Ezra had been up for hours. Josephine had wandered upstairs into Ezra's attic bedroom to climb into bed with him. Apparently, there were scary monsters under hers, and Ezra was the only one who could scare them away. It had been 3:09 AM when he was first woken up, but now, 6:15 AM was here and his alarm was going off. It was time to get up and go. Gently getting out of bed, he wandered around to the other side and scooped up his sister, quietly climbing down the stairs towards their mother's room. Ezra placed Josie under the covers next to mom and wandered off down the hall, making his way into the basement to wake his twin brother, James. To his surprise, halfway down the steps, he noticed a light was on in James' room, so Ezra turned back around and headed for the bathroom to begin preparing for the day. After reaching his destination, he locked the door once it was shut and got down to the bare minimum. He knew already this day was going to be a long one.

James had been up the past hour getting ready before the rest of the house could wake to enjoy a nice hot shower. It always seemed to be a battle in the morning for the hot water. Luckily he didn't have Josie up and about during that time, or she'd have flushed the toilet on him. She loved doing that to him, but just him. Seemed she enjoyed getting a reaction out of her brother. He tried to just leave it alone when it happened, but after a while, she did it almost every time he showered and I'm sure you could sympathize for the guy. Maybe yelling at her the way he had the last time she did it wasn't completely called for, but between the boys and their mom, he was the only one to really dish out punishments when it came to Josie. He was labeled 'the bad guy' of the bunch, only because he did the one thing no one else wanted to do. Sure, Ezra took it upon himself to be stern with her, but James still remains the only one who sets her down for timeouts and things of that nature. It was nice to finally have a morning where that little piece of his time wasn't being ruined by his kid sister. He knew it was Ezra coming down the stairs because their mom had a day off today and Josie, as much as she loved terrorizing the house, knew mom would not be happy if she was woken up to chaos on her day off. James sat there at the edge of his bed with his towel wrapped around his waist just staring at his closet. He'd originally picked out an outfit for school but was now second-guessing himself. A random thought blew through his mind as he thought about the school in the city just a few miles out that had a uniform dress code. James shook his head and remembered the time during his freshman year when his mom had threatened to transfer him to that very school, thanking whatever great 'being' above that he had dodged that bullet. Forcing himself up from his bed, he grabbed a pair of briefs, socks and a pair of pants from his drawers before wandering over to the closet to pick out a shirt.

It was another 20 minutes before James' left the house to be a bit ahead of schedule so he could park in the Senior parking lot and let loose before he had to face the first day in his 'last year of hell', as he liked to call it. Ezra stayed home long enough till Josie officially woke up and helped her make a bowl of cereal before dashing out the door at 7 o'clock on the dot. The drive to school was only a quick 5 minutes, but Ezra liked to be early rather than on-time. Although leaving now would put him at school roughly 15, almost 20 minutes early, it still seemed like it was cutting it close, in his eyes. He sent a quick text to James to see where he was and started up his Jeep to let it warm up a little before leaving the driveway. The drive to school wasn't the pain-in-the-ass Ezra originally thought it would be, it was finding parking. It took 3 circles of the parking lot before some Freshman's parent pulled out of the spot, waving to their kid as they drove out of the lot. Ezra just shook his head with a deep sigh and quickly claimed his space, shoving his car into park. 5 minutes before the first warning bell would ring.

This was it. Senior Year.

'Shit,' he thought to himself.

You'd think after you've slept over eight years on a couch that your body would get used to sleeping on a couch, but it never really does. Molly woke up slowly, her body feeling like it had been hit by a truck or several. She reached over to the coffee table and took a sip of the beer she had open last night but hadn't finished. God it was awful.

"Molly."

The soft voice of Molly's grandmother called from the top of the steps. She did this every single day. She didn't even bother coming down here anymore knowing that her basement had been transformed from a lovely second living room to the den of a teenager. It reeked of dirty laundry, weed, and incense trying to mask the smell. "Yeah grandma, I'm up." Molly called from her position on the couch. The knitted maroon quilt was haphazardly wrapped around her petite body. She grabbed the corner and flung it off. Her bare legs exposed as she sat up and made her way upstairs to the kitchen.

"Good Morning Mol" her grandmother said, and Molly gave her a grin. She had no qualms with the old woman this morning, she gave them a roof over their head and even though she annoyed the shit out of her sometime- she cared a lot. Sitting down at the kitchen table she pulled her legs up underneath herself crossed, as she picked up a banana from the center bowl from the table. Peeling it began she eating it slowly. Her body was still waking up and her motor skills were barely functioning at that time in the morning. "My ma already left?" Molly asked, her large doe eyes widening a bit in question. Grandma nodded, "Yeah a bit ago. They had a lot of things to do at the high school early this morning for the first day. Are you excited? This is your last year." Molly nodded.

