Lorenzo had just finished placing his deposit in the bank before he walked out and saw someone calling out to all the adventurers nearby. He sighed softly as he explained that a back of oni were coming this way and honestly Lorenzo didn't think much off it even as someone made the comment about the lobster. He knew that this was a good mob and farming opportunity and it stood to reason that they may even come across a field boss as they fought which was interesting. Sadly Lorenzo knew that he wasn't equipped to take on an entire mob since he has so little health however he did know that assassins burst damage could really turn the tide in any battle. Lorenzo then started to look around to see if anyone would be willing to have him in their group, maybe if this went well he would find his new master along the way...

A cold wind followed Tachyon wherever he went, as if he had just opened the stone door to a frozen crypt, as he walked back into town, holding an ominous bundle. Those who passed by him whispered what could such a dark looking man could be carrying with him. Perhaps skulls or flesh for some ritual, maybe ill-gotten golden gains, maybe some gems of dark magic. The fact that cloaked was wearing a tricorn hat that seemed to always cast a shadow over his face, obscuring it from view. No doubt the Landers were even more suspicious as mothers hurried their children past the figure and his gleaming scythe as it made its way to the marketplace, drifting in and out of shadows.

Splitting the crowds with his mere presence, the Adventurer stood in front of a stall selling a variety of alchemical regents maned by Landers although no one was current at the front. Onlookers nervously watched as they made their way past, the dark colors and unsettingly feeling of the man clashing with the brightly colored and vibrant stand, just inches away from the sharp edge of the scythe.

"Someone there?" An old gruff voice spoke from behind a curtain before walking out, towel in gloved hands. His face immediately lit up when he saw the figure in black, "Ahhh! Tachyon! I see you're returned from the bog! You find the things?"

"Yessir." the adventurer removed his hat and cleared his throat, dropping a skull sized burlap bag, "Crypt Fungus, Rotwood, Grave Grass, Feral Bone Dust, everything you said. Minus the Twilight Rose though, I couldn't find it even with the help of my summons."

"Well, you've gone and done yourself a fine job sir. Here's you payment, sugared water and fruits. The work you've done for me and my family is honestly great. I don't think I could have gone in that acurssed swamp myself to fetch these ingredints."

Suddenly, a flash of long blonde hair burst from the curtain and a young girl jumped up into the merchant's arms and saw Tachyon, "Daddy! Daddy! Is he the Adventurer you were talking about?"

"Yes I am." Tachyon put his hat over his heart and bowed slightly, "I've been gathering stuff for people these past few days. It gives me something to do besides sleep and do nothing. The fruits are just welcomed gifts. And who might you be little one?"

"She's my daughter, Anna." the old merchant tickled the girl who burst into laughter and flailing, "She sometimes tags along with me to work, ball of energy aren't ya?"

"Mhm!" Anna gave a big wide smile before putting a finger to her mouth and recalling, "Say, Mr. Adventurer, are you going to be fighting the big monster too?"

"Big monster?" Tachyon tilted his head, a small spark of excitement igniting in him for a brief second before he was dragged in close by the man who let go of his daughter.

"Don't tell anyone else this, but one of the servants of the royal court who sometimes drops by at the orders of the court physician told me that they believe something big is heading towards the city and they've been debating about dragging you Adventurers in to solve it. Don't ask me what it is exactly, I don't know either but the boy told me that he hasn't seen the court in this much panic in a long time. Apparently the King is supposed to make a speech about it as well today."

"Really? You know it to be true?"

"What good does a servant have lying to an old man like me, Necromancer?"

"Hmmm.... do you know any more about this?"

A large crowd began to form as a regally dressed man appeared on a stage from down the lane. Without even saying anything, both men knew what was bout to happen and Tachyon took off immediately. The King's speech was the Lander's nobility attempt at solving the problem of the Oni horde. With little hesitation, Tachyon rose his hand in the air and waved his scythe from the way back, "I will partake in this. If nothing else, it is a break from boredom!"

