> Planet Baslora <
The Beginning
@CaptainSully@Archmage MC@Gisk@rocketrobie2@Weird Tales

A technologically advanced planet with vast resources and varying landscapes. It's population spans roughly 300,000 with roughly 6 different groups of people, as far as is known by the general public. Where once these people warred for control of the planet and its resources, they are now united under the rule of one. The population is separated into two roaming cities powered by the energy of the people, albeit only those who volunteer. Additionally, each city houses a generator which scans for spikes in physically manifested energy, such as an aura or energy based attack or abilities, and absorbs it as these spikes are typically seen as hostile.

The cities generally do not travel too close to one another at a given time as the equipment might might interfere with one another. However, the cities roam the land and keep the people from destroying any one area of the planet. The ecosystem is maintained and the people are allowed to grow and advance at they please.

However, one landmark remains stationary. That is, the castle and home of the ruler of Balsora. A leader who united its people and remains in place to face any challengers who may come his way. He and circulates his royal guard between the cities and monitors for disturbances that could throw off the overall tranquility of the people. He has no knowledge of any rebellion against the PTO and isn’t sure he would allow it as it might doom the planet, but nevertheless, he rules justly.

Even so unbeknownst to the leader of Balsora, or its people, the looming threat of the PTO, rather the Galactic frieza Army, is fast approaching.

The skies of Balsora were clear as the pods opened within craters they had formed in the otherwise green plains of the surface they’d plummeted into. A hand, somewhat tanned, clutched the frame of the opening hatch. A man standing at roughly 5’10” with a fair, but lightly tanned skin complexion, stepped out. He used his free hand to shield his eyes from the rays of the bright sun.

“One sun, Glaceo,” he spoke aloud, though it was mostly into the communicator of the scouter that adorned his face. The red lense, positioned before one of his dark eyes, gave him a brief reading of the area; nothing nearby, but there were power signatures a few miles east of this location. They were weak. Another docile planet to add to the list. In other words; a bore.

“Hopefully this planet has more to offer than this.” Arkos said as he left his pod and prepared to move out onto this unsuspecting world. He stepped out to stretch his legs waiting for the others to exit. There were two in total, sent by their squad leader Glaceo to scout the planet and area a bit before he could land. It made no sense, after all, to try and land their small ship on what could have been a battle ground. He rolled his head around, feeling the pops as he loosened himself up, and cracked his knuckles.

The Saiyan began to climb up out of his crater, his sharp eyes surveying the area. There was little more than a quiet intensity to his gaze. He gave off little emotion, as was expected of a warrior when conquering a planet. His tail held a reddish hue, a color atypical of the saiyan race, and remained wrapped tightly around his waist. His hair maintained a spiky, if not utterly unkempt, appearance. It matched his tail, dark, but redder than the usual blacks of browns, and kept in line with a black bandana. “The area is clear for a landing,” he added, “though I still feel I would have been enough for a simple scouting mission like this.” Arkos was sure there was a reason for the choice to send himself and Rutaba, apart from the fact that Saiyans were generally seen as expendable.

Given the team as it was now was fairly new, it was possible Glaceo couldn’t trust Porato and Satay. So sending himself and Rutaba made sense. He had worked with Glaceo for a few years now. They had built a foundation of trust. And he could vouch for Rutaba having seen her in battle before. Satay and Porato seemed trustworthy enough on paper, but one could never be too cautious. Still, the time was right to land and explore.

Location: Balsora - Planetary Defence HQ

The command centre was awash with activity, people rushing around in every direction. Sully watched intently as the various individuals with their vastly different skillsets set about their tasks. As people moved passed there were some he had known since his arrival on Balsora, but all were too focussed on what they were doing to give more than a quick gesture of acknowledgement. He leant up against a wall, his Harlequin mask resting atop his head exposing the pale complexion of his face. The way the light reflected from his deep blue eyes gave the impression that they were glowing, however it was just a trick of the light. He glanced up at the clock on the wall and pushed himself up straight, it was time for training.

Prior to Balsora Sully had been a capable fighter, bother in martial prowess and power but the rate of his growth since being able to manipulate ki has been exponential. Due to his capability the Balsoran hierarchy offered him a home in place of his service in the planetary defence force. The benefits granted to Sully included full use of the Balsoran training rooms which had helped him develop himself further than he thought possible. The rooms full capabilities include: the ability to increase the gravity within the room up to one hundreds times Balsora's natural level; turrets that fire incapacitating energy bolts and also a full virtual enemy suite that generates a hard light opponent capable of complex combat maneuvers.

The waiting list for the suite meant that Sully had to get special dispensation from his superiors to ensure that he could use it daily, albeit at unsocial hours. The room itself was on the whole plain in design, high metallic walls with a yellow boxed pattern decorating the metallic floor. The ceiling was high enough to allow a certain amount of flight and was encouraged giving the capability to push the gravity higher. Mastering flight under heavy duress would translate well to the field and was Sully's intention for the day.

As he approached the entrace to the chamber he waved at the system operator Aurelia. She had been extremely helpful in helping him develop himself further, analysing and critiquing his performances within the training room. They had grown close since they first met, seeing each other daily and spending time going over how Sully was performing. They had a mutual respect of each others talent, Sully a capable fighter and Aurelia a supremely intelligent individual.

