"I have been trying to longer than anyone."

——————————————————
Their room in the hotel

As Hervor looked down at her feisty master she could not help but smile, she had gone through the same feeling before, it is completely normal to be that agitated at Tyrfing. Hervor would know.

"I have been trying to longer than anyone master." She replied, still cracking the smile since it did not concern her anymore, she stopped questioning Tyrfing long ago since she really did not care what Tyrfing did as long as it got done what she wanted. She shrugged and looked over at Thaleia and nodded at her.

"I'll take up that offer, lead the way." said Hervor, moving to Thaleia's side and wrapping her arm around her shoulder, "Show me the place then! I would like to know more about how hotels here are." She then basically started pushing Thaleia with her out the door to give Christine the space she needed as quick as possible. Hervor knows what frustration is like, as a raider she has had her ups and downs which meant frustration was normal.

Whatever, at least Thaleia is significantly more pleasant to be around with.

Caster of Red - Skuld

There was a slight pause in Caster's movements before she ever so gently held her hands out. "I would very much like that candy."

Upon either receiving here chocolate or being pranked in some fashion, Caster would listen carefully to her Master's words, her body almost corpse-like in its stillness as she awaited his words to finish. It felt a bit awkward to be corrected on the phrasing of her question...but her Master seemed to be an eccentric person regardless. Just one of his quirks, she supposed, to rephrase the words of others to their true meaning. ...Or maybe she just sounded foolish, asking such a question in this bloody ritual. A simple: "I see," was what Caster offered to her Master, before her eyes opened slowly. They were a sight to behold, an unnatural gold that shone so deeply that she seemed to lack pupils. Jacob could presume that she was blind in some capacity given the slight bit of cloudiness to her eyes, but whatever sense she lacked she made up for with her Magecraft.

"Then, my Master, I will slay in your name and your name alone. Your will shall be my own, and, in time, I shall deliver you the grail. I confess, I would not be a powerful servant were it not for the nature of this war," Caster said, approaching a nearby window and gently placing her hand upon the glass panes. "Time, and cadavers are all that I need. A thousand dead for one wish. Whether that is for you, or another, it doesn't matter to me. So long as I remain in this world, I will reach for the grail for your sake," Skuld said, before smiling widely, looking at something that existed only in her mind outside of the window. "Oh, and an additional thought to spare you, Master: Command Spells for my obedience will not be necessary. You giving me free reign to gather the dead is all I could ever want. My wish is my Noble Phantasm...and with it, your's will be delivered."

Just as quickly as her smile came, it would slowly dip off of Caster's face, resuming her neutral expression. "Is there anything in particular you wish to discuss aside from that matter, my Master?"

"I am the Lancer Class Servant. Are you my Master?"

Totally Not-Troy Blue Team Base -> Çanakkale

@Sylph de Graaf @Cu Chulainn

The Lancer Class were a class of Heroes that excel in the use of polearms, most notably the spear or the lance. It is one of the three Knight Classes that make them a formidable enemy. Even if they don't have the strength or endurance, they boast their speed, speed that could compete with the likes of the Assassin Class... however... they are known to have the worst Luck.

Lancer of Blue here is not your typical Lancer Class Servant. A young, blooming girl with a smile so innocent, heartwarming and pure that one would wonder why she was summoned to re-enact a war meant for gruesome men to do battle all to save a damsel in distress? Could it be? Is Lancer of Blue the damsel that these people need rescuing? Hardly. Her beauty is comparable to most Heroic Spirits she doesn't hold a candle to Helen at all, but no, she doesn't think that none of her teammates do either. She was summoned to fight and protect this land for some unknown reason. Will she question it? She's part of a contract that lasts the duration of the War, it's no secret that at some point she will perish...

...but not before taking some people with her...

Greeted into this new World by her Master, Trinidad, acquainting herself with her new home and exploring the city which the War takes place. This isn't Lancer of Blue's instinct to be strategic but rather to explore what happened in the years since her horrible, painful, tragic death.

She'd later find herself near the roadside just outside of the city, walking with a big smile on her face. "The town is so vibrant, colorful and wonderful! To think there are moving cars in the future! I wonder what else is in store for me~?" The cheers of a radiant flower found herself waiting by the roadside, taking in the air and waving at cars passing by, perhaps if something of interest took hold of her like a certain Ruler driving into town... then perhaps she'd like to have a talk with them and show her Master a new friend.

It's also totally not the owl that was flying overhead, perching on the branch from time to time to see if anyone "special" is coming to play with her.

Master of Red - Rumi Fujou

Rumi returned Assassin's smile as she made her offer. A coffee shop, hmm? Well, she supposed even Servants could tire of simply waiting and preparing all the time. Plus, it would be good to get a sense of what her Servant could really do firsthand. Yes, she supposed there were certainly risks involved with leaving their base for a simple cappuccino, but the positives were clear as well.

