woah.

There's a lot of sheets now. I might still do a Jedi temple guard (or just a regular jedi knight) or be one of the politicians that were part of the Delegation of 2000.

If you’re still taking people, I’m working on my CS but it probably won’t be done until tomorrow. I appear to be the slow writer of the bunch.

You're all good my dude. I don't think I'm going to close this game solely due to the style I'm going for... this is unless I suddenly get a shit tonne of players. Anyway. I sleep now..

Dai Dai Ahrkan, 18
_______________________________________________________________
Jedi Padawan | Eshar, Inner Rim
_______________________________________________________________

A P P E A R A N C E

Dai Dai looks a fair bit tamer than many of the Zabrak one might immediately think of -- his hair is neatly combed, incluis padawan braid behind his right ear, his tattoo's are not overly offensive or distracting, and he typically wears a neutral or friendly expression on his face.

His skin is a noticeable pale-grey that stands out compared to the populous humans, which is only furthered by the fact that his skin is marked with black tattoo's. Despite this, the young Zabrak has found that he is, indeed, not the strangest person in the entirety of the Jedi Order and, in fact, could be easily described as one of the more mundane aliens. Ofcourse this was all news to the young jedi padawan, who when he was recruited as a youngling, had never met an alien before.
---

---B I O G R A P H Y

Iridonia -- a cruel and unforgiving place for any person, even a Zabrak. Dai Dai was born to a poor mother and even poorer father, whose income was almost entirely based upon running errants for a local smuggler. The jobs were small, and the pay was even smaller. But it put food on the table, in small quantities. Why on Iridonia they decided to have a child, however, was anyone's guess. Perhaps they had hoped that in due time, he would fill the shoes of his father or perhaps do something greater. It seems they were correct, but they had aptly misunderstood the meaning of 'something greater.' Perhaps they had imagined young Dai Dai a smuggler or a crimelord. But he was none of these things. He was a troublemaker, surely, and in a way that only a young boy can be, but he was not criminal material.

Perhaps it was for the best, then, that the young clumsy boy was whisked away by a Jedi Knight that was passing by and, in a stroke of good luck, detected force sensitivity in the boy. His father was easy to convince -- a few credits for his spawn, and the promise that more would follow. His mother not so much -- for all her flaws, she had always been a good mother. And who was to say what would become of Dai Dai out there in the galaxy? She would rather see him safe, in the arms of his mother, working hard for some crimelord like her husband did -- a mediocre life, but far removed from the politics of Coruscant or any other 'far away places.'

Ultimately the Jedi Knight was succesful in convincing her that, in fact, being a youngling was perhaps the safest thing to be in the Galaxy -- and, well, most younglings didn't exactly become knights. There was always the agricultural corps. Ofcourse, his mother couldn't sense what the knight had -- that while Dai Dai was not a particularly smart boy, there was no shortage of potential in him, as far as the force went. Dai Dai could become many things, but an agricultural corps member would not be one of them.

The Knight took him aboard his ship, and Dai Dai has never looked back. On the ship, the Jedi explained many things to him -- about the force, what it means to be a Jedi, and many other great tales that Dai Dai scarcely remembers. About the force and the true meaning of being a jedi, that was something that a young boy had no interest in -- but stories of heroism and combat, now those were tales.

This attitude remained true for Dai Dai during his studies -- while he worked hard, his mastery of the more refined and cultured aspects of the training were generally barely good enough. Despite his great connection to the force, it appeared to be the case that while being connected with, and sensitive to the force was one thing, understanding it and how it flows is another matter entirely.

Ofcourse, being Dai Dai, the boy got on with sheer luck -- and a helping hand here and there from his friend Ahsurah, whom he was in the same clan as. The two got on like best friends almost immediately, and this was precisely the type of 'luck' Dai Dai was gifted with -- the luck to always meet the right people, step the right way, do the right thing. If it weren't for his quite apparent force sensitivity, some might have even said that he had simply lucked his way into the temple.

Dai Dai made it to the Jedi Tournaments without a care in the world, and went through them in much the same fashion. He blundered and lucked his way through, unlike his friend Ahsurah, and managed to become a Padawan with (relative) ease -- it seemed that his connection to the force was strong enough that it allowed him to use it as a sixth sense to a much higher degree than peers of his age in spite of his lacking understanding of the more academic understanding of the force, or how it worked. In essence -- the force was simply an extension of his body much like a lightsaber becomes an extension of your body with enough training -- only that in Dai Dai's case, this extension seem to come naturally.

