Moving along the story would be a good idea, like maybe going too that mine you were talking about? Like starting to prepare for a time skip would be a good idea.

Note: I said Starting, not now, but maybe in two or three rounds.

@Thinslayer After having read through all of what I have missed in the OOC just now... You CAN'T AND WON'T do anything to make it right between me and you.

The nerve of saying it is MY fault, because I seemingly just don't want to post, is utter garbage. I am a caretaker to two disabled parents, I am a caretaker to two family Dogs, I am a man who has work to do around the house almost daily, and then I enjoy some time to myself that doesn't include writing. The time I get to myself is spotty, unscheduled, and usually me skipping an hour or two of sleep.

So you wanna know what Thin? Fuck. You.

Secondly! Let's talk about this Rp. I won't go over the EXTREME lack of story or lore, and the effects it has on motivation to write. What I am gonna talk about is the Power-playing. The Good ole-power-playin'!

Do you even know what it is? I will tell you!

Power-playing is when one player forcibly takes control of another players character, and writes for them in their own post. I.e. All the times your Gm posts force other players to due certain actions, or all the Dialogue you have written for them. I consider this a sin among Gm'ers. You don't power-play as a roleplayer in the first place.

Now before anyway says something! There very much is a difference between posts such as these:

"The Guy grabbed the girl, to move her and save her from the Arrow." - Not powerplay.

"The Guy yelled to the girl to move out of the way. The Girl then proceeded to due a paragraphs worth of actions that were written by someone other than her player." -Power-playing.

^ This particular brand of shitflakes is the reason I am not fond of your cereal. But to add to it, your sour milk of an attitude about everything, just because you don't get your way of someone making a post every single day, makes for a shitty breakfast.

For the health and sanity of everyone involved here, I think it's time to put this rp to rest. It had its moments and it was a lot of fun but currently the rift created between gm and players would be incredibly hard to fix, at least from my perspective. Maybe give it a couple months, work on the rp a bit and then reboot it when things have calmed down? I'd probably come back if this were the case.

For now, I'm outta here. It was a blast guys, I'll rp with ya later!

Though I tagged you, I wasn't really thinking of you during my rants because you're new.

Not sure what you meant about the power playing. If you're referring to Darkmoom Angel and I, then you've jumped to conclusions - we hammered it out over PM beforehand, and what got posted was by mutual agreement.

The lore was written sporadically over the OOC.

Unfortunately, I'm coming to that conclusion myself. I screwed up the beginning pretty royally.

Before everyone leaves, I need to issue everyone a more complete apology.

First, let's begin by stating the obvious: I've been an asshole. More specifically, I held assumptions about what your lives were like instead of taking them into account. I'd been expecting you guys to tell me that info, but really, I should have been asking. In my mind, one of my defenses was, "Well, why didn't you guys tell me that you needed time?" Because that's not really your job. That's my job as GM, to ask and find out. Because I'm not just GM for me; I'm GM for all of us. I should have been proactively seeking out ways to make your player roles easier, instead of punishing you for not meeting my expectations.

Secondly, I blew everything out of proportion. You guys have all been great. There were maybe one or two people I had issues with, but even then, it wasn't nearly as big a deal as I made it out to be (see prior paragraph) and none of you deserved what I dished out.

Finally, I should have put more work into the RP than I did. And I'm talking on multiple fronts. Lore-wise, I was more story-focused than world-focused, which meant that I had a clearer picture of the intended plot than I had of the world it's set in. I only worked out the lore later, and that stuff should have been worked out up front. Fobbing it off on you guys was...how shall I say this...a dick move. And then there's the atmosphere of the game. When players were struggling to find their footing and make a story out of the lore trash heap I'd set up, my attitude was mostly negative, if I expressed anything at all. I should have put more work into making the atmosphere positive and binding people together.

I screwed up, and you all are paying for it. I don't blame anyone at all for not wanting to stick around (and I don't particularly want to after what I did), and I certainly don't hold any hard feelings toward anyone. Even ManoftheNorth.

Special Apologies
To Lord Zee: You've been pretty chill and awesome throughout the RP, and a model writer. Seriously, I take notes from your writing. I gotta admit, it really stung hearing that you were one of the first core players to announce your resignation from the RP. You will be missed.

