Seeing Tai's hesitance towards the lollipop, Yui hid a smile behind her clasped hands. "Yes, a demonstration would help me visualize your potential in the teaching field. But first, might I suggest we wait for a little while longer? I have a feeling we will be joined by more guests soon enough." True to her word, Yui nodded at the door to let the next student in: Deja Rith. This peaked her interest. Another human student?

"Yes Rith-san? Please come in-" The Headmistress immediately let out a soft sigh as two unpleasant things occurred almost simultaneously.

First and foremost, another student walked right in. Alice Borealis. Taking a brief glimpse of her mind, Yui saw that she was responsible for upsetting a certain sweets loving demon and was now here for obvious instruction.

"What the hell kind of thing am I supposed to be doing?"

Yui didn't even bother to reply as she felt one final force enter into the fray. Shaking her head in disappointment and closing her eyes, she remained quite calm as one of her Vice Principals, Rachel Romano, practically crashed into her office. Thanfully, Yui was able to keep everything from falling over via telepathy. Opening her eyes now, the Esper witnessed a most peculiar sight.

She was definitely getting too old for this.

"Greetings Borealis-san, Romano-san. Romano-san, is there an exact reason why you are late on the first day of school? Again."

Although her face remained expressionless, Yui dug into the drawer once more to fetch two more lollipops. She have a lemon one to Deja, a grape one to Alice, and the orange one Tai had refused earlier to her Vice Principal.

Leaning back slightly in her chair and sucking on her own candy, Yui scanned the lively bunch who had now disturbed the peace in her office.

"Please speak one at a time."

"If you are uncertain what you are doing, you could head next door to the receptionist's office, or simply ask out loud for help and then turn a corner. I am told we have a ninja janitor who generally tends to hear such requests for help, and then she proceeds to assist by making a sign just out of sight around the next corner and then leaving before you turn said corner. I have not tested that personally, however." Tai Yang was unperturbed by the intrusions, following Yui's lead, and answered Alice.

Mark

Mark wrote the last of the combination numbers on his clip board. He had finished assigning the combination locks to the proper locker in both the boy's and girl's locker rooms. He put the empty crate back in his office and sat in his chair. He now had to assign lockers to the students on his roster. He sighed when he notice the larger then normal number of students and slammed his head on his desk. "I need another smoke." He muttered and grabbed his box of cigarettes wondering through the hallways to the closest exit.

Vicky

Vicky sat on the bench and put the water she had been balling up back into her water bottle. She sighed and stood up, nearly falling again. She decided she should attempt to get used to walking on land so she went and wondered the inside of the school.

Alice:

Picking herself up off of the desk, Alice could hardly register what had just happened. A grown woman had just knocked her over, and not an apology to be heard! "What in the four great hells-" She stopped and took the lollipop offered to her. There would be time for retribution later. One of the boys who had been in the room before her offered her some information. She raised an eyebrow at him. "Who are you supposed to be, Bruce Lee?" She leaned against the desk and and rubbed her bruising elbow. "Or you could just tell me now, which sounds like a lot less trouble for me."

Rachel

Rachel laughed haughtily and scurried over to the Head mistress. "Well, you know, once you get to a certain age you have so much more adult responsibilities that you have to take care of and time seems to slip away." She patted the top Yui's head knowingly, trying her hardest not to think of how she'd simply slept in. "But look at all these eager beavers ready to learn! I'm so excited to start molding your minds into beautiful sculptures of friendship!"

Despite trying her absolute hardest, Key could not help the eye roll and depressed sigh that escaped her lips. Of all the things he could have said, did it have to be so... cliche? Of course, she was sure that Aurora would probably enjoy it. She was so young that she'd probably never had anything like that said to her before.

As this thought came to her, her eye's became distant and her mind began to wander. So far, it was safe to assume that Key was immortal, she could not confirm this as she'd never met another of her species (though she was sure they existed), but she had lived 4 full lives so far. It was strange how many people strived to obtain what she had from birth, and yet... she did not want it. She wanted to be like this girl, experiencing things for the first time.

When her attention focused back on Aram, a blush formed on Key's cheeks. After all, there was one thing she had not experienced yet, despite what people probably thought. Pushing the bad thoughts out of her mind, she shook her head. "You needn't give her so many options, Mr. Pollux. Besides, not everyone is like you. Some of us need actual nutrition from our foods," her voice was slightly teasing, but her words were also true.

