Ravi

Ravi shot Swablu a puzzled stare, not understanding even upon reflection as the pieces were missing from the start. Though his facial expression made him appear irritated and increasingly so amidst his pondering. “I’m not quite sure what you mean. I thought I what I said was rather clear...”

Ravi kept absorbing the heat like a sponge. Slithering around and soaking up the euphoric feeling of the flames embrace. Quite a stark contrast in how quickly and easily his body could move and it seemed to be ailing the others as well. Bringing into question how well all these cold blooded reptiles would fare in the rain? Listening intently to Trevor explaining their types and weaknesses, though he already had the knowledge to surmise what he’d been told. His smile grew wider at being accepted, even if he missed the reluctance on their part. He gave a slight nod and wriggle of his tongue to his response, the point of that statement going over his noggin.

It looked like we had several volunteers ready to brave the storm; Trevor, Vi and Lance. A Charmander, a Misdreavus and a Pawniard. Including himself now a Seviper, having enough confidence of their success to split between the seven. It would do him best to take as many observable notes of their surroundings as possible, somebody had to. Surprising how much survival instinct and an empty stomach heightened his reasoning. Thinking about things rationally; it would benefit them to all have individual jobs while venturing out together. And as one of the more vocal team players, perhaps it was better to say these things aloud…

“I have a suggessstion.” Ravi spoke up addressing the party as the gathered closer to the cave’s mouth. “If we simply focused on finding food, we’ll be more likely to fail to notice possible shelters. Or potential enemies. Too much focus on one task will have us miss something else of importance.” He explained. His tone continuing to be unnerving like he'd snap someone like a twig if they interrupted, looking back at the ones remaining put. “The rest of you staying here have the task of keeping the fire going and keeping a close eye out. Give us a holler only if there’s a threat.” A light bulb went off in his head as he concluded on a unknowingly creepy sounding positive note. "With me around you'll have nothing to worry about..."

Jeri

Jeri listened to Trevor's explanation, still having trouble believing any of it. They had become... fictional creatures? This kind of thing only happened in retarded fanfiction. Or dreams. Or drug trips. Jeri couldn't be sure which she was in, but she might as well try to soak in any information that could be useful.

Now that the dinosaur mentioned that they were Pokémon, she did recognize him as a Charmander. He looked a little different than she remembered, but she figured her memory must be off. After all, she had only played Pokémon Go for like, four days. None of the other Pokémon looked familiar to her, including her own... Dunspart, was it?

The bee-snake focused on remembering her attributes, according to the Charmander. She was a normal type, and ghosts couldn't harm her. Her abilities presented a small silver lining in this terrible situation. It seemed her species was made to slow and subdue enemies... familiar and pleasing tactics for the wrestler and rugby player. The Dunsparce had no idea how her floppy serpent form was supposed to accomplish such feats, though. A mental image came to her mind of glomping onto something's face like a living pillow until it suffocated.

The chilling sound of the larger snake's voice snapped Jeri backed to reality. It sounded like some of these idiots were planning to go out into the storm.

"Wait a minute," the Dunsparce remarked, "you're going out in the storm?"

Jeri scoffed as she inched a little closer to the group. She slightly raised her upper body in her best attempt at an authoritative stance.

"You all must be stupid types. I've been on week-long camping trips, and I know a few hours without food won't kill us. Unless a big dragon or something comes in here, wind and lightning are our biggest dangers. Storms don't last forever... and even if this place has a weird storm that does, it's still best to calm your butts and see what happens in a few hours."

With that, Jeri curled up near the fire. Her place was here.

Lance

As the lizard began talking, Lance felt a bead of what he assumed was sweat roll down his face. He started backing away from the fire, continuing until he was at a more comfortable temperature. It seemed that this new body of his wasn't very tolerant of heat. Now that he thought about it, one would expect a slight chill at the very least inside of a dark, damp cave like this one, but he hadn't felt any discomfort from the cold, even before the fire was lit.

