Regis Dimitrios

As usual, Regis set his alarm for 6:00am. He got up from bed at 5:23. He woke at 4:52. That night had not been a restful slumber. Despite his bed and bed side being perfectly lined with his precious plush toys, he found his fuzzy friends were of little comfort as he twisted and turned in his new bed, at his new room, at his new home, with his new partner and this new nagging feeling in the back of his mind. But staring at a ceiling you cannot see leaves little room for distraction, so Regis was left with a bizarre question he had not considered until he talked with Monty.

'Was there something wrong with Regis?'

After a long session of 'not sleeping' he concluded that there was nothing wrong with him and the fact he spent so long pondering it was the strange thing itself. So what if his partner didn't have some of the basic necessities in life, like maids or proper amounts of belongings, that didn't indicate Regis was strange. That meant Monty was strange! But his new partner was cute, so he forgave him for this obvious abnormality. He wasn't sure what poverty the poor fellow had been living in up to this point (definitely a scholarship student), but it was surely quite horrific! What a cruel world!

He got 2 hours sleep at most. Waking up in pitch black, completely awake and realising that no matter how hard he cuddled Sir Bernaldino the Grizzly Bear he wasn't going to get another wink of sleep wasn't the greatest feeling, so instead of torturing himself he just decided the get on with his schedule. He trudged to the bathroom, sluggishly shrugging off his clothes, and reached to the faucet as an odd thought occurred to him. Was this going to wake up Monty? The actual thought itself wasn't the odd part, so much the fact he thought it at all. For some reason that seemed... unlike himself. No matter. Aside from covering the gap under the door with a towel so most of the light would go unnoticed, there wasn't a whole lot he could do except hope Monty was a heavy sleeper, or that the walls were thick enough to muffle the sound.

After a 20 minute shower using his own body wash, shampoo and conditioner (he wasn’t going to use the stuff the Academy had given them, he had standards!), he clicked his tongue in annoyance when he realised that if the shower hadn’t woken his partner, then a blow dryer certainly would. His hair was considerably lengthy, and if he doesn’t straighten it then it would go completely bonkers. He can’t use a flat iron on wet hair! He’d have to wait until he knew Monty was up. Wow, living with another person was so needlessly annoying. At least when he lived with those idiots the year before he didn’t give a damn if he woke them at 2am because he had a sudden craving for orange juice or the urge to play his favourite rock music without headphones.

Marvelling at his own thoughtfulness he decided to just straighten it later. He dried off, put on his clothes, wrapped his damp hair in a towel and brought out his large makeup kit from under the sink. After doing his usual routine of shaving and contouring his beautiful face, he peeked out of the bathroom to check the clock. 6:10. It took him under an hour to get his shower and makeup done, along with brushing his teeth, and he hadn’t even straightened his hair yet. On a normal day when Monty would have to use the bathroom too, would he manage to get everything done in time? How long would his partner need to use the bathroom? With a sage nod, he knew there was a simple solution to save time. Get into the shower together with-— Whoa, hormones, calm.

Eh, he would figure that out later. For now, he had some time. Opening up the only cooking book he had in his collection to a bookmarked page, a guide on baking pastries which he had been pouring over the night before, Regis tried to cram in as much information as he could to deal with the bold faced lie he told Monty about his cooking skills. He vaguely noted an alarm clock sound out from the room across, noting his partner’s 6:30 start. Finally. He grabbed his hair dryer and flat iron from the bathroom before Monty apprehended it, and got to work now that noise wasn’t an issue. Breakfast started at 7, blow drying could often take as long as 20 minutes but he squeezed out as much water as he could beforehand so it would probably just take 10, however straightening it could take as long as an hour if he wanted it to be perfect, but a hurried job could probably take 30 minutes and... wow, why was looking so fantastic such a damned chore?

Finishing up drying his hair and five minutes into straightening with a small portable mirror propped up on his desk, he heard a few knocks at the partition and the sound of the door opening. "Hey Regis? I'm gonna head to the dining hall to find my sister and friends. You're welcome to join us for breakfast, Felicity and Nancy are pretty friendly."

Regis blinked and frowned. He hated being seen before he was properly prepared, and he had barely even started assembling his mess of black hair. “Could you not— Uh, I mean, sure thing! I’d love to! Just give me, uh, ten minutes and I’ll meet you there.” Ten minutes!? Why did he say that? He needed at least twenty! You’re not supposed to rush the hair straightening process! It’s a sacred ritual!