There was a decent chance he would make himself look like a fool being the first one to volunteer for the task and an equally great chance he'd be one of the few or only ones to do it. However, it didn't bother him all that much for he was doing this to sate his own need of something interesting and altruism. Besides, he could summon his own party if none accepted him.

Meren, The Shieldmaiden

Interacting with: @Artymis@Rekaigan

Matsuko, safe to say certainly had a colourful reaction to Meren's offer of food, what with the slight dribbling and the look of pure excitement on her face at the mere mention of foodstuffs. The reaction Meren had was to quickly pulling away her hands after Matsuko had grabbed them and wiped them on the cloth part of her gauntlets. "Glad your excited Matsuko." She said smiling as she held her thumbs up in a way to keep the mood high. Something to whimsically distract from the earlier confrontation and the stupidity of the previous scenario stupidity which existed in numerous accounts. Matsuko hadn't done Meren's type of solution to the issue but she couldn't dislike her for it. People reacted differently. If this was how it was prior Meren would have taken a step back from the computer to get a drink but... She was part of the game now so. That wasn't really an option and she'd have to deal with this social awkwardness.

Speaking of social awkwardness, she had to address the man with a personality she could cut herself with. Well, she wouldn't say that to his face. He had done nothing wrong and she had no place to make statements on anything to do with odd quirks in a persons personality, She carried a giant shield for gods sake! Well he had also agreed as well so that simply made the matter settled. He had even offered to go half way, again proving her slightly wrong on his dickishness. "Great then it is settled lets get going back to town for some food and drink." Meren said as she started walking on in front. She was usually one to go take the lead in scenarios. She called back to them both. "Maybe after that meal we could do dungeons or something, as you do in this game."

-10 or so minutes later-

After a while of walking and Meren discussing foodstuff and what she liked to eat, they had eventually arrived back at the town. She led them through the streets thinking of where to eat... Silver spoons were usually open to serve at this time. "They would be perfectly fine to go t- oh" Merens train of thought was instantly broken by the congregation of people in the town square. They had arrived just in term for a Lander Noble to begin his speech. "Event Time..." Meren said as she turned back to her group after listening to what had been said. Her eyes were lit up with a sort of fire only a cleric would have for such things. Now the gamer part of her mind was ticking slightly. "Right, I think everyone here could get along for this event. So we could already have a party of three, Since I am more aligned for a healing role due to my class... That leaves you, Matsuko at the front lines as your the only one capable of doing drawing and dealing with hate the most effectively, I mean I might be capable of tanking the hits but I cannot easily manage hate..." Meren paused for a moment looking at aries, "Obviously, I think your on damage duty... Meren said stifling any ill will she had for the good of the party composition, shes had to do it so many times it was like second nature. "Though, to get a full party I think we need either another Tank or a damage dealing/utility class" She said turning around to scan the crowd before looking back. "You guys know anyone that fits that bill?" She said, her eyes still glimmering at the prospect of loot, glorious mineral loot, the blacksmiths dream.

Gaumont drew a big smile as Sonia just noticed the wolf-fang's tail wagging. After her question Sonia gave a teasing wink before tossing him one of her alcoholic drinks. It seemed he liked it when she petted him, and so for that reaction and that reaction alone she decided he was worth a happy drink! It was very adorable to see such a giant wolf guy enjoy a delicate touch of a girl her size. It was then that she saw the big lander guy step up, asking for the clown's stage, and made his announcement.

Apparently, there was a large gathering of oni were moving toward Kyoto. If memory served, this was a yearly event in the game, though she could be wrong. At first, Sonia was excited for the prospect of more loot and equipment, but then a sudden thought struck her. We're actually in the game aren't we? And we have not seen the oni actually make it to Kyoto have we? This thought cut short all other thoughts she had as she closed her eyes and began contemplating it. Though they couldn't die....what about the landers? Do they respawn like them or are they gone forever? They were darker thoughts than she usually had, but the prospect of people's lives potentially in danger made it justified.