The explanation was long, but Lance did at least have some idea of the rules of this world. He wasn't entirely sure how these 'types' worked yet, but he assumed he'd figure it out on his own eventually. According to Trevor, his were Dark and Steel. Considering that his entire body appeared to be covered in metal, it made sense. It seemed that certain types had advantages against others, meaning that he'd have to remember which ones he would have the upper hand against, and which would have the upper hand against him. On top of that, he wouldn't know at first which type the other Pokemon belonged to.

Some of the others opted to go out into the storm. "I will not be joining you. I'd advise all of you to stay here as well, but if you really insist on going..." Lance stood up, and walked to the mouth of the cave. Remembering where he'd seen the light, he pointed one of his daggers in that direction. "You should try searching over there. That's where the light was." He then returned to his place at the fire. "Also, I would keep an eye on our serpentine 'friend' if I were you."

Celina

As Celina felt the warm heat of the fire, she smiled softly as she moved close, feeling her wings dry up and also becoming.. puffier? Well.. she was a swablu, and considering the rain outside… if having her wings have that much difficulty.. it would be very bad. She looked at everyone and seeing part of the group wanting to head out to get some food, as well as asking for some people to stay near the fire. She looked at the charmander who was explaining what everyone was… and him saying that her evolution didn’t really deserve the dragon type itself. She sighed softly as she let him finish talking.

“Ya.. I know, altaria doesn’t really look like a dragon, more like a fluffy bird then anything.” She then says to him as she hears the response of the Misdreavus . She look at them. “Well, the way you were saying it it seemed like you were happy.. sorry.” She says to her before going and trying to practice flying a bit more and getting use to her body as she then try to stay up in the air and look at Ravi

“What I meant, was that with the way you said it with the… well.. Prolong ‘s’… kind of felt like you meant something else." she then says as she practice flying and she look hears what the dunsparce said. She think a bit at this. "We.. never know, considering how this world we ended up in… it might last a long time… It is their choice.. I just hope they don’t get hit by lightning.” She says as she goes to land carefully and just try to relax a bit and look around the cave if there was any way deeper or something that the group didn’t notice.

Pondering Celina’s remark about him having prolonged 'S’s'? He suddenly came to a realization with widened eyes. Of course, he was snake pokemon. Though he didn’t notice any dialect differences, there was a plausibility that he was unintentionally hissing his words. Deciding he should minimize that consonant sound, not knowing that it was far from the actual problem concerning his vocal dissonance. “Even that was easier sssaid than done...”

It appeared not everyone desired to participate after all. Lance had retreated toward the fire and criticized them for trying to go out in the storm. Come to think of it, the Dunsparce and Seedot had yet to properly introduce themselves. Likely due to one believing it was a dream and other still thought they were kidnapping victims. Not that he couldn’t sympathize with those points of views. Despite being in the same situation, it didn’t necessarily mean we’d contribute equally. But he couldn’t look down on his potential allies, he just needed to convince them to help. Maybe they could sustain themselves without any sustenance for a couple more hours; Ravi wanted food.

His stomach worked in congruously with the gears turning in his noggin. Putting an effort to be weary of his exact words, occasionally pausing. “Wait a minute. You incorrectly expect that the climate won’t pour unendingly. We could be in the middle of a jungle. And back on earth...Oahu, Hawaii had rain for over three hundred day’ACK...in a row.” He stopped himself, gagging like a cat choking up a hairball, as his awkward attempt to not use ‘S’ sounds might have been transparent. It was embarrassing, which only made Ravi look pissed off as he was getting frustrated with solely himself. “And now we’re in a different world entirely…meaning your deduction...not factual.”

“Now I’m ssspeaking like a caveman…”

There had to be another way! Ravi disregarded his misguided endeavor and instead addressed Lance specifically. Trying to politely rationalize his feelings on the matter. “Lance. Nobody would’ve had that fire if it wasssn’t for Trevor. I think it’s only fair for him to have the final sssay on who stays and who follows.”