She hadn't really thought about it too much in the scheme of things. The last few years had flown by so quickly and she didn't have that much to show for it. "Yeah, I'm excited. Can't wait for college." her grandma gleamed, making Molly smile. She had no intentions on going to college as of right now, but she know it would make her grandma happy to hear, regardless of if it was a lie or not. Leaving her peel on the table, she excused herself going back to her "room" in the basement and gathered her things to get ready for school.

She showered, and did her usual routine of makeup and personal hygiene items before getting dressed. She wasn't one for trying to impress anyone on the first day, so she dressed as normal as one really could. A fitted black v-neck quarter sleeve shirt and a pair of jeans. On her feet she wore flip flops. Texas weather was always odd. Sometimes it was hot, sometimes it was cold, and sometimes both within the hour. Knowing the school was going to be heavily air conditioned, she decided it was a safe bet on her outfit.

Throwing her head down, and then flinging it back she got a good amount of mess and volume into her blonde mess of hair. She let out a huff of too much activity. She wasn't looking forward to getting back into dance and volleyball, knowing damn well she had spent all the summer drinking and smoking. Sitting down on the couch she packed a small bowl, and took several hits as she rested back on the couch. She wanted to be completely chill for her first day, knowing that there was going to be a lot going on.

Tapping the ash into a pile on the coffee table, she put her finger in it and put it on her tongue. It was an odd habit, but she had been doing it for years now and couldn't stop herself. Putting down the piece she began to roll several joints, placing them into a pair of socks that she would place with the rest of her gym clothes. Today would also be a good day for finding new clients and reconnecting with the ones she had lost over summer vacation. Molly had been saving up for a car for ages through dealing and she was hoping that this year would be the year she finally did it.

After packing her plain black backpack with her clothes for practice, some miscellaneous school supplies and someone's lighter she walked back upstairs and heading out the door. Her house was practically across the street from the high school so she didn't have much to worry about time frames. Though she rarely did anyways.

Strolling through the parking lot, she said hello to several people she knew and began talking to a few out by their cars.

Skyler never got enough sleep, ever. Being the early bird she was, she always woke up before her parents. Last night she had to go and babysit that bratty kid next door. He always knows when to bother her like when she is trying to edit videos for her channel or when she is working on her sketches because 'He is hungry'. He is one of the main reasons for her lack of sleep. And possibly for her usual morning grumpiness. After fifteen minutes of staring at the ceiling she glanced over at the alarm clock- she still had four hours before the classes began.
She smirked- Let the senior year begin.

When she finally decides to leave the bed, she walks to the bathroom and takes a cold shower to wake herself up. When she finishes cleaning herself, Skyler spends 20 minutes in front of the closet deciding which outfit she should wear today. Sooner or later she picks out a simple outfit: A green tunic, brown leggings, black shorts and black boots. After the said outfit was on her body, she began brushing her short hair and decides to keep it out of her face using a green headband. Grabbing her brown satchel, she makes her way to the kitchen.

"Goodbye, Alastair!" Skyler shouts to her brother. She considers herself kinda lucky since her flat is on the ground floor. There is no need to wait for the elevator or anything of that sort. Although there is a downside to this- it means that she can hear anyone who enters the building and you know, it is not as good as it might sound. Yes, you do find out about the newest local gossip, but in the middle of the night, when someone is trying to sleep (cough-Skyler-cough), the other residents think it's polite to scream their lungs out while drunk. When she doesn't babysit the neighbour's kid, they keep her up at night.

She starts to hum a melody as she quickly leaves the building thinking that she would be late. As she glanced at phone's screen, a smile of relief appears on her face and she slows down her pace - she still has 20 minutes. She stuffs her phone back into her satchel. There's no reason for her to rush anymore, she will make it and still have around 12 minutes to spare. She lights her cigarette and continues on with her journey.

As soon as she arrives on the school grounds she walks over to her classroom and sits in the back corner. She starts to search in her satchel for her earphones, but when she can't find them Skyler punches the table- she must've left them at home. Annoyed she takes out a book and reads for the remaining 10 minutes.

Kira Griffin lay face-up on her bed, her breathing deep and even. There was a gentle snuffling of air through her nose, but gradually, as she rose from the nightmare and awareness grabbed hold of the consciousness, it became a wheezing and whining sound interspersed with violent trembling of her body. The tone of her breathing deepened, but took on a rasping, scraping, spluttering and ragged tortured noise; shallow and rapid, lips trembling with each outlet of air, the intake fluttering as it struggled to infiltrate her constricted throat and feed the heaving lungs and palpitating heart. With a dropped jaw, buggy eyes, and sweaty palms, Kira's hot, salty head popped up from the drenched pillow in a heart-pounding state of emergency. After a split second of massively intense panic, it suddenly dawned on her.

It was all just a dream.