Certainly, they were taking a risk of exposing themselves, but so was any Servant or Master of the Blue team that came gunning for them, let alone knew who they were already. So long as Assassin employed discretion, (which would be insane if she didn't, considering her class) there would be little chance of discovery. And it wouldn't quite do to anger or disappoint her own Servant. Rumi only had three Command Seals, after all, and she needed to sleep some time. Best to keep herself in the literal stealthy killer's good graces. That, and there was one other pressing reason why she was inclined to accepted Hanzo's offer...

"But of course. The coffee the hotel provides us is terrible. I despise instant brews. Lead the way, Assassin."

_____________________________________________________

Rider of Red - Cao Cao

Cao Cao turned as he was spoken to, raising an eye at his newfound companion. Berserker, was it? One of those..."Christians" at that, if his murmurings about God were to tell. What an odd belief system, but apparently it and those related to it comprised of the majority of world religion. How curious.

"Yes," He replied finally, nodding to the long-haired man. "There is always a risk of looking down from above, exposing yourself to all the world." Rider chuckled briefly. "Were I alive, I'd likely feel the need to relieve myself right over the edge, simply to amuse myself. Doing so atop cliffs always was good for a cheap laugh back in the day."

The idea of allying himself with an utter madman as the Berserker class dictated left a sour taste in Cao Cao's mouth, but Berserker seemed more or less...alright without the influence of Mad Enhancement. Rough around the edges and wild, certainly, but some of his greatest generals during his lifetime had been that way. Xu Chu, Dian Wei...

A frown passed briefly across Cao Cao's face before disappearing just as quickly as it came. There were more important matters at hand than wallowing over his mistakes. Such as understanding those he would fight alongside better. He was no unchallenged leader of this coalition. Not yet, at least. But he would play his part for now. Until his worth and suitability was recognized by the others.

"Tell me, Berserker." Rider finally spoke, turning to his fellow Servant. "What makes you a madman? Devotion to your God? The Grail imparted knowledge of your...Christianity, but I find that knowing is not the same as understanding. Your faith never reached my land during my lifetime, but from what I have gleaned, your heavens disapprove of violence and murder, yes? Why join this war?"

Christine Herphae & Thaleia
Their room in the hotel/hotel hallway

Christina fixed Hervor with a glare for a few moments before letting out a shout of frustration and going over to a wall, banging her head against it once. After that, she just settled back into her general ranting and raving. The wall came out worse than her head, if the dent said anything about it. Thaleia just let out a small sigh at the sight. She was going to have to fix that later. Quirking an eyebrow at Hervor, she let out a little eep as that beefy arm wrapped around her shoulder. There was a bit of a wide eyed look to her, and if she could blush, she would be blushing. "A-Ah, um, well... I-I'll be happy to show you around, Saber!"

Her eyes darted to the door and she realized she had forgotten to do something! Her hands came together, her fingers touching a small band of gold on one of her rings. She twisted it about her fingers three times in rapid succession, a small phrase escaping her metallic lips. Hervor could likely feel a small flow of mana surround Thaleia, as her form wavered for a bit. For Hervor, it was easy to see through the illusion, but if she tried not to, she'd find Thaleia looking... like a regular human. Where once was a woman of the purest metals, now stood a short woman. Hair the same style as before, simply actual blond hair, blue eyed, with a long sleeved white blouse and a sunny yellow skirt. Glancing up at Hervor, she gave a nervous laugh as they exited the room. "N-Not supposed to head out without the illusion... N-Normal people would f-freak if they saw me."

Glancing both ways down the hall, she motioned for her to follow as she started walking towards the elevators. Honestly, now that she actually had to do it, she had... no idea where to start! Great, just great. Literally guiding a legendary hero out of myth, and she had no idea where to start. Maybe... food! Food is always nice. "S-Soooo... W-Wanna get some food first Saber? I-It'll take us through a fair b-bit of the hotel, and y-you can see what modern food is like."

Jacob Arling, Master of Red, Red Faction Base

Jacob stopped at the closed door with a hum, palming at his chin with one gloved hand, while his other reached out and grasped the cane that leaned against the wall.

"Truthfully Caster, I feel the only thing we can talk about is the direction we want this War to go, as well as the direction it is most likely to go. As it stands, this Alliance of Red and the opposing Alliance of Blue are temporary constructs at best, they won't last once enough of the enemy has been eliminated", despite his words the redheaded Master continued to hold his carefree demeanor, A soft smile on his face and his eyes hidden by fiery locks, idly spinning his cane like a top.

" While I truly mean you no offence, the fact remains that in a head-on conflict with any Servants save the Assassin's, the Caster of Blue, and possibly our Berserker, you and I are not in good standing to come out of this War with the Grail ourselves. We need information, and though we can get such insights into our faction with little trouble, the Blue Faction will be far more tricky", here he paused and clicked his tongue. From behind the bookshelves the sound of scurrying erupted and with a soft squeak a small gray squirrel appeared, running across the room and up the old Magus' body to rest comfortably on his shoulder.

"I've heard talk of an effort to scout the holdings of the Blue, and while my darling Squirrels are all that's needed back home, I fear they'd be rather obvious here in old Troy. So I would hope, without disrespect O Magus from the Age of Gods, that you may possess a solution to these troubles? I obviously have no intention of sending you out there in person, but some spells of surveillance or familiars of your own could definitely solve the issue I think".