Visibly, Sonia's face turned less into excitement and more of concern. Her darker thoughts turned toward what other adventurers might be thinking. Sure, some of them would be more selfish and not care about saving the town, and that was fine. They would get plenty of loot out of it. What did concern her was that there wouldn't be enough adventurers. Much as she despised it, some of the adventurers would have given up and stay in town. They wouldn't want to die despite being able to resurrect. She's already seen so many of that type. Ignoring what the clown just said about the guy being a lobster lord, Sonia decided to voice her concerns in a serious tone as if a switch was flipped. "Something tells me that if this is not done, Kyoto and all of those landers will really be in trouble." She said after the wolf-fang's statements, though she couldn't help but feel slight excitement for the challenge once she got it off of her chest. A challenge....she might actually enjoy this. Being a champion of justice....that was something she couldn't ever do back in the other world. Regardless, she awaited the response of her request for joining the party.

As the three made their way back to town, Matsuko's mind was filled with all the dishes she was going to order back at the Guild restaurant. She was so deep in thought that she ended up accidentally walking into one of the people that had gathered to listen to some person speaking. The hungry Samurai snapped out of her thoughts to see who was making such a grand speech. It was a Person of Land? A Samurai no less. Matsuko couldn't help but fiddle with the hilt of her Carver as the man mentioned 'Oni', it felt as though her blade shudder in excitement. She was actually quite fond Oni in Elder Tale, if you were to ask her for the reasons why, she probably couldn't describe it well. But it was mostly about their overall design within the game. Now she was able to take one on, face-to-face, in an event that was quite common when this was still a game.

When the Samurai had finished speaking, her gaze turned back to Meren, who spoke about their roles in the party. She nodded in agreement, her excited expression fading back to it's normal state. She was still excited for the event, but food had to wait for awhile. "Leave it to me." She responded with a slight smile. She had been in raids before, so she was quite confident in her own ability to manage hate.

She looked around to look for people to fill their party, DPS classes preferably. Her eyes searched the crowd, only to notice someone.. Who looked like a Butler? She checked his status:
Name: 'Silver'
Level: 80
Class: <Assassin>
Subclass: <Butler>

She glanced at Aries for a moment and decided that the two Assassins were different in some way. She approached the Butler, tapping him on the shoulder. "Would you like to join our party for this event?" She asked in a straight foward manner, sending him a party invite. She couldn't help but think that it was strange to be a Butler subclass without a Master nor a guild, but she wasn't about to say anything.. Maybe later.

@Rekaigan

Silver sighed softly as he started to wonder if be was glowing to gave to go in alone. After all an assassin was meant to be able to stand on their own but the fact was that silver had the heart of a butler he was meant to fight for someone. He could fight on his own sure but he felt most at home giving his master some tea before following them to the battlefield and since he was wandering he felt out of place.

He was about to leave when he felt a trap on his shoulder making him turn around to find a young woman asking if he wanted to join their party. It was true that silver had no party and no other obligations besides it would be nice to serve as their dps since it seems they have only one other assassin. Silver then turned to the woman and bowed in a fluid motion and said "you honor me senorita, I am known as silver" he said with a heavy Hispanic accent before he agreed to the party invite and stood straight up waiting for her to lead on. It was clear he took his subclass as a butler seriously and as such acted accordingly.

Chiaki Uehara

Slow...slow...slooooooow...the day was fucking boring for a certain disinterested foxtail. A couple of the usual of people trying to mope and somehow magically go home while she scratched at her ears, still not quite used to the feeling. Almost got ganked outside the city yesterday, and now most people in the city were too pussyfooted to take a step out. Well...not like street concerts made her any gold nowadays. People were tight pursed since PKers started basically being bandits. Regardless, there wasn't much to do moping at a cramped room at the local inn and so she opted to talk a walk outside her room once more with The King, polished and tuned to perfection as she strutted on out, taking a moment to hide her racial traits. Last thing she needed was someone asking to touch her tail...weirdos.