After a few more moments of deep breathing, she heard it; the deathly screech of the electronic alarm clock. She drearily came to as an arm, controlled by instinct reached out and found the snooze button. There was a sigh, a grunt, and a shuffling of blankets. Her eyes were wide open, and she was ever so reluctantly awake. Her mind was fuzzy, the last remnants of a terrifying nightmare being chased away by the realization that she was awake again. The sun peeked in her bedroom window, it's vibrant rays sending a glossy, gold sheen all around the room. Today was her first last day of high school, and although she was very excited to "get this shit over with," she wasn't all too ecstatic about having to wake up at the crack of butt every morning.

After a few minutes of absently staring at the wooden bedroom floor, Kira finally stood up, yawning and stretching her arms high above her head. Her muscles ached, and her legs were stiff, but she'd somehow managed to make it all the way to the hall bathroom that she and her mother shared. She took a ten minute shower, brushed her teeth, applied her makeup, and got dressed. She even took the time to fluff her hair; she'd done a big chop over the Summer, which now made fixing it in the mornings a little easier. By the time she'd finished her morning routine, it was a quarter til seven, and the pleasant smell of apple-wood smoked bacon filled the house.

"Morning Ma," Kira said as she made her way into the kitchen. Her mother just waved her hand as she stood over the stove, the bacon was sizzling and popping in the cast iron skillet. Usually her mother would be headed across town to her job, but because it was the first day of school, she'd decided to be a little late and cook her daughter some breakfast. "You didn't have to cook anything, you know I coulda' just grabbed somethin' at school." Her mother scoffed before placing five strips of bacon on a slice of bread. "I know my cooking isn't the best," she said with a slight smile, "but I'll be damned if this doesn't taste better than some grimy cafeteria food, now sit and eat."

Kira did as she was told, and by the time she'd finished her breakfast, it was time for her to leave. Her mom kissed her goodbye and reminded her to take her house key before she left, and watched as Kira got on her bicycle and peddled away. The bike ride from Kira's house to the school would take about ten minutes, which would give her just enough time to chain her bike to the fence and stroll to her first class. The ride was easy, thanks to three long months of basketball conditioning, so by the time she pulled into the school parking lot, she hadn't even broken into a sweat.

Having only attended Delbrook for the last month of the previous school year, Kira only knew a few people here and there, most of them being her teammates. However, after she'd secured her bike and walked through the parking lot and towards the school doors, she couldn't spot any of them. Instead of loitering in the parking lot, Kira decided to head to first period early. She wasn't at all surprised when she found that she was not the first to arrive.

"Good morning," she spoke kindly to the girl with her head in a book, before picking a random seat and laying her head down on the desk.

"Mornin' " Sky responded quietly without looking away from her book. She wondered why she even had a book titled 'Sun-beams may be extracted from cucumbers, but the process is tedious.' in her bag, but hey it's still a reading material, isn't it? Unlike the title might suggest, this book isn't about cucumbers (or sunbeams for that matter), this book is about Federalist response to Thomas Jefferson. History of America was truly interesting.

She glanced up at the clock: 5 minutes left. She violently stuffed 'Sun-beams may be extracted from cucumbers, but the process is tedious.' into her satchel and began drawing comics on a random piece of paper she found in her bag. As she finished the line art of the characters she turned the paper around realising she drew on her timetable. Sky facepalmed.

"Just great" she muttered.

"Oh gosh," Ally murmured, rolling onto her back. She looked up through the darkness and onto the ceiling. She needed to know the time, but didn't want to check her phone. If it was too early and she checked, the light from the phone would keep her up for at least another thirty minutes. The alarm didn't go off, so she quickly deduced it wasn't 6:15 yet. She wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep. Usually she did really well in the mornings, always able to beat the alarm by a minute or two, hop up, and get ready for school. Today she didn't feel it. Her job had to keep her a couple hours later than usual the night before and she made herself dinner afterwards since everyone else was already sleeping. She was grateful for the extra hours, so the extra income, but it could be a toll on her sleeping schedule. "Dang, and I still need to go to school, huh?" she asked herself, turning onto her side. "Yeah, you do," she answered, looking at the phone. The low-brightness screen read 5:57, so she decided it was time to get up.

She stood, throwing her arms up in the air and stretching. Some people said that was bad in the mornings, but she felt the opposite. It helped her feel more active and awake. After a minute of stretching and yawning, Ally finally moved into the bathroom. It didn't sound like anyone else was awake, so she tried her best to keep quiet. Her brother would have to get up soon, and she wasn't sure whether or not she should wake him up. "After my shower," she told herself and locked the bathroom door. The water took a couple minutes to warm up, so she decided to brush her teeth in the time being. She couldn't stand having a bad-tasting mouth and enjoyed the minty freshness of the toothbrush. The water warmed and she hopped in the shower.

Because the other two would need the bathroom, she did her best to do the daily ritual of the shower quickly. To keep her mind occupied while she conditioned, she hummed and planned out her day. The first day of school usually didn't last the full seven-eight hours, normally lasting only four hours. Maybe she could relax at the park or something afterwards.