West Çanakkale, Mansion's Courtyard

"You'll find that our compatriots are a colorful bunch," Farren told the First Spider. "The other servants have all been summoned by now I suspect. I'm not very familiar with all of them, but they're just the same: colorful."

The magic circle he'd called Caster from was smudged soon after she appeared, and now as his familiars made their way back into the cozy corners of the mansion's courtyard their tiny little bodies cleaned up what remained of it as they passed by. They gave Caster a respectfully berth as they went past. Farren sparred them only a brief glance. Now, it wasn't that he didn't trust his servant - she seemed dangerous and spontaneous, yes, but he didn't fear her - but the influence she exerted even passively on his spiders had Farren making a mental note to strengthen his own connection to them. Losing control over them could be a liability, though he didn't think it would be possible for anyone besides Caster to interfere with said control. Still, better safe than sorry.

Farren stepped to one side and gestured for Caster to go ahead of them, nodding his head toward the courtyard's exit. "I'll fill you in on a few things now, and we can go over the rest a little later. The master of the house is Bahadir. His goal is... well, I'll count that in as 'the rest.' But his dreams are within reach. He's got his hands on a powerful device. It's the reason he gathered us all here. I'm sure he'll call a team meeting sooner or later. Now, as for the manor itself - "

It was at that time that someone joined them in the courtyard. Another servant by chance.

"Ah, an ally appears. That is... Saber, I believe."

Farren waved to get the woman's attention, beckoning her over. "Hello, Saber. Please, allow me to introduce a new addition to our team. The lovely spider, the Caster class servant."

West Çanakkale, Mansion, Blenda's Room

"It doesn't matter."

Berserker stood with his back to Blenda, facing the room's lone window though his eyes were closed. His arms were folded in front of his chest, and his shoulders rose and fell in steady rhythm. He'd been quiet for a majority of the time since he'd been summoned, relaying only the important things to his master: his strengths which were few, his weaknesses which were many, and his true name.

If he came off as cold to his master, well, that wasn't really his concern.

He could tell she was questioning how she ended up with such a servant anyway. Berserker too wondered why he was even summoned at all. Either way, he was a servant and Blenda was his master. He'd follow her order. No matter the reason he ended up in this circumstance, he was privately glad for it. The blue team's goal was intriguing, enough to spark an ember of hope in Berserker's heart. Rather than stamp it out, he carefully protected the dim light. He'd let it become his strength when the time came.

"..." After a few moments Berserker's eyes slipped open. Turquoise reflected in the glass and he looked at the mirrored image of his master. The boy moved away from the window and approached Blenda, barely reaching her height even while seated. Despite his small stature, Berserker gave off the air of a King - no, something greater than a King.

...but his expression was pinched, his mouth pressed into a thin line as though he were fighting off sheepishness.

"What I mean is, both have their merits."

Blenda Eldberg

Blenda stares into Berserker's eyes for a moment, only a small quirk of her lips hiding her amusement at just how short the pharaoh was. Truly, there was quite an irony in someone who spend her youth breaking into tombs and sealed places throughout her youth summoning someone most famous nowadays for the curse which plagued archaeologists who broke into his tomb, no matter how whether there was a magecraft at work or not.

"You know, for a pharaoh, I have expected someone far more..." pausing to think about the word to use, she rests her head on her fist before continuing "... forceful." Sighing, she stands up before fishing a coin from her pocket. "We both can see merits of both approaches and neither of us prefers one over the other, which means we will leave that to a random chance. Heads, we scout, tails, we socialize then." Flipping the coin high in the air, Blenda's eyes track its movement before she catches it deftly and slaps it on her arm before checking. "Hmmm~. Tails it is."

Pocketing the coin again, she moves towards the door.

"Come then, let's learn more about who we will be working with."

@Yankee

Archer of Blue - William

If there was a word she would have to use to describe Çanakkale, it would be 'mundane'. There was little indicating the city's proximity to the site of the legendary Trojan War, and likewise, from what knowledge the grail saw fit to give her, William would be excused for not realizing she was not in Europe. Still, she slowly familiarized herself with the streets, eyes drifting towards rooftops of the surrounding buildings, taking note of the layout of the streets, the distance between promising locations. She could probably fortify the entire approach to Hector's mansion down to the smallest, most run down building and sever entrance, true, but that would be the waste of resources and time.

No, it was better to make the positions spread evenly.

"Lead the way!"

——————————————————
Hotel hallway

Hervor could not help but laugh at little at Christine, frustration truly was nothing to her anymore, to her it is still some kind of joke. When she was met in the hall with Thaleia she could tell that maybe she was being a little too touchy but that was no matter, it truly meant that Hervor liked this one and she was pretty sure she likes the legendary warrior back. But watching her quickly move away from her and do some sort of magic from the rings on her fingers definitely surprised Hervor and raised some hairs on her arm, that was not something you saw everyday, and Hervor had seen a lot of Shamans back in her day who was all crazed and mystical but this one was different.

