Just to let everyone know it seems Imgur has for whatever reason been blocked in the UK. This is my main image hosting website of choice, so if anyone has any recommendations for others please let me know. Unfortuantely the below is all I see if something is posted through Imgur!
I'll be catching up on what posts I haven't read this morning, and I'll get another Bat post up later today!

The regenerative process is automatic, which means that Wolverine has zero control over it. Initially, his healing factor only took up to hours or minutes to recover near-fatal injuries until the experimental procedure that bonded his skeleton with the Adamantium metal (we’ll get to that later). Since then, his healing factor works a few milliseconds slower than prior to the Adamantium bonding. In addition, this mutated manifestation renders him immune to all sorts of substances and diseases, as well as capable of hindering most of his tragic memories in the past, which unfortunately causes him to suffer from serious memory issues. ◼ RETRACTABLE CLAWS Part of Wolverine’s skeleton comprises of six lengthy bone claws stowed underneath the skin of his forearms—three in each. Consciously, Wolverine can draw out one or all of them through the gaps between his knuckles at any given time. Even prior to the Adamantium bonding, the bone claws were keener and firmer than normal bones, capable of piercing many arduous materials. The Adamantium bonding only amplified their strength further, rendering them indestructible. ◼ HEIGHTENED SENSES Wolverine’s senses far surpass those of average human being’s, most notably his sight, hearing, and smell. He can hear sounds from a far greater distance, see further than any or most men, and even recognize and track his target merely through their scent. However, his heightened senses can often be taken advantage of, as a thunderclap might cause him to suffer from sensory overload. ◼ SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH Wolverine’s arduous skeleton—coupled with his healing factor regularly recovering his muscles—grants him the ability to withstand unimaginable physical pressure and throw heavier physical blows than average trained pugilists can. This also allows him to lift up to 800 lbs. ◼ SUPERHUMAN SPEED While far from the fastest, Wolverine can move at decent superhuman speed, especially in combat. He can attack faster than the eye can catch up, even easily bombarding his adversary before they can land a blow. ◼ SUPERHUMAN ENDURANCE Due to his healing factor, Wolverine can exert himself physically for several continuous days without suffering from fatigue. The Adamantium bonding only amplified his durability further. ◼ SUPERHUMAN REFLEXES AND AGILITY Wolverine’s heightened senses enhance both his reflexes and agility beyond those of average human beings’, allowing him to react to any assault precisely. ◼ ANIMAL EMPATHY Honed during his time in the wilderness, Wolverine can communicate with animals on a basic level, managing to perceive their feelings and displaying his intentions to gain their trust.- T O O L (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ ADAMANTIUM After a freak experiment at the Weapon X facility, Wolverine’s entire skeleton was fused with Adamantium—one of the strongest, rarest metals in the world. As a result, his bones are practically unbreakable, increasing the strength of his flails and kicks. The Adamantium fusion has also improved the strength of his already sturdy bone claws. They are capable of slicing through just about any concrete material, although whether or not the claws can penetrate an object completely still depends on its density and the amount of force that Wolverine employs. - N O T A B L E S K I L L S & T A L E N T S N O T A B L E S K I L L S & T A L E N T S - S K I L L (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ TRACKING Wolverine’s heightened senses allow him to hone his tracking skills to perfection, making him one of the finest trackers in the world. ◼ MARTIAL ARTS MASTERY Due to his extensive combat experience, Wolverine has mastered a variety of self-defense methods of different martial arts disciplines across the world. This allows him to adapt to all sorts of martial arts practitioners, greatly aiding him during his stint as a cage fighter. ◼ WEAPONS PROFICIENCY Wolverine is proficient in utilizing all sorts of blades, explosives, and armed weapons, thanks to his experiences as a soldier and a mercenary. ◼ VEHICLES PROFICIENCY Wolverine can operate and repair different types of vehicles, most notably motorcycles. At one point, he was an accomplished pilot during his stint in the Canadian military. ◼ ASSASSINATION As somebody who spends most of his life in the battlefield, Wolverine knows dozens of effective methods in executing his adversaries, especially when blades are involved. ◼ MULTILINGUAL Wolverine is a polyglot who understands many languages, such as English, Japanese, Russian, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, Farsi, French, German, Thai, and Vietnamese.