Through the welcome, the tall, brown-haired student had observed the crowd and Headmistress closely, noting behaviors with an avid curiosity. Despite Yui's young appearance, and apparent fondness for sweets, simple logic proved that she must indeed be quite competent; One did not maintain leadership of a school for students such as these without such skills. The few teachers he had easily noted prompted a myriad of reactions; Curiosity, amusement, mild distaste, among others, but none were held onto for long. He hadn't met any of them yet, after all. First appearances were often deceiving. That said, the student that decided to melt the culinary teacher's, if his guess was correct, food was worth taking note of, if he wished to avoid being a potential target for similar pranks.

As the assembly ended, Abraham Martin stood in a single, easy motion, book tucked under one arm. He slipped through the crowd easily, politely nodding and smiling at the people he passed. Truthfully, he didn't have a real destination in mind. The day was unscheduled, so he didn't have anywhere he needed to be, and he didn't know anyone around him. If he was honest with himself, he was moving just to move.

You are aware that this is rather pointless, yes?

Yes, Fury. I'm aware.

A momentary pause. If you're looking for people, any of these people could be suitable to talk to. They're all intending to be Dawn Slayers, and if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say most of the ones around you are supernatural creatures.

Abraham sighed, giving the sentient sword a 'nod' of acknowledgement. He had a point, however blunt he was in making it. Any of the people around him could be fascinating, in fact, just about anyone within the campus' grounds could be. On the other hand, he didn't know any of them, which meant striking up a conversation was a shot in the dark. After a moment, he sighed again.

He would have to figure out where to start. Reading wasn't polite, nor would it further the creation of new acquaintances and friends.

Ninja Janitor

From the ceiling a sign slowly lowered in front of Abraham, dangling from a screen. If he looked up to examine the source, a ceiling tile had been removed and a pulley was being used to lower the sign from a distance.

Written upon the sign in a variety of languages was, "Feeling down? Feel free to ask for assistance! Here at Hikari Ryodan Academy we have a friendly, helpful, and eccentric staff!"

There was also a small mobius strip crafted out of broken back pack straps in a myriad of colors and materials. The straps seemed to be infused with potpourrii, some of the straps actually haven been taken apart, filled with potpourri, and stitched back together. This was on a hook with notes of "If you like, feel free to take! :)" In various languages. Though the smiley face was fairly universal.

On the first day, before the wave of mechanical break downs and cleaning jobs, summoning the Ninja Janitor was easier than usual, with errant sighs rather than idle words being enough to cause her to "appear".

Aurora

Its awakening....

Paused for a moment..she felt a slight change in her body it was on her spine. She fell onto the floor..breathing very hard, "Ngh..." she was drowning in pain and she didn't know what it was. She heard voices in her mind and reality. Souls that whispered, 'Wings'. She screamed the pain was getting worse. She felt as if her body was rotting away. But it wasn't amounts of power came from her body, something was being added to her that she didn't know but could of guessed what it was. She screamed and screamed rolling around in pain. The burst? was it? Her back felt as if it was burning and a faint glowing would appear on her back her hand slowly raised towards Mrs.Begay trying to call out for help but she simply couldn't. Her hand slapped down onto the floor as she tried to keep in her pain, " Nnnnggh!!! " she bit her lip tightly, small amounts of blood became dripping down.

Time seemingly stopped as she expierenced this moment. She felt waves of pain go through her body and barely could here anything. The shine from her back began getting brighter and brighter by the minute. The pain was morphing into something and it was wings. The wings sent out a fairly bright flash then quickly faded away and there settled a bright pair of wings..though after that Aurora soon layed on the ground knocked out.

"..." Abraham paused, glancing at the sign, and then up at the ceiling, and back to the sign. The sign was actually quite cleverly constructed, and the multiple languages was a very good touch. The artwork from old straps was certainly inventive, too. On a whim, he stopped completely, redirecting his gaze to the open ceiling tile.

"Someone up there?"