"Impressive!" Hervor let out after watching her transform, she was now much shorter than before but that is fine with her, as long as Hervor could still tell who she was it is no matter. Hervor understood that normal people would go completely mental at the sight of Thaleia's original form so the precautionary measure of a transformation.

"Ah! It is no worries! I understand that normal people would be shocked to see all of what we are doing out in the open." As barbaric as Hervor is, she still has quite the insight on humanity which made her such a good candidate on this war. "But if it were up to me, I prefer your original form." With that Hervor ended with a smile and was lead to the elevator.

As they entered the elevator, Hervor still was not used to it, it was her second time on an elevator and the feeling in the stomach made her lower her stance a little in defence. She blinked and stood up straight after realising she was in no danger and carried on, trying to not make a fool of herself in front of Thaleia.

"Yes! Food! Upon our arrival here, I saw a sign that said Triple meat monster beef angus burger and that has been in my mind ever since. What is that?" She asked, crossing her arms and leaning her back against the back side of the elevator. Modern food is truly going to blow Hervor's mind.

Thaleia
Elevator

Her head bobbed up and down in response to the compliment, though she actually was the same height. She was just, by nature, kind of short. There was one certain thing about the illusion, something she actually didn't know Christina had put in. Partly because she wanted it to be accurate, and partly because she wanted to mess with her daughter. She was not fully capable of blushing, and this meant she was going to be blushing... alot. "I-It's something Mother made. P-Partly an illusion, partly a spell to not pay too much attention. E-Easier to do a mixture of the two, than just go for a stronger version of one of the two effects."

Blinking rapidly as Hervor spoke in understanding, she blushed even harder at the... was it a direct or indirect compliment? It sounded like an indirect one, but that smile made her think that it definitely had to be a direct compliment. Probably better to just not mention it. Walking after Hervor, she slipped into the elevator beside her and pressed the button for the first floor, tucking her hands against skirt afterwards. She didn't want to look at Hervor until her blush died down, and thus missed the fact that she had shifted at all. She only turned to look at her once she spoke up again.

Tripe meat monster beef angus burger... What in the world... OH! Ooooooh, there was a couple restaurants on the way to the hotel they passed. She must have seen an advertisement one had up for something they were offering. Well, she was thinking primarily of the cafe, but if the servant wanted something more substantial... "W-Well, it's a burger. A patty formed of ground up meat, in th-this case a type of beef. I-I assume the term triple meat means three patties, and monster means it's very large. W-We'll have to leave the hotel, but if you want one, w-we could head to the restaurant and get you one? E-Even if we don't take the car, there's always my motorcycle..."

Your faith never reached my land during my lifetime, but from what I have gleaned, your heavens disapprove of violence and murder, yes? Why join this war?"

The big, lanky Servant in the shabby jacket eyed his compatriot sidelong for a moment. . . and then he snorted, shaking his head and making his heavy tail of hair sway against his shoulders. He had forgotten just how different his companions were. Even when they seemingly hand so much in common, things like this could just jump out and surprise him. He leaned forward and spat over the edge of the roof, tucking his hands into his pockets.

"If God hated war so much as folks say," Rockwell growled calmly, "He wouldn't a' done so much of it." He turned to face Cao Cao as he spoke. "The prophet said that if any nation, tongue, or people proclaim war against you, and refuse peace, then go to God and he will give you a commandment, and justify you in goin' to war against them."

He smiled; a happy, serene, entirely mad little grin, white teeth barely showing through the thickness of that long beard, eyes bright as burning coals. "These folks are tryin' to turn back the clock on God's plan, friend. Take us back to the age a' beasts and devils - and that's not to be borne. The Lord gave this world to his chosen people, an' no pack of misbegotten sorcerers will take it away. No, sir. God saw what was goin' on, and how the unrighteous were workin' against his holy purpose, and so y'see what he did? He asked the prophet to set things right, and Joe tapped me on the shoulder an' sent me back down here to settle accounts."

There was a moment's pause, and then Rockwell looked back over the city, towards the slowly-lowering sun. "But first," he said contemplatively, "I could do all kinds of murder to a steak. You comin'?"

Caster of Red - Skuld

Caster remained still, considering her master's words carefully. While it was true that the masters of their own alliance were more than likely going to betray them if given the opportunity, it felt strange to already be planning for the dissolution of alliances. Of course, when it came to the mention of combat prowess Caster could not deny her own weakness. In a fight against most servants, her loss was almost certain if she were to stand and fight to the death. Caster raised her hand as if to accomplish some manner of brutality upon the squirrel that had intruded, but she lowered it once she sensed nothing hostile from it. Closing her eyes once more, Caster shut the world out from her eyes once more before she returned to her Master's side.

"Scouting...I see. I do have a solution, albeit a rudimentary one. Any living or dead that I could construct would be dispensed immediately...but a curse carried by one of your familiars could allow me to raise a number of the dead beneath their very feet," Caster said, a faint smile to her lips. "The countless clawing dead beneath their feet would serve to, if nothing else, let us observe their methods of combat. Alternatively, I could shroud the presence of a servant, preferrably Assassin, to scout themselves. I once hid an entire army in shadow, so one body would be trivial. Aside from that however, I am sad to say that I am not a scout my Master."