"I hope you are ready for today, I want to push it hard today." Sully often wanted to push harder than Aurelia would allow him but she knew how much punishment his body could take. She had seen him go to the limit several times, almost succumbing to stress of the high gravity by having his body crumble underneath him. She knew how to get the best results for his development without him suffering from any undue risk.

"You say the same thing every time and by time you're done i'm scooping you up from the floor like a pancake." Her words were filled with playful tone as they left her grinning face. The smile on her face was wide revealing a smile that made Sully feel things he had not since being on his homeworld. He raised his hand and gestured brushing her way while failing to hide the laughter that brewed within. "Don't worry about it, you'll be needing to upgrade these rooms soon," he said with a smile still on his face. "Anyway, i'll see you in an hour." As he walked through the doorway the door behind him hissed as it slid shut. Sully reached up to his mask and pulled it down over his face, it quickly clinging to his skin. He turned to the viewing room where Aurelia sat and raised his thumb. Her voice came from speakers located around the room, "Ok Sully, we'll kick it straight in at fifty times. No warm up, just right into it. Are you ready?" The Alterran raised his other thumb.

The room began to fill with a gentle hum as the gravity generators began to warm up. Sully dropped to a squatting position and began to charge his ki to go against the gravity. He had experienced up to one hundred times previously, the most recent time several months prior. He was able to move but it was under great duress and took a heavy toll on his stamina. His usual process was to spend several minutes warming up with a gradual increase to the gravity rather than the initial hit that he was going to receive. The hum grew louder and louder before seemingly ceasing, at the same time Sully was dropped to a knee. The generators had activated and Sully instantly felt as if he was carrying half of Balsora on his back. He grimaced as he rose back to his feet, his body quickly adjusting to the gravity. It was a good sign that his development was coming along well that he was able to adapt to the gravity almost immediately. "Well done Sully, you're handling that better than I expected. I'm going to crank it up to seventy five times and then we will begin the simulation." Sully nodded in response, able to feel the weight of his head increase as Aurelia further increased the gravity. He gritted his teeth and began to slowly jog around the room.

For several minutes he ran, his body adapting and finding it easier with every step. When he was fully comfortable he lifted himself from the floor using his ki and began to fly. His initial few metres were shakey, his balance thrown off by the forces pulling on his body. He focussed hard and soon found himself moving smoothely through the air although at a speed slower than he was fully capable of. From the observation room Aurelia pressed at the console in front of her, activating the hard light enemy system within the room. As Sully completed one further lap of the room he was met with a fist towards his face, managing to avoid it with a very late turn of his head. He stopped flying and turned to the hard light creation that charged at him, the figure crafted to the shape of Frieza's race. The choice was on purpose giving Sully's feelings towards them, he needed to be able to fight them with his head and not the hatred that lived deep within.

The manisfestation was unaffected by the gravity and closed the distance to Sully in the blink of an eye, throwing a flurry of punches, kicks and tail strikes at the Alterran. The blows were impactful enough to knock Sully back with each shot he parried, before his block failed, catching a foot straight to the chest. It sent him crashing backwards hard into the wall, his head impacting into the metal with a loud thud. The frieza race copy did not relent and fired several energy blasts at the static Sully. Pushing his hands firmly into the floor Sully launched himself into the air, watching the blasts collide with the wall as he narrowly avoided them. He was soon back under pressure from his opponent who relentlessly threw everything it was capable of at Sully.

Aurelia watched on as her friend struggled, but she was not concerned. She had seen enough of him, especially recently, to know what he was capable of. She tapped at the console once more and looked on as Sully dropped several feet while in the air. He looked up at her and grimaced, she had cranked up the gravity again leaving him even worse off again his dominating opponent. The constant flow of attacks and increasing gravity made it difficult for him to mount any sort of counter and the constant defense was taking its toll. 'I need to do something...'

The hard light construct cranked it's arm back for a punch, bringing it forward with a menacing intent. Sully managed to catch the incoming blow with his hand, locking it firmly around his opponents wrist. As the frieza race fighter began to throw it's next attack, Sully drove his head firmly into it's face. The construct stumbled as Sully loosened the grip on his wrist, following it up stiff knee to the abdomen. The constructs reaction was much like a real persons would have been, arching over and gasping for air. Sully began to drive his elbow down towards the back of his opponents head but his arm was stopped mid air, wrapped up in the tail of his adversary. An uppercut flew towards Sully's jaw but was dodged with a movement of his head. With arm still trapped, Sully was once again on the defensive, this time only able to dodge and block with one arm. He took a solid shot to his ribs which was followed up with an impactful blow to his face. As the follow up shot came in Sully focussed his mind and felt relief cover his body, the impact of the gravity disappearing for the most brief of moments. When the tugging pull of the rooms artificial gravity took over him once more he was free of his opponents grip and located behind it. Without hesitation Sully drove his fist deep into the lower back of the frieza race fighter, sending it crashing to the wall in front.