- T A L E N T (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ ABOVE NORMAL INTELLIGENCE Wolverine’s intelligence is slightly above normal, allowing him to demonstrate the ability to learn, absorb, and process information faster than most human beings. - | T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... The year was 1922. James “Jimmy” Howlett was born the son of Elizabeth Howlett, the wife of the Howlett Estate’s owner John Howlett. In reality, however, Jimmy was the illegitimate fruit of a secret affair between Elizabeth and Thomas Logan, the groundskeeper working for the wealthy Howlett family. Although loved and cared by his extended family and servants residing in the mansion, Jimmy’s childhood was a rocky one, as he spent most of the time laying ill on his bed, barely able to do anything. This soon changed, one fateful night, when Thomas breached through the mansion drunk and forced Elizabeth to come with him. Furious to learn about the affair, John confronted Thomas, engaging himself in an intense verbal exchange with the groundskeeper which soon became physical. Thomas, armed with a shotgun, decided to blow John’s head into smithereens, instantly ending the scuffle. Hearing the loud gunfire and his mother’s shriek for help, the alarmed Jimmy forced himself to rise out of his sickbed and scurried towards the scene, only to be devastated by the sight of John’s lifeless form laying close to his terrified mother. In a fit of rage, Jimmy subconsciously retracted his bone claws out of his knuckles, revealing his genetical mutation for the first time. With them, he wounded his biological father several times before stabbing him in cold blood, aiming at his heart. In his dying breath, Thomas finally revealed to young Jimmy that he was his true father and not John, much to Jimmy’s dismay. Shocked and horrified, Jimmy ran out of the mansion and into the wilderness, spending the rest of his early years residing in a Cold Lake forest with a pack of wolves. It was around this time when Jimmy began adopting the name “Logan” as a tribute to his biological father. In 1941, the Canadian government initiated a nation-wide search for every adult man with “X-Genes” for their classified military program dubbed the “Weapon X.” Logan, who was only 19 at the time, was one of the X-Gene carriers drafted to partake in the program, becoming a brother-in-arms to a fellow feral mutant by the name of Victor Creed. His stint in the army was far from humane to say the least, as he and the other Weapon X members were continuously tormented, brainwashed, and experimented on by researchers in an enclosed facility. The purpose was to improve their mutations to help Canada and the Allies win the second World War. While some like Victor willingly accepted the programming, Logan, on the other hand, chose to rebel, questioning the methods that the researchers used to upgrade their living weapons any chance he could. As a result, he became the primary subject of experimentation, receiving both physical and mental torments far beyond human comprehension. With each torment, they forced Logan to abandon his humanity, gradually leading him to insanity. Eventually, as the conflict between nations heated, so had Logan reached his limits. Despite his healing factor, he couldn’t withstand the torments and intense brainwashing much further when they began infusing a heavy dosage of Adamantium alloy into his bones. The process was extremely agonizing that it prompted Logan to snap out of the programming, causing him to enter a berserker state where he found himself mindlessly attacking several researchers and even fellow mutant soldiers on sight. Some were injured, but most were killed, including Victor’s younger brother Saul. By the time he escaped the facility, Logan had almost no recollection of his past, as his healing factor repressed all the traumatic memories that’d been burdening him since the moment he discovered his mutation. He ended up returning to the same forest he used to reside in, now completely animalistic. Thankfully, before long, his healing factor managed to recover his sanity back, and by the time he’d regained complete awareness, he abandoned the forest to spend the next decades of his life wandering aimlessly from places to places, working as a hired mercenary and an unauthorized cage fighter to put his animalistic tendency to good use. However, as he grew older and wiser, Logan began to grow tired of living a violent life. While he still participates in local bar fights every now and then, he’s long left his old life to reside in the Canadian Rockies, enjoying tranquility with his sweetheart Silver Fox and her fellow Blackfoot tribesmen. But with a ghost from his past returning to haunt him, how long will the tranquility last? P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) Why do I want to play this character? That’s the first question that I believe we’ll all find upon filling up this exact section of the character sheet, eventually. I think—at least for me—the reason is obvious. For those who have known me long enough (obviously the guys who I got to interact with before I went to RPG), they’d know that Wolverine is one of my all-time favorites within the broader Marvel verse. After all, I used to spend a lot of my time playing this good ol’ Canucklehead within group settings similar to this, but alas, that was ages ago. I haven’t quite played