Rushing the sacred hair straightening ritual, he got it done in 15 minutes instead. Giving a quick check in the bathroom mirror that everything was in order – his hair wasn’t quite at the level he would have normally wanted but it would suffice – he rushed out the door and headed to the cafeteria. Moving at a swift walking pace, he made it to the wide (and considerably busy) hall. Lining up at the buffet and struggling to see past the mass of people in front of him, he grabbed some fruit salad and black tea with some milk. Only healthy stuff for him!... except for the chocolate muffin he also took. After searching for a minute or so, he spotted a recognisable blob of blonde hair, and made his way over to the table with a smile on his face.

“Ah, Monty, good morn—“ Regis trailed off as he saw a highly dangerous looking individual sitting across from his partner.

Who was this thug? He remembered Monty saying his twin sister was called Felicity, and that his friend was Nancy. Considering the woman resembled Monty as much as a human being resembled a piece of nuclear weaponry, he either assumed that this was Nancy or some random punk pestering the poor man. And considering the colour that surrounded the woman was either irritation, tiredness or some combination of the two, he knew instantly that this was some villain! In the Academy, of all places!

“Monty! Is this delinquent harassing you?!”

Sams phone began to ring with a tune from a game he enjoyed playing. He quickly grabbed his phone and shut off the alarm, he still had over an hour until he had to get up, it was only 5 in the morning at this point. He couldn't remember when he started the habit of setting an alarm over an hour before he needed it but it helped him get up in the morning so that was all that mattered. As he was falling back asleep he could swear he heard noise from Ruby's half of the room, was she getting up already? He didn't dwell on it, he just let his mind go blank as he drifted in to unconsciousness.

An hour later his second alarm sounded, he shut it off just the same and debated if he should get up now or wait for his final alarm in 15 minutes. Sam decided he enjoyed sleep too much to give it up, so he lay there in bed, eyes closed and half asleep for 15 more minutes. The 6 in the morning alarm was when he should get up, but he set the 6:15 alarm because he knew himself and knew he'd almost never get up at 6. But 15 minutes passed and the alarm sounded. Sam shut it off and debated how important a shower was, if he didn't shower that was nearly 30 more minutes he could sleep. This was a debate Sam often had with himself, but in the end he always decided to shower, he couldn't bear not having showered, he was always so gross in the morning.

As he got up and headed towards the bathroom he noticed a paper on the floor that wasn't there before. He picked it up to find it was a note from Ruby, it seemed Sam wasn't crazy and he did hear her at 5 in the morning. She went for a run and then to breakfast. Sam put the note down before getting himself in the shower. He enjoyed long showers, so it was good Ruby got ready so much earlier than Sam did, it meant no bathroom troubles. Sam let his mind wander, it landed on the thought of Ruby going for a run. He could never imagine doing that, if Sam was running he was either late or being chased. He also couldn't help but think of Ruby not knowing her ability. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a bit disappointed when she said she didn't know, but how must that feel for her? Sam couldn't imagine what it would be like not knowing his magic type, not knowing your ability must have been similar.

Sam finished his shower, brushed his teeth and got dressed. Checking his watch he saw it was 6:45, about the time he was expecting to be ready. Seeing as it was September and therefore still summer Sam was wearing his short sleeve shirt without the vest. He got down to the caf and grabbed himself an omelette with spinach, cheese, sausage, and mushrooms, a small bowl of cereal, and a couple of chocolate chip muffins. Sam was a man who enjoyed his breakfast, he knew all this food would catch up with him eventually, but for now he was going to enjoy his fast metabolism. He looked around and saw Ruby sitting by herself with her food already. Sam headed over and sat down with her, "morning Ruby, have a good run?" Despite Sam's trouble waking up he was a pretty good morning person, it was getting up that was always the issue.

6 AM. He had woken up around 6 AM. Strangely, he didn't feel all that tired. Was it like some kind of reverse jet lag? Or just how weird it was not waking up to the constant familiar sounds and smells of home. In half an hour, Leopoldo would wake up in crying fuss, and his nannies would be quietly bustling down the hall, to quiet him with milk. Luisa and Lucretia would wake up from the smell and want food too, making more noise. Lorenzo's two corgis would be up and whining, and one of the butlers would take them on a walk. At 7, Loretta and Levina would be up and bickering, fighting over the dresses they both always wanted to wear. And 15 minutes after that, Leonardo would start his morning piano practice. By 7:30, no one in the house could sleep from all the activity and cacophony, breakfast being prepared, endless talking, dogs barking, the days schedules being given out, children getting ready for school and playdates.