Aurelia watched on in disbelief, 'What was that? He just disappeared and then reappeared from nowhere.' She had seen Sully train for a long time but he had never displayed any sort of ability like she had just seen. He could move quick enough to seemingly teleport, but this was something entirely different. The hard light fighter had a firm grip of Sully but he somehow managed to escape and land that solid shot.

Sully didn't wait for the construct to stand back up, charging forward and unleashing a solid combination of strikes. As the blows began to connect, his hands and feet started to glow. Punches and kicks were getting easier and easier to throw in the oppressive gravity, each one more impactful on his opponents body than the last. Soon the glowing limbs of Sully were bright enough that he decided to finish the fight. With both feet he kicked his opponent into the air, the ki around his legs exploding in an impactful and devastating shot. Sully launched himself into the air, passing his opponent. He raised his glowing hands above his head before bringing them down onto his opponents back. The construct hurtled towards the floor before disappearing, Aurelia ending the program. Sully breathed in deeply, the effort under the high gravity pushing even his races extreme stamina to its limit. He lowered himself to the floor below and looked up at Aurelia.

"I felt you crank the gravity up mid-fight again. What did you do? Put it up to eighty? Eight five?" Aurelia looked at Sully and pressed the communications button. "I put it up to one hundred." Sully took a second and looked down at his body as he could feel the exhaustion taking over. He hadn't successfully fought at one hundred times previously but his recent progress over the last few months meant he'd pushed himself to a point where it was now possible. "Are you serious?" Aurelia nodded from the observation window. "Yes of course. I think we should leave it there for today though. Your vitals are showing signs of extreme exhaustion and I have something I need to talk to you about." Sully nodded and made for the door. He almost face planted the wall as the gravity was reduced to normal levels, launching himself forward faster than intended.

Outside the room he was greeted by a smiling Aurelia who gestured him towards the observation console. She tapped away at it and pointed towards a nearby monitor. "Take a look at this." A playback of the fight was on the monitor, showing the moment where Sully escaped the grip of his opponent. "In all the times I have seen you fight I have not seen this. You can move quick but not when you are held like that. It is like you teleported from one place to the next." Sully lifted the mask from his face and stared at the monitor. One moment he is there and the next he is launching the opposing fighter flying.

Aurelia slowed down the playback to a frame by frame replay, catching a glimpse of something that caused her to lean in closer. She paused the playback and pointed at the paused frame. "Look, around your body. It looks like there are cracks around you. It makes no sense." Sully looked at the mask in his hands and raised it in front of Aurelia. "Recently while I have been training out in the field I have felt these moments of what I can only call, being comfortable. I find myself several feet from where I started but I put it down to sudden bursts of speed." He paused briefly, lowering the mask to his side and looking directly at Aurelia. "I have been capable of so much with the Harlequins suit, I can only assume that as i'm getting stronger, it's helping me to unlock even more of its power." Aurelia cast her glance back down to the monitor, deep in thought. "I'm going to go over this and see what I can discern from it. You should go get yourself some rest. Once you're back up and about come and see me, we can go get dinner." Sully smiled at the proposal, one of the best parts of Balsora was it's wide range of delicious delicacies. "That sounds great, i'll come by your place later."

As Sully left the room he caught a glimpse of a nearby monitor that detailed vitals and data from the training session, he scanned it to the line that he was most focussed on, it read 95,000...

The sounds of swift strikes, and heavy servo-motors echoed in a large, dimly lit underground room. There was a large construction, a little like a crane or arm that was holding a spider-like robot on one end. The simple, triangular robot had four arms on each of its three surfaces, and they were whirling around, difficult to see with their speed. The arm, arching above the field occasionally, and very suddenly moved, bringing the many armed bot to different positions as Android Epsilon Thirteen rushes about it.

They deflected blow after blow, each one punctuated with a sharp, but quiet “Ta!” The tie-bot couldn’t seem to touch them, no matter how it moved about the room, or how many of its twelve arms it brought into play. And still, the fight did not end, because the Android, more powerful though they were, made no attempt to strike back.

“Strike!” Came a voice from the shadows on the side of the field, “You’re wasting my time as much as yours!”

Epsilon Thirteen glanced briefly out of the corner of their eye at their instructor, then suddenly thrust their palm past the machine’s guard, right into the center of its torso. They forced a measured dose of synthetic ki into it through their palm, and it very suddenly grew still.

The heavy duty arm overhead continued to reposition the tri-boy, as if it were still making evasive maneuvers, but Epsilon Thirteen ignored it, and walked back to their master. They were dressed in nothing but their standard issue under garments, not wanting to tear their only set of clothes in a training simulation. They approached Bailon Kresh, awaiting an appraisal.

Bailon sighed, “Perfect form, but I’d like to see how fast you can get. It’s too bad, no matter how fancy the training machine, you yourself are the most advanced technology I can get my hands on.”

“I apologize for my…”

“None of that. It has its drawbacks in training, but it’s precisely why I…”

She stopped suddenly, clutching her cane and staring around almost blankly. Epsilon Thirteen had seen this behavior before, and knew to switch on their scouting subroutines. Several arrows and number displays appeared in their peripheral vision, blinking to indicate new energy signals. Several of them were unusually high for this world, and not far away at all.

