So as we're nearing 100 posts, I just wanted to ask you all...
Whose your favourite reimagining of a character?
Who's story hook has you tangled?
What's been your favourite moment?
Who has the best sex scene?
Favorite reimaging has been @Bounce's take on Aquaman. I've been loving seeing Arthur as an average boy grapple with his powers and a royal destiny he didn't know about before and I look forward to where his story will go next.
2nd favorite has been Eel O'Brian. I do love a good Plastic Man.
The story hook that has me tangled...Well, I'm certainly excited for the stuff I'm cooking up for the future with J'onn and the rest of the Martians. But of others' storylines, there's so many...
Will @Roman's John Constantine actually save his sister? Will he really have his soul given to the demon in the process? What's going on the with the two Peter Parkers @Sep has set up? How are @King Kindred's Thor and Loki going to develop with Loki following Thor around as a cat? Will @King Kindred's Robin's Detective Club manage to not get themselves killed while Robin's off at Robinson Park? When are @Half Pint's Fantastic Four going to finally reunite and what is up with Alchemax? What the heck is up with @Lord Wraith's 'Kal-El' and where exactly is this all heading for the future? Is this version of Mercy a sister to the mysterious Cadmus Project's Hope and so is Mercy also a Cadmus Project experiment? And several others. I enjoy seeing everyone's new post as they come out and do my best to keep up.
My favorite moment was when Eel O'Brian saw the kid getting beat up, at first started to walk away, then decided to stop being a coward then went and saved the kid. That scene was incredible, well-paced and truly showed Eel deciding to turn a new leaf in life in a fantastic way that felt so perfect. And he's showed himself to continue to be a delight so I look forward to seeing more of his story.
...I'm going to refrain from the sex scene question. Wouldn't even be fair since the only real sex scenes have been two of Lord Wraith's posts so far (and seriously Ryan, what the heck are you doing?! Your ma and pa taught you better than that!) and a dream of Emma Frost's.
I don't have a BJJ tournament this weekend, but I have been inflicted with a lot of work related psychic damage this week so I'm unsure if I'll get a Frosty post up but I will try. Sorry that it's been a bit slow going so far.

Everyone moves at their own pace and/or relative to the story. I wouldn't sweat it; your posts have been stellar thus far, and we will eagerly anticipate the next one in the meantime.
I am also, tentatively (if not already claimed) working on a Wanda Maximoff sheet.
Heya, just wondering if this is still the case?
Asking because I was thinking of adapting a new X-men sheet using some different mutants to usual and my idea involved Wanda being 'the Jean' as Scott/Jean have already been referenced IC.
I know characters arent claimed until sheets are accepted but didn’t want to feel like I was sniping someone.
Also even if not I imagine relevant to you from an Emma perspective.
Also tagging @Mao Mao because this would very much be a Wanda and Pietro as Mags' children idea (although possibly without them being currently aware)

It's in progress. My concept is different to yours and I'm hoping to get it wrapped up soonish but see above. I've never played as bombastic as this in one of these rps, so, it's certainly something I will be submitting if time permits.
@Ezekiel@Stormyx. Depends on how old Wanda and Pietro are. If they are older (born in/before the 1980s), then we could talk about them being Magento's children. If they are younger, then I honestly don't know how to make that work unless one of you has a suggestion (assuming that you want them to be blood-related at all). I didn't really touch on them because I lowkey assumed someone was gonna write Wanda.
Also, a Magneto post is coming up. I was trying to find some work in the job market hellscape and failing to the point that I am taking a short break for it lol.

@Lord Wraith, @Ezekiel, and @Supermaxx all have reimagining's that I enjoy. That might also be my bias talking and the fact Max stole Wally.
Tbh...@Supermaxx's Punisher is really good. This is coming from a guy, who while likes Punisher comics, who dislikes Frank Castle besides very few instances.
Don't have one yet. Everything has been great. If anything, Id say Wraith and his Krypton posts. The lore building is remarkable.

