I would contend that serial killers aren't remembered for their numbers. Mass killers are a bit of a different beast.

I agree. I was mostly relaying how the body counts are so much higher today. There's been an increasing number of mass shootings. So many we don't really care about their names or what years they occurred in. Though I suppose my previous post wasn't too clear on that point, my bad^^. Serial Killers do have a bit of mystery and theater about them which draws more attention to their crimes.

It is no secret that one of the allures of mass shooting is that the attacker often longs for a "high score", so to speak. They desire the highest, most exploitable, easiest way to do what they want to do - for whatever particular reason they deem fit. The reason mass shootings and active shooters are so efficient is not just because of their weapons, as we have seen vehicle ramming attacks, improvised explosives, or even stabbings gain large numbers, but because the targets are often easier. A firearm is a ranged weapon, a tool which could be exploited easier, and if not for the firearm they would find another way as mentioned above.

But those targets? Very easy to exploit a crowd of people to tremendous effect, especially when they have virtually no experience with firearms or receiving contact from them. In the Las Vegas incident, many of the videos highlight this, in that the people being shot at did not immediately recognize or react to the danger simply because they did not know what it was or where it was coming from. No fault of their own, they are the innocents and victims here, but it displays how easy it is to attack large groups of people; especially with illegal weapons.

There is much more involved in this than just a mass shooter however, much of which is more disturbing. This man both has no and has a tremendous record of unusuality.

The man's father was a two-time bank robber, wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, described as a "psychopath" by them, and escaped prison. Furthermore, the man himself has an incredibly sparse work record, with his last known occupation being prior to the merger that created Lockheed-Martin. He was frequently gambling, staying in high roller suites, had moved an ample amount of times, and had questionable company. The latter part was that he has proxy affiliation with political extremists, his girlfriend being well.known but another man who looks very similar to him. No less, the Islamic State has claimed him as a convert and they have an unusual track record for being correct about this type of statement, but consider that the most likely untruthful thing we know about him as of.yet for motives.

He has virtually no social media history, or it has been redacted, and had a large cache of oddly, automatic firearms on an expensive hotel room floor, in addition to putting up his own closed circuit television to monitor his room, and having been there for several days.

This is a very unusual person, @Penny. This might have been since updated, but it is a start.

They were not automatic weapons, they were semi-automatic rifles modified to simulate Automatic action/operation (Bump Stock) this is an important difference many people are skimming over. It was neither a large cache nor unusual when you consider that acquisition wasn't difficult for him (having no criminal records or documented history of Mental illness, which is likely the majority of mental illness btw, anywhere from 30-60%) and that this attack was clearly plotted in advance. His own brother calls him a multi-millionaire, explaining his lack of work: any person with a cursory knowledge of finance can easily turn a couple million into cash for life, even if he is always gambling. Provided he doesn't play like a moron he should be fine.

ISIS claims responsibility for everything, their track record is not accurate in the least, they most they can honestly claim is to have inspired attacks. They already learned from media outlets that being the 'First on the Scene' is often more important than telling the truth. I don't know nor have I ever heard of his girlfriend and I'm unsure what you mean about her being well known, though the FBI is saying that she is not a suspect, is not under arrest, and that she has returned to the US of her own accord, despite rumours of being sent over 100000$ by Paddock while in the Phillipines. Being a person of interest does not mean you are an accomplice. The FBI also says he has zero connections to any terrorist organizations.

The man's father doesn't really hold any relevance, aside from perhaps as a random curiousity in the case? The same goes for his lack of social media presence, the man is relatively old, and quite a few of his generation simply have little to no interest in social media. Staying there for several days is almost a necessity, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to prepare himself the way he did, it also likely gave him ample opportunity to choose whether or not to attack as well as when. Finally, setting up a CCTV is rather simple over the distances involved.

This is a disturbed person. @The Harbinger of Ferocity The only bit that is unusual/remarkable about him is the final moments of his life. Unless you mean unusual as uncommon, in which case, yes, he fits the bill by simply by being severely mentally disturbed. Everything else is merely trying to elevate this psycho above what he actually is.

Unless of course absolutely everything we are being told is a lie, and this is some sort of false-flag activity by some deep-state organization. ^.- Of course I am open to any links that can be provided. Most of what you are saying seems to be highly misconstrued though.

It seems Catalonia is about to declare independence from Spain. The referendum received 90% voting in favor, and the King of Spain Felipe is not happy about it.

On 3 October 2017, as huge protest rallies and a general strike took place in Catalonia following the 2017 Catalan independence referendum, HM The King delivered an unusually strongly worded televised address in which he condemned the actions of the referendum organizers for acting "outside the law", accusing them of "unacceptable disloyalty" and of "eroding the harmony and co-existence within Catalan society itself". He also warned the referendum could put the economy of the entire north-east region of Spain at risk.[57][58][59] Reactions to the King's speech were mixed. Party officials from the PP and Ciudadanos acclaimed the King's "commitment to legality",[60] whereas leaders from Unidos Podemos and Catalunya en ComĂș criticised it as "unworthy as irresponsible", paving the way for a harsh intervention of the Catalan autonomy.[61] As for the PSOE, its leaders showed their support to the King's words in public, but were unofficially upset that the King had not made any call to understanding or dialogue between both the Spanish and Catalan governments.

I like George W. Bush. He's a respectable and legitimately kind person. I think all of the proceeds to his paintings and books go to wounded veterans, and he's volunteered to help build houses in South Africa with his wife when his term was up.

Edit: The houses were for people with cancer, as well.

During a presser at a LV hospital, Trump hinted that they've got the motive worked out and 'you'll be hearing about that soon.' I have no idea what that means -- but some images seemed to show a note in the guy's hotel room, and the wife/gf/whoever is state-side and talking to authorities, so I think it's a credible statement.