When Epsilon Thirteen paid attention again to their teacher, she was already halfway up the stairs and out into the filtered sunlight of the forest floor, where their underground facility’s only entrance was. The Android was beside Bailon in the space of a blink, and the two took flight together as soon as the sky was visible.

~~~~
Soon they stood at some distance from the fresh craters in the ground, looking at the figure, tiny at this distance, that had already climbed out.
Bailon shaded her eyes with a hand. “I can’t see right, is it…?” Her voice was strained, shaking with anxiety.
“Yes, master. GFA.”
“Shit.”
Beep
Pause.
Beep. Beeep.
Another, pause, another motion of the finger. The lone figure stood on the sill of one of the many spaceship windows, her delicate features curled up as her left hand rested neutrally on top of her knees, her feet not touching the ground. , staring at the planet surface as the swirls and clusters of clouds slowly drifted around high above the planet surface. Balsora. Yet another planet teeming with life, as the multiple yet faint signals of the scouter indicated. They weren't exactly designed to be used from orbit after all, as the Earthling, with great disappointment, had found out earlier. Her right hand ruffled her red hair, as she operated the scouter one last time, a slight pout forming in her visage.
Such pieces, unreliable and limited would never be a substitute for true talent. But few if any beyond her in the army knew the trick behind the powerlevel technobabble. Well, she wasn't going to teach anytime soon. Only a chosen few would learn the Ki sensing ability in her homeplanet. and Mr Popo had been a harsh trainer. She looked at the rest of the ship, her eyes showing a mixture of disgust and boredom, as she sighed.
Well, they had to conquer the planet after all, wouldn't they? She deftly snapped the fingers on her left hand, and in small dazzle of light, a crystal ball materialized. It was far better as scouting tool than the so-called scouter, however not without the downsides. Fragile, cumbersome and only those initiated in the mystic arts could use it. Plus it required some concentration.
She shut down the scouter, as she began to focus, expanding her sixth sense, feeling the living souls and forces of the planet with her own mind, rather than with her own device. Feelings. Auras. Familiar auras. She smiled as the crystal ball revealed the disappointed scowl of Arkos at some point, which made her crack a slight smile. "Disappointed yet, monkey man?" She whispered to herself as she giggled softly. But what was that? A sense of fear and worry, mixed with righteousness not too far? Could it be one of the planet defenders? The crystal ball shifted as her clairvoyant tool revealed the two figures. Interesting. One of them didn't seem to be living, yet for what it looked like, it was animated. An undead, perhaps? The other, a wizened figure. She cracked a smile... the memories of being a protector...
It was then when some troublesome space deckhand wannabes decided to start a fistfight within inches of her position, disrupting the ball's image and accentuating her frown, as she raised a finger to her lips, making a gesture of "be silent". To no avail. The seemingly frail and weak woman sighed, and extended a hand.
3667.
The reading of nearby scouters picked up the slight flare of powering up for a brief moment before reverting back to 5, as the couple of brawlers was send flying against the nearest wall, pushed by an invisible forces. One of the two seemed to have its neck bent in an impossible direction "I believe i told you to be silent, did I not?" She flashed a vacant smile, as she resumed her business and reconcentrated in following the crystal ball's images. Her moud was soured, significantly.
A little mischief wouldn't hurt.
"Arkos, what's nice and cool and has seen you?" She chirped through the communication system of the Scouters towards the now planet-side saiyan. "Tick tock- three o'clock." She added her voice soft and sweet.
It was the ecstatic beeps from his Scouter that finally got Glaceo's attention. Unlike every other Scouter currently in service, Glaceo's was an advanced prototype. It's visor shape allowed for a larger and more detailed HUD functionality. It's dual earpieces allowed for twice as much processing power, meaning it's readings were always faster and more accurate. It's overall range was also about twice as much as even the current generation Scouters. But the Scouter itself wasn't important right now, the sudden spike in readings from within his own ship was the main concern.
"What is it, now?" Glaceo muttered under his breath as he left his position on the bridge to investigate. He had more important matters to focus than settling some petty dispute between soldiers. Whatever this was it better damn well have been important enough to require his attention. When he stepped through the door to the observation deck he was greeted by having to step over a corpse of all things. He let out a disappointed, if frustrated sigh, "If I may be so bold, why is there is a dead body on the floor of my observation deck?" he sounded polite, but his men knew better than to assume he wasn't annoyed or even outright livid. Glaceo was quite infamous for his ability to sound calm and collected no matter how enraged he actually was.
His gaze fixated almost instantly on Satay. She was the only one on board this ship with a penchant for impulsive killing, "Let me guess, he looked at you funny?" Glaceo then knelt down at the body and reached under the soldier's battle suit. All soldiers were required to wear identification in the event of death on the job. Most of the time they were stored electronically in the Scouters, like digital dogtags. After finding what he was looking for, Glaceo spoke again, "Kiwamu... Galactic Frieza Army Scouting Division #742. Here," Glaceo removed the identification and handed them over to a nearby Officer, "log Kiwamu's death in the records. Just call it a 'training accident' or something. Those are easy enough to believe. And... leave a memo in my office to make communications with his family to inform them." the officer nodded and did as ordered. Then Glaceo shot his gaze back in Satay's direction.