He decided there was no use in wasting time, and slowly got ready for school. He drew out his activities of showering, combing his hair, and getting dressed not out of respect for his partner, likely still asleep, but to eat up as much time as possible. Still, it only took him 30 minutes to be fresh and ready for the day. Damn. Maybe he needed a more extravagant morning routine?
God, this was boring. He still had half an hour to kill before breakfast. Maybe if he walked really slowly, it would be 7 by the time he got there.

He fixed the red tie on his uniform, aimlessly looking himself over in the mirror as he played back yesterday's events. He'd arrived in Prydain at the Lynden airport in the morning after a 5 hour flight, gotten straight on a train to Enklen, gone through the whole bonding ceremony with a very weird looking girl in all black (What, had she just come back from a funeral?), and spent the rest of the day re-exploring and goofing off. He was somewhat skeptical of the system this school used to determine compatibility. Was he really best matched with a strange, unfriendly-looking goth? They had even unbounded her from someone too. This place was weird.

"Hey, I'm going to breakfast, see you there."

Speak of the devil, there was his partner now. He guessed it was time for breakfast already.
"Ah, sì, I'll be right there!" He called, grabbing his bookbag and shoving in what he'd need for the day. Notebooks, pencil case, cellphone, whoopee cushion, all valid essentials for the day. He buckled up his bag, slung it over his shoulder, and hurried out the door to the dining hall.

He stood in line to get his food, a Prydainian-style omelet, fried potatoes called hash, bacon and a cafe latte. He was always surprised by the amount of food Prydainians ate for breakfast. In Lupinia most people had coffee or milk, accompanied by hard bread rolls or cookies. It was only supposed to be a small relaxed snack, but here it was a full meal. Meats, vegetables, cereals, pancakes, there was so much! How could people eat a frittata every day and not get fat? Even last year, he kept these big breakfasts to once a week. Today he wanted to fit in with his fellow students as much as possible.

He spotted Nancy after a little searching, all the uniforms made people look alike. He supposed he should sit down with her, since she was his partner. But she was already sitting with someone else, probably a friend from last year. And there was some short fancy looking guy making a big fuss. Part of him wanted to avoid the drama, but another part of him wanted to stick around. The little guy looked pretty high strung, maybe he could try something fun with him. After a long mental debate, he headed over, sitting next to Nancy and the new blonde boy, smiling.
"Good morning friends! You are excited for classes today, no?"

Richard Bateman

Richard knew himself well. He was well aware he was not a morning person. He was also not a late morning, noon, or early afternoon person. If you had asked him the time he woke up over the course of the summer, he'd he ashamed to say usually past 2 in the afternoon. So waking up at 6:00 in the morning was definitely not something he'd ever do willingly, even with an alarm. He knew this well.

Which was why the night before, he had perched his alarm clock precariously over his head before he went to sleep, knowing that if there was one thing that would jolt him from dreamland. He set it for six, climbed into bed, and apologized to his future self.

It still didn't mean he forgave his past self when it hit him.

Groaning in pain and holding his head, he fumbled and desperately tried to turn it off, fully awake by the time he did so. He dragged himself out of bed, trudging towards the bathroom. He stood underwater for probably ten minutes, his head throbbing and mood sour. Well, he'd be in a bad mood even if his past self hadn't been a dick. Mornings were not for him.

He dried off, got dressed and brushed his teeth and hair, putting on his glasses. He knew he had a scowl on his face, but he didn't care. He was gonna get a migraine if he didn't get coffee soon. He checked the time, it was about time for breakfast. He grabbed his bag, knocking on the partition door. He intended to say something along the lines of "Yo, Robert, I'm going to get some breakfast", but what came out was more along the lines of "Yaamghmamnfgabfest". Close enough.

Like a zombie, more dead than alive, he shuffled out the door and down the hall, subconsciously going through the motions of getting food, and more importantly, getting coffee. He actually didn't know what kind of food he'd gotten, looked like lobster hash with poached eggs. Worked for him, as long as he got the 5-6 cups of coffee he'd need to be human again. He trundled over to where Bee sat, lurching into his seat with all the grace of a recently reanimated corpse. He grunted out a greeting to her, immediately turning his attention to his coffee. Conversation could wait until he finished his second cup.

