Alright, i'm torn and need help with my sheet. So far the Confirmed characters i'm putting for Super BFF's are:

Team:
*Wonder Woman
*Super Girl
*Hope Pym (She's going to fill in for Batgirl seeing how they're all taken)
*Jessica Cruz

So, i'm looking for one more heroine, i think 5 is a good number to round out the team, so i'm trying to think of a good heroine to add, preferably someone street level, so as not to overstack the team. So far i'm thinking:

*Jubilee (Sort of filling the Bumblebee roll of being really uncertain of herself being that Wondie and Kara can crush buildings and she just makes sparks)
*Ororo Munroe/Kymera (Kinda like the idea of them filling the Zatana role for magic-like abilities, but definitely not street level.)
*X23 (@Lord Wraith The more i think about this route, the more i like it. The idea would be that she was made from Logans DNA left over from the Weapon X program, but due to a massive cock-up in shipping, her fetus was accidentally mixed up in transit with a separate fetus that was being transported by the same courier, meaning that she was eventually implanted in some poor unsuspecting woman as a daughter, meanwhile their actual daughter was probably disposed of as a failure for the X-Gene to take hold. Could potentially do something with it later on, but because she has no idea who or what a Wolverine is and Logan also doesn't have much memory of Weapon X, both can pretty much ignore each other's existance at the beginning. But this is entirely up to you if you like it.)
*Squirrel Girl (Because her limitless energy and enthusiasm would fit in perfectly)

Also, i'm trying to think of good first stage villains that work for The Agency. Someone, once again street level, who the gang can constantly get 1-up over. Currently thinking along the lines of:
*Firefly (Assuming @Master Bruce has no plans for him)
*Hector Hammond
*Captain Boomerang
*Toyman
*Tombstone
*Bullseye
*Black Ant

Thoughts would be appreciated.

That feels like a League level team. Any reason you're opposed to just narrowing in on one of those characters?

Not really "A league level team" Remember that they are going to be young and inexperienced. Currently closer to Teen Titans level.

Plus, one of the major story-factors i'm looking to explore is the juxtaposition between "We're the Super BFF's and we're here to kick butt and eat ice-cream." with what happens after they piss off Waller enough to order Major Force to give them a grim reminder of why you don't fuck with the US of A. (I'm pretty much thinking of making Zmeck into The Agency's Frank Horrigan)

Think of it as the same kind of juxtaposition as When they killed Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends in Spider-verse.

I mean, i can go for a more focussed story, but in that case, it's not this one. As i said, i'm still slightly tempted with T'Challa and Storm running the Mutant Railroad story.

My two cents, Matt, are that you're trying to do too much, and, in doing so, you're inadvertently going to monopolize five different franchises. It's not like you're forming a team with characters who are inherently related, or with characters who are more obscure/less sought after. You're wanting to run with a concept that is entirely A and B listers who are disjointed from one another. And, honestly, I'm not seeing the why. To me, it seems more like a "I want to do an all women super team because that seems cool" and less like "I have this cohesive concept I want to run that involves an all women super team."

@Retired See, that's one of the main concerns i mentioned about having. "Waiting to see if anyone wants Wonder Woman or Supergirl or anyone" But at the same time, if nobody else has an idea for these characters, then what's the harm in adapting a team full of characters that nobodies using. Plus, people seemed tentatively interested in the idea when i mentioned it first time.

That being said, your post is making me lean more towards just the comparitively simple Black Panther idea.

As I know a couple of people are struggling to nail down concepts. Best advice if you're wanting to join and write is just the couple of ideas you're not sure about? Just write them down. Once you're writing you'll figure out what comes to you organically and what you need to force.

I am not convinced that is as universally true as it should be.

@Terry Bogard perhaps the Guardians came to help against the Reach and Drax and any other survivors are now trapped in Earth?

Could be, but what should be the reason why they fight the Reach?

Or maybe I can introduce him the way his solo run from the 2000s reintroduced him... Does that make sense to the plot?

@Terry Bogard I'd honestly argue you could make a case for Deathstroke. I have portrayed in him in previous iterations of these games as have others. So if he was a character you had interest in, I'd say go for it.

Oh, nice! But if I were to go with Deathstroke, probably I’d need to learn more about his character, considering I barely even wrote him. Now, as a fellow long-time comic book reader, I understand his character, his abilities, and have always liked him. I always thought a mercenary who can copy moves and wield a sword gifted directly to you by a god to kill gods was simply badass. In fact, he was even my main in the first Injustice. I just thought that I needed to dive deeper into his lore and do a bit more research to portray him as well as I do Peter and Logan, and it’s probably gonna take a while lol.

Now that you said it, has there been anybody in this particular thread who wrote Deathstroke before? Considering you said that both you and others have tried it.

Because, in the greater universe among civilized spacefaring planets, it is known what the Reach does to worlds. It's known that they go to developing planets who have yet to discover their place in the cosmos, and they fuck shit up. One of the Guardians had a personal connection to this, and when it was discovered that some backwater world had been targeted by the Reach years ago, they decided to act.

That's just one justification off the top of my head. If you want to write the Guardians, and you want to base them on Earth in this setting, it wouldn't be difficult to weave them into the narrative.

The problem is, though, that I think you'll find it to be difficult to maintain the Guardians as part of the narrative for long. The conceit of this game means you'd have to have them stick around on Earth, which severely undercuts the entire point of the Guardians of the Galaxy. It's not just about having a character concept that can be woven into the narrative, but having a character concept that has a reason to still exist within the narrative.

My two cents again.

The biggest enemy those of us in the community have is hemming and hawing when it comes to posting. It'll never be as good as you want. It'll never be as bad as you think. If it's the same content either way, just split in two or not, then in the long run it doesn't matter and you should just pick a path.
