My blood actually boils at encountering wannabes. Especially weeaboos. But there is something I just cannot respect in a person if they throw away all the culture they're born with to be someone and something else that they're not.

And I hate subtle racism. I'm not talking about the active kind. It's very, very real.
...it also tends not to be anybody's fault, but the societal views surrounding white people, that are generally more positive than any other race.
In my part of the world, it's very real. White privilege? I don't know. But it makes me mad my family will not have the same opportunities as a white one.

A few years back I was working at a charity shop, and at Christmas it was just... Oh lord. Oh dear lord. And to make matters worse, the person in charge of the sound system most of the days I worked was a huge fan of Cliff Richard. And I'll tell you something, I'd rather listen to literally any other music than bloody Cliff Richard. He's the dullest thing ever, basically the fucking nadir of music. Slowly sapped my will to live during those tough times, which was kind of not exactly the best thing when you have to put up with Christmas shoppers and a sudden rise in the level of shoplifting.

Yes, shoplifting. In a charity shop. Some people...

Of course, my personal grievance this year is that I'm so emotionally exhausted from such a crappy year that it just doesn't feel like Christmas. I just want the year to hurry up and end already.

Once got a deluge of hatemail and death threats about how homophobic I was for not being a fan of a particular magical girl ship... Despite the fact that I'm bi, my best friend is gay, and oh yeah, I mentioned other lesbian ships I liked in the same post as this supposedly "homophobic" message (which again, basically amounted to "eh, not a huge fan of that particular pairing").

Is it just something about Tumblr that attracts the worst parts of any kind of subculture? Because that's what it always seems like, and it's really annoying because then you get extremist lunatics using these other extremist lunatics as a way to justify hatred for the saner, more tolerant majority of these subcultures. :\

This could just be me here, but last I checked, it's a helluva lot more difficult to kill an idea among a group with no uniform than it is an oppressive regime in a country that wasn't beefing with you directly and being good at hiding their loyalties before this. Hell, our whole part of the war was just fighting Japan. We didn't get involved with Nazis until later in the game, and by then other countries had done most of the work.