Felicity Goldberg

Felicity was used to her day starting early. 6:00 was usually when she woke up, getting out of bed and doing her morning stretches. Calisthenics were a great way to get ones blood pumping and muscles ready for the day. It was good to work up a little bit of a sweat, to open up your pores a little bit before you showered. That way the exfoliating face and body wash was at its most effective. She was careful with her shampoo and conditioning, so she wouldn't break her hairs when she scrubbed them. Then, while letting the conditioner sit, she'd shave her legs and pluck her brow, and apply medicine to any pimples so they would deflate.

After her hair was done, she returned to her room around 6:20, leaving the bathroom to her partner's use. Next, she pulled the chair of her desk closer to her vanity, and got out her elaborate makeup kit. Now came the most important part of the routine. Hiding that horrible scar on her face.

She had been applying makeup since she was a little girl, and had all the movements down to a practiced swipe and blot. Liquid concealer as a base, brushes to evenly apply it, powder puff to smooth and add more realistic color. By the time she was done, her scar was gone, the only evidence one could discern of it would be if they smudged right on her lip, and felt the slightly pocketed skin. Short of that, her weakness was invisible, and she highly doubted anyone would be smudging right between her mouth and nose.

A little eyeliner, mascara, and lip balm completed her look. A final brush of her hair and the securing of her uniform, and she was ready for the day! Grabbing her bag, she walked to the partition, knocking on it gently.
"Korrey! It's Felicity! Would you like to walk to breakfast together?" she called. If he did, then she could reintroduce him to Monty, and hopefully her brother would be more hospitable to him if he knew he was her partner. Oh! And he could meet Nancy! They would definitely get along!

Monty

Monty sat, sipping his coffee contentedly when he heard the familiar voice of Nancy. A quick glance around showed that Felicity hadn't arrived yet, but he wasn't too put off by that, he had Nancy after all. And although he was worried about Felicity's partner, he pushed the thoughts aside. Felicity could take care of herself. Focusing back on Nancy, he flashed a smile and waved a little with his fork.

"Oh, hey Nancy! Good to see you! You look...tired"

Nancy always looked a bit frightening in the mornings, her goth appearance didn't help much. Monty himself had been told he could be off putting in the mornings as well, with it being much too early in the day to warrant such happiness. But he couldn't help but be excited by the prospect of a new day, now that had not only his sister and friends but also a partner! Oh right, partners, he should ask Nancy how her introduction with her own went.

"Things are going pretty good! My partner and I got done unpacking last night, it was a bit difficult, he had a lot of boxes. He's, uh, interesting." His thoughts ran back to his partners slightly odd behavior and the confrontation with his maid. "He seems very nice though! I invited him to join us for breakfast, he said he'd be here-" Monty cut himself off as the very person he had been speaking of approached them.

"Good morning Regis!" Monty flashed him a smile, only for it to morph into an expression of confusion. Regis had asked about a delinquent? What delinque- Oh. Ohhh, that's who he meant. Monty grimaced, panicking slightly as he searched for a way to defuse the situation before it got worse.

"Nope! No, uh, not at all!" He waved his hands quickly, attempting to show Regis that everything was fine. "See, this is Nancy! She's the one I told you about earlier, she's great friends with Feli and I. Nancy, meet Regis. He's my partner. Uh, Regis, buddy, everything fine! Why don't you sit with us?"

He turned in his seat to face Nancy, giving her a strained smile. Well, introductions were going well. Yup, things were just great. Not awkward at all. God, where was Felicity when you needed her? She always knew how to turn a situation like this right again.

Another boy Monty didn't recognize came and sat at their table with and began speaking, drawing Monty out of his totally not panicking. Well he didn't personally know the new boy, it was possible he knew either Nancy or Regis, and even if not Monty was never one to deny the opportunity for more friends. Who knows, maybe the boy just felt lonely, either way, Monty turned to face him with a half smile.

"Oh, good morning! Uh yeah, at least I am for sure." He thought about offering a handshake, but decided it might be too formal for the setting and settled on a small wave at the other boy instead. "I'm Monty Goldberg by the way."