After her shower, she dried off and put on a simple blue T-shirt, jeans, and a Wonder Woman logo necklace. She didn't have anyone to impress and just wanted to be comfortable, especially before the stress to come later in the year when colleges and universities either accepted or declined her requests. She let out a long sigh thinking about the close future and exited. Her brother was still snoring away on the couch. The time on her phone read 6:17, so she gave his shoulder a shove. "Hey, you need to wake up." He let out a grumble and shifted deeper into the couch. "Come on, Matt, you need to start waking up." Knowing how he was, he would wait at least twenty minutes before getting up, so that's why she had to wake him up early.

Having done her job, Ally moved into the kitchen and thought about breakfast. She didn't really want anything warm or heavy to eat and opted to eat Honey Bunches of Oats. It was her favorite, so she didn't mind eating it. While grabbing the milk, she also grabbed a bottle of cool water. She read an article a while back that cool water was much better at waking someone up in the mornings than coffee. Whereas she didn't really believe water was much much better at waking people up than coffee, she did it anyways.

The cereal took less than ten minutes to eat, so Ally rebrushed her teeth, gathered her backpack, and moved to her father's room. He wasn't awake, but she gave his cheek a kiss anyways, whispered, "I love you," and exited, closing the door behind her. He was a hard worker, so she completely understood why he slept so long. Her brother, on the other hand, was barely stirring. "Shoot, if you don't get up, you're going to be late and our dad is going to be pissed."

"Whatever," Matt muttered and continued to shift around.

Ally shut the door with disappointment and began her walk to the school. She was fortunate enough to have the school a mere mile and a half away. It took her about twenty minutes to get there, twenty-five on a bad day. The cool morning air woke her up and refreshed her. At least she could be out of the house and out of work. School wouldn't be so stressful today and for that she was grateful.

At the school, Ally picked up her schedule and went to her homeroom where two girls were seated. She took a seat a bit towards the front to make anything easier to see. She recognized the two girls from the year before- or at least thought she did-, but couldn't remember any specific names. "Good morning guys," she greeted, leaning back a bit in the seat. She then added with a chuckle, "You guys excited for today?"

Ezra managed to find James just in time, taking the can of Old Spice Lionpride cologne spray from his jacket pocket and dousing his brother in it to hide the stench of his high. With a stern shove towards their homeroom, Ezra walked with his brother and helped him stay on course, not even allowing him to grab a quick snack from a vending machine just out of James' reach as they walked down the hallway.

"Should have thought of that earlier, Jim," Ezra said to his brother, keeping his free hand on his brother's back while the other held his copy of Goblet of Fire that also held his class schedule as a makeshift bookmark within it. It was his hopes that the homeroom teacher wouldn't have them doing any work, especially on the first day, but then again some teachers didn't care. Their last year's teacher hadn't, and this year they were seniors. The workload would probably start early for them, Ezra thought to himself.

As they rounded the corner and made their way upstairs to the second level of the 300 building, the two boys stepped into the classroom in which Ezra practically ran into the back of James as he abruptly stopped. James was staring at the three girls sitting in the room with a bewildered look, which Ezra couldn't help but find hilarious.

"Never seen a girl before, brother?" Ezra sniggered into his twin's ear.

jaмeѕ тanner rυмanceĸ

James shook Ezra's hand off him and glared back at his brother before making his way to the back of the classroom on the opposite side of the girls, crossing his arms across the table to nestle his head into. James then closed his eyes and began to think about his best friend and the girl who his heart had belonged, not having heard from them in so long, with his phone being broken for nearly the whole summer. All that was really on James' mind was the fact he hoped he'd be seeing them today, either one or the other, but to see the both of them would just make his whole year. He let out a deep sigh, getting as comfortable as he could in the hard desk he sat in, as close to the corner as he could manage.

Ezra watched his brother sit down in the back of the class and close himself off from the rest of them before he moved further into the classroom to take his own seat, choosing a spot in almost the dead-center of the room. Before taking his seat, he gestured to the three girls with a small wave of his hand and a half smile. "How you girls doin' today? Nice mornin', don'tcha think?"

Elizabeth had managed to make it to school with just moments to spare, cutting the engine to her bike just as the 5-minute warning bell rang out across school grounds. She'd been late because she stayed behind long enough to help her dad get his truck up and running again. It wouldn't start when he tried heading to work that morning, and Elizbeth knew enough that she actually did most of the work to help him bring the ol' girl back to life. She quickly pulled off her helmet and shook her hair out to rid of the stiff look her hair took from the very thing, strapping it around the handles and darting off to.. wait, where am I going? Elizabeth heaved a heavy sigh as she dug into her jeans pocket, tugging her neatly folded schedule out from its clutches. 313. How could she have forgotten that? Not only were 3 and 13 her favorite numbers, but she'd had the same classroom last year for a Teacher Aid period.

