Volky had stopped following her after 2 minutes of staring right at her, giving her the chills of her being watched, then, done with her, he floated upwards and became visible for a split second, letting her see, then disappearing, with his cold laugh in the air. He had token a huge risk for that, having the possibility of the humans to see, but if it works, he would have a feast! His face was serious, then floating back toward the basement, opening the door with a creak, hoping to draw some attention.

T.J. lazily reached across and grabbed a key from the table. "I'll take this one then, unless anyone has any Objections. As I said before, unless there is anything else people wish to discuss, I'm going to go unpack, maybe at a less ungodly hour we all sit down and get to know one another, huh?”

He looked at the tag, Attic on the right huh? Well, perhaps Fate knew what she was doing after all. The attic would provide him ample ability to be awake at all hours and not overwhelmingly disturb too many people, the noisome-to-some smells of old take-out food mixing with dirty laundry and various other, less-wholesome substances would make its way upward and out of the house, instead of into other rooms, or elsewhere. His head whipped around as he heard the door creak, and thought that he saw something...Must've been nothing though...

Ravus lit a new cigarette. Almost immediately after taking a drag, his nerves settled. He leaned forward, resting elbows over the table, his gaze to the door that lead outside. He memorized every square inch of the property. There wasn’t much else to do around here. The monotony was dull, but it was a safe kind of dullness. They existed on this plain as long as they were bound to something. And that something wasn’t corrupted.

No one had figured out another way around it. Not yet at least. Maybe it was a silly notion to think there could be another option, but there had to be, right?

While Di was looking into it and they had some ideas, taking that extra step was the problem. Finding someone trustworthy to do the spell and not use them for stupid crap. Where was he going to find someone trustworthy? Aside from the new tenants here, too early to tell.

He sighed and closed his eyes.

A presence drew close and he glanced up. Some kid. What did he want?

Of course, this kid had Di’s influence all over him. Joe asked something, even went as far as extending his hand out, oh, right, he didn’t know. That was the point. Yet…

At Di’s approach, Ravus averted his gaze, flicked ashes, exhaled smoke. So she was doing this with him? Just like that? For the most part the kid was taking it pretty well for a mortal. Di’s words amused him. She acted like she was calling the shots when he’d wanted to “play” human from the get go. Since when did he care about humans or her wanting to impress one? And did she really just try to use Rueni to threaten him?

He glared at her. What a joke.

But another aura pulled his attention from her, Marie’s. Damn. Her too? She was practically begging him to play nice? Hey may be a "good" demon, but he wasn't a nice one.

“Ravus.” He said after what felt like ages. “And yeah, any more questions?” His tone carried an edge of irritation. It wasn’t the kid’s fault. But having Di practically breathing down his neck would piss anyone off. He didn’t give a rat’s ass what the boy did, nor care of his own impressions. So why did it really matter how Ravus acted? He did whatever the hell he wanted. He was a demon, not even bound to humans or their laws.

”Labeled keys, nice.” Freya happily took up the offered key and tucked it into her jacket pocket. ”Thanks!” She then continued sipping at her tea and fully taking in the atmosphere. This was gonna be home for awhile, she wanted to relish in it. She came to pause, admiring the purple orchids. She reached out and gently ran a finger over the delicate petal before remembering and withdrew her hand. The urge to make her own garden grew the more time she spent here, in this space so full of beauty. She would have to ask soon, then she could go to the market after settling into her room and get started.

I slowly pulled my hand back, realizing he had no intention of shaking my hand. I didn't take it personally, I mean, he didn't seem that cheery in the first place. Maybe he just needs a little time before he opens up. I could understand that. I... didn't really like being around others that much either. I was a bit disappointed since I wouldn't be able to gauge his body temperature, but given that he seemed to have been talked to by Di, bare minimum he was aware of their existence. If I was not crazy, that is.

I quickly glanced over at the keys on the table and snagged the basement key. I knew that it was the only room on that floor, aside from the shower room. I'd prefer the solitude. Also, what with these new developments, it might be best that people don't hear me talking to myself, I doubt that an old house like this had the best insulation or sound proofing...