"We're limited on resources out here as it is without us slaughtering our men for petty reasons. Don't let this happen again. Just because the Universe thinks we're monsters doesn't mean we have to constantly act like it. I heard you speaking to Arkos, what happened?" he pressed some buttons on his scouters and was able to detect the power levels - or rather one power level - nearby Arkos's position, "Hmm, must be a glitch. Two forms but only one power level reading...? Rutaba? Arkos has been spotted, unknown if he's been compromised yet. Provide reinforcement while I bring us in for a landing."
Satay just flashed a stupid grin as she saw the frieza clansman zero on her. Well, he had every right to be mad about losing soldiers, it was after all the one who could lose the most prestige in the operation. Without batting an eyelid, she unsummoned the crystal ball, tilting her head slighty. "Oh, lord Glaceo, mighty kind of you to come hither and pay this humble self a visit." The female spoke, with honeyed words as she eyed her superior.
"I was merely gazing at the stars, making strategies, when these couple of soldiers decided to want a sparring match. I begged to differ, and my opinion was not heed. So i gave them...a "tap"." Her eyes rolled, her smile finally dropping. "Looks like the Galactic Frieza Army isn't as durable as the rumours say. Also, dead body? I beg to differ." She said, as she stretched without input and with catlike steps approached the corpse. "He can still be brought back, with some coaxing." The sorceress knelt before the corpse, craddling the neck back into place. She bit her own tongue, and poured droplets of blood into the alien's mouth, as she whispered arcane words. A faint light emited a glow, and the neck of the soldier jolted back painfully in place, an inelegant foaming coming from his mouth.
"See, I revived your paper soldier for you, my lord. Quell your anger." Satay added as she put an index finger in her cheek. "Wait, us?" Satay looked at her superior with a bit of alarm in her face.
Porci
Location: Balsora - City Park
"Ah I want to squeeze some tits right now" Porci sighed to himself as he lay on his back staring up at the sky. He had only been on Balsora for about a month now and he found pleasing for the most part. The women were average, not anything to special, but they offered some good pleasure. In truth his reasons for being on this strange new world was because of his association with the rebellion and so here he was now.
He was curious to see how this peaceful planet would stand up to the Planet Trade Organization if a war did break out. Their ruler didn't seem to desire in taking sides in the conflict going on with the PTO and the rebellion, but there eventually comes a time when being neutral becomes impossible. Porci got up from the spot where he was lying down and walked towards the roaming cities center.
Porci wondered how long he would have to wait until Frieza's forces came to the planet and see if the PTO was going to attempt an invasion of the planet. Either way he was sure that he would get a good fight in and push himself pretty far since Frieza's men were said to be no joking matter. Of course as a chromatic demon, Porci was confident that he could handle any henchmen that Frieza could throw at him.
He wasn't scared of Frieza's army and was ready to fight. Porci had a saying that he used to for courage and it goes like this, "Once you bang a female saiyan then you're ready for anything and can conquer any foe."
Those were words that he would try to live and die by if a battle broke out. He was also excited for the chance to use his Lust-Saber for combat. He had been a doing a bit training with it, but he still needed to refine his technique with it. He couldn't get it to the biggest length, but it wasn't just about the size of the blade, it is also how he uses it.
"Where are the rest of those rebels? I could use some action right about now" he said to himself as looked around at the crowds of people in the city.
Light
Light was out exploring the wilderness around the main city. After all, there were tons of places to explore on this planet, and she had to do some training somewhere considering Sully was hogging the Gravity chamber anyway. While she was having fun breaking a few boulders, she heard a crash from nearby. Curious, she made her way to the location of the sound and saw two pods who landed with the PTO logo on them. "Thats not good..." Light said.
Using her claws, she ripped a dark, purple looking hole in the air. Light jumped through her portal, appearing at a transceiver. Considering she herself couldn't really carry a comm unit for too long without it breaking, she had to rely on things like this. Light used this radio outpost to send a signal that would get the others to hopefully gather near her location. And considering it was a code phrase that could be mistaken for advertisement, she doubted any listeners who weren't part of the rebels would even know what it meant. As she waited for the rebels to gather, she sat down and meditated. After all, she couldn't be shown up by Sully and his addiction to gravity!
Location: Balsora - The Sully Residence
Sully dragged himself to his apartment and threw his clothes to the floor, exposing the scarred pale flesh beneath. While the magical infused attire protected him from cuts, there was a time when his skin wasn't so well protected. There were several moments he was caught unaware by Frieza's forces during their invasion of his home planet, the scars across his torso and back testament to that. Since arriving on Balsora the suit remains on his body for the majority of the day, meaning he is ready at a seconds notice.
He crossed his apartment, casting a glance out of his window towards the rising towerblocks opposite his own. With the sun shining down brightly, the view was pleasant. No matter how good it looked though, in his head he knew it would never compare to his homeworld, even if now it was just a distant memory. Opening the fridge Sully removed a sealed bottle, its contents a concoction of different herbs and compounds that accelerated recovery time. After his exertion during training it was an effort to open the bottle and lift it to drink, but within moments of feeling it run down his throat he could feel his strength return fully. The fluid itself was a creation of the Balsoran people but some of the ingredients take a long time to grow, meaning only the strongest of the planetary defenders have access to it.