With that said, Ravi let the Charmander decide his fate. Hopefully it would mean finally finding a bite to eat...what was a little rain and booming thunder anyway?

It seemed like Lance didn't want to join, and was warning Trevor about leaving. "Will do, and I'll even tell you whether they were pokemon, or not... if not... we're going to be in some serious trouble, Lance," he pointed out as he noticed the others talking, as well, with Ravi making an... odd effort to try to hide his hissing s's. Seems like he didn't have much control over it, as it had to make that kind of effort to begin with. The seedot pointed out some of grass' other strengths, and Trevor nodded, and corrected him with "They're strong against both ground AND rock, but good job on that, anyways," he would have said something about him being wrong, but Trevor figured that not everyone was bound to know everything about pokemon... Ravi then said something about Trevor deciding who stays and who goes, and he... wasn't too sure about having that sort of responsibility put on his shoulders... this might lead to him, well, leading, and he was REALLY unsure about that... nonetheless, he made a decision. "Let's see... we don't have a lot of move variety, at this point, so... perhaps only myself, Ravi, and Vi should come... it's not like anyone can get her to stay, and she seems to want to come, anyways, and as for Ravi, well, given that he's a pokemon that doesn't evolve, he'll be stronger than a basic pokemon like, er, everyone else here, and again, if I can't trust my team, we're not a team," Trevor wasn't really a hundred percent sure about this, but, it would be better than just sitting around and finding out exactly nothing about their surroundings, right?

With that, Trevor set off to where the lights were, though, he probably wasn't the one in the lead, since he had a poor sense of direction. Oddly the rain didn't seem to really bother him, despite the fact that he was a fire type... of course, he knew that he had to watch out for water types at this point, but at least he wasn't slowing dying, or something. "So, Ravi, you seemed to be excited to get out of the cave, any reason why?" Trevor asked... he was sure he'd get an answer like 'I really need something to eat', or 'I wanted to see if there was civilization for myself', but if he really WAS hungry... it would be a good idea to make sure none of Trevor's team looked tasty to him, especially Trevor, himself.

Jeri

Jeri shook her head as she watched the three Pokémon leave but made no further move to stop them. If they were so eager to get themselves hurt, that was their choice. It was worrying that Trevor left, though... the one person who seemed to actually know what they all were.

"Well, I can agree with one thing they said," the Dunsparce admitted. "We gotta keep this fire going. Especially if we have some freezing reptiles coming back here in a few minutes."

Jeri repositioned herself closer to the mouth of the cave and rolled onto her side. She tried to stretch out her flat body to serve as a barrier against any gusts of wet wind that could threaten the flames. She grumbled as drops of cool rain occasionally reached her, but she dared not move closer to the fire, lest a breeze carry her into the flames like a wind-swept umbrella.

"Hey, grass guy," the Dunsparce called out. "Does that mean you're good with plant stuff? If you're done trying to give yourself brain damage, could ya maybe look for some more wood?"

These guys talked too much.

Vi simply watched the brief discussion with disinterest, not removing herself from Trevors head. Well, the option to wait until morning was probably the smart and safest choice, but where was the fun in that? It didn't seem like the cave was very big in the first place, and she wasn't keen on simply waiting around for something to happen. She was going to brave that dark unknown and discover all of its contents!~

But she'd leave the little Dunslug alone for now. She should probably make sure the serpent and lizard didn't get themselves in trouble.

"Hey, I'm only really going to make sure you guys don't get jumped." Vi chimed in, still latched onto Trevor's head. "...annnd well, I don't fancy sitting on my nonexistent butt for five hours waiting around for something to happen." Finally letting Trevor's head go, she moved to the front of the party, twirling around and looking at them as they left the cave. "You wanna find secrets and stuff, you gotta find it yourself."

Once outside, Vi felt...well, pretty normal. As a ghost the cold probably wouldn't bother her much, not to mention the rain probably had zero effect on her. She cast a glance up to the sky, before zipping off a ways.

