From her aggressive and unfortunate past, Xaih originally blossomed into the expected: brash, aggressive, headstrong, and a bit too bold. Through her years away from her family and her home, and combined with her years of training, she began to follow a new path, one she was sure to be unobtainable. Down this road, she found her center. Outside of combat, she would no longer be brash and bold, but reserved. During combat, she would be aggressive, but critical. In the company of friends and her sister, however, she is calm, friendly, and quite talkative. While she has changed in many ways, she never forgot the reason for these changes and what she did.

Xaih has only her outfit--no weapons or gear. Her outfit consists of leather arm guards that can take a small amount of damage, leather boots for trekking long distances, a light blue sleeveless shirt and dark gray padded, formfitting pants.

Abilities:
Xaih has natural command over the element of water, a gift from her father. She is restricted, as she cannot conjure water out of nothing, but she has a strong manipulation over it to where she can take the water from nearby plants. She can also turn water into ice and use spikes as a make-shift weapon for both close- and long-ranged attacks or defenses.

Xaih has little experience with hand-to-hand combat, but she is a great acrobat. Due to her average size and slightly smaller build, she relies on long-range attacks and her acrobatic skills to escape sticky situations.

Experience level: Low-mid tier.

Having grown up in poverty Azerus holds few possessions dear to him. Through his years and adventures he has managed to pick up a few things though. He has the clothes on his back, a few fine leather armaments, bracers and greaves gifted to him, a bed roll he calls home, some simple yet cleverly modified shuriken, two defensive sai's and his kusarigama, an extension of himself named Iju.
  • Kusarigama:
    Made of Meteoric iron( variously called sky iron, thunderbolt iron, star iron, and so on) The typical "miraculous" meteoric iron is a jet-black metal that is much stronger than regular iron and often has magical properties as well.

    Vallen was naturally drawn to this weapon and everything it's teaching encompasses. The flowing motions, dedicated skill, surprising versatility. His skill with it was well recognised and considered on the verge of magical. That was before he even learnt how to manipulate air.
    A mundane weapon would just not suit his level of skill, after much research Vallen learnt of the mythical material that he required and took off after it.
    It was his first true adventure. In the end the results were fruitful.

    It is now an extension of his body and power, almost a living creature of its own. The magical material now lets his martial style go hand in hand with his magic. Vallen has since formed a perfect unison between them making him able to maximise the strengths and benefits of each.

    The heavy chamber at the end holds a secrete concoction of sharp metallic dust coated in an energy and life draining ingestion poison. It takes a deliberate and powerful blow to the right spot to open it up. Due to the special material Vallen can imbue his weapon with an air elemental spirit that wraps the chain in a small swirling vortex of air and allows it to move unnaturally and even become magically retractable/stretching.
  • Sai: x2
    Gifted to him by Elven royalty these intricately detailed and designed mixed metal weapons are light to wield and crafted to be efficient against most hardy and supernatural creatures. They posses the properties of silver, cold iron and more.
  • Helicopter Shuriken:
    Cleverly designed specifically for Vallen these fly well and are easy to control in the air.
  • Hooded sturdy leather vest:
    Fashioned to the style of the monks robes at his monastery of training it has since been modified and strengthened with sturdy yet flexible leather.
  • Bracers of defence:
    Gifts from his good friend and powerful Mage, Archibald, these steel plated pieces of armour have been enchanted with a moderate durability and faint self repairing spell.
  • Greaves of speed:
    Gifts from his good friend and powerful Mage, Archibald, these steel plated pieces of armour have been enchanted with a moderate momentum and faint reflex enhancement.
  • Magic pouch:
    It's not really magic, that's just its name. Just a normal pouch on his side that stores things.