Sully made his way into the shower and felt the powerful water jet his skin, the warm spray massaging it. It was once of the things he most loved about the planet, the showers were infinitely better than what he was used to on his homeworld. He could spend an hour losing himself to the force of the warm water. Unfortunately for him this instance wasn't going to last that long as his in room speakers activated. "Incoming message." Sully rolled his eyes and let out a signed, 'I can't even have a shower...' He put his hand against the wall and tucked his hair behind his ears. "Play message," he said. What followed next would appear to anyone else as an advert for fungal foot cream, but to Sully and a few select others it was a call to an important meeting. Sully immediately shut off the shower, quickly leaving and drying himself. He jumped back into his gear and went to leave the room before stopping in his tracks. "Computer...record message." A voice came over the speaker, "Begin message." Sully sighed and began to speak. "Aurelia I am really sorry but I don't know if i'm going to be able to make it tonight. Something has come up that I need to deal with." He paused briefly, hesitating. "I hate to let you down...so how about I take you out for dinner tomorrow? My treat. Either way i'll talk to you soon." Sully moved towards the door and spoke one final time before leaving, "Computer end message and send to Aurelia." The speakers in the room relayed the message, "Message sent." With that Sully made his way to his destination.
Location: Balsora - Resistance Radio Outpost
Sully flew at a fairly quick speed to the outpost, trying to minimise his energy output. More than anything he wanted to avoid detection by the planetary defence forces. Even after his warning to them about Frieza and what he did to their planet, the ruler of Balsora ignored him. As such Sully eventually found a brewing resistance and joined them. The unfortunate part was that due to the rulers choice, joining the resistance was an act of treason as it directly defied his ruling. It meant that Sully had to sneak around or risk losing the resources that the defence force afforded him. Still, it was a risk worth taking. If the ruler was unwilling to prepare for the potential arrival of Frieza and his forces then Sully would at least make sure there were some people ready. That was why he was pushing himself so hard in training. He knew the Frieza forces destructive power first hand and did not want the same thing to happen to Balsora that had happened to his homeworld.
As it stood the numbers within the resistance were low, but it was made up of some of the most powerful and capable fighters on the planet. Sully took pride in being one of those but he knew that everyone, even those at the lower end of the spectrum had their part to play if the planet was going to survive. He was not going to let the planet fall, even if it meant giving his own life to ensure it.
With the outpost coming into view quickly Sully descended and immediately spotted the distinct figure of the creature he had come to know as Light. She was clearly powerful but seemed to lack the maturity that would be needed to repel Frieza's forces. It was just an assumption though, he had never seen her fight and it could well be the case that she was a totally different person in a fight. He hoped she was.
Sully gently landed next to her and stretched as both feet touched the ground beneath him. He looked over at her and noticed she was deep in one of her meditative states. He approached spoke, "Light, get yourself up." Taking in his surroundings once more it was clear that she had sent out the message. "What is it that you've called us out here?"
Porci
Location: Balsora - City Park
Porci was about to go over to a big breasted women and try to pick her up when he got a message from his communicator device. He cursed and looked at the message. It was a meeting place for the rebels and Porci just rolled his eyes.
"Oh great! Now they decide to explain where we're meeting up now? Morons" he growled to himself and he gave one more look at the woman. She caught him looking at her and she gave him a wink. This made him even more angry at the rebels for pulling this shit on him. He turned away from her and stomped away angrily. He didn't know who set up this meeting, but whoever it was he wanted to punch them in the face.
He took off into the air and flew towards the spot where the rebel forces were suppose to meet.
"Goddamn cock-blockers, why did I even join these knuckleheads? Oh that's right my weakness to have since of doing what is right. How cliche" he said to himself as he flew above buildings in his quick paced flight. He soon spotted the meeting area and saw that there were two other people there already. He groaned a little when he saw Light standing close by Sully.
"Oh great I have to deal with demon with maturity issues. This day just keeps getting better" he said sarcastically. He dropped down from the air and landed in front of them.
"This had better be good. I was about to introduce myself to a hot girl jugs then this idiotic message comes up and here I am" Porci ranted. He liked to speak his mind especially when he was annoyed or angry.
Light
It didn't take long for Sully to appear after Light's summon. He was usually the one who came first, as the sayan was pretty reliable. Then Porci came. Light really wasn't sure of how to think of the guy. He was a perv and everyone knew it, but he seemed to never bother Light at all which she found strange. Especially as he felt he was more 'mature' than her, oh if he only knew!
"Oh, Hi guys!" Light said, getting up from her meditaiton. "You know how there was a rumor that the PTO was nearby? Well, I saw some landed pods!" She said, all exictedly and animated. "I'd think some PTO pods would be preeeety important, don't you two think?" She continued, staring at the two of them with a toothy grin on her face. "Wanna wait for our other cohorts, or what?"
The creature known as Porci was the next to arrive, another example of someone who with the right application could become a truly powerful warrior. Where Light lacked maturity, Porci was addicted to the female form. While that in itself was not a bad thing, the fact it distracted him so much meant that he was open to manipulation. When he landed next to Sully and Light, Sully offered him a simple nod as a greeting and listened intently to the reason for the meeting.