Armed with nothing but a pen and a flimsy, beat-up notebook from the year before, Elizabeth wandered slowly into the classroom with a slight hesitance about her. Immediately, she recognized a few faces and waved hello to the girls in the back. Ally, Skylar, and Kira were their names, she had no problem places names on familiar faces. Then there were the boys. Ezra and James Rumancek. No way in hell she could forget their names or their troublesome faces. As soon as Elizabeth and Ezra made eye contact, both corners of their mouths seemed to reach their ears as Elizabeth walked over and hugged her friend tightly around his mid-section. Considering he kind of towered over her like a giant. Elizabeth smiled over at James with a friendly wave before taking a seat with Ezra in the middle of the classroom.

"Taking up your usual spot as the center of attention, huh Ez?" Elizabeth smirked and prodded Ezra playfully.

Ezra shook his head, his grin growing slightly widening. "Nah, saved it for you, Darlin'. Knew you'd want it all for your own." He shielded himself and laughed as Elizsbeth tried to swat her hand at him, looking back up as more students continued to file into the small room.

"H-hi" Sky responded. Whenever she was around someone she didn't have much social contact with before she would feel nervous. Three's a crowd as they say."I-I guess." she responded to the question. Hopefully, no one would ask her this again, after all, she hated being questioned. Returning to her comic, she sighed. She will need to re-make the timetable later.

As she heard more people walking in, she ignored them and instead continue on with her comic. Well, that was until one of the boys (she couldn't remember his name mainly because she never really socialised with anyone except anyone online or her family/ the annoying neighbours) decided to pester her with questions while she was busy. She groaned. Sky had enough socialising for the next 4 hours. She stuffed the timetable down her satchel as the other students flooded the class.

Frisk wakes up before everyone else and stretches stiffly in her bed before standing up and walking out into the hallway and gently pets Sans on the top of his head who followed her out and signs out, "Good morning Sans." She yawns and calmly makes her way into the kitchen to notice that they were about to be late to school if they didn't hurry this caused Frisk to jump and rush down the hallway to each her older sibling's rooms and pull the covers off them and onto the floor and pushes them off. She huffs and quickly rushing back into her room and gets dressed sliding on a black tank top and her normal purple flannel. She quickly slips on a random pair of socks and rushes back into the hallway and slips falling on her face. She quickly shakes it off and crawls to the kitchen so she could start on their to-go breakfast and lunch for them since they don't know if they will get free lunch this year.

Chara growls and lays there on the ground not wanting to get up just yet. She huffs and slowly sits up before laying back down and curls up with her blanket her wrists still hurting from the marks left on her skin last night. She growls knowing that Asreil is going to end up bursting in and end up dragging her out of her room so she beats her head on the ground before slowly standing up and walking over to her dresser and pulls out a black t-shirt and a pair of khaki pants. She then throws them onto her bed and pokes her head outside of her door and looked around to make sure no one is going to walk by while she was changing and she the marks. She quickly gets dressed and slips on her jacket and walks out of her room holding a pair of socks yawning and stretching stiffly.

Asreil hits the ground with a thud after Frisk pushes him out and slowly gets up to get dressed. Once he finished he walked out and caught up with Chara. "Morning Chara... Why do you think we slept in so late?" He asked placing a hand on her shoulder has they met up with Frisk in the living who already had there backpacks lined up by the door and there lunches on the couch arm above their backpack.

"How about the fact that Chara had the great idea of staying up all night to dance." Frisk signs out and hands them their breakfast which made up for a piece of toast with their favourite jam except Chara's who has chocolate spread on it and a tangerine which all was in a brown bag for each of them.

"Hey it was fun though Frisky Bits"

"Sure if you call dancing to you literally drop fun"

Asreil softly laughs and grabs his stuff before handing them each theirs and holds open the door for them so they could start their 30-minute walk to school, "Hey how about we cut through the park? It could cut some time off of our walk and it gives us a chance to eat."

Frisk and Chara takes their stuff and walks out. Frisk shrugs and nods her head giving him a little thumbs up before starting on peeling her tangerine dropping the peelings on the ground has she walked.

“Yo, Jay. JC. Wake up, man! We’re gonna be late!”

The voice of his younger brother brought Jameson Radley away from Dreamland and back to the real world. It was early Monday morning: his first day of senior year, and Jasper Radley’s first day of high school. It seemed like just yesterday that JC was getting into fights in the elementary school backyard, sticking up for his brother after some bullies had been teasing him. And today, his baby brother would be joining him in the jungle that was high school. Time sure flew, and it was JC’s job to make sure Jasper’s time in high school went smoothly and that he didn’t get into the wrong crowds. Lord only knew JC didn’t want his brother to follow the same path he had. Jasper deserved to be the one to go far in life.

The older Radley’s lack of response made Jasper anxious. The younger teen shook his brother’s figure harder, and blurt out a loud: “JAMESON!”