Magic: Azerus's years at the monastery paid off when he began to learn Air magic.
In tune with the seemingly erratic nature of the wind Azerus not only listens to the tales it shares but speaks back, manipulating its very nature to obey his will. While it can be weaponised he is more comfortable in calling it to his aid or defence.
  • Burst:Bursts encompasses most of Vallens ability. It can range from a short bursts thrown from a punch to a powerful uproar 30ft away. It is strongest and most precise when coming directly from his body. It can be thrown off any movement or guided by the faintest motion.
    Size, speed and distance all vary depending on the purpose.
    A close range short sharp burst might act better as a secret punch while a wide heavy push would be a more distracting nuisance.
    The starting point doesn't have to be himself, it can be anywhere around him even behind his opponent. Vallen can command the air around him up to 50 ft. A bit further to less effect.
  • Gusts: Larger and heavier than a burst a gust is more powerful but requires more concentration and movement from Vallen and being a larger surface area often in itself is less vicious. Once started a gust takes on its own momentum and is easier to grow and maintain. It acts like a flood of water powerfully pushing in the given direction and guided by Vallen. It is known to prevent projectiles, trip and topple opponents, even pin down the heavily armoured.
  • Pressurise: More technical than just guiding or creating wind Vallen forces the air to fold in on itself creating tight patterns of concentrated fast flowing air. This acts and gives an effect of it being near solid.
    While serving a multitude of purposes he has trained his reflexes to be able to throw it up as a quick defence.
    The violent nature of the ever moving air within the shield shaped creation often destroys projectiles that try to pass through or injures a hand that touches it.
    Due to the complexity he often doesn't hold one for long. If in contact with himself he can move it with ease but otherwise it is of some difficulty and only slowly.
  • Vacuum: The most technical of all his abilities is the separation of air to create negative pressure or a vacuum. Instead of pushing this is used as a powerful way to pull things.
  • Air spirits: Vallen can manifest an air element the size of a medium dog only much longer. He controls it with his thoughts commanding it to fly around and disrupt his opponent. While not deadly on its own it can pick up debris in its body and use it to cut and stab. It's near impervious to damage as it is purely air but is susceptible to anything that would disrupt and disperse a large body of air. Once gone Vallen must wait some time before calling a new one.


Abilities:
  • Tremor sense: In tune to the movements of the air around him Vallen can sense movements that he can not see.
  • Shimmer: Vallen can create visual deception in the air surrounding him. Like the heat ripples off a hot surface only much more complicated and controlled.
    He can not hide his movement but blur it of definition and detail.
  • Weight adjustment: To a limit of double or half, Vallen has the unique magical ability to alter the weight of an item he touches. To utilise it to its full effect he needs to touch it for a while. Once he has let go it slowly reverts to its original weight and density. This is mostly used on items in Vallens possession to add weight to a heavy strike or lighten his attire to prevent fatigue or move easier.


Fighting Style: Vallen is agile, fast and unpredictable.
Well disciplined and trained he often uses his opponents momentum and weight against them. Fighting mercilessly to win his cunning mind is just as much a weapon as any other he carries.

He favours unarmed combat second to only his personalised Kusarigama. It channels his magic and has become an extension of himself.
He is an expert at disarming, tripping and distracting.

Personality: Everybody's got their stories, Dorian just isn't one who particularly cares to hear them. He'd rather just get straight to the point: he's there to fight and to win, plain and simple, and doesn't want to waste time trying to get to know his opponents beyond learning their combat style and skill sets. Combined with his blunt personality, narcisstic attitude, and the shit-eating grin usually on his face, he could easily be labeled an asshole and is well aware of that fact, and in a way embraces it. Yet he isn't actively antagonistic towards others, as he doesn't like picking fights due to loathing drama and pettiness. Nonetheless, he's a fun guy if the mood's right, and is pleasant enough if you can get past his abrasive vocabulary.

Appearance:


Equipment: Weapons- His main weapon for close encounters is the rather deadly and large dagger that he keeps at his side at all times. He also has a stock of multiple throwing knives for when he needs to deliver ranged attacks, or to keep up the pressure on a cautious or quick enemy. All of his blades are coated with a poison that slowly disables the victim's nervous system and motor skills over time.
Armor- Standard leather armor. It gives him some protection and freedom of movement, but it won't be stopping any particularly lethal blows. Yet, it might just save his life if it comes down to it.
Tools- He carries a large grab-bag filled with many different types of seeds. Once given an opportunity to do so, his strategy involves tossing out as many of the seeds as he can to spread across the battlefield, giving him even more plantlife to use in his arsenal.