As a Padawan he became indentured to Jedi Knight Kashar V'raar as his student -- Kashar attempted to instill some form of knowledge and discipline into Dai Dai, but found Dai Dai to be lacking the motivation and drive for the former. The latter, however, he found Dai Dai to be extremely susceptible to, and in fact, he surmised that Dai Dai's lack of regard for more intellectual pursuits was not a matter of discipline, but rather the lack of a sufficiently powerful motivator for a sort of intellectual breakthrough. Dai Dai was simply not challenged enough to get interested in what the force truly was rather than what his elementary understanding of the force told him it was.

In order to report this to the council, he and Dai Dai returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant after a successful mission to impede a criminal organization in their efforts to provide weaponry to a terrorist cell on a distant planet. Dai Dai was under the impression that Kashar was simply delivering a mission report; the truth was that Kashar was going to report to the council that he found himself lacking a sufficiently powerful enough ability to motivate Dai Dai to improve his understanding of the force, and to request their opinion on the matter -- after all, it would be prudent to help Dai Dai understand the force better, rather than continue to allow him to subside on just his uncanny and unnatural connection to the force.

This meeting with the council would never come to be. As the two moved through the hallway of the temple, Dai Dai on the right of his master, Dai Dai felt a sudden pull in the back of his mind -- as if someone or something was calling to him -- and stopped momentarily to turn around and investigate. When he saw nothing, he turned back, just in time to see Kashar step into the middle of a crossroads in the hallways. The unmistakable sound of blaster fire alerted Kashar -- and he skillfully and with resolve deflected the bolts of the blasters using a rapid movement with his saber.

Had he not stopped and looked back, it seems likely that Dai Dai would have had an unfortunate ending to his life at the hand of these bolts. Instead, he was still halfway through the hallway they'd come in through.

A second lightsaber activated, this time straight through the chest of master V'raar -- and in a final act of heroism that would come to be the defining characteristic of Kashar V'raar time and time again, he extended his hand to the right -- towards Dai Dai -- and commanded him, ".. run!" knowing all too well that Dai Dai was too stubborn to listen to such a command.

A sudden force overcame Dai Dai, sending him to his behind, sliding across the floor in a whirlwind back down the hallway they had just come through. When he slid to a halt, the lightsaber through Kashar's chest disappeared, and the figure that had used it on the poor knight stepped into the hallway.

Dai Dai remembers his voice not even coming past his throat as he tried to yell the name of the man who had committed this atrocity; a man he had come to revere as a hero, "Anakin!"

But his words had no effect; rather than stop the man in his tracks, to wake Dai Dai from this bad dream, he continued on his way towards the padawan, and yet again Dai Dai felt that pull in the back of his mind, that voice echoing the command of his former master, "run!"

He scrabbled to his feet, turning around and running towards the exit. Once more, a sudden pull, this time at his feet -- no, towards his feet. Stumbling over his own feet, he leaned forward, putting his hands on the cold floor to try and retain balance. Not a second later the whizz of a lightsaber flew over his head, and then immediately whizzed back towards its owner.

After that he stumbled for real, falling onto his side. Anakin was after him, and for once Dai Dai felt he was completely in over his head. All those missions with Kashar, all those criminals defeated with words, the force, or force.. it wasn't good enough to prepare him for this. But he had to try.

His hand extended towards the panel on the side of a door, Dai Dai closed his eyes and focused, and then...

whzzzz.

The door slid closed.

It wasn't much, but it'd buy him enough time to get to his feet and run. Where to, he didn't know, but he had to keep going -- not to the main exit, where the fighting was just subsiding. He ran, and ran, through the many corridors, and through a stroke of good luck and a few lucky "pulls" that he wasn't even sure if he was imagining them or not, he managed to find an unattended exit in the form of a transparisteel window that had been blown out by a thermal detonator -- or multiple.

Dai Dai tried to flee deep into the city, though his every move was halted by the clone troopers he had once thought their allies. Movement was getting trickier the more time passed since the incident, and Dai Dai's luck would eventually run out.

---S K I L L S

Lucky: Whether it is through some sort of untapped senses of his or just plain, dumb luck; Dai Dai is undeniably lucky -- and consistently so. He is far too lucky for it to be mere coincidence, and can rely on a healthy dose of help from the unseen hand of lady luck to get through any situation.