A hand emerged from under black covers, waving Jasper away. “Yeah, yeah. I’m up. Just… Gimme a sec.”

Jasper rolled his eyes at his older brother, but ultimately did as he was told. “Okay, okay! But hurry up, man. I don’t wanna be late on the first day.”

JC waved Jasper away again, his eyes still closed under the covers and his voice thick with sleep. “Damn, Jasper, take a chill pill. I’ll be right there. You know I’m not a morning person.”

About forty-five minutes later, JC and Jasper were kissing their mother good-bye and taking their respective seats on JC’s car. The ride to school was a short but entertaining one: like all the ones that had happened since JC had received his Mustang as a Sweet Sixteen gift from his father. The Radley boys had made it their tradition to do a car karaoke every morning on their way to school. Today, it was Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen spirit blasting through the convertible antique car’s speakers, with JC and Jasper singing along to the long-gone Kurt Cobain. The boys attracted stares from their schoolmates as they entered the school parking lot, but neither of them seemed to mind.

As soon as the car’s engine had been shut off, Jasper jumped off the car and raced to the building. His brother, however, made up a feeble excuse that Jasper never bought and stayed in the car for a little bit longer. He’d received some requests for delivery of ‘products’ before classes started, and since his motto had always been to tend to his ‘clients’ first, Jameson made sure to handle his ‘business’ beforehand. By the time he was finished and walking in the school building’s direction, the warning bell rang. He’d never been one to care much about being late or early, but first impressions were everything. And so, the raven-haired teen quickened his pace and soon enough was through the door of his homeroom classroom. His brown eyes quickly scanned the room, going across familiar faces of people he’d studied with since his grade school years, and ultimately focusing on only one person at the end of the room: James Rumancek.

A wide smirk rose on JC’s lips at the sight of his best friend. With the characteristic swagger that earned him fame with the female population of Delbrook Academy High School, Jameson made his way across the room to take the seat on James’ right.

“Well, well, well… Look who it is. The elusive James Rumancek. You pulled a fucking Houdini on me this summer, man.” JC said teasingly, punching his friend’s arm lightly.

Ezra half-smiled towards Sky at her response and decided she probably wanted to be left alone, considering the manner of her reply and the fact she'd never been one for conversation in the years prior. He half turned back to Elizabeth, smirking. "So, you ready for this shit to begin?" Ezra hadn't realized the teacher sitting behind the computer screen just a few feet away was listening to student conversations until he cleared her throat with a peak over the desktop at him with a raised brow. Ezra ducked his head slightly and mouthed 'Sorry, sir' before turning back to his friend with a sheepish grin. "My bad," he mumbled with a chuckle.

James hadn't heard any footsteps, even as his friend grew closer and closer. In fact, James was almost dozing off when a fist smacked into his arm along with a familiar voice. With a charming grin, James lifted his head and laughed. "I'm sorry man. I sent a letter.. must have written the wrong address. I never remember the street name right, you know that. And to top it all off, soon as we got up into Canada, my fucking phone broke, dude. I really am sorry, though. Missed your punk ass!" James reached over quick and returned fire, hitting his friend in the arm. "As if I'd ever purposefully stop talking to you." He gave his friend a look before glancing around the room, then back at JC. "Hey, did you happen to see Jules on the way in? I haven't seen her since getting back, and she hasn't been here all morning. Really hope she's not too mad at me. I don't need problems to start this damn school year off." James looked at the door one more time before shifting in his chair to stretch and slouch back in his seat, rubbing his already reddened eyes.

Elizabeth shook her head at Ezra and waved her finger at him before she slowly rose from her seat, leaving her notebook on the desk to keep her spot. She walked over to the teacher and was going to ask him about how his summer had gone. Elizabeth had been quite acquainted with Mr. Mitchell having been his student aid the year before. As she got behind the desk, though, the late bell rang out through the small classroom. With a smile, she returned to her seat quickly as Mr. Mitchell rose from his own and came to the front of the class. Elizabeth sat up in her seat and nudged Ezra's arm that he was currently slouched on, forcing him to sit upright, as well.

The room was laid out like a small college class, the only drawback being the uncomfortable high school desks. Four rows of seats with four tables in each row, every table seating two students each although not all the seats are ever full for most homeroom classes. Mr. Mitchell had minimal decorations on the wall, but as he went on to introduce himself he also let the class know that soon not only would the walls be covered in classwork but so would their desks. Mr. Mitchell was an Honors English teacher, and the class periods he had off near the end of the day, another teacher basically rented out his room to teach her art class in. His walls would be filled with both drawn and written pieces of work, the desks would occasionally have artwork from the classes of the day before that were in need of drying.