Suddenly, he remembered what he had wanted to tell his friend and turned to face her. "Oh yeah! Nancy, I'm taking cooking this year, and Regis is too! Although I doubt he needs it, he says he can cook already, along with tons of other cool stuff." He sat back and grinned, rubbing the back of his neck. He hoped he hadn't sounded too excited or weird, he was just happy he hand't gotten someone completely rude or crazy. He'd heard of some partners who spent the year not being able to stand each other, and although he highly doubted there could be anyone in the school who was as horrible as some rumors suggested, he couldn't help but be relieved.

"And what about you two?" He asked, addressing Nancy and the boy who had joined their table. "What did you decide on for electives?"

Beatrice

Bee gave no response other than a similar grunt to her best friend as Richard sat down with her, looking as tired as she felt. She was content to continue drinking her coffee and making her way through breakfast in silence, at least until the two of them became more coherent than they were at the moment. She was used to the morning ritual, and knew Richard wouldn't stop being an even grumpier than usual zombie until he'd finished a certain amount of coffee. She herself wasn't much of a morning person, but her usual energy would kick back in with enough time and caffeine. The familiarity of the scene was comforting in a way, easing away the nervousness she felt at the return of school and the sacramentum.

It didn't last for long however, as she slowly remembered the previous evening and following morning. The silence was broken as she groaned loudly and dropped her head into her hands. The evening had gone fine, she had chosen horticulture for an elective, but it was the morning that had her embarrassed. She had just left, without a word to Jeanette! She was fairly sure that was considered rude in most places. Like, everywhere. Ugh, and she had been trying to make a good impression! Letting out another groan, she brought her face out from under her arms slightly to look at her friend.

"Richard, I think I screwed up with my partner. I just left this morning, without saying anything! Now she's going to think I'm some rude girl with no knowledge of social conventions! Which just adds another level of awkwardness to our already really awkward introduction." Running one hand through her hair, she huffed a sigh and pouted. "I'm hoping you had a better introduction with your partner? You looked pretty nervous, how did it go?"

Mikayla Iovine

Mikayla woke up at five in the morning as she had a lot of work to do if she wanted to look good on the first day. She was unsure whether or not Alice was awake or not, but decided to be as quiet as she could so she wouldn't disturb her roommate. She hobbled over to the bathroom to get ready. She had noticed that her ankle had mostly healed, but she was keeping her weight off of it to be safe. Hopefully, she wouldn't need to use those atrociously grey crutches.

The first thing she needed to do was take a shower to help wake herself up. She turned on the water and waited for it to reach optimal temperature before stripping off her clothes and hopping in. If she wasn't in a rush to make it to the cafeteria in time for breakfast, she would have soaked in the showers for as long as she could. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, so she immediately reached for her shampoo. Her fingers were rather slippery with water, so when she grabbed the bottle, it slipped out of her hand with a thud. She silently screamed, hoping that Alice wouldn't hear that.

Eventually, she finished her shower and began to blow dry her hair. It was rather loud, but there was no way around it. Once she was done, she left the bathroom, got her curling iron and began to meticulously curl her hair so each curl would be exactly the same and perfect. The process with her hair alone had taken an hour. When she was satisfied, she applied a little bit of foundation to hide whatever blemish she could have and mascara to lengthen her eyelashes. To finish her look, she put on her favorite pink lip gloss.

She sighed as she looked at her uniform that was resting on her desk. She reluctantly put it on and looked at her reflection in the mirror. Despite the drab uniform, she didn't look too bad. She ran her fingers through her hair, and debated whether or not to leave it down or tie it up. After a couple minutes of tousling, she decided to keep it down and was ready.

She checked the clock and saw that it was already 6:50. "Alice! Are you ready? If not, I'm going to leave for the cafeteria without you!" she said loudly so she can be heard through the sliding wall.

Robert Allen

While his partner was a lazybones that didn't like getting up early, Robert was already sipping on his first cup of coffee by time Richard stumbled into the cafeteria. He smiled and closed his eyes, always able to appreciate a good cup of coffee. Black, and untouched by the evils of sugar and cream. He saw Richard go to sit with another friend of his, and decided to follow after him with his precious black gold, pancakes, and strawberry tartlet. He made his way to the table, and pulled up a chair across from him, "Welcome back to the world of the living." He said, setting his food down. He turned to Bee and introduced himself, "I'm Robert, Richard's partner." He said, his tone coming off as a little short. He didn't mean to be, but talking to strangers was hard, and not his forte. He began to cut into his pancakes, and plopped a piece into his mouth.