"If it's food we're looking for...I feel like I should mention I don't think I need any." She zipped back, almost hitting Trevor in the face. Man, floating was weird. Putting on the brakes was difficult. "Seems I might feed off of emotions or something. That dunsparce's anger was pretty tasty, actually, hoho."

Now that she was properly outside the cave though, Vi began cautiously observing her surroundings. It wouldn't do to get ambushed by something out here.

"Hey, so, what exactly can I do anyways?" She was a ghost, so she was assuming she had some sorta ghost-like abilities.

When the snake scolded him, Lance was quick to defend himself. "I don't care who made the fire. I refuse to endanger myself by going out in the storm. If you want to do so, then that's your problem." It seemed that Trevor, Vi, and Ravi all decided to ignore his advice and brave the storm. Even without the lightning, they risked freezing to death, or possibly meeting their end at the hands of this world's wildlife. They really had no way of knowing what they'd run into out there.

For now, the four who chose to stay could only wait. As there wasn't much else to do, Lance began to speak to the others, specifically the two that hadn't introduced themselves yet. "I suspect we'll be staying together for a while, until we find a way back to our own world. I think that, at the very least, we should know your names, yes?" Though he was confident that he'd get a name out of the yellow snake now that she didn't think she'd been kidnapped, he wasn't so sure about the acorn.

Celina

Celina looked at the group of people going to leave the cave. She then look at the dunsparce, pawniard and the seedot calmly. Well.. considering this… the pawnard could probably be able to take a physical hit…. The seedot could probably use bide… the dunsparce.. Well until she gets new moves, she can at least try to hit hard… Celina sighed as she then tried her best to fly and get use to her body, trying to move around the cave a bit. She just tries to be careful, but also try to float a bit.

”Good luck you guys… and take care and be careful… I hope nothing bad happen to you guys.” she then says to them before they leave as she float and get close to the pawniard and the others. ” Ya… names would be good here… don’t really want to call you guys by species name all the time.” she says calmly to the group. “And I do hope we can go home one day… or else we might need to learn to live here… as the form we are.” She then adds, shivering just a bit at this. Being stuck here… if the people here were all hostile, then this would not be fun at all…

Some of the Pokemon led by the flameless Charmander left, and Nathan briefly worried they would be alright, the Steel-Type had some good points. He immediately did his best to ignore those worries since it wasn't like they were or anything. Luckily he had a good way to do as the urge to ram into something had gotten even stronger. But still what if it was somehow real, after all he could feel pain.

At that time the Dunsparce spoke up and her comment about brain damage convinced himself to ram into the wall since he showed no signs of brain damage and if he wasn't feeling woozy or anything worse than some strange tension and dizziness after running into a wall at full speed for three times then it couldn't be real.

As he prepared to charge the Swablu, "Celena or something.", said they should introduce themselves. Nathan saw no need to but he also felt that if he refused she would keep bothering him about it. "You can call me Nathan."

Ravi

“Hmm...don’t you think it’ll be in our bessst interessst?” Ravi quickly hissed at the Charmander in reply.

Trevor’s question was reasonable. The laissez-faire approach wouldn’t have bugged him back on planet earth. But Ravi wasn’t entirely sure. Perhaps, it was an overactive imagination at his trope knowledge. Or a survival instinct kicked into overdrive. Whatever it was, it was becoming deeper than the desire to grab a snack. How many of them didn’t grasp the conceivable dangers of their situation? Was nobody curious or the least bit concerned about possible flooding of the cave? Or that larger and more hostile pokemon would come to seek shelter from the bad weather? It made his stomach queasy as the typical optimist to consider all these negative outcomes...though maybe that was because he needed a bite.

