Couldn't agree more.

So I recently started learning blacksmithing. So far, I've made a few knives, but once my skills improve, I want to start making swords.


Are you interested in crafting a certain type of sword in the future? For example focusing your practical skills and knowledge on perfecting Longswords, or Rapiers, or Katanas, etc. Or do you to plan to be diverse and forge a variety of blades.

@Leonas To be fair, I wouldn't trust you with a toothpick good sir.

@Chasebloodcrest European blades mostly, so focusing on longswords, arming swords, rapiers and maybe down the road a claymore or zweihander. Trust me, I would love to learn Japanese sword making, but it is an art that takes nearly decades to master.

That's spot on. Apparently the forging process of a real katana can take almost four months for a single one, and that is likely due to the steel they use. I believe it was called Tamahagane if my memory serves me right.

Correcto!

Tamahagane is basically a high carbon steel that is folded over multiple times, and the process can take up to days.@Chasebloodcrest

One of my pet peeves - 'Christmas songs' that are more about romantic relationships than Christmas, especially that one overhyped and overplayed Mariah Carey song heard in every mall every Christmas, we all know which one that is. (Nothing against Mariah Carey though, I like other stuff by her. Just that one song, it gets on my nerves.)

My pet peeve, purchasing something and then finding out, "Yo, you paid that much! you could have saved 95% elsewhere!" Great learning experience for sure, but just the do I return it or not? Crap.

Most of the silver rings in my collection are costum made to either fit my individuality and style, or to represent a specific intricate meaning that I would want to mortalize— be it a memory, a person, or a secret.

My favorite one so far would be the Serpent Three-fingers Ring, which like the name suggested, is shaped like a silver serpent coiling perfectly around three fingers.