As the words left Lights mouth Sully knew just how bad things were going to get. It wouldn't take long after the initial scouting party for the main bulk of the force to make planetfall. He looked at the floor and clenched both fists tight, the rage flowing freely through his veins. His anger generated energy around him whipping up sand and dirt, but he quickly calmed himself and the surrounding area settled. The built up frustration of being unable to defend his homeworld and the sheer hatred for Frieza and his forces was ready to be unleashed, but there would be a time and a place. Now was most surely not it.
"We have to play this carefully." Sully looked at the odd pair with him with a concerned expression. "By all means we could go there and start a fight, but in the same breath if we let them go about what they are here for, we can prepare." Sully began to pace back and forth. "Should they attack then, that would hopefully convince the ruler of Balsora to fully mobilise his forces, maybe even launch a pre-emptive strike." He stopped and turned back to Porci and Light. "Personally I would love to take out some of the PTO right now, but we have to think about the bigger picture. While we are all powerful, the numbers they have over us would make it very difficult. We are going to need the full might of Balsora's forces for the invasion of the PTO. If it is just ourselves and the rest of the resistance, Balsora will fall just as my homeworld did."
Porci
Location: Balsora - Rebel Radio Outpost
PTO pods, that was the thing that was super important that he had to miss out on potentially getting laid? What the hell? These supposed pods could just be diplomats here to give the leaders a message for all they knew. After Light spoke Sully then gave his thoughts on the matter. It liked there were so far two options, either go and fight some PTO scouts or wait and see what they were here for to prepare.
"There is the third option. You two go check these scouts out while I go do some needed training by going through all of the bases with the local gals" he said. He knew that there were going shoot down his idea, but it was worth a try.
"What do you guys think? It sounds like a perfect plan in my opinion."
Light
Light rolled her eyes at Porci. She expected this behavior from Porci, he was more or less an open book. Meanwhile Sully pretty much said what she was thinking, besides the numbers thing. "While you are right there Sully, the numbers thing isn't that big of an issue. I mean, 5k power at best for the standard PTO soldier isn't much of a threat." Light said, playing a bit of devils advocate. "And if they have elite forces there, I doubt the Balsora army will do all that much. Don't those PTO sayans take over planets when they have less power than that?" Light continued.
Shrugging, she said. "We can just do a vote I guess." She then thought for a bit, then asked. "Wait, where are the others?"
As Porci spoke Sully had to force himself from saying anything, the short red sex fiend was more interested in women than protecting the planet it seemed. What Light said soon after made sense but in his mind he had experienced what Frieza's soldiers could do first hand, nobody else had. It was something that was etched firmly into his mind. It was then Light flagged the glaringly obvious, there was only three of them there.
"I would have thought more people would have shown..." Sully's tone was a mixture of frustration and disappointment. He had thought the resistance would have responded in much higher numbers. It didn't matter though, they could only wait around so long. He looked over at Light and spoke, "If we go with your plan then we cannot wait around here much longer." He looked off over to the horizon, "This planet is my new home and whatever we decide to do, I will protect it."
Continuance
> Planet Balsora <
Still... The Beginning
@CaptainSully@Archmage MC@Weird Tales
The small group of rebels have begun their meeting. It seems that they cannot decide on what to do. As this is going on the ruler of Balsora has begun his day. A young, idealistic man with hopes of neutrality. His body was embroidered in dark robes, a slight gleam coming from his skin, if you could even call it that. He was encased in an armor fusing to his body. It increased his power in an unnatural way, but it'd been tailor made for him. His clan had worked in developing this bio-organic exoskeleton that would enhance him in almost every possible way. Still, that had come before there fall. It was a last chance, and though it failed during the war, it succeeded in ending it.
Continuance
> Planet Kowloon <
Moving on
@CaptainSully@Archmage MC@Weird Tales
Meanwhile, far off in the galaxy laid the planet Kowloon. It was a small planet with little resources left after having been farmed for years by the tyrannical rulers of the PTO, particular by that of the galactic Frieza Army. Kept under the rule of the GFA it has become the home of the newest budding rebellion against them. These once proud and nomadic warrior people were once at one with nature. However, they have learned to adapt and grow stronger to survive the disease and violence brought by Frieza's army as it was colonized. Because of this, they have been corrupted.
And so a man stood above his people. "The time has come for war. Some of us may day, but what are a few death to save our people and rid us of the menace that is the Frieza?!" He roared above the crowd who in turn cheered for his words, a collective war cry building as they steeled themselves for the coming battle.
"Remember! We must fight in order to protect the elders as they call forth our savior!" The apparent leader screamed above the shouts and cheers. Behind the crowd was a large cavern wherein the elders who'd once served as shamans to connect them to the land. They were cleansing themselves as best as they could, preparing the space for the ceremony. The man who would head the charge into battle as the forces approached growl, a dark look in his eyes. "Ready yourselves, for the time comes."