With her head bowed, Caster wondered which method her Master preferred. After all, if the dead were dispatched immediately then it would only serve to give the opposite alliance knowledge of her form of combat. But sending Assassin alone, even with an enchantment, was tantamount to suicide if a single misstep occurred.

Jacob Arling, Master of Red, Red Faction Base

Jacob stilled his motions and thought. Both options were valid considerations, as well as valid concerns. To use his familiars as a conduit for Caster's curses would undoubtedly cause a commotion amongst the Blue Faction, but it would also tip their hand and hint towards the abilities of one of the Red's Servants, and from there it wouldn't take much to narrow the culprit down to Caster, but at the least it wouldn't do much to hint at her identity.

On the other hand, Assassin WAS a Servant of their Class for a reason after all. The enchantments that Caster could provide may very well be enough to ensure that Assassin wouldn't be detected, but that didn't remove the possibility of the Blue possessing a Servant that could detect them. Despite his earlier words the idea of losing their factions Assassin so early into the War was, in truth, A horrifying prospect.

A nod of his head and he came to a decision before he turned back to his Servant with a cheery smile and a wave of his arm.

"Caster my dear, I think both of your ideas are wonderful. I propose thus, we imbue my familiars with your curse as suggested and send them running through the enemies stronghold. While they act as a distraction and raise hell, our Sweet Assassin shall slip in and conduct a mission of her own".

He bowed to his Servant, cane flourished to the side and one hand upon his hat as he tilted his head, orange bangs parted and allowing a single eye to gaze up at his Servant, shining faintly with the color of a storming sea.

"If you agree, I shall seek out Assassin and their Master at once to propose the plan. What say you, O Caster?"

"Today we feast!"

——————————————————
Somewhere in the hotel

Saber looked at the woman and blinked before clapping at her expense, it truly was impressive what her master could do and it never ceases to amaze her. A big smile brushed across her face as she took another look at Thaelia, even she had trouble looking through the disguise. It maybe a simple spell but it seems to be very effective.

"I am staring too much, come then we go ride to have this burger, just saying it sounds odd but tasty." She patted her stomach and continued walking but the part about leaving the hotel made her stop in her tracks and mood shifted. Hervor was told to stay in the hotel to not reveal herself to the public because who knows who is watching nowadays, but as soon as the thought of finally getting to be in a battle with another servant crossed her mind, a smile slowly grew on her face. She turned to Thaelia and nodded at her.

"Today we feast!" She exclaimed, raising her fist in the air, she wrapped her arm around Thaelia once again and started walking a bit quicker to get out of the hotel, "We ride this motorcyle of yours, I can ride, I am positive my riding skills apply to even modern machines like what we see now."

Rider of Red - Cao Cao

Upon hearing the response he got, Cao Cao stroked his beard in thought for several moments. In truth, he didn't understand a word of this man's reasoning. Heaven's will was not something he'd put much stock in over the course of his life, and he didn't care to parse through the seeming dichotomy of "do no murder" and "justified war". Perhaps that was part of the madness that made him a Berserker.

Still, at least they could agree on one thing: the other faction were a pack of fools and dreamers that had to be dragged kicking and screaming into reality. That much, he could get behind. This world they were in may not be ideal, but to simply erase the past would be to cheapen the sacrifices that had gone into shaping the present, including his own. Life did not give you a do-over. Failure was never truly the end.

"Very well. Our beliefs in the heavens may be utterly different from one another's, but we both agree that turning back the clock on this world is vanity. I can work with that. As for the steak..."

A nod. "Lead the way. I'm rather curious to see how food is prepared in foreign lands in this era. I don't believe I ate meat for decades by the end of my life, considering the state of the land I was in."

Thaleia
Elevator/Lobby/Garage

If there was something she was not expecting from the giant of a woman, clapping was not it. It made her jump slightly, even as she turned to stare at Hervor. Her eyes turned to look at her, and saw that massive smile on her face. Her face lit up scarlet and she ducked her head in embarrassment. If there was one thing she was not good with, it was attention.

Nodding her head a bit as she said she was staring too much, she frankly was staring a touch too much for her liking. It was one thing if it was mother, an ancient hero from history was an entirely different matter! Hurrying along slightly as the elevator deposited them on the first floor to try and hide her embarrassed blush, it took a moment for her to realize Hervor had stopped. Turning about to stare at the woman, she blinked a couple times as she watched the emotions on her face shift... Why was she getting a bad feeling about this?

Jumping slightly as she got an arm wrapped around her by the frankly amazonian woman, she started getting hurried out of the hotel. Her blush was definitely not going away any time soon, was it? "W-Wait, you're g-going the wrong direction. W-We're heading t-to the garage, not the front doors!" She jabbed a finger towards a pair of doors off to the side of the main lobby, and thus began to get them in the right direction. It wasn't too far to the Garage, though they did wind up having to go down some steps.