"You know, you were pretty dead this morning, you think you'll be able to adjust your sleep schedule soon?" He asked, half jokingly. It was pretty important that his partner get himself on track. He didn't want to have a dead weight partner, after all. Robert paused now, realizing he'd kinda just stormed into Richard's breakfast, probably going off before he even knew what was happening. He turned red for a moment, and said, "Uh, not that it's an issue though." He said, trying to recover.

Ruby Doer

Ruby was checking her watch, hoping Sam wasn't sleeping in, when she heard his voice. She looked up to see him walking over to her table. "Oh, good morning." She said to him as he sat down. It came off as kind of formal though...she really had to work on that. Perhaps once she got to know him more her tone would ease up, but then again MJ often told her she was very formal as well so who really knew. "Oh and um, yes I did. There aren't too many students up and out at that time in the morning so it was nice." Well, that certainly came off as anti-social. Ugh... "A-Anyways, did you sleep well? I had a much easier time sleeping than last semester. It's nice to have your own room after all." She added, starting to eat her food now that Sam was here. She hoped that he wasn't going to mention her powers again. It didn't seem like it from the awkwardness that was brought up when she told him she didn't know, but she had prepared some questions to try and distract him with on her run earlier, just in case.

Nancy Jones

Noise. All there was noise now. So many people were speaking to her or around her. There was Monty who she heard first, telling her about his partner until said partner came over and called her a delinquent. This honestly wasn't anything new to Nancy. Even before she became a goth, people thought she was a thug at first glance with just how her facial expression was. Thankfully anyone that spent even a bit of time around her usually came to see she wasn't this horrible delinquent character, usually though. While later Nancy would hope that Regis would see that she was the furthest thing from being a delinquent. For now, though, Nancy was too tired to even give his words some mind. So as Monty was trying to fix any misunderstandings, she just raised up a hand in a sleepy greeting and said "Yo".

But that wasn't the end of things. A boy she didn't really recognize came over and sat down next to her and started talking to her and Monty and Regis. Nancy stared at him as Monty introduced himself (no doubt making the guy think she was contemplating punching him), trying to figure out how she knew him. And then, as the coffee finally kicked into full gear, he dawned on her. "Oh! You're my partner!" She said loudly and suddenly. L-Lu-Luk...Luciano! That's right! Luciano this is my friend Monty and his partner, Regis!" Now that her brain was kickstarted, Nancy was smiling and had a pleasant tone to her voice, as was her usual way.

Then she heard what Monty told her next and got a little embarrassed. "Oh! That's great! I'm glad you're going to be taking cooking! I um...well...Rasmodius told me that I couldn't I had to focus on my magic more this year so I'm taking gardening. I really wanted to take cooking with you guys but I guess them's the breaks. But hey! At least you're partnered with someone that can cook!" Nancy told him happily. "So that should be fun! You two can help each other." Then she turned to Luciano and asked sheepishly, "Um, what did you want to take again?"

"Well first, let me say that wanting to run when no one is around sounds like the way to do it," he started cutting in to his omelette as he spoke, "now, I'm not one to run just for the hell of it. But if I did, I would want to do it without spectators....maybe a running buddy to keep me motivated. Sam had a bite of omelette and a thought occurred to him, did he really hate running? He thought he hated it, when he was younger he wasn't too keen on it, but maybe he'd changed. Maybe if he couldn't sleep at 5 in the morning he might ask Ruby one time to try running with her. He let the thought pass and continued talking, "as for sleep, it was about as good as it can be. Nothing can compare to my bed at home, y'know? But the beds here are pretty nice too."

Sam was quiet a few moments while he continued eating, then he realized something and grinned, "history is the first class of the day, isn't it? That's pretty good, start the day off with a pretty easy class." Sam figured if the class was taught by anyone other than Sir Hives then he wouldn't enjoy it nearly as much. That was someone Sam looked up to, he hoped one day he will have traveled the world as much if not more than Sir Hives had. Who knows, maybe after Sam retired he might decide to become the new history teacher at St. Fortuna's. The class was also easy because Sir Hives almost never assigned homework, Sam was awful with homework, he was of the mind that schoolwork should not follow you out of the classroom.

Regis Dimitrios

Regis narrowed his eyes as colours of panic began to sour through his partner as he denied the delinquent’s claims. This was highly suspicious. Was the colour panic? Or fear! Or both! No matter how you looked at him, it was way too suspicious. Was his poor, pitiable partner being threatened into silence by that hoodlum? Why, if it wasn't for Regis' newfound skill, he might have believed Monty's panicked explanation. Truly a useful ability!