"In a short time, I will be taking you over to the football field for the festivities. Most, if not all of you, have been here in the previous years and have heard the long speeches our Vice Principle and Counselors have given. You know what's expected of you. For those of you who are new here, don't worry, you'll get your own chance to sit through the exciting 'Welcome to Delbrook Academy!' speech soon, but you will go after the younger classes have had their fair share. I'll have to hunt you down on the field and send you off. I do apologize ahead of time. No one deserves to have that much fun for themselves," he looked out at the students he knew were returning previous students, mouthing behind his hand as if hiding it from the new kids, 'It's NOT fun!' cutting his hand across his throat with a smirk. "But seriously, though, everyone's gotta go through it and it's best to just get it over with as soon as possible. Today will be a pretty boring day for you Seniors, anyway. You all don't need the coaching and full bar of details like the little fresh-meats, I mean, freshman kids do. So, for now, just sit tight until we hear the next bell, and then I'll take you guys on over. Shouldn't be more than 5 more minutes, they're just giving teachers a chance to take roll. I'll be taking roll once I get you all to the field, as well as after when we are to return back to the classroom. I know some of you guys will want to venture off and maybe even try ditching school, but just because it's the first day doesn't mean you're getting off the hook easy, alright? Best behaviors, yes?" He gave a soft smile along with an eyebrow raised as if to say the only answer he'd better hear was a 'yes'. With that, he turned back towards his desk and sat down, clicking and typing away at the glowing thing.

"If by 'excited for today' you mean excited for today to be over so that I can go home and take a nap, then definitely." Kira yawned as she lifted her head from the desk, silently watching as more and more kids filed through the doors and into the classroom. Like her mother, Kira was definitely not a morning person. If she didn't get at least nine hours of sleep, which she seldom did, then there was a strong possibility that she'd be in a slump until lunch time rolled around. After a couple of minutes, two boys, presumably brothers, entered the room, one of them choosing to take a seat in the corner, and the other in the center of the room.

"How you girls doin' today? Nice mornin', don'tcha think?" One of the brothers said, and it took every ounce of strength in Kira's body to keep her from rolling her eyes. What was up with everyone around here being so god damn perky this early in the morning? Instead of making a smart comment, however, Kira just opted to mutter a quick "sure" and slightly tilt her head forward. Once Elizabeth entered the room, Kira offered a small smile and wave, remembering the girl from the previous school year.

After a little while, the late bell rang through the school and class finally started. Mr. Mitchell, their honors English teacher, stood at the front of the class. Unfortunately, Kira hadn't had the chance to listen to this 'Welcome to Delbrook Academy' speech the year before, so she didn't know exactly what to expect. Judging by the teacher and fellow student's groans and eye-rolls, however, she could tell that it would be a drag. She pulled out her cell phone and scrolled through her social media feeds until the release bell rang, and afterwards followed the herd of Seniors towards the field.

Sky looked up at the teacher and rolled her eyes. Great, she will have to listen to the Vice Principle's speech again. She simply didn't understand why they had to listen to it each year. Her eyes were drawn to the clock at the back of the classroom. For some reason the topic of time seemed interesting to her and how humans cared about it so much that they needed to have everything planned or scheduled. It seemed foolish to her. Muting her phone she began to scroll through the art forums, waiting for the 5 minutes to pass.

When the bell rang, Sky stuffed her phone into her satchel and wanly followed the class outside onto the field. She looked around. The field looked the same as last year. Sky sighed and run her hand through her short brown hair. She hoped that she would last this tiresome and tedious year.

Strolling from the parking lot to her first classroom, Molly had taken the most out of the way path to homeroom that she could muster out without being late. She had been attending this school for far too long, and knew every path way and every nook and cranny along the way. Eventually Molly made her way to her homeroom classroom. She spot several familiar faces nodding and smiling at them but not fully engaging conversation with them. Taking a seat she listened to the conversations around her, smirking at some of the exchanges as people suddenly "remembered" what it was like to be in school, and what their so called "friends" had been up to.

Mr. Mitchell made his grand appearance speech and expressed to us how this room was going to work. Molly took a look at the walls and imagined how by the end of the year they would be filled to the brim with art work. Cool. The girl ran a hand over her mess of a hair, smoothing down any fly aways that had crept up. With the sound of the bell she strolled off with the other seniors, towards the field to see what festivities would be in store for them this year. She also kept an eye out for any new female customers she would be obtaining this year.

Has they made their way onto compass Frisk slips open her phone to check the time and sees what time it was and looks around to see that they need to be on opposite side of the compass. She jumps and looks behind and signs something out to them, "Guys we should hurry we have like 10 minutes and we have to get to the opposite side of the compass." She then grabs them by their arm and pulls on the so that they would hurry up so they could start running to their first class.

Chara growls and grabs onto her backpack straps before starting run to their first class pushing a few students out of the way not wanting to be late. "Move at of the way you pipsqueaks!" She growled has she weaves through the crowd in the hall causing a few to move out of the way knowing who she was.

Asreil quickly jumps Frisk by her wrist and follows after Chara has fast has she could not wanting to loose her since She knows how to get there better then he does. "CHARA! Wait for us!" He calls out to her as they near the classroom. Once he caught up to Chara with Frisk in tow the bell rings and they were all outside breathing heavily trying to breathe.

