Eɴᴛᴇʀ is a collaborative story inspired by finding myself wanting an adventure story that is in the vein of the several isekai stories I have been watching over the years. Shows like Re:Zero, Konosuba, and The Familiar of Zero are good reference points, but not completely. Also, unlike other RP projects I have done in the past, I’ll be looking for three initial players while I take on the role of any additional NPCs and maintaining a more pure GM contribution instead of also guiding the story along with a protagonist.

To summarize, the premise is fairly simple – three hapless young adults are dragged into the world of Enter after a divine wish spell goes terribly wrong and summons people who have no potential in a world of monsters and magic.

These three individuals are not special. They are not destined for greatness. They are not heroes from the pages of a fairy tale. These people are nobodies, faces in the crowd, losers, and people who barely get through the day in their own mundane lives. They could be a number of things but they are not people who have lived successful fulfilling lives. In the words of the spellcaster who corrupted the wish spell who brought them to the world of Enter: “they are incompetent idiots whom the dark lord will be happy to dispose of”. For these three people it seemed like they were ripped from their lives in an instant with no explanation. They’re correct in that assessment. There is no goddess explaining they died and this is their second chance. There is no god apologizing for a divine mistake. The silver lining on this as they soon will realize is that divine wishes can only be corrupted so far. If the wish is to summon heroes to save the world, then well, they will save the world. Even if the heroes happen to be incomprehensible morons and losers.

Beyond that little nugget of information, I will remind people that this won’t be a “post every day” affair and sometimes pacing will strike delays. Additionally, CS’s will not cover a protagonists abilities inside the isekai world but more of how they are in the mundane world. I do this to focus on the writing ability of prospective players and seeing what mundane skills they might be bringing into the isekai world.

Fighter: The protagonist that fits the warrior/fighter composite role. They focus on their constitution and strength abilities among other things that the divine wish has granted them. Rogue: The protagonist that fits the rogue/ranger composite role. They focus on their dexterity and charisma abilities among other things that the divine wish has granted them. Like the other two protagonists, they are magically altered to be in peak physical condition with a perceptive ability to gather information relative to their class.

Spellcaster: The protagonist that fits the wizard/sorcerer composite role. They focus on their intelligence and wisdom abilities among other things that the divine wish has granted them. Like the other two protagonists, they are magically altered to be in peak physical condition with a perceptive ability to gather information relative to their class.

Pacing

• Activity will be left vague as social obligations such as employment, academics, and so forth take precedence over a shared hobby. But we should try to post with some regularity. Obligations will be reminded if needed, but this is a low-stress endeavor so we shouldn't feel the need to make extreme demands regarding this. Just communicate your schedule when there are issues and keep me informed is the bulk of it.

Writing Ability

• The writing level I expect is somewhere around medium expectations (high school-level equivalent). This means comprehensive understanding of basic grammar and spelling is expected, characterization is important, narrative is important, and detail behind those are appreciated. I’d like to see a few paragraphs, though if it fits a post that there is enough to respond to and react to within one paragraph than that’s fine, but one-liner’s will definitely be off-base. Keep with the fluidity and enjoy yourself; though quality posts don’t have to be textbooks. Quality over Quantity, yet have fun and make engaging moments of introspection and interaction.

• With that said, I will not be putting posts under extreme analysis nor will I be inciting a “word count”. So just use your personal judgment of quality and we’ll be awesome.

• If you need a posting example, I'd like this to be the bare minimum of your output.

Etiquette

• Rule number zero of my perspective is pretty simple; don’t test my patience or be a irredeemable jerk.

• Generally, the idea here is a simplified version of any sort of rules since we are all adults and we pretty much know the big rules—follow the host site’s rules, communicate, collaborate, and don’t be antagonistic towards others or at the very least keep the toxicity to a bare minimum. Playful banter and crass jokes are one thing; but actively making somebody feel unwelcome is another one entirely. There is a difference between being blunt and being tactless.

Applying

• I will be reviewing up to three sheets for participating. This means if I have more than three people applying I will give it 1-2 weeks before I start reviewing them and deciding which I like the most. Applications should be posted in the OOC, particularly in the hider.

Characters should be designed with the tone of an isekai anime in mind. Japanese naming conventions apply (given name after surname), and essentially to fill out things in a way that makes me interested in the concept. In terms of categories, the “concept” section is similar to a backstory section but like in my My Hero Academia RP it should be used as more of a section detailing plans for further characterization; why you want to play such a character, what you intend to do with your character, goals, etc. Descriptive paragraphs.