I mean if they are younger, they could just not want to be around Magnus.

Yeah, he would be a boomer, so I get why.
Seriously, though, if either one of you doesn't want anything to do with Magento, I would be fine with it. I didn't bring them up in the first place to avoid denying someone the opportunity to write Wanda, given how popular she has become in the last few years, thanks to the MCU.

Think I jinxed myself. Post 13 is going to be a while longer yet; it's already longer than anticipated, and I don't think I have as much time to finish as I'd have liked today.

Five years ago, Wanda Maximoff was an Avenger; a hero and symbol of second chances. The world called her the Scarlet Witch, writer and rewriter of reality and destiny. She fought alongside gods and soldiers and built a life from the chaos and ruin of her past and for a time it was good. She had a home. She had her children. Two bright souls that were born of hope and magic and the proof that love could outwit and defeat loss.
And then one day, her children were simply gone.
This grief hollowed her. It was a level of pain that had before been unknown, it tore and shredded her apart until all she could do was search and scramble and claw at the very seams of reality for answers until she found them bound in the Darkhold. This sentient grimoire whispered to her of power and absolution, and finally, sang songs of the promise of reunion. It became her closest companion and she held the book until it held her, each page staining her heart darker until even her dreams bled in ink, the last spell she ever spoke should have opened the door to her children, and instead, it tore a hole through creation itself.
Wanda was devoured by the wound and the rip consumed her reality and tore her from the life she knew. The life she had built. Through blinding and holy light and hellish silence; everything she’d ever been, all that she would be she was dragged through reality and unreality. Finally, she landed beneath a discordant broken sky and above the jaws of skyscrapers built like teeth. Gotham. This was her purgatory, the liminal space between worlds, her suspended existence. The holding place for the weakened Scarlet Witch.
Stripped of the Darkhold, and half of her power having been consumed by the spell itself and her fall through realities, Wanda had to learn to be again. With what little she could do, she set up in Old Gotham as a fortune teller selling charms, hexes, all the while, shrinking herself to figure out her surroundings. Faces she once knew existed here, but never as she remembered them. They were all merely reflections now warped by this world’s logic.
The longer that Wanda remains in Gotham the more the remaining memories of her old life fade. The only memory that holds complete clarity is the weight of her children in her arms and the cacophonous silence that followed their loss. The unending pain of a hole in her heart, the complete absence of the love that was enough to outwit loss. The scream that follows her and rings through her ears even now. It is all that keeps her going.
The pulse of her old sin still lives on and the echo of the Darkhold continues to call for her from this reality’s soil and still she hunts for it relentlessly, slipping between cults and cabals, trading truths for rumours. Some nights, the fog of Gotham turns red and reality bends to her grief; other nights she is simply a tired woman reading tarot and palms.
Her powers burn differently here in fractured and raw states. Tempered with regret, she pulls and bends at probability in whispers and reshapes fates with a glance. The criminals of Gotham call her the Red Widow but those who have met her up close and survived her, see something holier and far more human. A mother who is lost between worlds, who refuses to give up.
The Darkhold lies somewhere in her grim new world, perhaps bound to the same evils that keep Gotham alive, and despite swearing she would never open a door again, every night she dreams of the one that leads home.

I want to write Wanda because I’ve never taken such a big character into a roleplay, and I feel like I can do her the justice that Sam Raimi could not (She’s not a monster, she’s a mother, guys). (To be fair that bar is in hell, actually.)
My favourite Marvel character, for many reasons, in my hands. I’m a super collaborative writer and I’m hoping to bring her into many plots. The reason for setting her up in Gotham is to have her break free of an emotional and moral limbo and redeem herself and find salvation, and eventually, a way back to her children. Wanda, as “Red Widow” must find her way through this purgatory and reclaim her power and title through heroism.

This brings our total of alternate universe interlopers upto 3.
Gonna end up with Secret Wars before Civil War at this rate 😂