Eventually though, she managed to guide Hervor to her motorcycle. A modern piece of machinery, black, orange, and white emblazoned across the fancy motorcycle. "I-It's a KTM 1290 Super D-Duke... Mother g-got it for me as a birthday g-gift last year, did her own mod-difications on it as well... Said I-I deserved only th-the best if I was g-gonna ride. S-So... helmets are in the b-bags at the b-back."

West Çanakkale, Mansion, Blenda's Room

The young man titled his head to one side, regarding his master as she searched for the end of her sentence... though when she found it, he wasn't pleased by the words. "Forceful?" he repeated back to her. His eyes darkened, and his expression morphed into a scowl.

"You know nothing of Pharaohs, master," Berserker scoffed. He turned from Blenda, rolling his shoulders with a huff. "All of the Pharaoh's kingdom is at their fingertips. What need have we to be forceful when people are eager to serve their god?"

Or destroy them. Berserker waved the dark thought away. He could feel his irritation rising, but he ignored it as best he could. As far as partnerships went, his and Blenda's was still new. There was no sense in sabotaging it already. Besides, he had nothing to prove to her. While Blenda went about her chance based method of choosing, Berserker drummed his fingers along his arms. Behind him, he heard Blenda call out the result: tails.

I suppose this is a team effort, he thought. Some of the Blue Team he'd already met in passing, but most were still a complete mystery. Including Blenda honestly, but in time that would no longer be the case. He'd already learned that the woman was wont to play around with games of chance, something that didn't so much intrigue Berserker as... disconcert him, maybe.

He brushed passed his master, exiting the room. He made space for Blenda to pass him by if she so wanted, but otherwise he started off.

"What do you already know about the others?" he asked, "What do you think of them? Tell me."

Saber seemed preoccupied with whatever it was she was doing with those dishes, so Farren smiled and shrugged at his own servant, gently ushering her out of the courtyard and into the mansion proper.

"Well, moving on. I'll show you the grounds after a few key locations inside," he chuckled. Being the man he was, Farren had already memorized the layout. His dress shoes clicked against the stone floor as he led them both deeper inside. “It would be nice to expand my control over the forest outside, but it can wait a little while.”

"That is something I can easily do," Arachne says. "I have a vast control over spiders, after all. I can adapt their senses to my own, and see and hear for several miles around me."

"Indeed. With your power we can not only expand the web network, but improve it."

It would be a wonderful project, working with Arachne up close. Watching her unparalleled weaving, not to mention her magic from the age of gods, would be a once in a lifetime experience. Every movement in those woods were his familiars were spread already transmitted back to Farren, and sharing it with Arachne as well would be nothing but beneficial. Getting himself, his spiders, and the first spider on a completely shared network was priority one...

...after a tour of the mansion.

"So, the first stop." Farren had guided them both through the wide hallways and into a spacious dining hall.

My, my, such a great hall,” Arachne says, “Fit to entertain feasts of Kings and Queens, Emperors and Empresses,” she says, looking around, “yet, no guards. Is it only we, Servants, set to guard this place? Have you nothing else?

Farren shrugged one shoulder. "The lord of the house has his ways. Besides, if all goes well, no enemy would make it through the surrounding forest."

He ran his hand across the wooden table top as he moved through the hall. Through another door was an equally spacious kitchen, also currently unoccupied. Garlic and other dried vegetables hung from the walls, and fruits sat out on tables for any peckish passerbys.

"We'll head up stairs to the living area. I understand that Servants don't need to sleep, but I'm sure if you desire a room we can give you that."

"The meals one could cook in such a place," Arachne says, lagging behind. "I needn't a room for slumber, no, but a place to weave is greatly desired." Arachne couldn't weave without space for her wheel and loom. Surely, there was a room with such space within. "Within short order, I could weave web for miles out," she boasts, radiating a pride unbreakable. "I can weave anything, after all."

"Then you'll have it. A room with a view so you can overlook your work." The servant's confidence made Farren all the more eager to see her work. "Is there anything else you'll need? Better to get everything now while it's early."

Ideas,” Arachne says, “Art comes of inspiration. Like, an idea of guards or some such,” she says, “I could weave a grand meal, but such a thing is hollow, and hollow works mean nothing.

"Inspiration," Farren echoed, touching a hand to his chin. The Irishman was a collector, not so much an artist. The only thing he'd ever created were the spiders that littered the mansion. Still, even he could understand the need for something to inspire.

"Makes sense. I'll call upon the others if I have to in order to provide you the greatest references... I suppose just a page in a book won't do."

Her suggestion was a wise one. In addition to crafted guardsmen, it might benefit the blue team for their Caster to weave some other defenses as well, should the forest of webs fail. You never knew with spirits as powerful as the ones they'd summoned here. Gates, dogs - Hell, even monsters. Better not get ahead of myself. Let's start with the guardsmen.

"If you have ideas, I have the silk to bring them forward," Arachne says, pressing her fingers together, and pulling them apart; silk spread between the contact of her well-filed nails. It was a rainbow of colors, and she started to move her fingers in a sweeping motions, which brought the silk together; strands mixed by deft movements of fingers, like those upon a loom, and a pattern emerged from nothing. "An idea becomes realized, if one understands it," she says, as the pattern was becoming a fine kitchen set of pots and utensils... and a sword. "The better than understanding, the more significant the art, and the more profound and lasting it becomes."