They all look at each other before nodding their heads and walking into the classroom one behind the other and makes their way to the back of the classroom to the right corner and organised themselves so that they were near each other but they all could still talk to each other. Asreil sat in the corner with Chara in front of him and Frisk next to him.

Mr. Mitchell watched as a few straggling students came wandering into the classroom as if they were invisible. A quick clearing of his throat and a brow raise warned them all that he knew they were there, and they were very much late. Seeing as it was the first day, he took it upon himself not to take any further action than that, though. At the sound of the bell, Mr. Mitchell stood up and chuckled, as he wasn't quite as quick as some of the eager students who were already rushing out of the classroom towards the field. Some knowing exactly where to go and the newer kids just stringing along with the in-crowd. After locking up the room, Mr. Mitchell followed behind his homeroom class and managed to pace ahead of everyone to take the lead of the herd. Once at the field, Mitchell turned on the class and held up a flat hand facing them to motion for them to halt. Once he could see that everyone was watching him, he simply smiled and waved his hand towards the field. "Go on, guys. I won't take roll now, but I better see every one of you back in the classroom after it's all over, ya hear me?" With a few nods and some verbal agreements, he went about his way as did his students to go join the small crowd of seniors that had already made it to the grounds. Many teachers were still holding their students captive to take roll, others like Mr. Mitchell, had just set them free.

The carnival was something straight out of the movies. Something like Grease, to be absolutely specific. There was a Ferris wheel, a mirror house, and a 0 gravity ride called Area 51 spread out among a number of carnival games, face painting booths, food trucks and booths galore. The bleachers above the track were littered with small groups of kids huddled together to talk amongst themselves, either too anti-social to get down and join the festivities or the 'too kool for school' types. Yeah, that's right. Cool with a K! At each entrance stood a teacher, as well as a few walking the grounds for good measure but for the most part it was pretty much a free-for-all to wreak the kind of havoc one wouldn't expect to be able to accomplish on the first day.

Ezra and Liz began to head towards Area 51 while James made a nearly immediate beeline for the food trucks, hardly even waiting for JC in his haste. James dug in his pants pocket to grab his wallet out, paying for his 2 street tacos and large order of nachos drenched in dark orange cheese. He could have been mistaken for Gollum when he finally gets the ring from Frodo at the end of Return of the King. He had his Precious. James climbed the bleachers and found a spot to sit near the bottom corner closest to the stairs, chowing down on his munchies. Ezra and Liz got into the line for the 0-gravity ride, talking amongst themselves of their summers that they, for the first time since meeting, hadn't spent much of together. The line moved fairly quickly, considering the inside of the ride could fit 20 people or so, but they still hadn't made it in. They were up next, though, and they stood there patiently waiting. Arguing harmlessly about who would get dizzy and fall down first.

Asreil looked at around the festival from where the teacher left confused and curious on where they should go to first. "Hey guys... Where do you like wanna go?" He asked turning towards and looking at them both.

Frisk shrugged and turned to Chara and signed something, "Chara you got any ideas on where the hell we can go?" She then looked over at Asreil before looking around from where they were trying to see if she could see anything from where they were standing.

Chara shakes her head and crosses her arms and moved out infront of Frisk and started walking towards a collection of weird looking games. "No clue but we might has well look aroumd. Maybe we can fimd something interesting I guess," She says has she pulls on the sleeves of her jacket a bit and walked around slowly looking at everything has they walked past it, "Say something if you see something."

Interacting With: James @A Tattooed Girl

Once Kira had made it onto the field with the rest of the students, she almost couldn't believe her eyes; It was like something straight out of Adventureland. From the sound of things during first period, Kira knew that there would probably be a few small activities for the students to partake in, but she had no idea that it would be like this. "They'd never do anything like this back home," Kira muttered under her breath as she checked out the scenery, "cheap fuckers." After a quick look around, Kira decided that her first stop would be to one of the carnival games. The objective of the game was to toss as many rings over the glass bottles as possible before the time ran out. She played a few more games and, before she knew it, Kira had about a book-bag full of small stuffed animals, prizes from winning the game. Rather than keeping them, however, she decided to hand them out to random students as they passed by, not wanting to have to carry all of them home.

After giving away the last prize, Kira made a beeline for one of the food trucks. She bought two slices of pepperoni pizza before finding an empty seat on the bleachers. It wasn't until after she took a few bites of her pizza that she noticed the boy sitting not too far away. She instantly recognized him from first period, and wracked her brain for his first name. After a moments struggle, she finally remembered that it was James. In his vicinity sat two street tacos and a large order of extremely cheesy nachos. The way he was eating made it seem as though he hadn't had a meal in months. "Those must be some bomb ass nachos," Kira said lightheartedly before taking another bite of pizza.