Town center was just where she happened to be when the announcement of an event going on occured. "Huh...I think I remember something like this happening before...ah well, gold's gold." she thought to herself, putting her hands behind her neck as she tried to find anybody tolerable in the crow-WAIT WAS THAT MEREN? Aw hell yeah! She knew that minidress armor from anywhere!

Smiling as she removed her hands from behind her neck and instead cracking them, Chiaki bounced up and down on her feet three times before a streak of violet light took her place and zipped through the crowd at about torso level for a normally sized human, Phantom Stepping her way right behind Meren to tap her on the shoulder, then Phantom Step once more in front of her, leaving an after image behind her. "Hey hey, Meren! Long time no see!" she said before Stepping behind Meren once more, leaving another image in front as she'd done before. "Wanna team up and beat some ass? The King's been doing great! Can play it even better now." she added, before dashing forward again, a smile tearing at her lips. "Soooo...you down?" she asked as her afterimages faded, the foxtail beaming at the prospect of something to DO.

Aries

To put it bluntly, Aries was confused at the series of events that had unfolded around him. The first thing that he saw, along with the two girls that he was accompanying was a Samurai clad in red armour, pleading to the adventurers to help him in return for a large amount of riches. Aries knew what it was almost instantaneously the moment that Oni were mentioned. It was an event that many adventurers had done when the game had still existed, and he had read somewhere about an event that occurred when it hadn't been completed, yet he had never seen it even when staring in front of his PC, rather than in real life, so he was quite interested to see if some new content could catch his eye.

Aries was fairly sure that they were all thinking the same thing when Meren spoke. She proposed that they get along and form a party for the event, which in honesty, he did have qualms with but due to the circumstances and his seemingly endless depth of boredom, he couldn't bring himself to refuse the offer. Meren had put him on DPS duty, which was obvious given his class, whilst those had to be tanking. He didn't feel comfortable leaving the women to take the hits, and although this wasn't the real world, he felt as if it was extremely un-masculine, making him feel uneasy. She proposed that they find some more party members, which whilst he wasn't opposed to, he was scared of what they could possibly find given what they seemed to focus on.

That is when he noticed Matsuko speaking to an assassin after a short word to the party. He looked extremely odd, somebody with the butler subclass that was donned in a suit. He seemed to speak in a spanish accent and he shared the same class as him, even though they seemed to play completely different builds and held different weapons. He figured that a team with 2 assassins would be overly stacked with squishy characters, but he did not feel like complaining, as it would slow the process of actually getting to the raid down, and he did not wish for that to occur. He had been aching to hit something all day.

The events that unfolded after became seemingly more ridiculous as one of Meren's acquaintances seemed to notice her and greet her, and she did not look like somebody Aries would get along with. A hyperactive foxtail, but he didn't have any complaints about a high level bard joining the party. He figured that what was needed within the party was another support. The team seemed to have enough tank and damage, so something that enhanced both would be quite useful to attaining victory. If they were to obtain one more piece to the puzzle, he figured they'd be ready to go.

"Our party is nearly full now, it seems. Perhaps we should look for a final member to complete our group. That'd be the best course of action in my opinion." Aries spoke in an almost neutral tone. He didn't really feel much emotion in the current situation, so his voice came out rather dry and unimposing.

Meren, The Shieldmaiden

Meren watched Matsuko recruiting another party memeber as she checked the parameters of the butler looking fellow. He seemed like he'd be a useful enough assassin after all more DPS is welcome in any party. So with all that it looked like they would need an-. Meren's train of thought was instantly interrupted by the sudden tap on her shoulder... Who in god's name could want her now. Meren sighed heavily and turned around expecting a group of sweaty efficiency nerds as usual well that was a lie. Considering she would also be seen as an efficency nerd herself so... her terrible choice of words aside she spun on her heels to see who it was that wanted her attention.