Arachne held up a small tapestry, a scene of a kitchen at work, with a prominence placed on the countertop, and the sword. Suddenly, she turned it over, and shook out the kitchenware falling out with realistic metal clatters, while the sword hit with an almost wooden thump. It was clearly not as understood as the kitchenware, for why would a weaver be familiar with a sword?

"Incredible..." Farren reached to pick up the sword, turning the false object over in his hands. Creating something from nothing was one thing, but the speed and relative accuracy of his servant was another. He looked over at Arachne with the same pleased look in his eye that'd been there since he'd summoned her.

"Let's get you set up as quickly as possible, so you can work your magic," he said, leaving the kitchenware to litter the floor but taking the makeshift weapon with him. "Understanding, hm? I can help you with that. We'll make the designs something closer to what you might have seen in your lifetime for simplicity - and I'll bring you any information I don't already have in my head. Tomes, paintings, local experts." Farren nodded to himself as he spoke, leading Caster quickly away and toward a narrow staircase headed for the private guest chambers.

"Miss Spider, do you know how the human body works? We can start there. I have no doubt of your ability, but I can lend you my familiars if you have need of them as well."

"I have a general idea of how my human body works, so I could create a human woman, if you so desired such companionship," Arachne says, assuming that was Farren's goal with a clear look of displeasure, ""Of course, I am not versed in the workings of the mind, so it would be without much of a mind, if didn't instill it with some means to achieve will and sapience. Maybe, design it to be driven by your familiars with your knowledge in tow?"

Arachne looked more displeased, now, however.

The Irishman laughed. "Companionship - no. I've always been more of a lone wanderer. Besides, I have you by my side, don't I?"

Master and servant's footsteps echoed in the stone stairwell as they chatted. "That said, I suppose whether a male or female body is used doesn’t matter. We can use the spiders as a 'brain' of sorts, that will work. I'll breed more of them with that in mind. I'm no tactician, but at the very least our new guardsmen won't be as mindless constructs." He considered the feasibility of piloting the false guards while maintaining the information web both inside and out of the manse... and supplying Caster with energy. This was a situation Farren hadn't expected to find himself in even just a few months ago, but he thought he could handle it all the same.

"I expect these woven guardsmen will be mere distractions for the likes of an enemy servant, but even just time bought for our allies is valuable on the battlefield. Or so I've read. Ah, here."

The top of the stairs led to a small landing, and beyond that a hall where a long ornate carpet was run. There were doors dotting the walls every few dozen feet.

Arachne seemed placated by that response; the spider within satisfied on a territorial level - for now. In the interim, the woman was thinking. As she settled her thought, she spoke, "A female body is what I'm most familiar with. Features like strength and such are implications of perception. If we see a man in rich clothing, we assume he is such - even though, if truth, he may be a penniless pauper and a thief. So, if my weaving of said guardsmen is one that invokes strength of will and form, their femininity will play no negative roles." Arachne's fingernails clacked together, one by one, in a staccato rhythm in fourths, as she paused to think, before she continued, "Hoplite are the strongest warriors I knew of; Centurion, their Roman counterpart, as well. To be female and involved in such a militaristic position would denote strength unusual and undeniable."

Arachne turned, "As well as, unmistakable." As they reached the summit landing of the stairwell, and looked upon the carpeting long and ornate, Arachne hummed. "It would be pertinent, perhaps, to make smaller animals, as well. Vermin, or some such that do not fare out of place or line. In such, we can extend my eyes and ears beyond my limit without endangering your life," she suggested, planning forward, "I can control and see and hear through all spiders upon their webs within three miles of my waking body. Therefore, your familiars in their puppet suits can work beyond that, especially when I am asleep, and that area of knowing dulls to a mile. If they sense oddities outside of my area of knowing, I may focus my attention better, and filter out the noise, so to speak."

Arachne paused in front of a door. "Does that sound like a good enough idea, Master Farren," she asks, as she turned the door handle. "This is the room I've chosen."

Farren turned the knob and clicked open the door to his servant's new room, though he didn't enter it, letting her step inside first.

"That's a fine plan indeed," he said, giving Arachne his approval. "I wouldn't worry so much about me. I may not be a fighter, but I am, ah... efficient, at the very least. Still, it couldn't hurt. We'll spread our webs as far as possible and catch as many flies unawares as we can."

As a spider is wont to do,” Arachne says, as she entered, with a marked note of sadness to her tone - clearly unhappy with the cursed nature of her children.

Her words gave Farren pause, though only briefly. Whether it was his nature as a magus, or as a man, he didn't ask about the forlorn tone of her voice.

"Let's get you set up then. And," he said, touching a finger to his forehead. "We're linked together, and you have some great connection to your kin, but we'll officially connect you to my personal brood."

Arachne tilted her head, rather maiden-like. “Hm,” she nodded.

Her master stepped inside the room to join her, taking in the rather plain interior compared to the rest of the mansion. Gently, he closed the door behind him and offered Arachne a smile. Without any flair, Farren reached up to the right side of his face, spending a few moments to caress what was hidden underneath his hair there.