Arkos listened closely to the words of his comrade and commander. He sighed as he lifted his hand and pressed it to his scouter. He hit a button and glanced around once more. "What do you mean?" He asked Satay before hearing Glaceo chime in. He stayed silent for a moment before sighing as the brief discussion finished. How could he have been compromised? He was scouting. He was going to make sure they could land without it becoming an active war zone. He wasn't coming to attack. Not yet anyway. Still, he'd never say that to Glaceo. He contemplated what to do. If Satay was right, this could be somewhat fortuitous. He could potentially meet with a native of the planet and get some information. Plus, that would provide an idea of whether or not they would be hostile. Not necessarily to the PTO as a whole, but to his group in particular. Well, Glaceo's group. Er... Lord Frieza's.
The Saiyan took a breath and hummed in thought before sighing and turning to the side. "Glaceo sir," he paused for a moment as he turned in the direction Satay had given and used his scouter. A weaker power level. It wasn't tiny like many he'd seen, but still not huge. If there was another being there, he couldn't see it. "I'm going to engage." He finally finished the thought. "If there is any information to be gained I will attempt to acquire it." Arkos began to walk in the direction calmly, making no sudden move or aim for attack. "Additionally, if they are natives I may be able to negotiate a meeting with a leader." He knew how much Glaceo loved his diplomacy. It was a win-win whether it resulted in discussion or combat.
Once Arkos got close enough he would clear his throat. "Are you natives of this planet?" He asked in a rather cut and dry manner. He wasn't one to mince words when it came to duty. This was not a leisurely stroll, nor was it a thrilling battle. Maybe if it were he might have cracked a smile. "I'm looking for information. Any you can provide I'm sure will be useful." He felt it best to speak in a manner that was nonthreatening all the same. After all, moving in a fit of idiocy could very well get the Saiyan killed. And that was one thing he'd learned all to well the importance of back home.
@Demon Shinobi
Bailon and Epsilon Thirteen answered the first question at the same time.
Bailon gave a curt “No.”
Epsilon calmly answered “Yes.”
Bailon gave her pupil a brief, exasperated look. Technically, the answers were correct. But Bailon had been hoping not to be called upon to answer the soldier’s questions.
Bailon’s body language betrayed fear, if only barely. She moved so that she was slightly further away from the soldier than Epsilon was. Epsilon, meanwhile, did not move at all, except for her eyes to follow the soldier.
“Useful to what end?” Epsilon Thirteen countered the request for information in a calm, polite tone.
"Hmm..." Glaceo didn't offer much of a response to the previously dead Kiwamu's awakening. Not a verbal reaction anyway. Mentally, however, he noted to himself to remember that Satay had this kind of power, as it could prove useful in the right kind of situation later on in the future, "...Well enough. As you were." before the other officer could leave, Glaceo stopped them and gave new orders.
"Inform the bridge to belay my landing orders, but keep them on standby." the Officer nodded in compliance and finally left the observation deck to follow his orders, "Looks like we aren't landing just yet..." he added with a sidelong glance in Satay's direction. He'd naturally heard what sounded like an objection from her a moment ago, but decided not to address it until now. He pressed some controls on his scouter and then just listened.
"Arkos," Glaceo said, "don't say anything back. I'm keeping the communications between our Scouters open for the time being. I want to hear your negotiations in real time." that was all the confirmation Arkos would need to go ahead with his plan to try and negotiate. He listened to Arkos speak to what sounded like two different inhabitants. Then, he heard their response:
“Useful to what end?”
"Tell them that we're looking to establish a business relationship with their planet. Access to some of their resources in exchange for allowing us to act as their liaison with the Planet Trade Organization."
Arkos sighed at the responses given to him by the presumed locals before he heard Glaceo's voice ring in his ears. It'd been kept set fairly low. This was clearly more the Arcosian's forte than it was the Saiyan's. He took a breath, making sure not to move in any way that might be threatening or act in such a way that he would be attacked. This was especially necessary as he could not attack head on this being whose power could not be read by the scouter. He contemplated for a moment. Still, before he could answer himself Glaceo once again spoke to tell him what to do.
"A business relationship between this world and the Planet Trade Organization would be useful to all parties," he paraphrased the words of his leader. There was a reason for this. First, it would be feel more natural for him. Second, he wouldn't seem as though he were simply relaying orders. Nobody could trust a speaker who seemed like he wasn't able to act by his own wishes. "Because of that, if my allies and I can act on behalf of the planet in exchange for access to the resources we would be able to avoid anything unnecessary."
Arkos's face remained calm, unlike many others from the PTO, especially those of the GFA, who would take this moment to threaten the people. Even if that was what these two individuals assumed was his intent, it wasn't. Hopefully, thanks to his lack of change in demeanor and his calm facial expression would help convey just that.
"So, can you tell us more about the planet?"
Porci
Location: Balsora - Rebel Radio Outpost
Porci was getting impatient waiting around for these lazy rebel members who had not shown up yet at this meeting place and every second that went by had him crossing his arms tightly and grunting to himself angrily.
"When the hell are these lazy bastards going to get here?" he said with his voice full of frustration.
"You know what screw this waiting crap. Let's just go and kick some ass. Forget the others, let's check out these pods" he said and started heading off in the direction of the pods.
"Are you two coming?" Porci asked his two companions as continued to walk towards his destination.