"Hm. Yes, I see," he said, sitting down next Monty. He would be silent for now. Who knew to what depth this 'Nancy' fiend had a hold of his precious partner. "Nice to meet you, Nancy," he said, over-emphasising her name in a way that he thought probably sounded threatening, and glared daggers at the hooligan. He was onto her. Making the poor man pretend he was friends with her, even when not being around her! Regis continued to stare 'menacingly' at the woman across from them as he scooped up fruit salad to his mouth.

Some other fellow came by, plopping himself down in the group. Apparently he was the delinquent's partner. Then he too could not be trusted! Surely it was fitting for a hoodlum to be partnered with another hoodlum, even if the guy did seem fairly unassuming at first glance. Since when was the Academy full of such shady figures?

"Nice to meet you, Luciano," he said with the same perplexing faux-menace as he did with Nancy, and managed to stop himself from adding 'if that is your real name'. “So Monty, how did you meet your friend here?”

TALIA NITRO

Assuming that Talia and Leo went into town for a quick bite to eat, this post will be continued. It was just a small town diner that they had passed by seemed like the most suitable place, right next to one of the in town canals. Talia and Leo got to know each other a bit more, talking over some drinks and some food. After having a nice little chat and looking around town together, they had headed back to the dorms. It is also assumed that they had finished unpacking and setting up in their rooms, and had gone to sleep. Well not for Talia, she was more of a night person in all honesty. She stayed up late browsing the online websites and such that she usually frequented. She eventually fell asleep ready for the next day.

She awoke late, for she had slept in as to be expected from someone who had stayed up for most of the night. She stretched and looked around, sitting up slowly and looking around. She took her stuff and headed into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the day. Unaware that she had slept late she took her time and moved sluggishly, slowly washing her hair and the such. She got out of the shower and dried off, getting dressed and drying her hair. She brushed her teeth and then walked back into the main dorm room, her side of course. She didn't bother to fix her sheets and the such.

She checked her custom design watch and came to the sudden realization that she had awoken later than she had originally planned to. She had a mini heart attack and started to rush around with her stuff. She grabbed her bag and then stuffed all the essential things that she thought she would need. She grabbed her laptop and carefully placed it in her colorful backpack. Without checking to see if Leo was still there she left the room and started to make her way towards the dining hall, walking with a bit of a fast gait. This didn't bode well, a bad omen of sorts, being late to breakfast on the first day.

She finally arrived at the dining hall and entered it, still being very sleepy. She grabbed her food and went to find a seat, looking for someone she knew to sit with, looking like a lost puppy searching around aimlessly for one of her friends.

Korrey

Felicity;s inquiry would be answered by a sudden thump, as if something heavy had landed on the floor. After a short while, Korrey would slide the room divider open, wiping the sweat of his brow with a towel. Behind him, she would be able to see a bunch of exercise equipment laying around, including a few compact travel-sized versions of the more intensive machines that each had some sort of glowing crystal situated along their frame in some fashion.

"I must've really been into the work out today, because I didn't even hear you get up." Korrey said in a somewhat exhausted fashion, dressed in some loose fitting black pants, made from a light and breezy material, as well as tighter more athletic shirt that seemed to be made of similar material. Wiping his sweat-laden hair out of his eyes, Korrey looked down at her through the tinted lens of his athletic sunglasses, glad he had remembered to set them somewhere nearby this moment just in case of a situation like this. "Sure, yeah. Just give me a sec to get better dressed. Got to follow that dress code and what not? Mind waiting for me in the hall?"

Korrey gave a quick grin as he slide the partition closed once more, though not before listening to whatever response Felicity decided to give. After a quick shower, he would quickly burst out the dorm in his uniform, though it was obviously adorned with haste given how the tie wasn't properly tied and he was still fumbling with the belt a bit. "God, I hate formal wear." He muttered under his breath, throwing his hands up in defeat after a little more fumbling as he gave up on finishing the tie, leaving it to hang loose around his neck. "Well, at least one of us will look good going down to the cafeteria. I just hope none of the teachers get on me about it before I can find someone to tie this damn noose for me." Korrey gave a his roommate a small grin before breaking into a light jog ahead of her.

