We don't even have a Justice League or Avengers. I would advise against this, but I am only a player.

From what I gathered Kindred was planning on starting it.

When I joined Ultimate DC in 2013, one thing drew me to it over other RPs. It wasn’t solitary writing. It wasn’t the mere concept of interpreting a comic book character. What drew me to it was that it had its own continuity and somewhat stuck to it. If characters took their leave, they left their mark and the next writer had to pick up where the last one left it. It was like a comic book writer taking over from another. Ironic, I know, given I haven’t exactly done that as Batman here.
But I think that’s what stuck with me. It was its own universe and the idea was every season things built into its own separate thing. This didn’t pan out with Guildfall obviously but it is something I think about often. If we want these games to have actual legs in the future: discernable mileage, we need to have people playing characters that matter and hold weight. Addressing this and roleplay philosophy is crucial. I would recommend better organization is the first start to this.
Hello again.
So, uh… I was brought here by King Kindred.
My reason for not joining when this was first starting, was that it felt like I would be writing fanfiction. I would be writing stories by myself. When I join a group RP I want to interact and form relationships with other peoples characters.
But now I heard that era is ending, and that someone is planning on using Zatanna? I have a character sheet for a version of her cousin Zachary Zatara in this character sheet format for a Teen Titans RP I didn’t get into.
He’ll be a part of the Titans.
I should've clarified more. That's my fault. They'll be happening, but not yet. Not until some time passes and after the Justice League is formed(which shouldn't take long after Half Pint and I discussed some things).
<Snipped quote by King Kindred>
I know the RP takes precedence, but especially given our current hemorrhaging of a roster we really should not rush such team formations.
Without giving away too much, I'm writing a sheet for a character with the goal of forming a Justice League, although not straight away. I'm going to have a few storylines with them, and hopefully a few collabs with people before anything gets formed. I think a large scale event somewhere down the line would be best to unite everyone rather than just at random.
<Snipped quote by Half Pint>
I think my argument is mostly that we should pace ourselves, especially given the new circumstances. Let's get our ducks in a row before hatching more eggs.
<Snipped quote by mickilennial>
I think this is a really insightful take, and one I wish I'd taken into account at the start of this roleplay. I think you're 100% right with all of this.
With the shift in the roster I think it would be a good idea to establish the key events we're taking forward in this roleplay. The Fire Troll Event is of course one, and Lionel's bounty on Thor within Metropolis. When I get a minute I'll try and create a timeline of important events, if anyone has any they'd wish to add they think new players might need to know about please let me know.

Fantastic, we'd be glad to have you! For the record, as much as this roleplay encourages solo stories, players are free to collab as much as they want and if this is something you'd rather do solely you're completely free to do this.
I am using Zatanna, however it might be a good idea to read my sheet and see if your version of Zachary fits in my interpretation of her, being that it's quite a bit reimagined. I'm happy to work with you to make things work, and it would be cool to do a collab if this works, but as a heads up my storyline with her has a definite end I am working towards!

Built from advanced alloys of his own design, the suit grants him immense strength, powerful durability, and full environmental protection, letting him survive explosions, extreme temperatures, and hazardous conditions. Its thrusters allow for high-speed flight and rapid maneuvering, while the helmet's integrated sensors provide enhanced vision, targeting, and situational awareness across multiple spectrums. With onboard life support, internal diagnostics, and a responsive servo system amplifying every movement, the armor gives Steel the raw physical power and resilience needed to operate on the same level as metahumans - even though everything he can do comes from his mind, his engineering skill, and the suit he built with his own hands. - T O O L (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ Kinetic Hammer Steel's signature weapon is a heavy, high-density alloy hammer built with a kinetic energy system that allows it to strike far harder than any conventional tool. It can store force, discharge it in controlled bursts that generate concussive shockwaves, and return to Steel’s hand thanks to magnetic recall nodes built into the suit. ◼ Rivet Cannon A heavy industrial tool re-engineered into a devastating ranged weapon. Originally designed to fire superheated construction rivets into steel beams, John modified the internal chambering, pressure coils, and magnetic rails to transform it into a high-impact combat platform. The cannon can launch dense alloy rivets with enough force to punch through engine blocks, pierce armored plating, or pin hostile metahumans to walls. - N O T A B L E S K I L L S & T A L E N T S N O T A B L E S K I L L S & T A L E N T S - S K I L L (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ Mechanical & Structural Engineering A world-class engineer with specialization in metallurgy, ballistics, exoskeleton design, and structural physics. He has peak human strength, endurance, and resilience. - | T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... John Henry Irons' childhood was haunted by tragedy. His parents were murdered when he was very young, leaving him to navigate life with both grief and an unshakable determination. He felt early on that the only way to protect those he loved and avoid the helplessness he felt as a child was to be strong and capable. Driven by this, John earned a sports scholarship to Yale, where he excelled academically and athletically. After college, John joined AmerTek Industries, a defense contractor as a ballistics and metallurgy expert. At first, he believed he was doing good, using his engineering brilliance to build tools that, in his mind, could protect people. But when prototypes of his weapons were leaked and ended up in the hands of terrorists, John was confronted with the darker side of his work. Horrified by what his inventions had enabled, he destroyed as many remaining prototypes as he could, erased sensitive data, and disappeared. He assumed a low-profile identity, working in steel mills, trying to atone for the guilt he felt deep in his heart. Recently, John has completed a powerful suit of armor he designed and built himself - combining his genius, guilt, and longing for redemption. He now takes to the streets as the represntative of the common man among gods. He built his powers with his own two hands and he's going to use them for justice. P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) Steel enters the RP at a moment when the world was already beginning to tilt toward larger threats. Crises that needed thinkers, builders, and leaders as much as they needed raw power. With the departure of key figures who were previously developing that overarching direction, I want John Henry Irons to naturally grow into that space. My goal with Steel is to explore that tension: a grounded, deeply human character who never intended to become someone the world quietly leans on. His story starts with personal guilt and street-level conflict, but as he begins repairing the damage his inventions have caused, he'll inevitably cross paths with others trying to do the same. Through these encounters, with both allies and enemies, Steel will start to understand that people like him can't work alone. He's an engineer by nature, someone who solves problems by assembling the right parts. Eventually, he'll begin applying that same instinct to people, assembling a team to battle larger threats. The more human aspect of his journey comes from his relationship to his niece, Natasha and her father and his brother, Clay. |
A lot has happened the last few days so I want to make my own intentions clear going forward.
Without spoiling much, my end goal is to form Birds of Prey, and, given I am one of the most active posters at the moment and plan to remain so this is not something I would be flexible on. It's built into my arc.
Gala will go ahead on a smaller scale.
I will continue to write in the RP and re-evaluate where I am when I complete my current arc.

@Sep Sorry for being an idiot if i missed something, but who's the current leader of S.W.O.R.D.? I read through, but didn't see a specific name mentioned. Is it Abigail Brand? Or is this S.W.O.R.D. a subdivision of S.H.I.E.L.D. like the old days?