Before they’d even entered the storm, much of the group had dampened spirits sitting to simply wait and see. The actual specter seemed to just be enjoying the spectacle and coming across as a little airheaded. On second thought, the ghost pokemon would've been able to go by herself with less risk being hindered by the rain like Trevor or Ravi. But there was two potential issues with her going alone. One was a selfish fear about one's self-centered behavior. As Vi could find important things and keep it to herself, or hold such a favor over their heads. But Ravi dismissed that one almost immediately since he trusted in the good-naturedness of strangers. The other relating to Vi getting into trouble without anyone there to help. It was something he couldn't accept happening. Swallowing the lump of unease in his throat to prepare for his first journey into the unknown, with a smile on his face.

“We’ll return in no time with food and information! See? Even the rain’s beginning to let up!” Ravi exclaimed vibrantly. Although the sudden loudness might’ve simply startled the unexpected group. The latter sentence said to convince himself, over fooling the others. Looking on the bright side as lightning brightened his slithering stride. Sticking out his head from the cave like a child inching his foot closer to a pool. Receiving the same cold harsh reality pelting him as he jerked back his head, maintaining a straight face juxtaposed with his mind's anguished cries.

Jeri

Jeri's attempt to stretch up her body as a living windblock was hard to maintain, kind of like holding a plank. She relaxed her form, deciding to try and tense up again as soon as a particularly strong gust threatened the fire. Perhaps her attempts to shelter the fire weren't doing much, after all... but it helped her to at least feel like she could do something about her situation.

"I'm Jeri," the Dunsparce responded. "And I dunno about you all, but I have a life back home that I'd really like to get back to." Jeri let out a defeated huff, some of her spitfire fading as the misery of their collective situation began to sink in. "I'm gonna get screwed over on that scholarship cuz I'm busy being a FRICKING Dorkémon."

Jeri frowned as she looked around at the other three who had stayed in the cave. By this time, she still believed she was probably kidnapped... but not by any of these Pokémon. She worried about what kind of being could've transformed them into Pokémon... it might be something powerful. Though Jeri felt eager to use her superpowers to paralyze any lowlife who tried to threaten them, she wasn't too keen on getting Hyper Beamed by a creature with the power to drag people into a different world without them noticing.

"Hey, does this ring a bell to any of you?" the Dunsparce asked. "I'm good at survival, but I'm not a Pokémon expert. Is there some sort of Pokémon that's known for changing people's species and taking them to other planets?"

Lance

It seemed that the acorn and snake had both calmed down at this point, at least enough to reveal their names. Nathan and Jeri - now, he knew the names of everyone who'd gotten trapped here with him. Lance hoped that it was just the initial shock of waking up in a new body that made them act the way they did earlier, and that it wouldn't be a regular thing.

Now that he had a moment to think, he was finally able to take a good look at his new body. Though he wasn't sure exactly how big he was, he was clearly a lot smaller than a human. If he had to guess, this body was probably still very young. The same seemed to be true for the others, as well. More than likely, they would grow over time, but the real question was how long that would take.

In response to Jeri's question, Lance shook his head. "I've said this before, but I'm clueless when it comes to Pokemon." He then turned to the other two. "I assume you two would know? The way you've been speaking, it's clear you know something. A great deal more than we do, at least."

As the small group left the cave, the rain hasn’t really let up, but there did seem to be a slight lull in the wind. Rain was falling downwards rather than sideways now but it would only be a matter of time before the winds picked up again. The charmander and Seviper would feel the cold rain water splash against their flesh u comfortably; while not particularly painful it served as a good motivation to quickly finish their business. Vi could also feel the rain against her skin, though oddly enough the water didn’t really stick to her skin or ghostly hair; it all seemed to slide off her body. What would be more concerning for her was the wind; her lack of anchorage to the ground combined with her increasingly light weight made even these mild winds push her around. Stronger winds could very well carry her off into the unknown.

