@vietmyke Interesting haha

I guess my only question if I can "reserve" a slot? I'd like to just sit back and see what it's about and if it catches my interest. It's one of those things that I realize is somewhat unimportant given the nature of RPs (and that characters are what drive them), but I just always feel iffy joining something I can't fully get behind haha

Of course, I understand if you don't want that ^^

@6slyboy6 You can always take a read through the prior iterations to see if they're something your speed

@Rapid Reader, @Dog, it seems our cast has dropped a bit- Whoami's let me know that she's doing some service related stuff for a month or so. So it'll be down to the 3 of us without some extra blood. Do you guys mind waiting for some new interest, or would you like to get started sooner rather than later?

I won't be going anywhere. I can wait.

I'll admit I have some interest, but the only real idea I have at the moment involves a smaller, more "portable" suit, think the Interceptor from Anthem. I know it's not exactly what was displayed but the idea came to mind and I feel that I could at least to attempt to work on it, even if it doesn't end up being an accepted final product.

Basic idea would be the suit revolving around in-field repairs, given that any concept of the Interceptor would be based around it's fragility compared to the other "suits" but it's increased agility. For this? Thinking low fire-power but higher technical applications, as said before, repairs, being a nuisance to enemy suits if push comes to shove. Overall a repair or scout unit depending on how it's equipped given it's smaller size and 'air superiority'

Actually just fully read the information on the Mobile Armor Suit Builder section regarding "ultra-light" suits and it seems my idea would most likely fit that role, and given that such classifications are under "unplayable" I'll assume my idea is as well lol

@TinyKiwi hey! Yeah unfortunately with the way warfare kinda goes, using an ultra light outside of an infantry support role is more of a liability than anything. The weapons they carry are generally not strong enough to pose a viable threat to larger machines,

That being said I'd be willing to make an exception if you wanted to go the combat repairs and refit route- just know that you wouldn't be putting out much in the way of combat

It's been a while and I've gotten no word from potential new blood, so I think at this point we'll probably call it here and try again in a little while

@vietmyke

Count me in, gimme just a moment to draw up a character and a mech. By the look of it you already have 2 or 3 players confirmed, so allow me to add myself to that number.

You have one, maybe two extra players I can bring with me who have been looking for an RP to sink their teeth into if you're willing to get this rolling again, for sure

Awk. Well I suppose if we can get a few more ready and rolling I guess we can kick things off after all!

A friend pointed me in the direction of this RP, and since I'm thinking of scratching my sci-fi itch, I might give this a shot. What are your thoughts on a heavy utility mech with themes of field construction (and repair), entrenchment, and demolition?

@Hawthorne Something like that could definitely work! Something like a mech based combat engineer? Repairing other mechs mid combat might be a big of a tall task- though resupplying and quick patches may be possible. Entrenchment and demolitions all sound good to me though

Sounds about right. I was thinking of a blue-collar worker working in construction and mining, who eventually joined the 101st through various circumstances. The mech itself would be largely utility-based but could hold its own in a fight if it had to. Are drones a thing?

Drones are a thing! With some limitations- probably nothing close to like nanobot swarms, but yes they are a thing