him that much ever since, so when the chance is present, you bet that I wouldn’t hesitate to apply for him. Now, in addition, I’ve been a fan of him for a long time. Aside from Spidey, Wolverine is another one of those comic book tough guys who I can easily resonate with. While I’m not a century old boomer who’s been through wars and tragedies beyond human comprehension, I am—in fact—somebody who often enjoys staying in solitude just as much as Wolverine does. And it can’t help when I was something of a loner growing up, so Wolverine and his stories always touch me on a personal level. Now, as far as the direction of his story is concerned, I’m thinking of building Wolverine’s inclusion to the X-Men gradually to focus on adapting the story where he met Silver Fox and the Blackfoot tribesmen, but instead of taking place prior to World War I, this exact angle will take place at the present day when Wolverine has gone through World War II and the experimentation performed upon him by the Weapon X researchers—hence the reason why I decided to make him younger than two centuries. The main inspiration for my Wolverine is his Earth-616 counterpart, but I’ll also take a bit from other versions outside of the mainline comics, most notably the live action adaptations. Say what you want about the movie, but X-Men Origins is partially to blame for inspiring me to go ahead and pair Wolverine and Silver Fox to start this series of stories. I also thought that the movie could’ve been told differently, so I want to give retelling it a try if this can be considered a retelling, anyway. I’ll definitely ditch and repair obvious plot elements here and there (including the not-so-mouthful Barakapool and Sabretooth being Wolverine’s brother), but I digress. There are, of course, playable characters I hope Wolverine gets to interact with as the game progresses, especially those connected to him and/or the X-Men. Well, that, if anybody’s up for collaborations in the future. I might not be the best there is at what I do, but I hope my stories can bring the same kind of intensity that you’d find from reading an actual Wolverine comic. Excelsior! |

◼ ABILITY
* Absolute Peak human across the board due to the Super Soldier Serum.
* Agelessness. Steve Rogers was medicated with an elixir in Granny Goodness' Orphanage that cursed him with the inability to die from the natural aging process. This was designed to rob his mind of the hope for death to bring him sweet release from the interminable torture he would be made to endure.

◼ TOOL
The Shield - Two and a half feet in diameter, weighing twelve pounds and comprised of an unbreakable vibranium/proto-adamantium alloy. Perfectly balanced, and seemingly able to absorb everything and anything.
Sidearms - Twin M1911A1 Colt .45 pistols. Regular issue from his WWII days in the U.S. Army. Generally remain holstered.
Armour - Steve Rogers wears a unique kevlar-weave highly durable chainmail which is too heavy and expensive for common regular usage. It provides high level protection to most conventional forms of attack. Steve also carries a small utility belt with mission specific tools and ordnance, and a S.H.I.E.L.D issued communication device (smart phone) of Stark design which he is still coming to terms with, and jokingly refers to as 'Motherbox'.
Nobody else gets the reference.

T H E S T O R Y S O F A R...The Sentinel of Liberty!
Captain America's tale has spanned for almost a hundred years. Steve Rogers, rejected by the US Army during World War II as a sickly, weedy lad, was accepted upon recommendation by Dr Abraham Erskine for Project Rebirth. The singular successful administeration of the Super Soldier Serum of the doctor's own design, and became the recipient of a unique prototype shield, comprised of an alloy which included a rare element of which limited knowledge existed at the time.
'Captain America fought alongside his partner James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes and the Invaders - a group formed to take down the worst of the Axis forces, comprised of the synthetic human android 'Jim Hammond' who would burst into flames when exposed to oxygen, his young orphaned human ward Toro the Flaming Boy with his circus background, and Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner of little known Atlantis who joined the allies after Nazi divers were found encroaching on soverign Atlantean territory.
They cut a path through to Germany, seeking to bring an end to the Reich and Hitler's rule. Hitler spun off an 'unconventional armourment' division of the Nazi war machine, under 'Hydra' their efforts had many faces. With Joseph Goebbels in charge of the forward facing propaganda machine and 'Public Enlightenment', numerous Generals in charge of conventional warfare and stretching and spreading the Allied forces, it was Johann Schmidt who was left in charge of finding a final solution that would bring a swift and decisive victory to Hitler and the Reich.
As the Allied forces battered against the Nazis, Hydra became more desperate, seeking solutions less from technological and innovate leaps in science and more into strange new places in the occult. Delving into dark, forbidden and oft forgotten lore of old gods and new.
