightful mood with your reasonableness. What is done is done, and what has happened has happened. So we might as well enjoy the festivities, no?~"

Allen recognized that voice and that playful giggle. Viola Rifei, someone he actually got to know more personally than others. While he treats everyone as a friend, Viola was someone who shared Allen’s passion for magic and thirst for knowledge. Both had gotten into troubles may more often than needed in the sake of exploring what the world of magic had to offer. Still, despite her attitude and some conflicting ideologies, she’s a good person, and a good friend.

“Hate isn’t something worth celebrating, Vi. I’m not against a healthy rivalry, but one born under the current circumstances often leads to no good.” Allen replied.

Then came a face one would easily recognize, or rather a unique appearance. Very few in the campus were dressed in the way Viktor did, veiled from head to toe, all but his hands, which had peculiar gapes in both. Allen had seen the man “weaving” something from these hands, and albeit he hardly grasped the concept of his magic, the Elementalist had heard of some mages like Viktor. Dangerous individuals able to modify the very fabric of reality by manipulating “strings”. Rare, but often powerful mages who can lead to disaster if using their power in the wrong way. That being said, didn’t he leave the academy earlier this year? It has been about 4 months since Allen saw Viktor last time. The Elemental mage rarely spoke to the Weaver himself, but he was quite interested in speaking with someone wielding the powers to manipulate reality.

Hearing out Viktor’s speech, Allen could but help but smile himself and returned the Weaver’s approval nod in a likewise fashion. Truly, the words of a good-hearted man seeking nothing but peace and welfare to his peers. Allen was a good diplomat himself, but Viktor probably could even best him in that regard. It was good to know someone holding the same beliefs and ideals Allen defended.

“Well, you lot certainly managed to make an impression on the newly arrived students.”

Initially not recognizing the neutral-sounding voice, Allen recognized the woman that had spoken when she made a teasing jab at the silver-haired student’s rugged appearance. While Allen haven’t spoken much to Luna himself, Alec was a rather close friend to her. In fact, Allen would know basically next to nothing about her if it wasn’t for his roommate talking so much about her. At times, Allen wondered if his friend had a little something for the gentle-looking Chronomancer. He had teased Alec a few times about that, but the pyromancer always brushed the rumor off with a light-hearted laugh and a smile.

“You could say that.” Allen answered to Luna, chuckling as he dusted off some debris and mud off his bright fire red and orange cloak. “Making fire rain down in a class wasn’t exactly the result I was hoping to achieve this morning.” he added.

“Ah well. Situation aside, it’s good to see you all this morning.” Allen in turn greeted to his fellow students.

Okay, this is going to be interesting. Maybe I should take bets. Phagora calmly watched the brawl be narrowly averted, then looked around for someone to talk to. She needed to find a way to her room. There was a large group of people talking, so she decided that looked like the best place to start.

"Um, excuse me, but I need someone to show me where the dorms are. Please?"

She batted her eyelids just to make herself a little cuter. It never hurt.

Karen stood alone. When the crowd had dispersed, only Karen remained, looking at Meruin and Lee. She didn't mean to cause her such trouble! The words just slipped out. She had no ill intent behind it, she was honestly just curious . . .

No, it was more like, she honestly wanted to see what would happen should Meruin lose. Only, her imagination escaped her mind and made it out her mouth. Her big, stupid mouth.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized practically everything in this mess was her fault. To make matters worse, the look Lee gave her. She hated that look, she hated that she deserved it and she couldn't stand to be here right now.

Following in Xinhua's footsteps, Karen ran out the Mess Hall.

"Oh to hell with this."

Devon Gramt, resident Professor and Master of Plague Magic rolled his eyes. For once he'd thought that Karen had purposely started the mess and shown some ingenuity, but it turned out to be an accident. Wait, maybe that meant she was more brilliant than he gave her credit for; plagues, after all, were not artificially manufactured, rather, the more natural its occurrence, the more devastating it was.

Chuckling, the professor set down his drink and walked after his apprentice. He wasn't the nicest of Masters but seeing Karen cry irritated him like nothing else. Especially when he wasn't the reason.

Noah listened to her voice, it was of caution and waryness, but why so spooked. He focused for a bit, his head slightly calming down but a constant droning sound was still drilling at the back of his head, like a thousand flies surrounding a carcass. His eyes were scanning her up and down, he spotted several points of interest about her. Her hand was holding something, and judging from how spooked she was, possibly a weapon. Next were eyes, they were very dif-

His thoughts were cut off with her repeated question, this time her voice full of confidence, and any sense of worry was gone. He sighed, not really knowing what to say, "I'm going to be honest, I have no clue how I know your name..." He raised his head, a small grin and his eyes piercing, "And do you plan on putting that needle in my neck? Or maybe my chest? Don't bother, I've yet to meet a poison that can affect me, my blood is... not like others." His head turned to face the crowd, "I have no reason of being here other than I was drawn to you like a beacon. I don't know what's going on but I sense i'm exposed." He turned to her, his face almost begging for answers.

As Charles followed Sergei he would watching their surroundings to take in the entire area. When they went to the train station, he would listen as Sergei explained the situation with the trains and nods, he'd look at the train with some slight noticeable interest though not for how it did everything but because of it being a machine. When they arrived at the Dorms Charles would look onto the buildings looking towards the tops, "bigger.. than... trees.." he would mutter out, he hasn't seen much of civilization thanks to his travels, he tended to avoid any area he didn't think was safe. He paid attention to the letter on the building they went in figuring he should commit it to memory. He would look at the elevator strangely when they got in it, poking it's side some as they went up wondering what it was. "magic... room.." he'd commit about it thinking it was some magic transporting room. He would look at the different doors throughout the hall indication the different rooms, with very slight wonder as to how many people actually live in the building.