"It will be easier with the newborns I think," he explained. After a moment or two, his hand came away and inside it was a small, spherical crystal. Arachne could easily feel what was inside of it, and Farren didn't feel he had to voice that he'd already placed complete trust in his servant despite meeting her that very day.

"Let's get started."

Arachne clashed her fingernails together, and ripped them apart at contact; five glittering, silken strands held in the air like a rainbow, before she repeated the process.

Silently, with naught but a nod, she set to work. In due time, Farren would see the first woven tapestry of a naked, human female, like a veritable work of art, appear.

And, if his mythology was sharp enough, he would realize it was based on paintings of Athena - the one that Arachne hated most for cursing her life.

Now, a slave - in image - to her needs.

Caster of Red - Skuld

A small smile graced Caster's face as her ideas were approved of. It seemed that even despite her reserved nature, praise had its desired effect on her. Or, maybe she was just really hoping to make a good impression on her master. Either way, she would look a bit happier as she raised the unfinished chocolate to her lips and bit into it, dull eyes conveying nothing, but her lively ears sprung up and down for a brief instant. "Let us be off then. I cannot leave you alone with another servant. Not until I'm certain we can trust them. I walk in your shadow, my Master," Caster stated, entering her spirit form and following Jacob. The ancient master could sense the transient state of the mana that comprised Caster's form was trailing behind him at a respectful distance, perhaps fearing to cause discomfort to her master...

Or, perhaps she was just walking slowly to savor the lingering taste of chocolate and caramel.

Either way, there was nothing to indicate that Caster had anything but the best intentions for her Master, which, if Jacob had already been privy to her True Name already was true to her nature. A being that was loyal to their master to an obssessive degree, willing to topple nations, to destroy her own family, to wage war against the world simply because she was asked to...

That is who Skuld was. And that is who she shall remain forevermore. A beast that didn't question why out of morality, but of efficiency. A servant that didn't belong amongst the more heroic members of her team. As such, she wouldn't try to, unless approached about it. Trust wasn't something earned easily, but was something that should never be broken easily.

Oni no Hanzo,
by her Master's side, at a discreet cafe.

Smiling, she held her Master's hand. There was no flurry, fanfare or any grandiose effects, just the changing of the scenery, a single snap as if turning on a light. Hanzo had already brought her Master to an alley close to the cafe she had mentioned, her shadows having already made sure no one was watching. This was the true usage of her Noble Phantasm, perhaps an abysmal one compared to the other Heroes with far stronger mysteries at their disposal.

Hanzo had already changed her appearance, looking more like a foreign tourist now as they headed to the mom and pop cafe.

"Here we are Master. It is quite a simple ability is it not?"

Yao Ying Xi,
Mansion's courtyard.

"Yes. Though it is much more than that." The flow was predominantly yin, growing stronger as she walked towards her servant. Of course, her servant's entire being was yin, but this one was stronger, as if it was a demon of some sort. Was it that detestable mage? "The sun mirror, while mostly being used to focus sunlight to start kindling, can also function as the moon mirror, whose purpose is to collect dew by moonlight. And the moon mirror can be used as the sun mirror. In essence, they are one, reflecting different sides of a whole."

She was silent for a moment as she recognized the figure she was approaching. "What I'm trying to say is, my work relies on the balances and imbalances of the two, and as water, you have the ability to influence them greatly. It will be both a great boon and a curse. Please be mindful of that."

"Greetings. Have you business with Saber?" Ying Xi spoke as she neared Farren, her eyes glancing sharply at his Servant.

"Hi Master! I am Lancer, not your typical one but my weapon gets the job done~"

Wherever the Location is

A pillar light bursts forth from the ground. A light just enough to bother her closed eyelids, even if her body and mental strain were killing her. The light was tempting enough for her to take a peek, to open those eyes to see a beautiful young lady in blue appear before her.

Raven hair, sapphire accents, a skirt that similarly emulates the petals of a lily growing upside-down. Her soft, peaceful smile kneeling down to meet her Master's visage. It looked innocent. Like someone that doesn't belong in war, someone that needed to be kept behind a wall, far from all the chaos that will ensue, and yet behind her was a long polearm, a curved blade stretching out near the end- a scythe. How peculiar for a Lancer to be summoned wielding one.

Although now that she would have seen the gargantuan weapon behind her. The context behind the pretty girl's smile turned into a different kind, that perhaps that smile was perhaps the work of a fanatic, a cultist whose sole purpose is to bring death wherever she will go. The bright blue eyes were hypnotizing for a moment before the look of insanity subtly settling in between the windows of her ethereal soul.

"Oh dear, oh dear, my Master is in pain." She answered, her hands gripping her shoulders, shaking them. A frown forming ever so slowly on her face, a look of worry that she manages. "Please wake up, Master. It's such a waste to summon me only for you to sleep! This War has just begun, no? You don't want to miss it right? I don't want to see you in pain." The shaking was fast, intensifying. If she wasn't going to wake up soon, she might take some more drastic measures.