Magic: Nature- Dorian's prowess with nature magic allows him to control all plantlife however he wants. His gift with it allows him to conduct extreme and rapid growth of any plants within his range, giving him some versatility in what he can do depending on the situation. He can release poisonous powder from flowers, bring about vines to whip and restrain an enemy, unearth roots to trip up and trap targets, raise trees within seconds to use as a shield or barrier; things of that sort of nature.

Animals- Dorian also has a bit of Animal-based magic at his disposal. With it, he can form mental connections with animals, which he uses as a utility skill and in combat. He can give animals commands without having to even say a word, and through his connection with them he can also receive information from them as well. His pet wolf, Timber, is one of his most well-trained animals, and is one that is partcularly useful to him. Timber can be used to scout ahead due to her enhanced senses, using both her sense of smell and supreme hearing to snoop out where an enemy is hiding and then mentally relaying this information to Dorian. She also is deadly if allowed to attack, but Dorian tends to keep her out of harm's way and use her solely for support unless he needs a second offensive unit on his side.

Abilities: Besides his magical abilities, he's actually rather lackluster when compared to many of the other fighters. He is a capable fighter of course and plenty agile, but his reliance on his magic has caused him to be only standard at best and not pick up too many other skills. At best, you could say that he's good at planning ahead in combat, but the same could be said for everyone else.

Experience level: Low-mid. I've been in plenty of RPs where combat was involved, but it was always PVE. I've never actually done much PVP with other writers, and what I have done is usually rather short scenes and never anything complex like what I've in the Arena section.

Personality:
Sutemasu has an explosive personality - he's easily rattled and will charge into battle seemingly convinced he'll come out unscathed. The many scars on his body are a reminder that this is not always true, but the fact that he is alive despite his nature seems to prove a point regardless. For this reason he might be easily convinced into a ruthless assault, lacking the clear mind and vision his opponents might have. This is balanced out with sheer power and perseverance. He will continue where others would fall down and die - this is not something purely physical, it's also something in his personality. A fighter will give up once the pain is too much, a warrior will continue to fight against the odds so that he may die fighting. It is this philosophy that causes Sutemasu to fight and it's this philosophy that gives him youth. After all, what greater opponent is there other than time?

Equipment:
The man wears a long skirt of sorts with enough width to allow him to move in whatever way he wants. And yes he wears underwear underneath, wishing to spare his opponents the shame of having to look at his privates. Other than that he wears nothing else. No better weapon exists other than the weapon given to man by nature, their body.

Abilities:
Overbearing Attack:
Though the overbearing attack is less of an ability and more of a style, it is worthwhile mentioning here for a lack of better placement. Though Sutemasu lacks any ability, magical or otherwise, his extreme physique are more than capable of balancing this. His body is hardened and his muscles are strong, and for an old man he is remarkably quick and flexible. He's too old to fight! some might say, and in response he'll flex his muscles and call you a whippersnapper. His overbearing attack is purely his style of attacking - determined to destroy the enemy and beat them to a pulp, his fists and arms are like cannons that fire round after round.

tl;dr he is very strong, has a large stamina pool and is very nimble, to counteract the fact that he's got no real abilities. Dude is basically the living embodiment of 'while you were studying your magic, I was lifting weights and doing cardio.' Of course he won't be hopping around dodging every attack. He's a human after all.

Will to Power:
Sutemasu has the will to power - he will keep going no matter what. Break an arm? Yeah it hurts. He'll just use his other arm to beat you to a pulp. Somehow he is capable of mentally blocking out the pain of such things, so that even if you throw a gigantic rock at him, he'll tank the hit like a champ, cough a bit and throw up some blood before attacking you again. He's not really done until he's dead, so to speak. Of course, he still takes damage. He just doesn't really feel it.

Menacing Presence:
His sheer physique and impressive stature are more than enough to give any mere thug reason to pause, and consider turning away from this old man to pick a more opportune target. So, for his opponents, perhaps this will have a psychological effect on them, causing hesitation or no. Perhaps not. That really is up to them and their mental fortitude.

Unwavering Chargé:
Once Sutemasu sets out to attack you there is very little you can do to stop him. And given his nimble and aggressive nature, you better be equally as swift. He'll come in and won't stop coming until he's had enough. And Sutemasu, Sutemasu never has enough.