To Hawlin: I won't soon forget how supportive and loyal you've been. Leaving you is gonna be hard. If we meet again, I can only pray you harbor no hard feelings toward me.

To Darkmoon Angel: I must confess to having neglected you for most of the RP. Big mistake. You've been nothing but cool and supportive. Honestly, I'm gonna miss RPing with you.

To rush99999: Your positive attitude has always brightened up the day. You probably should have been GM instead of me. Just sayin'. ^_^

To Cuccoruler: Speaking of GMing, would you mind being mine? :3

To Rekaigan: You, more than anyone else, have had to take the most flak from me. Frankly, you didn't deserve any of it. I recall you saying that you were in school; I've been to college, and I should have known better than to knock you for your posting rate. When you're not in school, you're studying for school, and when you're not studying for school, you're stressing about not studying for school. Every moment is perpetual stress, and that wears a person out. Worn out people don't write much. I should know. You've probably come to despise me over the last few weeks, and I'm truly sorry I brought you to that point. Please forgive me.

To ineffable: What can I say? You've been awesome. You just seem like a really nice person, and you shouldn't have had to see me rant like I did, let alone lump you in with the folks I had problems with.

To Darkwatck01: You're one of my oldest friends, and you didn't deserve to be lumped in with everyone else like that. You've been so supportive, and I've been an ass to you.

To ManoftheNorth: For me to assume your life was anything like mine is a rotten move on my part. You didn't deserve to be ranted at.

Since going off and sulking is hardly a productive way to handle things, I'll be around. Perhaps I'll see you guys again soon. Best wishes to everyone!

Hay man, I am just here to help. I did the best I could with what ya gave me. Only think I can say that would of gotten me is this: When we where talking about the story lore and Mechanics of the Story ya should of taken that, broken it down and made it accessable for everyone. Then again I had the info as well so we are both at fault for that one.

Anyway I am always happy to help man, you know where to find me on Steam ([DsGN] Mavros Drakos) when your feeling up to making a new one. Just don't get to surprised if I start asking questions man. Remember: Devil is in the Details.

First of all, I want to say something:
Thank you. This was one of the first RPs I've been in that lasted for such a long time and honestly the most interesting RP I've ever participated in. I loved all the characters, the stories as well as the bond between them. Also, I thank you for everything. I was annoyed at first and took it out on you but you responded with such maturity and kindness that it has really struck me. I've never seen a GM so dedicated to an RP they made as you have. Throughout this whole experience and whenever I've been stuck in a tough place this RP and you were there to brighten it up. When I couldn't write you helped me through it. You're one of the people I honestly look up to. You handle everything in a mature manner and I wouldn't want anyone else to do it. So thank you, once again for making such an RP that I have come to love and thank you for being a person that is, in any situation, kind, understanding and the beating heart of The Faraway Land. Laina gives you a salute. Thank you once again and I really do hope to see you somewhere here.
PS: Go on to do great things, Thin. You're meant for that ;)

As for everyone else:
@Cuccoruler@Rekaigan@Darkmoon Angel@MissCapnCrunch@Lord Zee@Hawlin
Hey, old crew.
Thanks for creating such a wonderful roleplaying experience for me to escape to whenever things get hard. Thank you for the quality writing and for the bond our characters (and us) have shared. I hope to RP with you all very very soon.

@XenoCyanide
Hey, Xeno. Been a long time huh? Just quoted you here to tell you that The Faraway Land has kind of ended. I also want to thank you for being such a good writer as well. :)

@ManoftheNorth
And North, I'm honestly a bit bittersweet about you but I understand what you're going through and hope that you live life with happiness. I'll see you around.

I think start anew, recruit newbies and generally expand the plot more. Make it more grandeiose and if you would like, put it in the advanced RP section which was where this was heading when we left off.
However we must focus more on the plot and what we expect so that next time there won't be any of the problems we experienced here.

Yes, we really need to expand on the lore. I know people like maps, and I do too, but I can't make them for the life of me. I should recruit somebody who can. In the meantime, some of the societal infrastructure should be established. I'll work on it when I have time.