Outside of the cave was a cliff and a small slope that lead down towards the forest. By now a sizable puddle had formed at the bottom of the slope at least five inches deep, filled with muddy and chilly water. Beyond the slope was the forest which was even darker than the storm outside, but relatively more dry. The canopy at least made sure that the rain had to filter through the leaves and branches before flooding the forest floor so while the ground was damp it wasn’t flooded. There were a few bushes and shrubs, but nothing that seemed apparently edible near the cave. The group would need to venture further in if they wanted to find more.

Those who stayed back at the cave wouldn’t have much else to do but wait. The small fire was no longer smoking, however without more wood this paltry flame wouldn’t last to the night. There were some roots around that could serve as usable tinder but nothing that would truly make for good firewood. All the while the seedot’s inner energy would explode forth, sending his body into a violent collusion towards a wall. He slammed into the wall with far greater force than he could have mustered on his own... But aside from that nothing really grand occurred. He felt dizzier than before, but aside from that no real damage had been made.

Except a few minutes later, a crack formed where the seedot had smashed his head into. And from that crack was a faint yellow quartz. Beyond that there didn’t seem to be anything else in the cave, unless they wanted to dig around some more. Another flash of lightning illuminated the cave, followed by a cold wind that would chill the little Pokémon here. And then, silence.

Celina

Celina heard what lance asked, thinking and nod a bit. “Ironically… I was playing that game before I went to bed… though I was just dreaming here…. Thought that maybe it was cause I was playing it all day that I was brought here… but I don’t think it’s the case cause of you guys being here also.” She then says a bit sadly. Well, at least she didn’t end up as a muk or something similar, cause that would have been something she would have really.. REALLY hated.

With the group leaving the case, Celina was left with the others that could only wait, with the fire dying down a bit. One thing for sure, it won’t last that long. She think a bit as she practiced flying a bit more, then though about it. “Once the rain lets up…. If I get used to this body I could try to bring some branches over here to help with the fire.” she then said calmly to them. She just relaxed a bit.

As Celina looked at the seedot and what it did to the wall, she was rather surprised. For someone that small going and doing a hit like that… It was rather surprising a bit. And the faint yellow crystal that she saw intrigued her. She flew to it and tried to observe it a bit, pecking a bit at it, intrigue by it but very careful. “Uhm.. wonder what that is...” she then says calmly, worried just a bit.

Celina wasn't the only surprised by the damage Nathan did to the wall. "Wow." He was curious about the quartz but too dizzy to try ramming the wall again, instead he sat down and waited for the world to stop spinning.

The Dunsparce and the Seviper brought up a good point and just in case this was real Nathan decided to tell the others what he knew. "The only Pokémon I can think of is Arcues who is described as the creator of the Pokémon world, though his stats aren't necessary higher than those of other legendaries. That said the transformed into Pokémon thing only happened in the Mystery Dungeon games which I know nothing about. Anyway that Charmander seemed to know more than me." He then noticed Celena picking at the crystal while slowly moving closer to the fire, trying not too trip or fall. "No idea."

Trevor looked back one last time, and noticed that the fire wasn't really doing too well... "Hey, maybe we should bring back some more wood, too... of course, it won't be dry, immediately, but uh... it'll still help, I think," he said as he followed the slope down into the forest, where any number of pokemon could attack him... thankfully, they were likely to be bug or grass types, and while he didn't have an OFFENSIVE edge against them, yet, he could still defend their attacks rather well. He thought about learning the move Ember, and then remembered that, due to the rain, it still wouldn't do much to any potential grass types, or bug types. By the time he got to the bottom of the slope, Trevor tried to just jump over the puddle, hoping to keep as dry as he can, just in case he still takes damage from being in the stuff. He then remembered the ghost who attached herself to him, and he finally responded "Uh... let's see... maybe you could try astonish, or um... shadow sneak? If that fails, maybe try to use something like a psychic beam, of some sort... maybe that would work," He then continued through the forest, almost immediately getting lost, and relying on his teammates to tell him which way was the right way. Trevor then turned his attention to Ravi, again, and he thought for a moment before asking... "Hey, Ravi, would you mind keeping a lookout for anything moving? The smaller moving things might be edible, and the larger ones might be something to avoid," he... hoped Ravi could do something like that, but, Trevor kept telling himself that if there's one thing snakes are good at, it's finding and tracking prey.