I looked back up at Ravus. "U-Uh... well it's nice to meet you, Mr. Ravus." I said, pulling up a seat and sitting down across from him. "So, is there anything that I should know about living here?" I asked, tilting my head.

Volky had stayed in the basement, for what felt like hours, his boredom grew as his face fell, he didn't know what to do. Volk couldnt play his music, as that will attract humans. So finally, he thought of a great idea, or at least, what he thought was one.

He was smirking as he floated up towards the fridge, hoping to find something in the fridge left by the old tenet's. " This should probably work!" He said quietly.

After 5 minutes of hard work, he laughed his signature cold laugh and left, much satisfied. There, on the wall is writing which at first looks like blood, but is strawberry jam, I WILL STEAL ALL YOUR COOKIES!

Noticing the key he got, she quickly went up to him and sighed. "Looks like you'll deal with the true menace of our deranged little family. I'll visit, but just remember to carry a cross or something. I don't want to lose another human friend to that bastard." and she stuck her head through the floor. "You here me asshole? Don't torment him! He's my human!
Or I swear on all that is unholy and foul I'll twist your insides and make you squeal like a pig!"
She then noticed the writing in jam on the wall. "Volky, you do know they're not children right? And I'm pretty sure they won't be scared, they'll probably laugh their asses off." and she completely shifted down and nudged him. "You going soft. I like it." and she bear hugged him before floating off.

After an hourbhas went by he wanted to play some music, quiet and slow music, so played something from the 1920's.

Marie

Marie nodded to herself, happy that the tenants were picking rooms. Soon she could retreat to her herbs; away from all the commotion. " Oh no, feel free to take yourself upstairs sweetie!" she said to T.J. forcing her best smile; she felt tired and drained just from inviting them in.
Looking down the hall she noticed that the 2 other boys hadn't made their room selection yet. Did they know something was wrong with the house? Were they already about to flee?
She bit her lip nervously and called out, " Are you two alright? " .
Scanning over the room to keep her nerves at bay, her eyes fell onto Ravus and Joe. Grumbling slightly at Ravus's manner towards Joe, she took another long swig off her tea, finishing it off. She needed another to distract her until she could abscond, so she poured out another cup and began heaping in more sugar.

T.J. replied gratefully "Thanks Marie, you're the best" then he turned to the others in attendance and showed them the label on his key "If any of you need me, I'll probably be unconscious for the next few hours after that" he quickly grabbed a sheet of paper and wrote something down on it "That's my number, shoot me a text and we'll do lunch at Chang's or something"

The formalities over with, T.J. went to grab his things, taking one last look outside as he did, he just couldn't shake the feeling that something was going on here under the surface. He shook himself again and laughed at the thought, too many horror stories in pursuit of his Master's had left their mark on him apparently. But the feelings returned as he passed the other rooms, and as he entered his, and as he lay, awake, staring up at the ceiling.

"Home sweet home" He said, dreading the unpacking of his things.

@Beeve Di returned upstairs and saw Marrie putting a lot of sugar in another cup of tea. She walked over and stopped Marie. "I think that's enough sugar Missy. You don't want to get sick, do you?" she said with nurturing authority. She let go and phased through the counter, stopping in front of Marie. She crossed her arms and looked at her worriedly. "I know it's your stress food, but you should really control yourself. This reminds me a lot of when you were younger, no taller than my waist. You would try sneak a cookie and I would stop you right when you attempted to. The look on your face was so cute!" she said reminiscing. She then came back to earth and started at Marrie with a sad smile. "Then when the proper time for deserts came around and I would sneak you an extra one. Especially on a bad day." she said and grabbed the sugar. "Marie, please at least attempt to control yourself. I know you are mature in the eyes off humans and see us as children,
but your like a little sister to me. I've always watched out for you. Please remember that next time you decide to get a sugar high."
she said with worry on her face.
