@Half Pint, @Bounce, out of curiosity, can any player run an event? And if so, is there a limit on the scale of said event?

Since I like setting up villains and y'know threats that threaten Superman tend to be pretty big...

It's probably touchy, but sometimes there's an appeal to 'invite-only events' where you do almost a mini RP inside the game and you can have a group of players who have already sort how they want it go and what they want accomplished.

I know that would also however rub people the wrong way who feel left out or that they should have been included.

All of the Teen Titans, Two Green Lanterns, The Flash and Kid Flash, and The Question... vs The Joker and Harley Quinn.

It was certainly a choice.

I don't really see this as a problem so long as players aren't getting left out every time. The interactions between certain characters will always be different depending on who's involved. An event concerning Batman and Ghost Rider would be extremely tonally different if Plastic Man were to show up. Again, something to co-ordinate with the GM team though.