The final month must have seen some kind of impressive breakthrough, as strange and fantastic new technology and weaponry flooded the final German lines as the forces had all but converged on Berlin. Schmidt fled to Eagle's Nest - Hitler's holiday home high up in the Bavarian Mountains thirty kilometres south of Salzburg.
Conventional troops remained and maintained their action, striking against Berlin in what would be Hitler's last days, whilst Captain America and the Invaders - more adept at dealing with his unconventional tactics and resources - followed the wily Schmidt, who by this time had become known as Codename: Red Skull in communications.
Eagle's Nest proved treacherous. The Kehlsteinhaus was highly defensible, perched upon a sub-peak of the perilously armed Hoher Göll, Hitler's 'holiday home' was commissioned by the Nazi Party and furnished for official and social functions. But the Allies had it surrounded as they scaled, so the only formal diplomatic meeting Schmidt could possibly hope to engage in was one with Steve Rogers fist.
Surely.
The winds and snow proved difficult for Hammond and Toro to overcome. It even managed to slow Namor, previously thought to be a tank of immense power, as his path were met by scores of armourments fit for purpose in targeting the haughty Prince.
Rogers even saw Bucky Barnes fall by the wayside, disappearing down the snow covered slopes away, echoing calls fading into the abyss.
Captain America became more determined to see that the losses earned on this day would not be in vain.
Finally breaching the premises, Captain America found the trimmings and decor to be overly furnished. Even for Nazi top brass. This was waiting for someone or something. It was laid out for a state visit.
It reeked of an ambush.
And of course Schmidt met the drama of the situation. His voice echoing through the hall. The spiel, the strength of blah-bla-blah. Schmidt liked to talk. Rogers had lost too much to talk.
The two men pulled sidearms. Rogers struck first and true. But he could have sworn he heard laughter along with the final rustle, emanating from the Red Skull.
And then the sound.
BOOM!
Well before the sight. It was all encompassing. From everywhere all at once. He was in the middle of it.
And then he found himself in a space between places. Looking up at the darkest of all visages.
Darkseid is.
A suitable name, for one who would come to represent the sum of all fears.
This being controlled all in his domain under a totalitarian rule that could only have been the true aspiration of Schmidt and those he'd been fighting all these years.
Rogers was whisked away to the Pits. To 'The Orphanage', which was either a torture chamber, a 'rehabilition center' or a breeding ground for all the darkness of one's soul.
Here he was to undertake a pattern of being broken and reassembled and broken again, physically, mentally and spiritually until he would no longer be able to see the joins or cracks evident of the fact he was once a different being, before he could finally be put to use as an ever-obedient tool for the use of 'Granny Goodness' and Lord Darkseid. Here in this place where the passage of time had no meaning and hours and centuries had no meaning. For in a place without time, how could hope exist? A second Rebirth to have him born anew as a being with no self beyond the whim of Darkseid.
Or at least that was the plan.
Having been given an elixir which would prolong his life to match the interminable term of his duration, a man who had been cursed to never know complete death, was gifted his own life back once more.
By a man called Scott Free.
A daring and miraculous escape, utilitising all of the tools at his disposal - motherbox, his aero-discs and the wonderful Multi-cube soon gave new meaning to the Sentinel of Liberty who once again had found his freedom, even from the darkest pits of despair.
'Mister Miracle' as he announced himself, had heard tell of a captive from one of Darkseid's interests, a strange world now on the scope of the Master of Darkness, He of the Omega Sanction. Moving against Darkseid cost him a valuable asset, Big Barda - one of Granny Goodness' own Female Furies - who had been providing intelligence on the movements of the forces of Apokolips. She had to be removed from her place for her own safety. Not that she seemed to mind, she seemed somewhat taken with the idea of instead fighting by Scott Free's side, rather than working and worrying about him from her post.
Captain America was boom tubed back into our world. A new world, of lattes and laptops. Of sushi and streaming.
A world of prolonged peace. And compromise in the interest of maintaining such a prolonged peace.________________________________________________________________________________________P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )
P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )I'm bringing a global Captain America to the game. One who operates on the global sphere, wouldn't think that needs to be said, but a lot of the times in these games Captain America gets stranded on home shores defending the nation, when I think he's best suited away from home where his movements are less prone to politicisation by domestic elements. On foreign shores, he's trusted by the people to be acting in American interests, and in the case of this RP those interests will mostly be in protecting liberty and freedom from tyranny and justice at length. Hopefully by actually stating my intent, I can live up to it and keep him working on that level mostly.