When he was handed the key, he'd look the key over for a few seconds before the sky would sink into his own hand absorbing it into his body for storage. He would look at Sergei as he explained the room's defenses ".....Safe..." he would mumble some "...room mates.." he'd say before looking around at the room as Sergei and Leo spoke. He had started to think about making a golem or two to guard himself but then remembered about the ward he was just told about and scratches back of his head unsure as to what he would really do in this dorm room let alone who his room mates was. He'd turn back to Sergei and Leo walking back over to them "..next.." he'd simply say.

Make things worse then they already are? Pfft, please. With her help, things could only get better! For whom they could get better for though, was a question she was going to let the others figure out for themselves. It seemed both Viktor and Allen had some amusingly boring mundane thoughts. At least Luna seemed a bit more interested in seeing this through to the end.

"Hate? Please, Allen dear. I agree with Luna. Letting the two of them blow off steam is a good idea, and knowing Xinhua's temperament, I do not think she'll just back down," Viola smiled and giggled softly. "...at least, not without a lot of persuasion." What she meant by that, she didn't tell. It was likely something less than honest though. "So wouldn't it be best to just let it happen and help where we can?" More importantly though, was Meruin. She didn't come over here for idle chatter. She had something she wanted to discuss with the mage. She offered her a small smile as she spoke.

"Now Meruin, nothing is wrong with losing your composure every now and then, especially after having your skill and pride insulted like that. After all, Archetypes are stronger than a dragon would be, would they not?" Viola replied cheerily. "Xinhua is just too prideful to realize that a powerful and clever mage such as yourself might actually pose a threat! I'm not going to lie, I would love to see her knocked down a peg or two, hehe. Arrogance such as hers is not becoming of anyone."

Viola giggled lightly and leaned a bit closer to Meruin as Cheshire grin formed on her lips.

"Now, don't get me wrong. I think you are quite strong. You are the apprentice of an Archetype, are you not? Just because you dislike fighting for some silly reasons such as duels does not mean you are not strong. However...I would be willing to lend you my assistance in this matter if you want it." She reached into one of her pockets on her dress, a leather bound tome that seemed to be in extraordinarily good condition despite its old seeming age. "Of course, since it is a duel my help is limited...but say, if you possibly wanted...to have a bit of help in the duel from someone I can arrange it. Getting help from...a spirit or two wouldn't be too much of a problem for I."

Of course, summoning something powerful was outside the realm of possibility for her. However, that did not mean she couldn't have a bit of help from Meruin. As strong as she was supposed to be, it should be an easy task for the both of them, to rip a powerful demon from its place and form a temporary contract with it. With her knowledge of spirits and magic in general, and with Meruin's skill - they could probably summon something quite powerful.

"Granted I get something in return, of course. That's how these things work after all."

She really hoped Meruin took her up on her offer. It would speed her own plans along quite well, and she'd be able to skip that entire business she was planning to have Allen's help with. Well, unless something went horribly wrong if they did this, but she doubted that would happen.

"So would you like to make a contract?~" Despite the innocent way she said that, there was a definite darker undertone to the words.

Lee felt Meruin scooch out of her hug, but paid no mind to it. Instead, her eyes were on the spot Xinhua had previously occupied. The Dragon God disciple had left in a brilliant show of thunder and lightning - a representation of her rage that Lee had fortunately never been on the receiving end of. Karen had followed, looking a tad chastised by her earlier look.

She worried her bottom lip. Perhaps she shouldn't have been so short with Xinhua. It was just her worry mixing in with a confusing pull that she couldn't quite name. It wasn't like her to verbally attack someone, even if she was just expressing her displeasure, and it looked like the same could be said of Meruin. In lieu of a hug, Lee placed a comforting hand on Meruin's shoulder, but didn't let it settle for long. "They're right. There's nothing wrong with standing up for yourself." She eyed Viola, not missing the girl's obvious dislike of her roommate's attitude. There was something more there, but Lee just didn't know what.

"Xinhua is strong and has the right to have a little bit of arrogance," she said in defence for her friend, "but I don't doubt your ability to be on par with her with your magic." She paused, mulling over the situation. "I still don't like it. Both of you are going to get hurt. Xinhua might get hurt." She blinked, realizing the blunder she'd just made. She gave a sheepish chuckle towards the gathered people.

She turned to Viola, narrowing her eyes at the way the girl's tone turned sly. "Wouldn't that be cheating?" She loved the girl's magic to death - ha, death, spirits... get it? Shut up Lee - but Lee could feel it inside herself that Viola's contracts were more complicated than she let on. She watched Viola for a while, coming to the realization that the girl would always be as mischeavous as she was that moment, and sighed. She moved over to Viola and ruffled the girl's hair. "Don't stir up too much trouble, okay?"

Her eyes returned to where Xinhua and Karen had exited. She didn't know where her roommate had gone, but she could visit their dorm room and try to search for her using the plantlife around the school. At that, she turned to the young girl in their group. "I'm going to go look for Xinhua. I need to..." she hesitated before finally settling on, "talk to her." Her lips curled into a warm smile as she held out her hand towards the young girl. "I can take you to the dorms. My name is Lee, and you are?"

Before she took her leave, Lee wrapped Viktor in a hug. "Don't go disappearing again. You need to be the voice of reason in this group." She gave both Viktor and Viola a playful wink before taking the young girl's hand and motioning for them to get a move on.