It was someone she actually knew personally at least as an acquaintance. It was the foxtail bard that had asked her to create her the guitar she was currently going on about. "Yea, great to see its working as intended." Meren said grinning as she just stared at one point in an attempt to not go cross-eyed from the after images. Her vision only really snapping to attention when the foxtail finally stopped moving. "Oh I am 150% down for kicking some oni-ass" Meren said grinning now that her purple eyes were finally focused on her foxtail friend. "Welcome aboard to the team Chiaki, your our 5th member... and I think thats enough for us all." Meren said turning back to the group listening to what Aries had to say before speaking up. "Actually Aries I think we have enough people as is." Meren said as she motioned to everyone. "Basically all roles have been filled so.... I guess we can move out when everyone is ready to go." Meren said finishing off with a sort of motioned flourish of excitement.

Matsuko wasn't really expecting the Butler to bow to her, but she just assumed it was appropriate if he was a roleplayer. She noticed something odd about the way Silver spoke. Was it just an accent? Perhaps he spoke a different language. Either way, she noticed the auto-translation system kicking in. The Samurai couldn't help but bow back to the Butler, feeling a little awkward. "Nice to meet you, I'm Matsuko." she replied with slight uncertainty. She wasn't familiar with the whole roleplay thing. In the background she heard someone greeting Meren with some enthusiasm. Perhaps a friend of hers? She seemed pretty energetic.. Troublesomely so, but as long as they were a good person..

She looked at their current party roster. She felt a little concerned due to the amount of DPS players in the group. Samurai only had short-ranged Hate management, unlike Guardian's Anchor Howl. Another tank would've been nice, but she noticed that most of them had joined a party already. She'll just have to fight even harder than usual then.

Meren's excitement was slightly contagious as Matsuko internally hyped herself up for the challenge of the event. "I wonder if it's already started..?" She wondered aloud, her hand resting on the pommel of her blade.

An even larger, almost Cheshire grin tore at Chiaki's lips once Phantom Step went on cooldown and her pal said that she was allowed in on the party. Even if she didn't know them, she kinda assumed that by association with Meren they were alright enough. Besides, now she'd have a mobile captive audience to help kill some oni. Taking a peek at the party status screen once her request was accepted, the foxtail would kind of look over the party members. "Double Assassin, Samurai, Cleric, aaand Me." she said in her thoughts. Lots of damage, a little healing, and a smidgen of off-tanks. That wouldn't be so great...although, maybe she'd be able to use her Lion Dirge to mitigate Hate along with Battle Conduct. Regardless, the foxtail came out of hiding her racial features with her tail and ears poofing back into existence where they rightfully ought to be. Fluffy Crises averted, Chiaki would use her Phantom Step once more to zoom around her party members to get a look at their general gear. Maybe if one assassin specialized in ranged attacks that would be better...but none of them seemed to have a bow or crossbow.

"Well, if we don't have anyone else, we'll just have to manage a couple extra roles. Lemme know if any of your MP bars start needing a boost. Let's get ready to kick some ass!" she said, afterimages vanishing before her fingers danced across the strings of her guitar, a gentle melody coming out despite the rather ghastly appearance of her instrument. A lightness of feet and a feeling of energy would be in everyone's feet as the Fawn's March took effect. It wasn't super speed, but it sure was nice to not have to waste time. Especially since Meren had one heavy shield. Regardless of whether the party was actually behind her or not, Chiaki would begin walking wherever the heck they were supposed to be going, practically skipping and clicking the heels of her boots together as she went. She seemed...way too pumped for this, keeping the song going even as she bounded down the street.