The demon couldn’t help but chuckle easily at the librarian’s reaction to his words, and quirked an eyebrow up at what more she had to say…

At this, Aram had to bring a hand up to wag in her face, his smile curling into a wicked devilish smirk…his pointed devil’s tail coming out to wag in a similar manner behind him…”Oh? Nutrients, you say? Tsk tsk…if you’ve lived just enough among the humans, you’d know that there is nothing more nourishing to the heart and soul…than sweets made with love, by a person who really loves them! Ah, well, the cheese aside, I was about to offer the vegan and diet opt—“

At that moment, the young student began to hyperventilate, dropping to the floor and making pained noises. Rolling around on the floor, before anyone could really act…! A burst of light, causing Aram (a demon) to cringe back, came and forming into wings on the girl’s back. Taking a moment to blink back tears from being half-blinded momentarily, the demon knelt and scooped the girl into his arms the typical bridal style, before cocking his head at Miss Begay, “I don’t believe any manner of food is going to do much to solve this…but it seems the worst of whatever this is has passed. I will carry her to my room…” Pausing for a moment at the realization of how suspicious that sounded, “I'd like for you to accompany me. Once I’ve laid her down quite comfortably on my bed, you can watch over her for any more changes, while I go and grab nurse."

Yui said nothing as she felt her Vice Principal gently pat her on the head, treating her like a kid. Oh the irony of those words....Hearing Deja's request, the Headmistress directed a sly smirk in Rachel's direction. "Of course Rith-san. In fact, I know just the perfect member of our staff. And seeing how she has nothing better to do other than to be late to school, I think this is a wonderful learning opportunity for Romano-san."

She beamed up at her Vice Principal with a knowing look. Before the other woman could argue back, Yui had already focused her attention back to Alice and Tai now. "Borealis-san, it's not nice to disregard and label our peers. I'll choose to overlook your incident with Pollux-san for now because it's your first day." She clasped her hands together and leaned in closer. "Ok?"

Giving her a blank stare followed by a smile, Yui then turned to Tai. "And last but not least, Yang-san. I apologize for the sudden intrusions. Perhaps I can have a demonstration sometime after school today? I look forward to seeing what you have to of-"

A jolt. No, it was more like a shot. Gunshot? It felt that way. Something was wrong. This feeling....this presence....it was tainted. Unholy. Dense and violent. She hadn't felt this since....

The Headmistress narrowed her eyes and focused her mind to pinpoint his location. It was close but...there! At the front of the school. Right next to...

Yui composed herself and gave the three students a smile. "I'm sorry, but I must get back to my paper work you see. I hope you three have a pleasant year here in Hikari." There was no doubt that the other staff members felt him too, and maybe even some of the students.

Chomping hard on the last of her pink lollipop, she sent a mental message to the one he was closest to. Ninja Janitor Mitsu Yakimura.

"Yakimura-san. Whoever it is, do not let him near the students." Yui's voice was low and commanding, as that nagging suspicion from the back of her mind began to arise once more.

There was an intruder on campus.

"Is this really what I've been missing out on for all these years? Hmpf. Typical."

He was a tall man in a pristine white suit. Dark hair cropped his head and blood red eyes flitted this way and that. His eyes saw all. Even one of those pathetic janitor ninjas who thought they were clever and invisible. Not to him. Never to him. How long...how long had it been since he walked these very grounds? Seeing a boy with brown hair and a strange sword, he casually walked up to him. No doubt the boy was a student.

"Excuse me young sir, do you mind directing me to the main office? You see, I'm looking for the Headmistress."

Jinx

-A new destination, yet a goal remaining the same.-

As Jinx arrived in this new world she already had a slight clue what was going on, the arc had some information about this place and even if it was not complete it sufficed to survive. This was some kind of academy where they taught stuff to people, it was rather simple and they did so to create Dawn Slayers which was some kind of balance keepers whom stood at the possible side of light or darkness depending on what they needed to do. Yet Jinx hardly cared what their true purpose was, the only thing she cared about was to survive this whole ordeal, and thus she had braced herself with what little Intel she could gather. It soon proved to Jinx that the most obvious way to hide among these people were to simply stand in the wide open and blend in with the odd crew of the crowd. While Jinx were at it however, she couldn't resist the temptation of looting as many pockets that she virtually could with all the obvious pushes and bumps the crowd suffered from.

As she finally reached the location where the headmistress girl or whatever they called the queen of this place held a speech she had gathered quite a stash for herself. To first gain this words cash along with whatever else she could found was only step one in the plan. When she eventually returned to the arc, new objects from different worlds and locations would open the possibility to travel to those times and locations meaning that they gained infinite possibilities from gathering these items. Then again the gathering of regular artifacts was also very important to sustain the arc with energies drawn from these items.