This is a Captain America who saw the rising spectre of fascism both abroad, and attemtping to take hold with fifth columnists at home. He's seen how darkness can look to take grip.
He's also witnessed Apokolips. Where such darkness and tyranny is absolute, in true totalitarianism.
He's well versed in the fragility of liberty, freedom and the intrinsic value therein. Not just in seeing how it can slide away, but how hard it can be to penetrate the darkness once it's truly able to take hold.

T H E S T O R Y S O F A R...
- 35 Years Ago: Robert Bruce Banner is born to the geneticist Dr. Brian Banner and his wife Rebecca. Their home life is very private and secretive, and Brian is known for being standoffish and easily frustrated at work, especially as he is repeatedly passed over for promotions or recognition. Dark rumors circulate that the insecure and volatile Dr. Banner takes his frustrations out on his wife and son.
- 30 Years Ago: The worst rumors about the Banner family are confirmed when Rebecca Banner calls 911 about a domestic disturbance. Police arrive on the scene to find Rebecca murdered, Brian blacked out in a drunken stupor, and 5-year-old Bruce hiding in his bedroom closet. Brian Banner is arrested, and Bruce is sent to live with his aunt. The young boy shows clear signs of severe physical and mental abuse.
- 29-20 Years Ago: Bruce Banner spends his childhood withdrawn, shy, and avoidant of his classmates. Through his school years, he has no real friends and no shortage of bullies. Despite this, Bruce excels in his classes and graduates early, earning summa cum laude at age 15.
- 19-10 Years Ago: Bruce receives a full-ride scholarship to Desert State Univeristy in Navapo, New Mexico. He displays an uncanny aptitude for nuclear physics, earning his Bachelor's degree at age 18. Bruce transfers to Penn State to earn his Master's degree by 20, then to CalTech for his doctorate, which he receives by age 25. All the while, Bruce gains a particular fascination with the unique properties of Gamma radiation, and forwards several theories about its potential applications.
- 9-5 Years Ago: Dr. Banner makes several proposals for new technologies to utilize Gamma radiation as a near-limitless energy source, and even proposes utilizing the mutagenic properties of its more extreme frequencies to restore damaged tissue. His ideas are considered radical by the scientific community, and Banner struggles to receive funding for his experiments.
- 5 Years Ago: Dr. Banner is contacted by General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross of the US Air Force about the development of a new fusion weapon. Banner refuses at first, but Ross eventually promises full funding for his other Gamma-related projects. In order to continue his philanthropic work, Dr. Banner agrees to assist in the development of the Gamma Bomb.
During this time, Banner meets General Ross's daughter, the free-spirited and empathetic Elizabeth “Betty” Ross. Betty takes an interest in the shy and quiet Bruce, and over time she wears down his psychological walls. Eventually, Bruce allows himself to open up to Betty, his first and only real friend.- 3 Years Ago: Dr. Banner's involvement with the Gamma Bomb project grows more and more, until he is promoted to Project Director. This comes at the extreme displeasure of the project's original Director, Dr. Emil Blonsky. Banner spends more time in direct contact with General Ross, despite the two developing an intense dislike for each other. This dislike deepens when Bruce and Betty's relationship grows beyond friendship, and the two begin dating.
- 2 Years Ago: Bruce proposes to Betty, who agrees. The two become engaged, which infuriates General Ross. General Ross and Dr
Banner's working relationship deteriorates, with the envious Blonsky insinuating himself as a go-between to keep the Gamma Bomb project on schedule. Bruce and Betty agree to marry after work on the Gamma Bomb is complete, and they can be together far away from her father's influence.- 1 Year Ago: The prototype of the Gamma Bomb is complete, and Dr. Banner oversees a test detonation in the New Mexico desert. Minutes before the scheduled detonation, Banner sees a civilian- a teenage boy- who had unwittingly wandered onto the testing ground undetected. Unable to stop the countdown, Bruce rushes onto the testing ground and rushes the teenager to shelter. Before he can get to shelter himself, the Gamma Bomb detonates, with Dr. Banner caught in the blast.