"Come Soggy shoe, Quirky turkey off and you to Bone boy" Sen said pointing at the necromancer before dragging him off without nary a word in response. Without pause Sen headed out dragging her impromptu party with her expecting them to keep up with her pace. Completely ignoring others as she marched out the gate of kyoto. "Come we must find the perfect place as to deliver our brand of justice." She said at her party as they reached the gate. Reaching hte gate it was obvious to see why kyoto wasnt swarmed just yet but it was clear to see that theres more than just a few oni heading towards the city gate. Heading out Sen and her group was quickly accosted by what appeared to be scouts they towered over Sen's small frame at nine feet wielding a iron odachi in their hands their red skin covered by a simple black kimono.

Meanwhile the other group was accosted by female oni equal in height to most females they were garbed in a red hakama and white top wielding large naginata's that towered over them in height. Pointing the spear end of the weapons towards them they let out a soft growl as they charged forward. With incredible speed easily breaking up the group as it was diverging the attention towards singular targets rather than the party as a whole.

Convel McConnor

Like an obedient watch dog, Convel would follow the short street performer that had somehow become the leader of their ragtag group of players, quickly picking up his shield from Barry's shop on their way out of the city. Since no one in the party expected to be in combat so soon after leaving Kyoto's walls, the formation was a complete mess, with everyone just standing where ever they felt instead of where they needed to be most. So when the four adventurers came face to face with their opponents upon turning the corner of the road, not a single person in either group was prepared.

The first to react was Convel, reaching behind his back to grab Unyielding Aegis with his left hand, and stretching out with his right to grip Sen's shoulder and pull her behind him and away from the attacking scouts. He was the tank after all, it was his job to take the hits so the Sorcerer and other squishy classes remained unharmed. "Anchor Howl!" the Wolf Fang growled as he braced his arm for the inevitable odachi that was coming his way. Sparks flew as the blade impacted with hard steel, and the defender turned his head to look toward the companions behind him. "I've aggroed the oni! Someone hit 'em!" he shouted.

"I guess it's time to get moving then." she announced, as Matsuko ended up taking the Bard's excited departure as a sign that they should get moving. Her sense of duty as the Tank compelled her to rush after the Fox tail. As they made their way passed the city gate, she felt her Moonlight Carver hum in it's sheath. It wasn't long before their party came up against a group of female Oni. The Samurai had to move and think fast as the Oni started to engage the rest of her party.

Although the female Oni had begun their attempt to split up their group, Matsuko rushed forward, unsheathing her blade as she executed an <Iaijustu> onto the closest enemy. Fortunately, some of the oni were still close to each other. Close enough to cast <Samurai Challenge>, "I'll devour all of you!" She shouted excitedly as her Hate increased. Four out of five Oni aggro-ed onto her. As she engaged the four oni, her eyes searched for the remaining one. It had gone after Meren. Amidst a flurry of parries and counters, she unleashed a <Vacuum Slash>, clipping the separated Oni in the back. "Five out of five." She muttered as moved herself among the monsters, a slight smirk on her face. It was difficult to fight these oni as their spears gave them a more ranged advantage, but a challenge was always welcome.

Matsuko quickly brought out a small pill-like item from her sleeve, it was reminiscent of a sphere-like candy. She popped it into her mouth as she dodged a spear stab. As she bit down on it, a ghostly crimson aura trailed around her body.

Status granted by <Blood Candy>
<Hate generation aura>
<Lesser Health regeneration>
<Lesser Reflect aura>

The female oni seemed to become more violent as they continued to assault the Samurai, their health bar taking slight hits as they did so.

Silver watched as others joined the group before their leader the samurai decided it was time to get moving and Silver followed behind her letting her lead the way since she was their tank. Silver was meant to deal damage while she soaked up the damage even though he didn't like the concept he understood the strategy of it. Silver had his top hat on as they got closer to where they should find their enemies as he was in full butler fashion.