Natural Force: Dai Dai has shown an extreme sense of a natural connection to the force, and often enjoys a sort of sixth sense that takes root in the force. He often senses "things" when others do not, although he lacks the knowledge to be able to utilize this as anything more than a sixth sense that leaves him guessing often as to what it means.

Combat Training \\ Form V: Dai Dai favors the Djem So school of form V, as he found the school to offer enough defense to be suitable for him, while offering an alternative to the purely defensive forms in that it allows him to counterattack, too -- perfect for someone as stubborn and headstrong as him.

Force Potential: Dai Dai has a large amount of potential when it comes to his mastery of the force, but has a long way to go when it comes to controlling it -- his lack of control but also his natural connection to the force mean that he is not particularly adept at using any of his force abilities, but also that their effects may be stronger (or less strong) depending on his emotional state.

---A B I L I T I E S

Basic force manipulation: Operating well within the spectrum of where a padawan should be, Dai Dai exerts a healthy degree of skill in the basic manipulation of the force, such as the moving of objects or the enhancement of his physical capabilities.

Force Vision: An unintended and unaware effect of his natural connection to the force, Dai Dai is gifted (or cursed) with random visions that come from the force, although his lack of control often means he is left confused, and allows his emotions to interfere in the visions needlessly.

Force Statis: Technically, Dai Dai is barely even a practicioner; he has had extremely mixed results with the force technique. Sometimes he is able to freeze multiple blaster bolts at once from numerous directions; other times, it seems as if his technique barely has an effect.

---W E A K N E S S E S

No Knowledge: Reciting a phrase over and over and internalizing it is one thing, but to actually understand it on a fundamental, personal level to a degree that it becomes a part of life is another. This problem permeated itself through Dai Dai's life as a jedi, and it has become clear that while Dai Dai possesses an uncanny connection to the force, he does not currently understand it or what it means.

Blunderer: Dai Dai is prone to... happy little accidents. Sometimes they are not so happy, or little. It became clear quite early that Dai Dai would never become a consul -- he threatened many a diplomatic mission by bumbling on just a little bit too long. While these problems usually rectified themselves through the hard work of the heroic Kashar V'raar, it seems that without the help of his late master, the holes that Dai Dai digs for himself will need to be filled by himself. And, preferably, not with his body.

Headless chicken: When you spend a life in service to your teacher as an initiate and your master as a padawan, never once moving from their side (or one of the 19 other initiates, with their grubby little hands) you become increasingly accustomed to, and appreciative of, the comfort that is given to you by having direction. Your master tells you to move left, then you move left. Lacking a master, or anyone to give him orders, Dai Dai will quickly become bogged down in indecisiveness and random action. It is hard to find rationale to his actions sometimes, as he seems to move based on the whims of his luck, tugs of the force, or his visions -- and, sometimes, just at random. Left to his own devices he will inevitably stumble his way into a nest of angry hornets wearing white armor and lots of blasters.

@Blackmist16 that would either be the header (at the top) which is an image, or the sub headers (like the smaller ones) that I believe are just unicode.

S E N A T O R J E H L A I R K
A P P E A R A N C E
Standing at 5' 10" tall, Jeh Lairk was physically fit with an olive tone and prominent scars across his hands and arms. His square face, softly shaped jaw, and light blue eyes were notable features that caught the attention of many. Jeh maintained medium-length, frizzy, black hair which went un-styled—no matter where he went. And he wore ambiguous clothing that was a mixture of professional and informal wear while wearing some jewelry.

S K I L L S
Senator Lairk - Being a senator wasn't an easy job as one would've thought. Jeh Lairk had to learn so much about his homeworld's politics and the galaxy in its entirety. In addition, he also learned history and became proficient at writing. But all of the struggles and hardships were worth it. In his time as senator, Jeh managed to form friendships with several senators and established contacts and connections across both Coruscant and Corellia—particularly those in the shipyards.

Corellian Engineering - Besides politics, Jeh learned a few things about engineering in his time at Corellia. He knew how to repair and upgrade certain airspeeders; he tinkered with other senators whenever he wasn't busy with senatorial duties. And he learned things about freighters because he worked on customing a YT-2000 transport, which was stashed back at his home in Coronet City. His friend, Nenror Athis, helped him out by gathering the required parts and maintaining the freighter whenever Jeh was away.