In the wake of the explosion, Dr. Banner's body is never found. He is believed dead, vaporized by the weapon he helped create.- 11 Months Ago: Massive seismic activity is detected deep in the Chihuahuan Desert, nowhere near any known fault lines. Later investigations of the epicenter reveal a crater consistent with that of a catastrophic impact.
- 9 Months Ago: A truck stop on I-40 between Phoenix and Tucson is utterly destroyed. Officially the cause is listed as an explosion of a petroleum tank, but the damage to the building and the surrounding vehicles far exceeds what would be expected from such an explosion. Eyewitnesses report seeing a “hulking monster” in the midst of the chaos.
- 4 Months Ago: Authorities in Bear Lake, Utah, arrest an unidentified homeless man for vagrancy. Hours later, the police station is destroyed, along with much of the town square and several buildings in a path leading into the open desert. Emergency responders are quickly joined by military elements, who overrun the town and label the incident as a terror attack from political extremists. Like the I-40 incident, however, some eyewitness reports describe a “hulking figure” amid the destruction. Latching onto the shared word to describe the supposed monster, conspiracy theorists label the entity “the Hulk.”
- 2 Months Ago: General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross mobilizes elements of the 307th Bomber Wing to conduct top-secret “training maneuvers” in the Colorado desert, days after a supposed Hulk sighting in the area. The details are strictly classified, but records show enough ammunition was routed to these “training maneuvers” to engage and destroy an entire armored division. Furthermore, one bomber is forced to make an emergency crash-landing after an unexpected collision. Damage to the craft suggests it was struck with a massive blunt object, as if a large boulder had been flung into the air at it.
- Today: Aerial drones patrolling the airspace over Wyoming have captured footage of a man wandering northeast toward Cheyenne. A man whose facial features the drone’s software has identified as a perfect match for the late Dr. Bruce Banner…

P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )I plan on using Bruce as a catalyst for character interactions, as various heroes can try to slug it out with the big guy or call on the scientific wits of Banner. The son of a prostitute and her pimp, a low-ranked thug in the Gunn Mafia that had for years held Bludhaven in its grip, the cards were all stacked against Jason when he was born in the late 1970s. Growing up in the heroine and crack-fueled 1980s, spent his childhood in the streets. He missed more school than he attended and if anyone in Social Services even noticed, they couldn't have been bothered to care. Doing drugs, selling drugs, stealing cars, or the tires off cars, he got dragged into all of it by the time he was barely more than ten. Not that he was a bad kid, or intended to be one. His lot in life wasn't presented to him as a choice. When he finally had a choice to make, it came at a cost. The year was 1989. The Black Cullens had been run out of Gotham by the Falcones, igniting a gang war in Bludhaven as the Cullens sought to battle the Gunns. Preferring white collar crime with a hands off approach, the Cullens funded and armed a motorcycle gang, the Street Demonz, to be their enforcers and serve as their proxies. The Street Demonz did a drive by on St. Bernadine's Cathedral and Catholic School just as mass was letting out with the goal of killing Faye Gunn. Caught in the shooting, Jason pulled a small child out of the way and wound up taking the bullet instead. He should have known that no good deed goes unpunished. He wound up in Hell. Disoriented, confused, and traumatized, the first thought that came to him was to try and find his mom. Except she wasn't there. Wanting answers to what had happened to her in the shooting, Jason was confronted by Mephisto, one of the Lords of Hell. Knowing the potential inside the boy, Mephisto made Jason an offer he couldn't refuse. His soul in exchange for the chance to save his mother. The devil's in the details, they say. When the fine print caught up with Jason, he had just burst out of the grave to find himself in the year 1999 -- 10 years after his murder. He found his mother in the midst of an overdose. She died in his arms as Jason was confronted by a clown that was laughing at him. That was just the start of Jason's struggles. Battling Violator, battling himself, battling a real bitch named Angela that had a literal axe to grind when it came to Hellspawns. Those battles came at a cost. Finding mentorship in a mysterious homeless man known only as "Cog", Jason learned to feed on the darkness and sins of others, becoming Bludhaven's reluctant and unlikely protector in the process. He had a low profile through the 2000s, with his most notable achievement being the takedown of Douglas Carmody following a series of child abductions and murders that rattled New Jersey. His profile