The Weeping
Location: Fat Tony's Warehouse, The Melting Pot, Eastern Nighthaven, Paragon City
Skills used: Host of Many
The Weeping nodded at Amara to show that he agreed to her terms. Taking the amulet, he cradled it in his hands as his attention was placed back on the original intruder. Wordlessly he placed the amulet on a small table besides the corpse as The Weeping was currently lacking in the clothing department. His body though masculine in shape lacked any signs of being male or female.
He called upon the chaotic masses to aid him in his hunt, but they were oddly silent as his orange eyes shifted towards that woman.
“Cowards.”
He thought as all of the voices began to holler at him in retort, but he ignored them as he leaped into the shadows. Reappearing where Julia had been but finding the space empty. A slight frown crossed his face as he slowly but thoroughly began to search each room through the shadows finding her to be well and truly gone. This would have been so much quicker if they helped him.
He sighed as he allowed himself to sink like a stone in a lake. The shadows embracing him until he finally landed back into the hidden interrogation room. The Weeping found it empty and now all of a sudden, the spirits began to venture out. His eye twitched slightly in irritation as he opened up a closet and began to put on the clothing that was in. Quickly donning a pair of black pants and a long-sleeved trench coat.
He nearly closed the closet when a slight chuckle escaped his mouth. He reached out tentatively but stopped himself. It almost seemed silly, but to be fair he had never worn one before. After a small internal conflict of fashion. His hands gripped the hat in the closest. It was a fedora that matched the trench coat.
Despite the chorus of voices he could hear urging him to take off the hat he paid them no mind as he felt somewhat relieved that now maybe he could go out in public without terrifying people....right away.
Grabbing the amulet and pocketing it as he left the room using the shadows and got back up to the first floor the Weeping heard several gun shots. His eyes narrowed and he growled. All he wanted was peace and quiet. It was already bad enough this stupid woman was using him as an errand boy, now someone was causing chaos in his alley ways.
He glanced out the doorway to see what looked like a homeless man he had never seen before yelling and waving a handgun around.
“I already told you bring me Fat Tony! If I have to say it again, my next shots won't miss!”
The Weeping could see several of the homeless cowering in front of him. As he stepped out on the steps his feet kicked several beer cans alerting the gunman. This man knew all of Fat Tony's crew and he could tell this fedora wearing fool was not one of them. He fired off a few rounds as the Weeping melted into the shadows the bullets missing him entirely.
The gunman's mouth dropped open as he rushed towards the spot the man had vanished.
“Where is he?!” He asked frantically as his eyes scanned the darkness. “I could have sworn I clocked him...”
As his bewilderment grew a sudden hand forced itself through the darkness and tightly crushed the man's hand forcing him to drop the gun as he raised him skyward.
“So you want to scare people?”
A wicked grin crossed the Weeping's lips as he revealed his razor sharp teeth. His free hand grabbing a rusty piece of steel rebar from a collapsed section of wall.
“Fine.” He growled.
“I could use a scarecrow.”
Taking the man to the entrance of the Melting Pot alley, he slammed the man up against the wall and jammed one end of the piece of rebar dangerously close to the man's neck. Then taking both hands, he bent it around the man's neck, so that he was now pinned here. Forced to stand on his tip toes least he suffocates.
He slowly pressed his sharp index finger against the man's temple as a small trail of blood ran down the man's face.
“You tell them, all I want is peace and quiet. Stay. Out. Of. My. Alleys.” He was careful to enunciate each word slowly. As The Weeping faded into the shadows beside the man and eventually came out on top of the building. He frowned as he fished out the amulet and looked down at it. Moving it around in his fingers he noticed that depending on the direction he was facing it would glow ever so slightly. Facing the direction it was barely glowing he dived into the shadows.
The hunt had begun.