Soon enough they found their oni and he couldn't help but smile as he thought that he would finally get to work with others as It has been a while. Still it has been a long time since he has had to pull out his frozen longsword. He then reached to his side and pulled it from its sheath and it seems as if the area around him got colder because of it. He remained hidden in the shadows as he saw their leader pull their attention thanks to her samurai skills. Once that was done he moved forward quickly and used <Assassination> on one of the oni's that was attacking her before he crouched low and he used <deadly dance> as he attacked each of the oni and on his 7 strike his blade started to glow a pale color and he attacked the first oni he strikes with assassination causing extra damage before he dashed back needing to recover his mp

Arthur looked at his party as they engaged in the combat that lay before them. He noted the exceptional performance of their tank who had managed to draw the entire group of Oni. He had little experience with the creatures due to his recent server transfer, and as a result had never experienced this event chain before, so the ability of the monsters wasn't known to him, but he figured he'd just do what he'd always done in combat scenarios and rely on his instinct. As he watched Silver sneak in to deal blows to the Oni, he decided he'd take it at a slower pace than his assassin comrade.

Taking a slight jog to the Oni, he began engaging in combat, only using Reap and attacking normally in order to gauge the amount of damage he could do to the creatures. Seeing that they were at a high level, he didn't want to be reckless, but he figured that this would be a good learning experience for the events that were to come, and by practising his combat against them, he'd have a much better time dealing with the Oni army.

Deciding that the damage that he was doing was enough, he decided to try and make things easier on the tank. Prior to doing this, he activated trinket walk and finally decided to use assassinate on one of the oni, hoping to eliminate it in one strike. Noting that the hate gain was minimal from this due to the good work of his tank, he decided that he'd kill another and used Extermination on the Oni that he had been hitting prior. Deciding that more attacks might push him over the edge, he decided to take a step back and let his hate cool down before continuing.

Gaumont could not feel but to be excited over helping to defend Kyoto from the oni. Having to stop to allow Convel, their Guardian, to pick up his shield, she followed Sen out of the gate. Gaumont was walking on the right flank of their leader, a little bit back. She always liked that spot even during formations. However, they were not in formation and they soon ran into the oni scouts with odachis. When they ran into the group, Gaumont smiled as she saw their level. They were 80, and this meant they would be a challenge! Well, their first challenge anyway. However, she could not be the first one to attack due to her role in the group.

Fortunately, Convel was the first to act. His anchor howl attracted the oni before they could reach Gaumont, Sen and whoever that Bone Guy was. When Convel called and said that he had their attention, Gaumont took a two-handed grip on her bastard sword and held it in a ready position. "I got you, Convel!" she said as she went to the side and charged. The first Oni she charged was struck with her aim true on his breastplate, though that was not what was going to be deadly itself. What was would be the next set of attacks as she activated Quick Assault, striking the oni in rapid succession. The oni recoiled from the direct hits, and would find his attack speed reduced, but was still standing. That was when Gaumont knew their first fight was going to be a tough one, and prepared to use her increased attack speed to full advantage to pummel the oni.

Huh. That was faster than expected. Guess the Oni were in some kinda hurry or something. Oh well, not like it'd matter with their party being here to stop them. Continuing her Fawn march song to keep the movement speed buff going, Chiaki was mostly waiting for an opportunity to use another support skill. It seemed that, for the most part, her party had things under control. Well, at least that would be the case if she wasn't also being rushed down. Quite literally running from an Oni that hadn't quite been aggro'd yet, the Bardic Foxtail was formulating a plan in her mind before she used Phantom Step to get behind said Oni, turning her instrument to have the axe blade facing the Oni, who she quickly struck in the back. "RESONANCE BEAT!" she called out, the Oni not seeming to take much damage at all from her skill, quickly turning to face her once more and charging. Hurriedly ducking down, just before it was about to go on its cooldown period, she used Phantom Step once more to slide between the Oni's legs and underneath her spear.