Come on, let's get to the food already. I dunno about you,I'm starving after my workout today and I'm going to need some fuel if I want to get through the day.

Jeanette Blackwood

In the morning after meeting(and waving farewell to) the Golden haired harpy, Jeanette found herself to be rather alone. Upon waking a bit later than she usually did, she found that her partner's side of the room was left rather empty, which left her feeling a bit put out. They had talked for a bit after everything that had happened with the Harpy, but she had been hoping to get to learn a bit more about her this morning.

Not to surprised though, she seemed like such a flighty little thing, she probably rushed out as soon as she woke up. With a yawn, she climbed out of bed looking to her left to see the small, crushed form of the rose from yesterday. With a small smile, she reached out to feel it's petals, focusing her magical energies into it for a small time to help it recover from its ordeal. After she finished caring for the flower, Jeanette would proceed to go through her daily ritual, taking a quick shower using some home-made herbal soaps and perfumes, followed up by apply a light coat of make-up, before finally throwing on her uniform and walking out the door.

She soon found herself at the Dining hall, seeming to be looking at the menu while actually scanning around for both her partner and any. . . interesting subjects to cast her attention on.

Cerulean Lion

Leo found that he enjoyed the night out with his new partner, further cementing the idea that, indeed, fate could have done him much worse with his choice of partners. She wasn't perfect, but neither was he, and neither of them needed to be. So long as she could adequately cover his weaknesses and act within the bounds of proper decorum as an upstanding citizen, there was nothing he would take issue with.

Once they returned, he shortly fell asleep after some light reading as was his habit. He slept early and got up even earlier, always an hour-and-a-half before he needed to be going. That extra time was spent on physical activity - so while Talia was dead to the world (and sure enough, she wouldn't wake up until much later), Leo was out jogging. He ran for about 8 kilometers before finishing off with calisthenics and returning.

A quick bath and a review of his schedule later, and he was ready to leave. He knocked on the sliding door that kept the room divided and asked, "Talia, are you ready to leave yet?"

Silence was his only answer, so he assumed that his partner had most likely left already.

"Hm, surprisingly diligent of her . . ."

Without further preamble, Leo hefted his bag and made way towards the dining hall. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't starving, and while it was somewhat undignified, the moment he entered the hall he filled his plate to the brim with food - enough to feed five people, by his estimate. He even caught a few looks his way as he passed through the hall with plate in hand.

He wasn't obligated to explain himself.

In any case, he sat alone, not out of habit or because of a lack of acquaintances (though that was certainly a factor) but because he felt more comfortable dining alone. As he saw it, there were only two reasons to eat food - for nutrients, or for social reasons - if it were the latter, then the food was a mere after thought to make the presence of other people that much more savory, but right now he dined for the former, and as such, he gave the food his full, undivided attention. Talking to people when he didn't have to took away from the experience of eating, especially when the food was good - and the food served at this near mythical dining hall was definitely not lacking in any way.

Alice Amanda Anette Anderson

Passionate Songbird

Alice had gotten up at around the same time that her partner had, though before showering she took a moment to listen to a few hit pieces that she had bought recently. Despite her own growing fame as a performer she still had the same admiration for talented artists that she'd held as a child. She supposed some things really didn't change no matter how old you got.

It was around the 14th track when she noticed her roommate was up, mostly by virtue of hearing the shower running. Looking at the time, she decided it was probably best that she get on with it. She'd rather not have to rush on the first day of classes after all!

Immediately after Mikayla finished her bath, she rushed in, clothes in her arms. During her time as a theater actress she'd developed a habit of moving as quickly as possible, only doing what was necessary at the time. After a years of living like this, parts of this habit began slipping into her daily life as well. All-in-all, she only took less than half an hour to finish bathing and make herself look presentable. Any other day, she probably wouldn't have to rush so much.

By the time her partner called out to her, she was ready and waiting, bag in hand and a pair of earphones slinking down from her ears.

"Ready to go, partner~" she announced cheerfully. Without a pause, Alice stepped outside of the room, waiting for Mikayla before making her way towards the dining hall. She was feeling giddy all over, a radiant grin on her pretty face as she anticipated her first day of classes and the excitement it would bring. Last year she had scarce time to focus on things like getting along with her classmates or school activities, so she had hardly made any meaningful relationships inside of school.

Now, however, with her explicit desire to focus on her studies for the moment, and without having any big productions scheduled, there was nothing holding her back from enjoying her life as a student.
