Before My fire abilities really grew, there was a cataclysmic event that covered out world in fire, creatures that we though were born from the flame were actually human who were converted to those creatures, whether by force or by chance. I was apart of a group that fought those beings and kept people safe, while also investigating why these events occurred.

Well, partially was because of some invasive insects that we were able to control. These insects were being used by a fanatic cult that wanted us to burn.