With another blow to the back, Chiaki smiled as she went back to buffing the party with a new skill in the form of Meditation Nocturne, seemingly ignoring the Oni that was charging at her before the time on Resonance Beat wore off, sending the Oni flying as what could be described as a sonic boom rippled throughout their body, knocking them to 0. Cost a ton of MP, but damn did that look cool. Seeing that the party continued to largely kick ass, the Foxtail figured that just Meditation would be enough, and also get them ready for the next fight if she kept it going. She kinda wished she had a direct damage buff...but being a Foxtail, the game decided it was MUCH more important to have Electrical Fuzz.

Once Meditation's casting was done however, Chiaki grinned as she started strumming her guitar furiously, something sounding like a form of musical nails on a chalkboard screeching across the air as a pentagon formed around the remaining Oni, before they would clutch their ears in pain as a sonic bombardment from all sides began taking effect. Wouldn't do much damage, but anything caught in her Dirge of the Trapped Lion that was an enemy might as well be dead as long as the group was willing to take on some easy enough targets. "Got 30 seconds to go to town!" she called out.

Being way more apathetic to suddenly being dragged off by a strange girl in a clown suit, Tachyon the "Bone Boy" had found a party it seemed. Well more like the party found him although "forcibly conscript" seemed to be a better word for it. Tachyon didn't mind much though, he was heading to the front line anyways and it would be nice for him to have someone to stand in front of him being a squishy caster class of course.

Looking at the incoming horde of oni however made him wish there were a few more bodies in front of him. Undaunted, he let his new team maters charge ahead of him as he raised his staff. Dark energies gathered around as the wind blew those unfortunate spirits towards Tachyon's scythe-staff as his <Bell of Lost Souls> rang with an ethereal cry. Spirits danced to his unholy, arcane melody as Tachyon chanted just for dramatic effect (and his own amusement), "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Arise from your shallow graves! Awake from your eternal slumber! Let death take you naught for thou shall serve unto me! May my will be done!"

Slamming the end of his staff into the ground, a circle of energy burst out and quickly fissile as the earth rumbled and toiled. Rotting hands and decaying gauntlets thrusted themselves out of the cold earth and crawled their way out of the ground. One by one, an army of the dead in decrepit Japanese armor rose from the ground, it seemed like Tachyon had gotten lucky. Before him stood over a dozen warriors dressed in the same samurai and ashigaru armor they wore when they were slain; their rusted armor absorbed any light that hit them and their tattered sashimonos blew creating a ghostly howl as the wind blew through them. Clutching rusted, broken or bent spears and swords, they turned their hollow eyes to the necromancer who summoned them.

Tachyon ignored how creepy their undead gaze was and focused on casting a buff for his little shambling army. Of all the Necromancers in Kyoto, Tachyon was probably the one of the few who could reliably summon his minion in a battle without scaring the shit out of himself. "Seasons of ash and seasons of blood, listen to me! For harvest is upon ye! Spill their blood and water the earth with their lives!" With a wave of his staff, a red mist trailed out of the <Abyssal Celeste> like blood in water and wrapped itself around the undead soldiers like a crimson ribbon; Tachyon had buffed them with the spell <Blood Tithe>.

With an unearthly screech, the undead samurai clutched their weapons with the grip of rigor mortis and charged at the oni, uncaring if they were smashed to piece in the process for what use does the dead have to fear death?

Sen just looked on as people fought "oh So boneboy isn't afraid of his own summons huh?" she said out loud looking at the large amount of skeletons that he summoned. "Very well let me show you all the power of the Clown witch of BUD VIRGIN LOGIC!" Sen declared loudly energecticly grabbing one of the many tomes used as a makeshift skirt around her waist. "Impatience Bolt, Serpent Bolt, Chain Lightning!" She called out in succession as lightning started to shock the onis in front of her. Lightning was raging from her fingertips as she cast her lighting magic. A large bolt of lighting quickly followed up by more over and over pelted the onis leaving them little time to react in order to defend against the quick barrage.