raised, Jason came to the attention of the government, where a woman named Agatha Harkness showed up to ask for Jason's help with a zombie problem in Louisiana. The exact agency Harkness was working for was never quite clear to Jason, only that the task involved investigating threats that were more paranormal in nature. Solomon Grundy, Morgan le Fey and her son Mordred, Faust, and Klarion the Witch-Boy joined the expanding ranks of really bad shit that Jason found himself dealing with. Not all of them bad. He wound up with a few unlikely friends, including Frankenstein's monster and a fellow murder-victim-turned-ghost-hero named Deadman. Who knows, maybe there's a support group for their kind. Today, Jason continues to serve as Bludhaven's guardian angel, however fallen. Disappearing for days or weeks at a time depending on how much he needs to recover from the fights he chooses or that choose him, usually into a grave that he dug for himself at the site of a horrific lynching -- a Coffin of Solitude if you would. He'd probably just sleep for years if anyone would let him. Unfortunately, if its not bad enough the government has his number, the restless dead don't give him much peace. P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) Addressing first that this is a second sheet, I'm finding myself with a lot of downtime between Arthur posts and want to do something to fill it, while also being able to tell a very different story than I can with Arthur. Instead of modern Camelot epic, this is Detective Comics if written by McFarlane or Gaiman with more of a supernatural horror bent to the mysteries. The stories are smaller, blending two basic ideas -- Jason's personal story and the broader S.H.I.E.L.D. investigations story. Jason's personal story will be Bludhaven-centric, driven by the conflict with Ma Gunn, Tony Twist, the Black Cullens, and the Street Demonz and include characters such as Casper the Friendly Ghost and Jinx (filling in for Wendy the Good Witch). Billy Kincaid, Overtkill, and Violator (substituting for the Joker) round out the personal rogue's gallery. If Half permits, I'm sure Jason will pop up in Gotham at some point. The S.H.I.E.L.D. investigations story is for location hopping and allowing for connection with other characters, with a Brave and the Bold type of storytelling that will feature Jason alongside Agatha Harkness, Frankenstein, or Deadman. Note that Jason is not an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., but a consultant and isn't even certain what agency that he's consulting for. Mordred, Douglas Carmody (Bogeyman), and Angela are the planned antagonists for these stories. |
Now that I know we have our Bromance Love Triangle, I know what I need to do for a second sheet.Coordinated use of a Bat-Fam character and location with Half. Half continues to fail at saying no.
First rule of GMing. If Bounce starts a sentence with "I have an idea", your job is to say no.
Discussed S.H.I.E.L.D. with Hound. I'd originally been intending to go with establishing some kind of team in the lore, as Jason's been active as a hero for about 20 years total, with the last 10 spent operating beyond Bludhaven, but couldn't think of a good way of doing "Justice League Dark" without their first being a Justice League. When I saw the Captain America sheet, I figured I'd piggypack on SHIELD existing with the idea that Jason (who isn't actually certain what government agency he consults for) is with the equivalent of the X-Files unit, without getting into more acronyms.
I think I've carved out a sheet for an established character that avoids stepping on toes, but if I've made mention of something that needs to be changed, just let me know.S P A W N

Somebody's gotta kill Mephisto for doing that to a 12 year old kid.
But one thing. Winslow's just about to start his Toyman era thanks to Loki and I haven't decided yet if he'll go down the child murderer route yet.

I personally don't get the imgur ban. Like, they already banned all the porn from imgur, what's left to protect kids from?
Also, i'm working on my "Bailey Briggs is Captain Marvel" sheet now.

Aww, man... Lmfao. You beat me to it. I was considering applying for Mar-Vell and Carol as a duo if we’re allowed to have one more app, but it’s all good 😄👍🏻
Rules:
Applications: Submit a completed character sheet (see below). You can apply as a singular character or as a team, but can only have up to 2 active accepted applications at any time. Currently only hero characters will be accepted, however reimaginings of villains to be heroes/anti-heroes is allowed.
Characters: You may choose any Marvel or DC comic character within reason. Re-imaginings are welcome - as long as the core identity or theme of a canon mantle is recognizable. I will also allow characters from independent comics, for example Spawn, Hellboy, TMNT, etc, so long as they fit within the theme of the game. This means I am avoiding comics like Transformers, GI Joe, etc. Please contact me before applying as something like this for further clarification.