As Jinx listened to the speech she heard the crunching from the queen showing of that she really disrespected them all by eating right in front of them, and right in the middle of the speech. This made Jinx frown as she hardly believed that they were supposed to serve under someone so cruel... Jinx heard her own belly rumbling at the thought of food, and she tried to not groan audible as she tried to silence it as to not wake attention. Around her were countless people, and Jinx could only guess that nearly none of these people suffered from starvation like she did herself, thus seeing the queen eat while speaking only made her more pissed.

Some people ate to survive in this world... but there was also those that seemed to live to eat... and this Queen seemed to already be one of those. As the speech ended Jinx removed herself from the presence of others and attempted to find a dark and lonely place where she could speak to the wizard in peace. And as she found an empty old janitor closet she shut herself in and spoke to him in peace. They didn't talk about much interesting, it was much only that Jinx confirmed that she really had to do this... and that she groaned that she was forced too stay here. She handed over the loot an then went back to find something to do, or rather wait until she was told what to do by the slavers here.. or teachers depending on point of view what you liked to call them.

Abraham swiveled on the spot, taking his attention, momentarily, away from whoever it was in the ceiling. The newest speaker was very much an oddity; Tall man, white suit. Not a teacher, otherwise he wouldn't be asking about the Headmistress. He'd have thought student, perhaps, but... Those red eyes. Not the color, not in and of itself; Plenty of supernatural species manifested eyes of a similar nature, and though they were odd, he didn't pay them much mind.

No, it was the way they moved. Not in the curiosity or fascination of a student, or the watchful gaze of a teacher; They moved as if greedy to take in everything there was to be seen, and with the way the man's gaze lingered on the ceiling, it was like he could see everything at once. Greedy, with a vague disdain, as if the campus didn't live up to his expectations, somehow below his standards. The swordsman could feel the hairs on his neck raise, but he forced himself to smile politely. The man was probably nothing to be concerned about, he was simply overreacting.

Failing to trust your instincts isn't wise.

"I'm sorry, sir, but I'm not sure where she is." He said civilly, the smile never fading. "Could I take a message? I'm sure I could find a teacher around here who could take you to her."

Key was refraining from rolling her eyes again when the child suddenly fell to the ground. Her screams of pain sent Key to the past, and she found herself frozen, unable to do anything but remember.

The children gathered around her, cruel expressions on their faces, with only one goal in mind. "Kill the witch!" they screamed at each other while the young girl in front of them cowered...

Before the memory could continue, a presence on the grounds of the academy broke her from her daze. "...while I go and grab nurse." was all that she heard from Aram, but she had caught the gist. This girl needed help, and well... leaving her alone with Aram just wasn't a good idea, even if he was in love with food more than girls. Oh. That's what he was saying. He wanted her to watch the girl while he went to get a nurse.

Her hand made its way to Aurora's forehead in concern. "Yes. Yes, we should do that..." but then she remembered what had snapped her out of the past. "Did you feel that?" she asked, looking up at him. Perhaps, it was nothing, and she was only overreacting.

Ninja Janitor

Just as Abraham had approached to look at the ceiling, he might have gotten a glimpse of a feminine hand, covered in light blue cloud body art, outstretched, placing another sign.

Another sign dropped down to Abraham. This one only had words written on one side.

"RUN! HE'S AN INTRUDER!"

Meanwhile, a floor tile directly above the intruder, and most of the ones nearby, collapsed when the bottom half of a larger than household sized hot water heater dropped through it. The only possible explanation for this being here was that said half of a hot water heater seemed to be halfway through the process of being engraved with flowing rivers, Japanese dragons, and stylized volcanoes. There also seemed to be an in progress fountain/tea brewer being integrated into its systems. Was it being made into a decorative tea fountain?

Still, Yakimura was not one to put art before the safety of her students. She dropped this before the intruder got too close to Abraham for it to be safe. She dropped down out of the ceiling a moment afterwards behind the target and the water heater, two blades drawn and striking forward immediately as her toes reached the ground, as though she expected her attack of about fifty pounds of metal and a hundred pounds of about 80 degree water, sorry, make that tea, to be a mild distraction.
