@EchoicChamber Are nayads and dryads counted? I was thinking of a daughter to a dryad. I'm sorry it's taking this long for me to write the character. :/


It's fine. Not a problem at all. And hmmm, I don't really see a problem with that idea, especially since they are a part of Greek history and what not.

@Kidd @ohsosaiko For the Zeus-versus-Athena thing, I don't think Pheonix would take a side at the start. She'd wait until one side pisses her off (which is probably inevitable), then pull a "I'm helping you because you want the same things as me, not because I like you" with the other one.


That's totally fine. To be honest, the characters don't really have to take a side right now because don't forget that other factions are coming into the picture as well.

@ohsosaiko Thank you. I did a bit of research and there are some dryads who have names, such as Erato, priestess of the god Pan. What kind of powers would the descendants have then? As I've read, the dryads do not really have any powers - they're just souls of the trees. Is there any tree in the Academy that would need a dryad?

I was thinking of creating a fairly young dryad, born from a tree centuries old. She would be located somewhere near the Academy so she could attend it too. Or would it be too much to have an actual dryad as a student in the academy?

Also, what's this Zeus-versus-Athena thing about? I don't remember reading about it in the first post.

I need to get reading the character sheets & other stuff. I think I'll get this finished in a jiffy now that I have these ideas!

Would you recommend reading the whole OOC thread - just thinking if anything significant was brought up earlier?

To be honest, I totally see how those abilities relate to the Rin character. I'll see what Kidd thinks about that character though; if some are concerned about her being too powerful, maybe one of those abilities can have a type of limit to it? Don't change anything on it though, want to get input from the other GM. I like the character though :)

Now as far as abilities go, I'm not sure since they didn't really have abilities themselves. But maybe depending on which spirit the characters is based on, they could have abilities that relate to it? Not sure.

And as far as your character idea goes, I actually really, really like it. Due to the type of academy that it is, I would expect different types of spirits and such to be there. I wouldn't have a problem with that idea.

And the Zeus v Athena thing is just a plot idea that we are discussing. It wasn't mentioned in the OOC, sorry about that. We are discussing a few different plot ideas actually.

And oh goodness no, no need to read the entire OOC, I can PM you with a brief summary of what we discussed so far as plot ideas go.

That's what I thought, I expect the Academy to have stood there for decades, if not centuries. I may create two characters, both spirits. I was thinking of giving them a materialized human-like look. Also, they would need to rest in their mother tree. If that tree gets cut, the spirit residing in it will also die. That brings some excitement to the character's story as her tree must be protected! How would it sound if that tree was one in the courtyard? It would have stood there watching over the Academy over the decades?

Was considering a descendant of a god and a dryad, but that would kinda defeat the point.

Alright, thank you. I must admit was a bit lost when I began to read the latest posts in this tread.

Also as a warning, I tend to write long character sheets. I will try to keep it compact though.

Anybody's character here Gaia's or Demeter's kid? Was thinking if so, we could set up their relationships. I feel like a Dryad decades old would know som of the other students.