So far the elements indeed, seemed to not be bothering her. The rain didn't seem to phase completely through her, but it slid off of her skin like some sort of water resistant fabric. Good, then. She could probably stay out here awhile without worrying about getting a nasty cold or something. However, there was something she was most certainly growing increasingly concerned about. The wind was threatening to toss her body around like a balloon. If she wasn't careful, she was going to get carried away into some unknown area.

While exciting, she also didn't fancy dying.

"Son of a- Hey, lizard, I'm gonna use your shiny bald head as an anchor. This wind is gonna blow me away in the non-fun ways." Vi grunted, latching onto Trevors head again once they had reached the bottom of the slope. A large puddle had formed, muddy cold water having run off of the slope. So far, the trek seemed uneventful and not much was going on. At least Trevor was continuing to prove useful.

"Psychic stuff, huh? Makes sense if Ghosts are anything like their earthly counterparts." Vi mused as the Charmander finished his explanation. He didn't explain very much what 'Shadow Sneak' or 'Astonish' was, but she understood the psychic beam bit a bit more. Well, all she'd have to do was give it a try.

Hm. Maybe some real world pseudoscience could help here? She was a paranormal and history scholar, but she did know a few things.

Still holding onto Trevor to anchor herself, Vi closed her eyes and tried to clear her mind as one would normally try to do when attempting to meditate, or otherwise gather their thoughts and focus. Next, the Ghost type opened her luminescent blue eyes, focusing on a point just in front of the snake, imagining it burning or being blasted by some unseen force with all the willpower she could muster.

If successful, it'd probably be funny.

As the remaining group had the righteous task to guard the cozy, albeit diminishing fire. Ravi internally prepared to lose his body heat. Refusing to come back empty handed—he didn’t have time to think of more proportionally appropriate words right now! He headed out with the other two and acted as the proverbial lookout for potential danger, while also looking for tasty morsels. Attempting to make as much use of the terrain as possible, he quickly slithered through the least drenched areas. The wind may have slowed, but the rain was still pelting upon them. The crackling thunder had likely struck down branches and hopefully some food happened to be on them...

Two obstacles laid before them; a cold puddle formed at the bottom of a slope and a shadowy forest. Though in his case, he was a snake with all the benefits that entailed. An infrared or thermal vision that bypassed that issue and helped him focus on his mission. Constantly sticking out his tongue to smell his surroundings as he carefully descended the slope.

“Well Vi can float past and probably see in the darkness? A ghost can do that right? Trevor might be able to jump over it? I’m long enough that maybe I can stretch myself without-” Ravi thoughts were cut off with Trevor doing just that. He could respect someone that takes a leap of faith. His narrow eyes twinkling as he received his request, gleefully thinking. “Yay. I’m wanted!”

“Ah. Yesss.” Ravi replied slyly. His eyes combing over the best spot to cross without getting wetter, soon noticing a larger branch that had fallen and created a bridge. “Lucky me. That looks like my ticket across.” He smiled and quickly crossed to the other side. Finally going through the forest as Ravi was searching for lower holes inside the trees or in the ground. Looking for some bug pokemon that might've sought shelter from the storm and crawled inside. So he could stab his tail through them and yank them out like a pokemon shish kebab. Mmm...er—

Ravi was unaware of Vi’s mischievous intentions; trying to either set him on fire, or use some magical ghost-like force. The likelihood of being set on fire in this rain wouldn't have entered his mind. And he could only assume they'd be too weak to actually fight much of anything or use their abilities without proper food and sleep. Only getting themselves exhausted for trying and exerting the minimal energy we had left. Which he certainly didn't want to do while the question of how dangerous this area truly was remained unknown. Though in all honesty, even if it worked, he'd still be none the wiser...