Professional Pilot - Since he was Corellia, it was inevitable that Jeh would've taken an interest in piloting a starship and exploring the galaxy. But before politics got in his way, he knew a lot about flying freighters. And it didn't stop when he became a senator especially since he was working on a YT-2000 transport to modify.

F L A W S
Corrupt Senator - Like many senators in the Galactic Republic, Jeh was guilty of being corrupt and self-indulgent. To him, wealth brought him more happiness than he will ever have in life. He wasn't extremely rich compared to other senators, such as Orn Free Taa, but still lived utter luxury. Enough to keep trouble off of his back. And unless they were at the meetings with the Delegation of 2,000, they didn't know Jeh's actual values and beliefs.

Delegate of 2000 - Jeh understood that signing the Petition of 2000 could've meant being accused of treason against the republic. And it would have, for sure, painted a new target on his back. But Jeh didn't care because he was doing to protect democracy against a Chancellor that had so much power over the Republic.

Stubborn As A Mule - Like his father, Jeh Lairk was a stubborn bastard that became more unyielding when he became a senator. And with that dangerous path the Republic found itself in, Jeh challenged the emergency powers that Chancellor Palpatine gained during the Clone Wars. He knew that his life would be difficult opposing the Chancellor, but he had to do it or go against his beliefs.

Lone Rebel - Corellians were always known to have independent minds and often stood against authority for personal reasons. It was no different with Jeh Lairk, who stood against Chancellor Palpatine towards the end of the Clone Wars. He had repeatedly written about how the Chancellor should give up the emergency powers once peace prevailed. But, it unknowingly put him in danger, especially after Order 66.

H I S T O R Y
Being born four years before the start of the Clone Wars, Corellia never saw the brutal fighting between droids and clones since it was inside Republic territory. Nalmun Lairk was a predominant government official on the planet. His son, Jeh Lairk, desired to follow in his father's footsteps at a young age. Educated at prestigious schools on Coronet City and the galactic capital of Coruscant for her education, Jeh secured his first political position as a member of Coronet City council. He severed for seven years until his father died of natural cause, leaving his senator position available.

While he running for the spot, Jeh learned that his mother used to be a pilot before settling down with her husband. That was when he learned that she used to own a YT-2000 transport before selling it to another Corellian, Nenror Athis. Jeh found the owner working at a nearby shipyard and offered to purchase the transport for him. Instead, his credits were rejected. That was when he thought of a stupid idea: a race around the yards on some airspeeders. If Jeh won the race, he got the transport for half the price. If Nenror won instead, he would've to depart his credits and the custom airspeeder that he had.

The race was already dangerous enough, but the port authorities ended up involved and caught up to Nenror, whose airspeeder broke down midway through the race. Instead of finishing the race, Jeh turned around and provided a convincing cover story for the authorities. He also provided some credits to ensure that they absolutely saw nothing. Nenror was thankful that his ass was saved and decided to depart with the transport for half the price; yet, Jeh paid full price for it while giving him a little extra. The two became friends since that day and even maintained contact after Jeh left Coronet City.

After being appointed, Jeh Lairk moved back to Coruscant towards the end of the Clone Wars shortly after the battle. His wealth only increased in his time in the capital, which led him to be content and then eventually corrupt. However, as the debts and casualties rose slowly, the senator was becoming tired of the war and pushed for peace with the enemy. He had a deeper concern Chancellor Palpatine since gaining so much power during the Clone War especially with his control over the Galactic Banking Clan. So, in a surprising move, Jeh signed the Petition of 2000 that stated the Chancellor should give up the emergency powers acquired throughout the war.

Afterward, he became one of the Delegation of 2000 and formed acquaintances with several other senators, including Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Padmé Amidala. Then, Order 66 happened. Jeh watched from his balcony when smoke rose from the Jedi Temple, wondering what was going on. The following day, the Supreme Chancellor issued a special session of Congress to address what happened.

I thought about it a bit, you know, I've RPed with you before long ago and I always thought that you're a great roleplayer, so I wanted to consider the option for a master, but ultimately I decided against it because I feel like it'd give him an easy way out -- the whole point of the RP, to me, is to thrust a bunch of people into the unknown with no real goal or purpose. They're all lost. Having a jedi master to just tell my guy what to do would be antithetical to that, I found.

I also thought that, eventually, the cast of the RP would need to come together to really form a cohesive plotline together, so inevitably he'd meet other people and there are a few characters that I believe he can meet on Coruscant right now organically without us needing to shoe-horn it in because I'm an SW noob.
